Fabulous experience all round. Excellent location for exploring North Devon. The cottage was well presented, spotlessly clean, well decorated and equipped. The grounds were beautifully maintained and all staff onsite were courteous and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation and we look forward to returning one day soon.
This is our second time staying in Pipistrelle and we love it. The location is perfect for beaches and attractions. It rained for the duration but this didn't stop us from having fun. It's quiet and very private. We had a lovely stay and will be back. Thank you - until next time!!!! :-)
We really enjoyed our stay at Coulscott House. The property was just as pictured and of a very high standard. The beds were comfortable , the longe cosy and the kitchen well equipped. For us, its mainly about how entertained our child is, and therefore how much rest we get. And this site was perfect for that. Of course you rely on more children staying in the other properties, but the property itself had great stuff for the kids. With four sons, wives/partners and 9 grandchildren my wife and I set off on a journey of looking for a place to enjoy as a family-scrolling the net was not allowing us all we were looking to achieve-The youngest was 4 months, the oldest 10 years old and then the adults who would also need to be kept entertained! Then a lightbulb moment, with local knowledge we looked up The Lost Manor-sleeping 20 with pool, snooker rm, games rm, yoga rm which doubled up as a cinema, (my son brought his big projector.) We loved the accommodation- quite hard to find space for 16 heads with adequate bedrooms and the capacity for the adults to sit together and dine in comfort. Location stunning - very hilly but we are all pretty fit. We were lucky with the weather and dined outside every evening with those stunning views. Facilities are amazing and we all enjoyed the pool, hot tub, games room and football pitch to the full. Would benefit from more fridge space for those, like us, who want to dine on site for the whole holiday. Staff on site were brilliant - super friendly and helpful.
We had an amazing holiday thanks to Alice and her team, it was fantastic, she was incredibly helpful and accommodating when it came to our specific needs during the week. The 3 properties that we rented, Bantam, Aylesbury and Peacock were ideally situated in a private, safe courtyard for our group of 3 families. The private hot tub in Ayelsbury was an absolute boom and access to the pool was so easy from where we were all situated, it felt like we had it to ourselves. We had a wonderful time at Peacock cottage. It was a nice, cosy and unique place were we had a lot of fun. The kids loved the playground and all the toys. We were happy to lend some beach-things, so our day at the beach was much more comfortable. The only thing we Dutch missed was a coffee machine, with cups or pad. The silver coffee-thing wasn’t our friend
The Old Barn exeeded expectations and was the perfect base for a family holiday. We made use of the onsite facilities and private hot tub. The rear decking area has stunning views and was perfect for stargazing (and satellite spotting) while bats flew above us. The dedicated EV charger was a bonus. On our last day we saw a roe deer scrumping apples, something the staff have never seen so keep a look out!
Lovely site and we had a super week.We travel a lot and although the cottage was very nice we were expecting perhaps a higher standard when described as luxury.A few little niggles which we didn't worry about but Alice would have dealt with we are sure very promptly. Parking is very limited.There are electric car chargers which is great however we had an issue accessing these as non electric vehicles blocked access.There were only two electric cars on site and we think the site was not full.Possibly overkill but large signs indicating for electric vehicles chargers would be sensible but I acc...more
We were looking for somewhere special for a family reunion. Great venue for everyone from grandparents to kids, whether it’s seeing the animals, splashing in the pool or winding down with a film in the snug. The hot tub was also a high point with the beautiful views at sunset. The place was also a great jumping off point for exploring the local area. The hosts were helpful and welcoming, and easy to contact if needed. Highly recommended for a special holiday and making great memories.
