Vine Cottage is a stylish 3-bedroom, pet-friendly stone cottage on the Isle of Wight. Just a short walk from beaches, coastal paths, and village shops, it blends charming character with modern interiors—perfect for a relaxing island escape with family, friends, and furry companions.

We had a lovely stay at The Vine Cottage. The location is great and the rooms and décor are very well done — stylish, comfortable, and clearly thought through.

However, there were a few issues worth mentioning for future guests. There is no on-site parking,

The main issue was the heating. Unfortunately, the rooms didn’t warm up properly, particularly the back room, which was extremely cold. It reached the point where we had to buy a portable heater just to make the space usable. The only way to get any warmth was to have the heating set to 30°C all day, which still didn’t fully resolve the issue.
and although we tried calling the contact number for guidance, we weren’t able to get through.
We also found the kitchen utensils to be limited, which made cooking a little difficult and could definitely be improved. Especially for a full family A small welcome basket ( biscuits / additional supply’s ) would have been a really nice touch and would elevate the overall experience.
There was tea and coffee no sugar or milk no condiments salt and pepper basically empty
The fridge had mould in and we had to clean and the freezer was not switched on and full of water which we had to clean
Also the vent in the bathroom did not seem to work and we had to open the window when we showered
The leaves on the patio had blocked all the drains and caused the water to overflow this obviously was due to not being cleared up

Overall, a beautifully decorated cottage in a good location, but improvements to heating, communication, and kitchen equipment would make a big difference.
