Another excellent stay at the apartment. All good for a few days away. Only gripe would be the TV is very small and not enough plug sockets to charge our phones and ipads. Walking easy to Cowes and Gurnard. Woodvale pub is excellent for comfort food .

The holiday began, as usual, by contact with the agent, Island Holiday Homes. We have taken three or four holidays a year in Britain for the past ten years and as a result have dealt with countless holiday companies. Without doubt the ladies on the other end of the phone at Island Holiday Homes are the most friendly and professional people we have had the pleasure to deal with- nothing seems to be too much trouble for them, from contacting property owners to booking ferry tickets and more. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The travel arrangements were first class and upon arrival at Seafront Quay West Apartments everything was as expected- The car parking is clearly marked, the key safe is transparent and having navigated the lift we gained entry into a compact apartment which was clean and tidy. The view of the Solent with all its varied boats and ships captivates you throughout your stay. In todays current climate the cost does indeed represent value for money and the owners should be rightly proud of the whole apartment building. My wife simply adores everything about the experience and cannot get enough- please disregard this review because we require further availability on a regular basis.

We had a fantastic stay in the apartment in Cowes. The views on the Solent are great, it was a relaxing and exciting stay especially during Cowes Week. Cowes town is a 15-20 minutes walk with great restaurants and a lot of shops. The apartment is well equipped for two persons.

We have stayed in several of these Quay West Apartments, always pleased to return. But this year we had a real problem with the bed. The base was only nine and a half inches (24cm) from the floor, and instead of having a mattress, it simply had a block of six inch sponge foam covered in stockinette. It was not at all comfortable, and being so low to the ground we found it very difficult to get up from as there was nothing to hold on to. If you can imagine sitting on a box a foot from the ground and trying to stand up with nothing to hold on to, especially if you are an older person (we are both 78) you will understand the problem. In fact my wife ended up having to sleep on the sofa in the lounge as she found it too difficult to get up from the bed without assistance. If an ordinary double divan bed was installed, at a proper height, this holiday let would be perfect for us, but as it is at the moment, it is not suitable at all. What a shame !

My wife and I holiday two or three times per year and without hesitation I would make the claim that ISLAND HOLIDAY HOMES represents the most friendly and (more importantly) professional travel agency we have booked with. The whole process from original enquiry to the arrival details are essentially completed without any stress.
Their whole portfolio is good but we particular like the Seafront Quay West Apartment in Cowes. Immaculately presented upon arrival with all facilities one could ever wish for. The balcony views are without doubt some the best in Britain and the town provides endless things to do.
We have returned to this accommodation on three occasions already and have three more in the pipeline, thanks to this company and in particular the personal attention granted to us by Kerry, who also arranges affordable ferry crossings.
We look forward to holidaying in Cowes for the foreseeable future.

We had a lovely stay at this well equipped and comfortable apartment with fantastic views across the Solent.

All the bars and restaurants we visited in Cowes were just a10-15 minute walk away, so no need to drive out in the evenings.

We had a very fine holiday in the Seafront West Quay apartment. Lovely view from the terras to the beach. We didn’t cook in the apartment but it is possible. The kitchen is fully functional.
A restaurant is nearby and it is a 15 minute walk to the center of Cowes.

We had previously stayed at the apartment below which we liked. However this is now rented out long term I understand.
This apartment we thought offers very poor value for money. The balcony was very dirty and covered in cobwebs debris and finger marks. I had to clean it when I arrived. The apartment generally was very tired with worn cheap furniture, an ikea coffee table with a donkey leg, tired crockery/ glasses, a small ageing television with no streaming services and a rock hard foam mattress. Felt like a futon! We took our own bedding as I cannot sleep under polycotton sheets. At home we sleep on a proper pocket sprung mattress with cotton bedding. All week we didn’t sleep well. Apartment gets very hot and the noise from the hotel extractor fans means you can’t have the bedroom sliding door open.
The shower constantly makes a loud sucking noise to prevent flooding but we’ve never come across that before. We preferred the bath downstairs with a shower over. The wet room doesn’t work in such a small space.
The only saving grace is the beautiful view and location which is basically what you’re paying for. Sadly we wouldn’t return to this apartment. And after seeing the prices have gone up again to over £1000 a week in high season. Completely extortionate in our opinion. Such a shame as could be lovely with some money spent on it and fairer pricing.

