Fabulous location and excellent quality furnishings. Spotlessly clean with everything you could want or need! We just loved being surrounded by water and the beautiful mountain views! We were so handy for Helensburgh which has a wonderful selection of Restaurants and wonderful things to do, but equally great to leave the car behind occasionally and take the train to Glasgow or Edinburgh or even further afield if you have the time. (Oban was wonderful and we just sat back and enjoyed the ride and the views). The owner has gone over and above the call of duty with every little extra that co...more
We were so pleased to find this cottage for a weekend in Luss. A perfect location in this beautiful village. The cottage worked very well for us as three adults. Plenty of kitchen equipment and all the food essentials including milk in the fridge.
This is the third time we have been to Chapelhill Lodge as a family (party of 8) and its perfect for us as there is so much space and also the Boathouse is great for spending time. First time we had our little one with us and there was very kindly a gift for her on arrival which was a lovely touch. Can't wait to go back again next year!
This is my second visit to ‘Hollybank House’ within the last 12 months - firstly as a birthday celebration with friends, secondly with visiting family from Australia. The scenery from every room in the house is majestically stunning! Snow capped mountains, blue skies and crisp air - we were blessed with great weather on both Winter visits. The accommodation is first class: quality finishes and art works; practical equipment to cater for 10; various spacious public rooms. It would be difficult to surpass the beauty of the setting and the comfort and quality of the property. A very special m...more
We stayed recently at Hollybank Lodge and had a wonderful time. The Lodge is beautiful and, wow, what a view of Loch Lomond. Everything was catered for and Liz was so helpful and happy to help when contacted. We will definitely be back!
We were lucky to find this lodge still available at quite short notice and I’m glad we did. Its location directly on the side of Loch Lomond on its southern edge is nothing short of incredible, offering uninterrupted views of the Loch and its surrounding hills. The booking process, check in and access were seamless and it was a lovely surprise after a five hour drive to find the fridge stocked with basic requirements and a chilled bottle of white wine!! The Lodge itself has a traditional appearance but the inside is extremely modern. A fully fitted kitchen and equipped laundry room gave a rea...more
We had a small break and visited family nearby. This was a lovely setting and comfortable and cosy apartment. Would definitely recommend it. We loved it for the walk in shower for our elderly parents and the fact there were no stairs.
Sehr schönes älteres Anwesen. Prima Küche, bequeme Betten. Aussicht hatten wir in den Innenbereich mit schönem grünen Blick. Uns hat es gefallen.
The cottage is lovely and the surrounding is beautiful. The owners have ensured that everything you might need is provided for your stay. The stay was to celebrate my 60th birthday and my family were supported to arrive early so that they could set up a surprise for me arriving which was lovely. We did not use the sauna but the hot tub was great. If I could make one recommendation it would be for the roof of the pergola above the hot tub to be able to close as it was raining when we were there and although you are wet in the hot tub it was cold rain so did not use it as much as we would ha...more
Again a great couple of days away in a fab apartment at Auchenheglish Lodges. Great location can walk to Lomond Shores to the shops and into Balloch for some nice restaurants. Liz and Wendy are lovely so helpful. Flat itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.
We had a wonderful time, the views along the Loch as well being so close to many walking trails was perfect. Everyone was so kind, and responsive to our questions. We hope to back again one day.
