Elegant well equipped apartment situated a little way above the sea front. There is off street parking and several steps down to your own entrance. The host is friendly, welcoming and easy to contact. The local provisions she left as a welcome were great.
We were easily able to get to all places on the island. We did find the beds too firm for us but it’s difficult to meet everyone’s preference with that!

Ventnor sea front is close enough to walk too and is also close to the Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed our stay at Little Grosvenor. Ventnor is a good location with good facilities nearby and also plenty to see in the surrounding area. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Little Grosvenor is a lower ground/garden flat. The front door is located down a few steps on the RHS of the parking area. All the rooms are enormous, particularly the master bedroom. The flat is beautifully decorated and clean. We were fortunate to have stayed in the first week in September 2023 when we had very hot weather, the flat stayed cool throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and Claire provided some complimentary I o W produce in the fridge as a welcome gift. Claire was very accommodating and provided us with a personalized manual with contact numbers, places to eat, visit etc...We don't normally stay in the same place twice, but in this instance we would definitely consider it. Highly recommended.

We have not long returned from staying in this gorgeous ground floor apartment. The host and owner met us when we arrived and talked us through the flat which was really helpful, she recommended lots of lovely places to eat and things to do. The property itself was immaculate, beautifully decorative and well equipped with everything you would need. We are a family of 4 and there was plenty of space. We had our own decked garden outside which had a table and chairs which we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening. The location was perfect, it was 10 mins walk to lots oh shops and the beach in the charming town of Ventnor. Also all other parts of the Island were very accessible. The other bonus was having a parking space which is great as there is no need to look where to park. We will definitely stay again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely holiday place to stay.

Little Grosvenor was a lovely, spacious, well appointed flat. It had everything we needed for our stay, including maps and books of walks. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the sunshine at the end of the day. The owner who lived above was extremely helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. We will return as Ventnor is a good place from which to explore the island.

The online description didn't make clear that this is a lower ground floor apartment with restricted views and feeling slightly "closed-in". Inside furnishings, TV, etc were excellent but the only outside seating received the (late April) sun well after 3pm. We missed having anywhere to sit in the morning sun. The friendly owner (living above) controlled the heating but was very cooperative when we asked for a little more warmth. Very convenient for island bus services and the walk back up from Ventnor with its many eating places was not too challenging. No TV or radio in the main bedroom but if this is a problem then bring a bluetooth speaker as we did.

All arrangements prior to arrival were expertly handled and on arrival we were met by Claire the owner who put herself out to explain everything that had been done to sanitise the property. We had just arrived home from a wonderful holiday based at Little Grosvenor. Claire the owner is very welcoming and helpful if you need her. The property is extremely well decorated and furnished and has absolutely everything you need. It was spotless (Claire provided 3 pages of information as to what had been cleaned and how it had been sanitised). The property is ideally situated for Ventnor town restaurants and beach (although it is very hilly so you need to be reasonably fit to walk back up the hill after a night out). It is within easy reach to Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill. We would definitely stay again when next on the Isle of Wight.

Our delayed trip from Easter 2020 and it was worth the wait. Brilliant apartment that was so clean and really nicely decorated with lovely attention to detail. We felt really at home and the location was perfect for walking into Ventnor and exploring other parts of the island. Claire was a great host - so friendly and welcoming. Brought us the papers on the rainy Sunday morning and her daughter gave my daughter a book as she finished hers. We loved it so much we tried to book for Easter 2022 when we got back but already booked up. We will definitely return at some point though. Thanks :-)

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The rooms are decorated and presented very well. All are an excellent size with loads of room for my family of four. Although it's on the lower ground floor you wouldn't know it. Big windows let in lots of light. Good location close to town and Claire was very friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend.

The meet and greet as soon you arrive was a lovely personal touch - far nicer than the usual keybox , let yourself in and work it all out for yourselves !!
Claire (host/owner) was very friendly and approachable and gave us lots of tips/information on where to visit during our holiday, she was always just at the end of the phone if needed but not intrusive.
The apartment was immaculate and spotless and far bigger than we thought. Usually the reality is far different from the photo's you see but on this occasion is was the other way round - a superbly furnished and spacious apartment. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need, it was a real home from home experience. The outdoor seating at the back is a real suntrap each afternoon (2 - 7ish depending on time of year), it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon sunshine after a day out exploring.
The apartment was well situated and having off-road parking (1 car) was an absolute bonus. It was a short 10-15min walk to Ventnor seafront, you can also pick up the Coastal path easily enough from here too.
This really was a gem of a find, and I have no hesitation in recommending this property to others who are visiting the island....so don't hesitate to get it booked as it is very popular !!!

