We could not have chosen a more perfect place. We had a lovely welcome and it was wonderful to walk into the house. The location of the property was perfect. The decor was very pleasing and the view of the loch was perfect. Our whole party was very impressed. Everything had been thought of and the grocery package was much more than adequate. The games room provided great fun and entertainment. A small observation, kitchen more tea towels and a hand towel. All in all a marvellous place and a wonderful week end. Thank you. Phil from Biggar
There really wasnt anything we needed during our stay at Hollybank Lodge (except provisions) It's a perfect place to escape from the daily grind. I could have sat for hours looking out of the window. We even had our own family of blue tits which we fed. If you want to escape and recharge your soul batteries, this is the place to do it. We will return. Highly recommended. 5* plus.
It is our second time at Holly Bank and once again it was amazing. The views from the deck, and from every room, were unbelievable. Inside it was all 5 star. The house is massive, fully equipped and each bedroom has its own large smart TV. There are 4 en-suite bathrooms as well as a down stairs bathroom. Plenty of space for 10! If you fancy a bike ride or run there is a path that borders the Loch Lomond. The house is spacious and has everything you need. We had the perfect guest pack which included the basics so we could have a cuppa when we arrived. The Nespresso machine was used daily. ...more
The lodge was wonderful. Spacious and very clean, it was a perfect home away from home! It was amazing to wake up and not only see the Loch but to hear the water lapping against the edge It was really private too, gated walk to the lodges. Easy to walk to restaurant and would recommend duck bay restaurant for food. No complaints at all
Thoroughly enjoyable stay; lodge has everything you need (including oil, butter, dishwasher tablets, tea, sugar, baby travel cot, SkyTV etc) and is situated in a wonderful, easily-accessible location; we would highly recommend and staff / customer service very helpful.
We had a fabulous 3 night short stay at 3 Lomond Castle. The accommodation and all the facilities provided were very fitting to its reputation and 5 star rating. We enjoyed lovely walks around Loch Lomond on the one glorious sunny day we had! Even on the days when the weather was not the best, the beautiful scenery around the accommodation is breathtaking! Well done to the owners for maintaining such excellent quality and comfort which made our short holiday a really memorable one!!
Beautiful house and location, lots of space and everything provided that we could require even as a group of 8. Would highly recommend and happily stay again!
Absolutely fantastic stay as part of a group of 6. The rooms are large with each having their own bathroom. The kitchen and dining area is well equipped and extremely comfortable and spacious. Everything was spotless and extremely well presented. The hot tub was an additional bonus - great to relax in! Thank you so much for the lovely stay! All communication was dealt with quickly and professionally and all staff that I spoke to were extremely friendly. I would highly recommend and would love to stay here again. Fabulous!
We had a good stay here, but there was a few issues that made it less than spectacular. We were unaware of the number of stairs to the unit and as we are in our 70s with some mobility issues it was a bit of a challenge. The interior was very nice except there were fairly serious glass or cup rings on the coffee table hidden by drink coasters. There was also some sticky residue on the island countertop, when we arrived, but easily cleaned up with a damp sponge. One other issue was that the unit was stuffy and very warm, probably due to the unusually warm weather. We opened the windows whic...more
There was little wrong with the lodge, everything clean & as it should be although the bed & pillows were not very comfortable. The location is fairly remote & not an easy walk to Balloch. The instructions on finding the lodge left something to be desired as they referred to local names of roundabouts which are not signed as such. Also the information given has not been updated & still says that you walk through the grounds of Cameron House which apparently has been closed since 2017.
This apartment is in an adjacent building and not directly in the castle. The rooms were comfortably decorated and clean. Beds were not the most comfortable, but we still slept well. It was nice having smart TVs in the room. The castle has a nice view of Loch Lomond. We did not have a car during our stay and found the phone in our room inoperable. This meant that we had issues getting taxis in and out of the property. I would not recommend this place if you do not have access to transportation. The room had a slight smell, but could just be that the whole place has some mustiness. We ...more
Stunning location with gorgeous views. Wee Callanish was the perfect getaway with everything we needed! Would stay again!
Great place to stay on a great location. The house has everything you need and is very spacious for 10 people, with great views looking over the loch. We loved our stay thank you.
Had a wonderful time staying at the Carriage Lodge l, house was perfect for a number of couples staying together as each couple had privacy in different areas of the house. Many thanks Liz for the excellent service