I was sad to read your review of our holiday property. I'm aware that when all of the Covid restrictions were implemented we did remove a lot of the "nice touches" from the flat and haven't added them back in yet so it has probably looked a bit bare. We plan to buy new sitting-room furniture to make it more homely at the end of the season. We'll also be replacing the mattress although they're always very subjective, as what suits one person doesn't suit another. We have asked the hotel next door to attend to the extractor fan that caused the noise you mentioned. The sucking sound from the shower is the pump that clears the water away which is unfortunately the only means we have of removing the water from the shower. I've asked our caretaker to clean the balcony at changeover when necessary. We have always tried to offer a high-quality standard and our average review rating is 4.5/5. We also fitted a new lift recently to make the flats more accessible. However, the past couple of years have not been easy in the hospitality industry. Finally, regarding the cost, we have not increased our prices by more than 5% a year and in this inflationary time we don't consider this unreasonable particularly with the increased energy costs.

We had to chase the morning we were due to check in for access instructions. On arrival, the flat was freezing cold and had a very unpleasant musty smell.
We had to turn the hot water on, locate/turn on the shower isolater switch, we had to work out how to turn on the hot water tank and pump and we had to pull out/move a chest of drawers in the bedroom to find a switch for the heater which was turned off at the wall.
All this said, the parking was convenient and easy and the flat was in a stunning location with great sea views - it was a short walk into Cowes

We have to wholeheartedly hold our hands up and apologise for the failure to send the access information when the booking was place. These processes are generally automatic, however for last minute bookings there is a certain amount of information that has to be manually triggered. Clearly this was not in this case and we are very sorry for this inconvenience. The winter bookings are usually well monitored and we always endeavour to ensure heating is on and all our properties are welcoming and warm at this time of year. Again we apologise as it appears in this case the owner has omitted to switch back on the services that are generally switched off for large periods in the winter for energy saving and safety. This is something we have now internally amended and the owner and the whole team here at Island Holiday Homes will certainly use these slip ups as a way of improving our services moving forward. The Apartment was actually bigger than we imagined. It had everything that we needed for the week. The view was spectacular, especially watching the cruise liners etc. coming out at night. It had it's own parking space. It was in a block of privately owned apartments but no problems and very quiet. It was lovely sitting on the balcony too. The bed was large but very low and found the mattress cover and sheets would not stay on the bed. When stripping the beds at the end of our stay we did find marks and bobbles on the mattress. The wardrobe was massive with lots of drawer space but nowhere to hang dresses or skirts. The rail in the wardrobe wasn't high enough. Even my tops and my Hubby's polo shirts were creased at the bottom. It is next door to a hotel and if you had the Juliet balcony door open you did get noise from there, especially the staff arriving in the morning

Just home from our weeks stay in Quay West Apartments . I cannot fault this very well placed apartment , stunning views !! , the activity on the Solent is constant and fantastic to watch . This is an excellent apartment with an outstanding view from the large opening window. It has everything you will need for your stay. I have had to give two “ good” marks rather than excellent as two things were not up to scratch. First the cutlery was not really clean and second the mattress needs replacing, lumpy and stained. The mattress cover was odd as it made you sweat, strange. I guess with all that is going on things are difficult.
This would NOT detract us from coming again.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at quay apartments, first time was 2018 on floor below and loved the view and location as we have friends on the island too. Had problems with the keysafe took 25 mins to open it and same at holiday end. Flat comfort great in bedroom, bathroom had smallest size towels ever seen, and less so in living room with cheap basic furniture and very small tv. View made up for it even without the ocean liners we saw every night 2 years ago. Jury out on staying again as we might prefer a better quality flat nearer to town centre but overall yes we were happy enough for a week. We changed our ferry booking on way out and way back through Terry at Island homes and both times service was great. We had our overseas holiday cancelled twice this year and this trip made up for it. Lots to do on the island so overall was good & weather not so bad.

A small meat apartment with great views of the Solent. Kitchen facilities were tight and there was no dishwasher which would have been better to have than the washing machine. The apartment is for two people but I thought it was mean just to have two wine glasses and two beer glasses.

