Had a lovely week. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped with a large enclosed garden which was great for the dog. The welcome hamper had lots of items in it and was a lovely touch. The location of the cottage was perfect, the sea at the end of the road and Yarmouth a short walk away.

Rofford Lodge is definitely one of the best self-catering places we have stayed in (and there have been many!). It is spacious and bright, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We all felt instantly at home. The welcome basket was very generous, including both goodies and practical supplies. The garden was alive with wildlife (including red squirrels and kestrels), and the lodge is directly opposite a nature reserve and a footpath along the former railway line to one of our favourite eateries, ‘Off The Rails’. It is also a very short walk to the seafront. All in all, Rofford Lodge was perfect for our needs, and we would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Spacious and well-appointed accommodation, suitable for three couples or a family with children. Each of the three bedrooms had its own bath or shower room. The open plan living area was comfortable and bright with plenty of seating, games and books. The kitchen area had all the necessary equipment and plenty of cookware and crockery. The owners provided a sumptuous "welcome basket" of food and vases of fresh flowers. The garden has a large lawn suitable for ball games and there is ample outdoor seating. The cottage is in a quiet location but only a twenty minute walk from Yarmouth along a footpath/cycle track with a delightful cafe midway.

This is a traditional home style property. It has a lovely secure garden and a quick walk to Yarmouth. They take dogs and we all love it and come back for more.

As is the title - 'Our IOW Home' with the added bonus of a fabulous hamper & vase of flowers awaiting our arrival. Rofford is warm &comfortable, has plenty of hot water & freshly made beds ready to sink into.
It's always a delight to come home to the IOW & Rofford for a week before Christmas, having family & friends over for afternoon tea, drinks or dinner - there is ample seating on comfy sofas & around the dining table. The open plan kitchen is well stocked with ample pots, pans, crockery, glasses etc.
Rofford is but a short stroll along the road to the sea front & only a five minute walk from there into the small but perfectly formed coastal town of Yarmouth.

Thank you Rofford Lodge for keeping us dry in the very wet half term week! We all enjoyed our holiday and the stay in the lodge was very comfortable. Slippers are an essential packing requirement when staying here but the children didn’t seem to notice the flooring throughout but we understood why this was used. Very well equipped, even a step in the bathroom for the kids. We were very excited to see a red squirrel on a number of occasions from the comfort of the lodge. Fish and chips from Yarmouth were a hit and large supermarkets not far away and a hop from the ferry to make access really easy.

Really comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed, the owners had put out lots of things in anticipation for the baby in our family.
Really helpful selection of goodies provided - much appreciated.
Lovely to have the cot in the adjoining nursery to the room we slept in.
The house is light and airy with views into the enclosed garden.
Yarmouth town is only a very short walk away and there are lots of lovely walks that start from the Lodge of varying lengths. Great choices for eating in Yarmouth. You could easily stay here without a car if you chose to.
The guest book shows lots of returning families and we would like to come back ourselves sometime.

We were called on the trip to the IOW by Island Holidays who had somehow confused our booking. The owners thought we were arriving several days later so had to rush to clean the house with no chance to mow the lawns or set out the garden furniture. It felt as if it had been empty for some time, lots of spiders and cobwebs, but the beds were clean and comfy. Very well stocked with kitchen appliances, almost as if people had lived there. Nice welcome pack and we appreciated it had been prepared in a heck of a rush due to miscommunication

We were asked to amend the ferry to the Island due to illness within the family and accordingly the owner was advised of the delayed arrival. It later came to light that there were other party members coming on the original check in day. The owners were immediately advised and made sure the property was ready for guests. We apologise for any confusion as a result of the communication.

We had a lovely stay at Rofford Lodge, the location is superb with lovely walks direct from your door. Yarmouth and Freshwater are both easy walks away. Well equipped house, good layout. TV is a little on the small side for such a large lounge & the garden could be more securely fenced, if you have a small dog it may not be suitable. Beds and bedrooms are very comfortable. The Isle of Wight is a fantastic place so much to do and extremely welcoming to visitors with dogs.

Our October half term break at Rofford Lodge was excellent. There was a lovely welcoming hamper with not only basics but luxury items too. Cut flowers were also another delightful surprise.
The large open plan suited our two families very well. We used the downstairs bedroom which had on-suite shower and was very large and comfortable. The bedrooms upstairs were ample for the rest of the family. Another of these on-suites could have usefully included a shower although we managed to share the downstairs.
The weather was very good considering the season and we visited many sites on the island. The walk into Yarmouth, to the pubs, only took 15 mins. Also had breakfast at “Off the rails” in the old railway station which was excellent.
A very comfortable well located and presented holiday base. It was surprisingly roomy throughout and with a large garden. The parking for two cars could be improved to make it easier for either car to leave, as first in gets trapped.

We had an excellent holiday in Rofford Lodge with everything provided to ensure our stay was very relaxing. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the most amazing welcome hamper we have ever experienced in many years of cottage holidays was a real bonus. A beautiful floral display in the lounge and fresh flowers in the bedroom was a lovely touch. The large garden was very secure and thoroughly enjoyed by our dog. It was an easy walk in to Yarmouth and its excellent facilities. Highly recommend a holiday in Rofford Lodge.

We have recently returned from our second stay at Rofford Lodge, hoping to book a third soon. It has everything we need, perfect location, lovely large garden, very well equipped kitchen and every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is perfect for sharing your holiday with friends or family. During our first stay the boiler developed a problem, we made a phone call and someone was over almost immediately and problem sorted, excellent service.

