An old photo, now more enclosed. A bit dated but fine for a week's holiday. Shower claustrophobic. A shame the nearby stretch of coastal path was closed (and looked overgrown). Unfortunately did not see any red squirrels but plenty of other wildlife.

Would you return?
Possibly, although likely to look for dog friendly bungalow in future and possibly one with EV charging point.

We had a lovely break in this well presented bungalow. It was lovely to be a bit of the beaten track and so quiet but still easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. The bungalow is very well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment and waste bins in each room (often missing in holiday lets). Comfortable beds with great pillow. In fact everything you need.
Only slight down side was the TV which has a slightly complicated set up that we failed to make work using the instructions, but there is good Wi-Fi so managed to watch when we wanted to using catch up and streaming services. We did report this so hopefully it will be sorted out.
Overall a lovely bungalow in in a secluded situation that provides a peaceful and comfortable holiday.

We loved rural quiet location and the spacious bungalow. Enjoyed having own sink in room. Only down side was uncomfortable sofas in lounge.

Musty smell on arrival, out door furniture needed cleaning before use, relaxer chairs needed replacing. Heating and hot water system a challenge, shower over bath would not maintain a constant temperature , the water control on second shower fell off. All very dated, tourist informacion was mainly 3 years out of date. No welcome pack of any sort.
Well equiped and good sized rooms.

We have had a wonderful week at Baltija. The bungalow was very spacious and well-equipped. The location was so peaceful, and we were able to take a walk down to the coastal path and the local bay one afternoon - beautiful views. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful when I rang with a couple of questions, and they booked our ferry for us with a discount. We definitely want to return.

A large property that has not had much updating since it was built. Well equipped and most things worked well, although I suspect it might have taken an entire day to run a bath! Pleasant grounds. Would be a very economical place for a large family

Baltija was a comfortable holiday home that was ideal for our 3 generation family holiday. A little dated in decor but very clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds and nice quality bed linen & towels. A few more electric sockets would have been handy in the bedrooms, but we purchased an adapter which solved the problem. The bathrooms were very clean and served their purpose. The showers were not particularly powerful but again served their purpose. The lounge & dining area was very spacious with enough seating for all and a lovely outlook onto the garden and beyond (sea view!) Our grandson used the high chair and that was very handy! The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything and more that we required during our stay. We only used the outside decking area a couple of times but if the weather had been warmer in the evenings we would have used more! The bungalow is a little dated in decor but it didn’t affect our holiday. Overall we all really enjoyed our stay in this lovely quiet location and it was a great base to visit the many lovely places on the IOW. Thank you!

For us this has been the best property we’ve found on the island. The
Undercliff is a beautiful, quiet area well placed for visiting the rest of the island. The coastal path close to the bungalow has excellent views. A very comfortable, spacious place.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to spend a week or two, Baltija will certainly provide that. I have stayed at this property for several years, if you like walking there is plenty to choose from in the area, coastal or cliffs, I can recommend High Hat, where you can pick up the path from Seven Sisters Road, it’s a steep climb up but you will be rewarded with magnificent views.

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a well equipped kitchen. Great location for coastal walks, and not too far to get into Vendor for shopping (can't help the lack of a pavement in places!)
One thing I would improve would be the size of the 'double' bed - did it a bit hard sleeping comfortably.

A good quiet location and very comfortable accommodation. However the property did not quite come up to our expectations due to the following:- 1) No welcome note, milk or anything else (surely not because of the corona virus?). 2) There was no key in one of the bathrooms so could not be locked. 3) One bedroom had no light bulb (and no spares that we could see) 4) Some of the dishes in the cupboard had mould on (possibly put away wet) and some other bowls and cutlery were rather dirty. 5) The books from the shelves had been bagged (which was fine) but these appear to have been thrown into the airing cupboard around the spare sheets etc and some had come out of the bags onto the sheets. 6) During a power cut the night lights that we were told to use were not present above the cooker and only tall candles were present which we were told NOT to use! 7) The window in the kitchen could only be closed by pushing it from outside. 8) The vacuum cleaner didn't appear to work so cleaning was made more difficult.
I would possibly recommend this property to others but as the choice is either yes or no so I have had to choose the latter.

An Island Holiday Homes folder is in the property welcoming guests to Baltija with lots of useful information about the property and location. Provisions are not normally provided in the IHH properties, however the owner kindly leaves leave tea, coffee and sugar for guest use. We ask guests to report any maintenance or housekeeping issues to us during their stay so we have the opportunity to put things right. We are sorry that we did not have this opportunity. Due to the pandemic for guest safety, potential high touch have been bagged up and put away. The owner will shortly be visiting the property and will take on board your feedback and look at ways of improving guest experience. We hope you will book to return again to this lovely property again.

We come to the Isle often to visit family and have stayed in many places. Ventnor can be steep so when we found this bungalow we thought it would be perfect for her. It's not very modern and the showers were very powerless but other than that, we thought it was perfect. Sitting on the veranda eating breakfast was lovely. Its a short walk to woody bay which is a quiet beach, albeit a bit rocky. It was very quiet other than chickens next door and the odd lawn mower. We'll be back!

This is a really spacious bungalow with a great outlook. Good to have a well equipped kitchen, it's worth bringing some coffee pods for the Lavazza machine - it makes excellent coffee. The outside dining area was really popular, we had all our meals there. It doesn't mention it the property description that there are views of the sea from there. The walk down the lane to Woody Bay was a great end to each day.