Claire was very friendly and approachable, she even bought the Sunday papers for us in addition to leaving us local milk, eggs and butter which was very much appreciated. The apartment is situated less than a 10 minute walk from the amazing Crave ice cream shop which is at the top of the town centre. The coastal hopper bus is well worth doing, beautiful views and you can hop on and off as much as you like.

Little Grosvenor was absolutely beautiful. The owner Claire was so lovely and helpful. If there was a complaint it was with either Cottages.com or Island holidays. Because we were asked to change our days from Friday to a Saturday, which we couldn’t, as our flights were booked. So we had to pay an extra £100.00 for a B&B on the Friday night. So we paid full price for seven nights but could only stay six. Apart from that the actual holiday was wonderful.

We had a lovely week here - Clare was ever so helpful and thoughtful. The flat is bigger than it looked in the photos though we hadn’t realised it was a basement (which may be entirely our fault for not reading carefully) so we were a little disappointed by the lack of views! It’s great to have off street parking and the flat is spotless and very well maintained.

Thank you for your feedback and kind review. The host has had some wonderful feedback from past guests too so this is always appreciated. We would like to correct the comment about it being a basement, this is technically incorrect and the apartment is classed as 'lower ground floor' or 'garden floor' and this apartment has full size windows front and back and none of the residence is below ground level as such. We know this may sound somewhat pedantic but this is a fairly important factor from a point of view of accurate marketing. The apartment is marketed as a garden floor because, although there aren't views from the front rooms [they look into a recessed and tiered area away from the windows], the rear windows look into the private patio area and this is on ground level with a door to access this - this patio back straight onto the large garden for the main house, which backs onto down-land. Basement would imply darkness and dampness and this apartment certainly isn't either and the photos depict the windows and level of light entering this wonderful space. We have had a lovely time staying in this apartment. Clare made sure that it was spotlessly clean for our arrival and all possible touch points had been treated with anti bacterial cleaner for our safety.
The apartment is light and airy and the patio garden was lovely to sit in late afternoon when we returned from our excursions around the island.
We hope to be able to return for another visit soon.

Little Grosvenor is the most welcoming self-catering property we have stayed in.
From the moment we were greeted by the owner Claire we knew that it would be an enjoyable two-week break.
The property was spotless and she explained everything had been cleaned with an anti-bacterial product which put our minds at rest considering the current circumstances.
The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly want and everywhere was very comfortable.
The position was excellent with just a short walk into the town and down to the front.
The decking area at the rear of the property was lovely to relax in later in the day and the benefit of a dedicated off-road parking space was also very useful.
Claire was a wonderful host and we would have no hesitation in booking again.

Little Grosvenor is the nicest self catering apartment that we have stayed in. It was beautifully decorated and furnished, and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for our holiday, and Claire was a great host. With just a 10 minute walk down to the sea, the location is excellent, and lots of the nearby attractions are an easy short drive away as well. Would definitely stay here again!

On arrival we immediately felt we had arrived somewhere luxurious as the attention to detail, cleanliness and beautiful furnishings made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. We must also compliment our host, Claire. She was a fantastic host, who attended to our every need. Claire was very friendly, welcoming and personable. We loved our stay at Little Grosvenor; it was exactly what we needed at this time. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner, who had cleaned the property meticulously and provided a detailed breakdown of what had been cleaned in each room. This put our minds at ease so we could get on with enjoying our holiday. It is a beautiful apartment with plenty of space for a family of four. It was very comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed. It was lovely to have a nice outside space and the location provided lots of scope for exploring, with the beach to the front and St Boniface Down to the rear.

Little Grosvenor is a spacious, stylish and very comfortable apartment in a prime location and within 10 minutes walk of the beach.
A warm welcome from Claire on arrival, local grocery provisions, top quality furnishings, appliances and fittings in every room made for a relaxing and happy holiday experience.
The outside space was delightful and the apartment is situated in a quiet, yet convenient, area of town.
With an abundance of cafes and local shops within Ventnor, and a frequently served bus stop just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, the use of a car is not essential.
Little Grosvenor is an absolute gem - airy, bright, spotless and very well maintained.
Claire is a wonderful host and I would recommend her beautiful apartment without reservation.