For a number of years we have used Rofford Lodge as a 'home from home' base to entertain both family & friends, most of whom live on the Isle Of Wight, to enjoy the lead up to Christmas together. There has never been a need, want or desire not catered for; the Lodge is always clean, warm, well supplied with both kitchen equipment & bedding, bathroom & other furnishings. There will always be flowers or a plant but most exciting is the fabulous hamper which is there just waiting our arrival. The holding damage deposit is always cancelled within hours of our vacating the Lodge.

This was our fourth visit to Rofford Lodge and everything was as expected except for a water leak from behind the dishwasher which required regular mopping up and the boiler failure on the last day. It was a shame that these things took the edge of what was otherwise a lovely week on the Island.

This was our second visit to Rofford Lodge and the accommodation was all that we hoped for. The town of Yarmouth was an easy walk either via the old railway walk or along the sea front. There were plenty of other walks within easy travelling distance. It felt safe considering the circumstances we are living in at this present time and all the people on the Island were obeying all the government guidelines. The lodge was extremely comfortable, clean and tidy with lots of personal details.
We will certainly return to this property.

A lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a fab location. Only a short walk to Yarmouth. Everything you need for a great holiday is provided. We stayed 1 week in late September. The cottage is lovely set up and the owner is very considerate by providing a couple disposal mask and gloves also hand sanitizer. Kitchen is fully equipped. We just love the cottage such looking forward to revisit soon

We've stayed at Rofford on several occasions some years ago but the family grew too big for it. This year, numbers being fewer, we were able to return to what we refer to is 'Our Island Home'.
We use self catering accommodation several times a year & have done so for more than forty years - Rofford is one of very few holiday lets that truly feels like a home. Very welcoming, clean, warm & comfortable, spacious, has everything anyone could ever want - be it kitchen equipment, linen, garden furniture, BBQ etc.
The welcome hamper & vase of winter flowers was just the icing on the cake.

Rofford lodge is a great holiday rental. We loved the open plan ground floor, the garden space and the luxury of en-suites to the bedrooms. Proper showers in the upstairs bedrooms and a wardrobe in the second bedroom would enhance the stay immensely.

This was our second stay at Rofford Lodge, the property continues to be maintained and presented to a high standard. There is on site parking for up to two cars, and a fenced dog proof garden to the rear . Although next to a busy road there was little apparent noise due to effective double glazing. If you are taking bicycles , the old railway track to Yarmouth is just opposite the property . I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation , and intend booking next year .

We had a good week in Rofford Lodge in Yarmouth. It was ideally situated for the town of Yarmouth and there were good eating places in the town e.g. Bugle Inn, Wheatsheaf and The Gossips Café. The property was within walking distance of Yarmouth either by the old railway line or along the sea front. The latter route provided a lovely view of the Solent, the ferries and any other boats. The property was very comfortable and located in a quite place.

Lovely house in nice quiet location plenty of room and well equipped but the heating system was a mystery we were either boiling hot or freezing cold with no hot water. Would be a good idea to have instructions on the heating system especially for out of season. But apart from that it's a lovely home.

Some care is needed exiting the drive as its hard to see to the right and is on a bus route .The beds are comfortable and the garden is secure for dogs .Its a ten minute walk to yarmouth for local shops and pubs .

Rofford Lodge is well located for visiting the west of the Island and is a short walk into Yarmouth which is handy for visiting the various pubs and restaurants there. Also handy for taking an excellent boat trip down the coast to the Needles. The weather was fantastic and the large garden was a sun trap and great for eating outdoors. The property was comfortable and provided a good base for the places we wished to visit.

Had a lovely week at Rofford Lodge. It was clean, tidy and had everything we needed, welcome pack was also much appreciated. The location was excellent with an easy walk into Yarmouth and other footpaths nearby. Nice to have en-suite bedrooms and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The only downside was that the settees were uncomfortable and a bit low and the flooring in lounge and bedrooms were uncomfortable to walk on without slippers although I can see why they had that because it must have been hardwearing. Be nice to have carpets. Overall that wouldn’t put me off from booking Rofford Lodge again.

We so enjoyed our stay. There was loads of room inside and the garden was brilliant for the children and the dog. There was plenty of room to play tennis and badminton and football in the garden. We walked into Yarmouth a couple of times, only takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The area is really nice, not commercialised and plenty of places to go to. The children particularly liked Fort Victoria and the beach there. Everybody would like to go back to Rofford Lodge as it was a very relaxing place to holiday in and the facilities were as good as at home.

This was our third Easter spent at Rofford Lodge and although the first half of the week was wet we always enjoyed the wonderful local walks. For the first time we encountered numerous appliance problems, however, they were not insurmountable and did not spoil our holiday and owners did their utmost to rectify the problems. We hope to visit again next year.

Excellent property for a family holiday , very clean and tidy . All 3 main bedrooms were en-suite.
Fully equipped. Large lawn to rear of property , for children to safely play.

Located within walking distance of Yarmouth town centre , and even closer to the beach.

2017 was our second stay at Rofford Lodge and we enjoyed the holiday just as much. The property was clean, comfortable, well stocked and perfectly situated close to footpaths and the lovely town of Yarmouth. The only downside was the lack of shower in the upper bedrooms.

We had a wonderful week at Rofford Lodge. It was ideally situated in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and not overlooked which is what we prefer.
The ground floor WC in the ensuite does not flush very well and the tumble dryer door does not stay shut when working (just a couple of issues that the owners may wish to address).
The "welcome basket" and the attention to detail (ie games and books provided) was really appreciated.
We will definitely be looking to book again for next year and will recommend to family and friends.