I rented this apartment for a long weekend for my mum for her birthday. She has always wanted to live by the sea and so we wanted to give that to her for the weekend at least. She loved it. The flat was clean and well decorated. It had all the essentials needed (although my mum did comment that there were an uneven number of forks, knives, plates etc). My mum had a lovely weekend and commented several times that she would like to stay there again. The views were amazing; the perfect location to absorb the surroundings and rest. Really lovey weekend had by all.

We have just had a wonderful week’s break at Seafront. It is in a good location and being on the second floor of the building, has spectacular views across the Solent, where you can watch the huge liners and other shipping coming in and out from Southampton. The flat had everything we needed and a problem with the internet was resolved the same day.

Try to get back every couple of years, can't wait to sit back,relax and enjoy the view, and in the evening a short stroll to see the setting sun.

good views of the solent excelient position very well laid out but expect some disruption on parade opposite from construction of facilities for Cowes week during the 2 weeks in july /august before the event

We could not have wished for more. First let me say Island Homes have been excellent in all aspects from day 1. Always helpful when I needed to know something about our holiday and always very pleasant pleasant in manner. Thank you. The apartment was everything we wanted. It was well equipped, plenty of room, nice big and comfortable bed, well fitted kitchen and comfortable sofa. The balcony was a bonus and we spent many a time watching the cruise ships to sailing boats. All in all we were extremely satisfied. Thank you again.

The apartment was set in a perfect location. The area is very quiet yet easily accessible to all amenities. Overall the apartment is very comfortable and well equipped and our only complaints are of a minor nature (e.g. the hanging space in the wardrobe was useless for clothes on hangers). We would have little hesitation returning to this property.

This apartment has a fabulous uninterrupted view of The Solent. You could stay indoors just looking out to sea, there’s always a variety of yachts, boats and shipping to watch. So don’t forget the binoculars for your ringside seat. The apartment is neat and tidy but to go with that splendid view, a few luxury touches would be appreciated and, quite possibly in view of its location, be expected.

We enjoyed our week in Seaview, especially watching the ocean-going cruise liners arriving and departing.
Cowes is only a short walk.
The flat was ideal. Compact, clean & tidy & quiet

From the time of booking to the moment we left, the service we received was impeccable.
The apartment itself is stunning, with the outstanding view being the main attraction.
Cowes is on the doorstep, and a whole island to explore, yet it was just lovely to open the balcony doors and jwatch the boats and walkers go by. Bliss.

We have stayed at Quay West on a number of occasions with our friends, we book a flat each (Nos 4 & 6)
We enjoy the location, if the weather is bad, there's always something to see in the Solent.
Just wish there was a lift to get the luggage up to the flats, particularly now that flat 7 has been added.

We were disappointed to see the condition of the balcony, the floor was dusty with cob webs that had clearly been there for some time, the glass was also in need of a clean. This rather spoilt the appearance of the place.
We also noticed that two chipped mugs we mentioned last year had not been replaced and were still in the cupboard.
There was no towel for drying up (although thankfully we had brought one with us).

Exceptionally clean property in an excellent location. Apartment modern, well equipped with very efficient shower. Plenty of storage space. Allocated car parking space to the rear of the property. Amazing views over the Solent either from the sofa in the living room or from the spacious balcony. Would definitely recommend the property.

Stunning position,excellent accommodation, clean tidy and to our mind we’ll equipped. Our only complaint which was really not resolved despite phone calls, and a maintenance visit, was a very poor shower facility in the bathroom. The water from the shower would not drain away and flooded the bathroom and into hall so we only used it the once and it spoilt the holiday. We had not had the problem in the previous 5 years. I would still recommend the flat to others providing the shower problem is resolved. My only other gripe is having to pay £150 up front security deposit which to my mind is an insult especially due to the fact we had always left the apartment spotlessly clean in previous 5 years.

I'm really sorry about the blockage that occurred in the shower waste while you were staying there. I believe our maintenance man sorted the issue quickly and I was quite shocked to read that you only used the shower once while you were there. The Letting Company will no longer be holding deposits and in future will only request a pre-authorised card when booking, similar to when you check into a hotel. Finally a very big thank you for leaving the place exceptionally clean and tidy. We hope to see you again."