We enjoyed staying in Little Grosvenor, the apartment was spotless and very tastefully furnished. Just be aware that it is a basement apartment as we didn’t realise that when booked - not really obvious from the photos. On the plus side this did make it very cool in the summer heat! The parking was also a bit tricky as you have to reverse into the driveway through a smallish gate, though you do get used to it eventually. It was still a very nice place - family friendly with a cot and highchair. Our 18 months old enjoyed playing in the little enclosed garden/deck area and the toys and books provided by the owner were such a nice touch.

Dima, thank you for your kind review, I am delighted that you found Little Grosvenor both spotless and very tastefully furnished. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I would just like to clarify a couple of points for future guests choosing to stay........Little Grosvenor is advertised as a 'garden apartment' as it opens out onto its own decked garden (measuring 30ft x 13.5ft) at the rear of the property at ground level. The garden overlooks St Boniface Down and receives the sun between 3pm-7.30pm making it ideal for alfresco dining or just chilling in at the end of a busy day. The front of the apartment is South facing with large Victorian windows taking advantage of the Ventnor sunshine and making it very light and airy. The driveway gated entrance measures 11ft wide (or 330cms). Guests can choose whether to drive into the driveway or reverse in. Thank you again for your review.

Very good booking process through Island Holiday Homes who were also very helpful when we spoke to them. The flat was super, very clean, very spacious and beautifully and tastefully presented. The town and esplanade are an easy walk from the flat. Parking is slightly tricky as you have to reverse into a fairly tight space off the main road but it's not too bad when you get used to it and you have the benefit of being right in front of the flat. Parking on the main road is also possible.

We spent a week at Little Grosvenor which was light, spacious and well equipped. The accommodation is tastefully decorated to a very good standard and spotlessly clean throughout. The owner Claire who lives above the flat met us on arrival and was very helpful with lots of information about the Island and the local area. Ventnor town centre and esplanade is a short walk away and although there are a number of pubs only one the Spy Glass was inviting enough to draw us in. However there are some excellent restaurants. We often stay in holiday homes / cottages and this was one of the best. There were two of us but the accommodation would comfortably accommodate four. We really enjoyed our visit and would stay at Little Grosvenor again.

The wonderful 'Little Grosvenor' is a large, spacious apartment which is equipped to a high quality standard. Claire is a wonderful host and was there on hand if we needed anything at all. Wir wurden von der Wohnung nicht enttäuscht.
Sie ist sehr groß und mit vielen Details sehr gut ausgestattet.
Die Wohnung liegt im Untergeschoß und hat eine Terrasse mit Stühlen und Deckchair.
Eine große Küche mit großem Herd macht Spaß zum kochen.
Parkplatz ist vor der Türe.
Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilft bei Fragen zu Ausflügen oder gibt Tipps.
Wir können die Wohnung ohne Einschränkung empfehlen und werden wiederkommen.

We have a lovely holiday in the Little Grosvenor. Very clean, tidy and beautiful setting. The gardens were perfect for sitting out after a hard day of sight seeing. The master bedroom was huge and there was plenty of room to move around freely. Would definitely recommend. We hope to return!

This was described as being a ground floor apartment and we knew it did not have a sea view, but on arrival we were rather taken aback to see that it was more like a basement! None the less, it was very spacious, very comfortable, clean and very well appointed. Claire was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

We had a fantastic stay here with a very warm reception from Claire. The apartment has everything you need with the only requirement you need is food to fill all the cudboards/fridge and freezer up. Great base to explore the island with some good walks around the coasts. The week went so fast, will definitely be going back to Little Grosvenor

We enjoyed staying at little Grosvenor. It had everything you could need for a relaxing home from home. It was furnished with top quality furniture and extremely clean and tidy. It was close to all the amenities in Ventnor, but be prepared for a hike up the hills to get back from the seafront. It is a good central base for visiting the island. Claire is the perfect host and nothing is too much trouble for her. I would recommend a stay here you won't be disappointed .

