Fabulous experience all round. Excellent location for exploring North Devon. The cottage was well presented, spotlessly clean, well decorated and equipped. The grounds were beautifully maintained and all staff onsite were courteous and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation and we look forward to returning one day soon.
We had a fabulous stay at Pipistrelle barn it was everything you need for a family and more! We did arrive in a heatwave and would have enjoyed some air conditioning especially in the bedrooms, we did have enough fans in the rooms but I think this would be worth investing in with the lovely summers we may continue having. The on site facilities were all brilliant and the variety for the children meant they were never stuck for things to do! Coulscott is a great stay with young children. Lovely pool, play areas, animals and friendly staff. Cottages tastefully decorated and comfortable with everything you need. Would highly recommend
Bantam Cottage is very pretty and charming - brilliant 'overflow' solution for our large group in the Georgian house as just next door but private and cosy !
We had a wonderful time at Peacock cottage. It was a nice, cosy and unique place were we had a lot of fun. The kids loved the playground and all the toys. We were happy to lend some beach-things, so our day at the beach was much more comfortable. The only thing we Dutch missed was a coffee machine, with cups or pad. The silver coffee-thing wasn’t our friend
We had a family multi generation group staying in the Georgian house , the attached house and Bantam Cottage 3-10 July The setting is glorious - must be the jacuzzi with the best views ever ! The house is beautifully equipped with all ages catered for - endless games of table tennis going on and the 2yr old obsessed by the dolls' house . The pool is great , the animals charming and much petted ! I can't really praise Coulscott more ! It was perfect
We had a great holiday in the Old Barn with our whole family. The accomodation is great. Very clean and tidy with all the things you need in the house and kitchen. Just like home.Fantastic views from the patio and the hot tub was fun. Had a couple of small queries when we were there which were dealt with straight away. Pool and play area were perfect. Altogether a lovely holiday
The house, garden and facilities were absolutely perfect for my large family across three generations and everyone had a marvellous time. A bonus was the Chulmleigh Old Fair which was superb entertainment for all. With the dry weather we could not use the the croquet game but everything else worked well and we were looked after throughout.
Lovely site and we had a super week.We travel a lot and although the cottage was very nice we were expecting perhaps a higher standard when described as luxury.A few little niggles which we didn't worry about but Alice would have dealt with we are sure very promptly. Parking is very limited.There are electric car chargers which is great however we had an issue accessing these as non electric vehicles blocked access.There were only two electric cars on site and we think the site was not full.Possibly overkill but large signs indicating for electric vehicles chargers would be sensible but I acc...more
We were looking for somewhere special for a family reunion. Great venue for everyone from grandparents to kids, whether it’s seeing the animals, splashing in the pool or winding down with a film in the snug. The hot tub was also a high point with the beautiful views at sunset. The place was also a great jumping off point for exploring the local area. The hosts were helpful and welcoming, and easy to contact if needed. Highly recommended for a special holiday and making great memories.
