This lovely two story stone cottage in Renvyle has a fantastic view overlooking the Atlantic and has beautiful open surroundings for children and barbecuing. There is plenty of parking space and the house is in a stunning location perfect for family holidays, groups or couples. The cottage is 1 km from nearest village which has pubs, shop and a hotel for dining out. Close by is a local service station and a post office. The sea is also very close with a small beach at the bottom of the field down from the cottage.

Our stay at Renvyle 196 Tooreena, was perfect. The location was exactly what we wanted. Quiet,a magical view and walking distance to the beach. The weather was perfect! John, the owner, was helpful in showing us how everything worked. The beach, the sunsets and the countless rainbows marked our stay as magical. Booking was seamless. Our whole experience was a great one to help make our dream come true. A month in Ireland-we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting as our base location.

The house is very calm and situated near a lot of highlights such as Kylemore Abbey, not far from Galway or Westport.
Excellent views all around ...
We will come back !

The house is very spacious in a beautiful location with stunning views. Tully Cross is only 20 minutes walk away where is there is Paddy Coynes pub serving excellent food and very good value. There are a number of beautiful beaches a short drive away.
On the Connemara Coastal Cottages website it states that there is a stony beach at the end of the field. This is misleading as their is no access to this beach. This was confirmed by the owner.
Overall the house was comfortable and clean. However, as we fed back to the owner - there could be more basic kitchen equipment - e.g. more bowls (only 4), kitchen scissors, t-towels. Also there are out of date products in the kitchen cupboards. An outside table would be good. I understand though it is stated on the website -that there is no BBQ.
One bed room had a window with no blind. The owner was aware of this and was endeavoring to rectify it. In the end we managed by covering the window with cardboard.
The plumbing could be improved - maybe not easy - flushing of toilets was not good.

We had a great winter stay in John’s house. The house was perfect for us and our 3 small boys. We will be back again. Views out to sea are special. Thanks again to John.

We recently spent several days in this property. The house has everything you might need for a comfortable visit. The view from the living area is amazing. A beautiful green pasture that runs down to the sea with two Connemara horses. The road up to the property is a bit narrow and you might fight a few potholes, but the home snd view are certainly worth it!!

House was nice ish but couldn't drink the water even boiled water so not great for kids . Kitchen had no bowls also not great for kids . Had to take all the rocks out of the windows because my 2 year old though it was a good idea to throw them around the house . travel cot arrived with bailing twine wrapped around it which wasn't a problem but it was also broken . Garden looks like it was never cut and drive way was all grown over scratch our car every time we tried to leave has some issue getting up the drive on the wet days because of all the leaves . velux windows had no blinds so sleeping was a problem.

Enjoyed the house a lot, unparalleled views, very comfortable. On a practical level, would benefit from cereal bowls; serving bowls; kitchen tea towels; more cooking utensils; a tray or two; fridge door shelves; blind for bedroom Velux; garden table.

We had the pleasure of spending a week here and we’re delighted! The views are
unbeatable and we enjoyed a couple of spectacular sunsets from the back terrace.
It is ideally located for exploring the area and there are beautiful beaches located nearby.
John is an informative and helpful host.

196 Tooreena was the perfect spot for our week in Renvyle. The sea views were gorgeous under any skies and our children loved feeding apples and carrots to the mare and her foal. John made us feel very welcome with his walk thru upon arrival. We replaced the toaster, which wasn’t working on our arrival and he comped us our fuel charge in exchange. The house was lovely and comfortable for our family of four and we will certainly be back again! Thanks a million, John!

The property was potentially great with beautiful views and good rooms. There were a few issues such as a velux blind missing which made sleeping in that room difficult as it was so light.
The house would benefit from a few cosy touches - the wooden floorboards throughout were noisy and echoey.
One loo didn't flush properly.
Overall we had a good stay.

We felt that the garden had been neglected for years with no lawn maintained or overhanging shrubs on driveway cutback as scraping off vehicles as driving through otherwise all excellent and had a great stay

The directions to the cottage were fine until we looked for "the graveyard on your left". This cannot be seen driving down the Lettergesh road. We only found it after returning towards Tully Cross after missing the turn altogether. A clearer instruction would be 'After 1.2km, you see the second turning on the left, immediately next to the drive to 'Atlantic Star'. Turn into this narrow lane. After 100m, you will see a graveyard on your right. The cottage is the first dwelling on your right, below a light brown stone wall."
We enjoyed our week and would happily go there again.

This property is of the highest standard. The view and location are stunning. We were comfortable and delighted with the host, the booking agent and the house itself. A surprisingly steep driveway turned out to be perfectly manageable and not a bother. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful week in the cottage. The cottage is well presented with all you need to make it like home from home. The locals are most friendly and helpful. It's a short drive to the super market in either Tully village or Letterfract Ideally situated for getting to popular tourist attractions; Connemara National Park , Kylemore Abbey ,Clifden and the beautiful Sky Road. There is a Sandy beach nearby in Renvyle. The beach at the bottom of the garden not easily accessed! There is a choice of eating out places in Tullycross and a reliable taxi service. And of course wonderful views from the cottage. We had all we needed ,even excellent weather.

Modern comfortable cottage in a superb location. Exceeded our expectations by far. Not weather dependent _ it would be entertaining in winter time to watch the storms role in across the Atlantic. Also fascinated by the wonderfully clear starry skies at night. Altogether a great place to stay.