We had an amazing 2 week family holiday at Little Grosvenor. It extremely spacious and light and clean. All furnishings and appliances are up to date and well cared for. We were made to feel welcome by the owner, who took the time to show us around, provided milk on arrival and chocolate for the children. She also left us a letter with information on how to use everything, plus recommendations on where to eat and what to do. She was also very proactive in assisting us when asked, although never intrusive. The lovely cleaner came in and gave the apartment a freshen up in the middle of our 2 weeks, completely unexpected and much appreciated. The parking is available on the drive right outside the apartment so it is very convenient. It is a short walk into town, and then down to the beach and is in a very nice quiet,location. Ventnor is a great little seaside town and we really hope to come back again next year

This is the nicest apartment we have ever stayed in. No bits of old furniture and ornaments but design led and extremely tasteful.
The owner was very pleasant and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
If there was anything I could do to improve it would be a few more kitchen utensils and maybe a couple of small mixing bowls for porridge/scrambled eggs etc. Otherwise the cooking facilities were excellent.
The beds were very comfortable with good quality linens and the sofa and chairs in the lounge were also very comfortable.
The south coast of the IOW is very beautiful and the apartment is well placed for getting around either by car, or by local bus service which is useful for walking parts of the coastal path.
Fabulous weather made our holiday, we hope to return soon.

We stayed at Little Grosvenor during the Easter holidays with our 3 small children. We had a really happy restful holiday and the apartment was fantastic. The rooms were cleaned beautifully for when we arrived and everything that you would need for a week was at hand. Claire (the landlady) was very welcoming and helpful. She provided a fantastic wooden cot and box of toys for the boys and gave us excellent recommendations about where to visit and eat. A very happy week in a lovely apartment.

Little Grosvenor is spacious, light and airy, with pleasing, well maintained interior decs and furnishings. The kitchen is properly equipped, the beds are comfortable, and there is another TV in the second bedroom. There is plenty of storage space and (hallelujah!) plenty of hangers in the wardrobe.
The view out of the kitchen and second bedroom windows, and from the verandah outside, is dramatic, facing north onto the steep, high and wooded side of Bonchurch Down. No sea views, but the High Street is less than a ten-minute walk away - downwards going, but quite steep coming back! However, even suffering from ME, I made it back up (slowly) after an evening in a local hostelry, and there is ample parking down there (with a huge car park right opposite a late opening Tesco). It's about another ten minutes from the High Street to the beach/esplanade.
The owner lives above the flat and is friendly and helpful, paying a lot of attention to detail. The accommodation is extremely good value for money, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or relative.
I would just say one thing for anybody staying who has arthritis or weakness in their hands or wrists; the doorknobs on the inside of the front and back doors are quite stiff - it would be a good idea to take a device with you such as the one you would use to get the tight lids off jars.

We stayed in Little Grosvenor for a week this September. The apartment is large and airy and is styled beautifully by Claire the owner, who resides in the upper half of this Victorian house. The location is spot on with a 10 minute walk to the main Ventnor High St and a further 5 minutes to the esplanade. Claire and family keep a very discreet distance but if you need anything, she is always available. Sadly it wasn't warm enough to sit out and enjoy the lovely terrace and as it is North facing, you need to grab the sunshine at certain times of the day, but overall this was the classiest place we have stayed in, in Ventnor, and we have been there over a dozen times. Would not hesitate to return in the future.

We had a lovely stay at little grovesnor and highly recommend it. The appartment is spacious, comfortable and beautifuly decorated. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
the location is excellent and there is lots to do locally including walking and lovely beaches. The appartment is very safe for families with young children and the garden is secure. We used a cot that was supplied by the owners and it was very good quality. If you stay here here you would not regret it!

This is a wonderful apartment...spacious, modern & very clean., this has to be the best l have stayed in since making my annual visits over the past 10 years.
The owner is very welcoming and takes the time to show you around with the 'workings' of all the equipment. Recommendations of where to eat/visit in the surrounding area are also supplied for the first time visitor.
The Master Bedroom is very large and very well furnished as are all the rooms., The lounge is beautifully decorated, with coordinating fabrics & furnishings, this will accommodate 6 people with ease. .
The kitchen is again large and is newly fitted with good quality appliances, all in immaculate condition. From here there is a door which leads onto a lovely wood decked patio, also well furnished, this has lovely views as it backs onto the downs.
This apartment is worthy of 5 stars and l would recommend to anyone who would appreciate the love and care that the owner has put into it. Thank you for a wonderful stay, l do hope that l am able to return on my next visit.

My family and I had a wonderful break over Christmas at Little Grosvenor. The flat is wonderful, light, spacious, beautifully decorated with good quality bed linen and towels. It is comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and the added extra of a Christmas tree and fairy lights made our break all the more festive. The welcome bottle of wine on arrival was also a lovely thought and I found the owner friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Little Grosvenor as a central bolt hole to tour the island with the Tennyson Downs and beach walks very close by and a leisurely walk into Ventnor town for everyday amenities or for a drink overlooking the beach.
