We had a wonderful week in Jane's immaculate and beautiful cottage in Mannin, Connemara. The cottage was spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the equipment was in perfect condition (we loved the Nick Moss pottery!) The bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable indeed! Thank you to Jane for a very warm welcome and we would highly recommend this stunning cottage to friends and family in our favourite part of the world!
Very comfortable house in a nice place however we think that the dining room table is suitable for 6, we were 7 , there were 6 chairs and we were tight around the table.
Beautiful property . Very lovely rooms. Centrally located on bridge street . Beside so many fab restaurants pubs shops . Welcome pack was a lovely touch .butter bread and milk. Tea coffee nespresso pods all a plus.
Stayed for a week. Couldn't have asked for more. House was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely quiet location overlooking Omey Beach which is only a 5 minute walk. 15 minute drive to Clifden. Jackie and Paul were very friendly and accommodating, would highly recommend this property!
House is very well laid out and had plenty of room for our group of small kids teens and adults.perfect location small walk down to clear waters of omey strand.
Very happy to recommend Honeysuckle Cottage. This holiday house is of very high standard, well presented and thoughtfully kitted out for a comfortable stay. Suited us perfectly as couple with 2 adult children. Ideal location, with terrific sea and mountain views, in beautiful north Connemara. Pier and beach few minutes walk away, very well stocked grocery stop around corner, just 15 mins walk to 2 pubs serving good food. Major historic, cultural and naturally beautiful sites to visit in surrounding areas will involve drive through stunning scenery. We have rebooked for next year.
We stayed in Gatehouse by the Greenway in June and, despite the not brilliant weather, had a fantastic time. This was our second time staying in this house and it did not disappoint. The accommodation is perfect - bedrooms are great size, beds are comfortable, enough storage and the kitchen and living room are great. The addition of a coffee machine since last year was welcomed by the coffee drinkers among us! The location is just spot on - a lovely easy cycle to Achill Sound and a bit further to Mulranney but the whole Greenway on the doorstep makes it so special. The views are amazing - even...more
beautiful setting, highly efficient house, turf fires, clean as a pin garden designed to protect if windy, suntrap when sunny
What a superb place for a large family gathering! Very comfortable and well equipped; loads of communal space; and very good sized en suite rooms to allow private time as well. Great views and access to superb beaches (superb even in February!) and great seafood. Very close to a good shop, pub and playground. Bernie is a very helpful and accessible owner.
Amazing location stunning house we all loved the garden area to sit out enjoying nature at its best.
Beautiful area, lovely cottage, everything very clean and comfortable. Fantastic shower in bathroom. In a great position close to the Inishboffin ferry and easy to get to other areas such Connemara National Park, and Westport in Co.Mayo. Would definitely stay again but for longer .
Amazing property with amazing views - nice and remote and the owners are lovely. The local water is brown so takes a little getting used to but its natural and very soft (i.e. not hard). Its position allows it to have amazing views which also exposes it to the weather however the garden is beautifully kept and the inside is very comfortable.
We (a couple) stayed a week in Oyster House during August and were very comfortable. My first impression when we entered was of a light, spacious accommodation that was well insulated and cosy. The views at the front are lovely. We had all we needed at the cottage to self cater very happily. The property would however benefit from a few easy to do additions such as a coat rack near the door for hanging wet items and perhaps a shoe rack, and a more substantial door mat. On first arrival I also had to clean dirt off nearly all light switches as they were greasy and smeared and missed by the oth...more
We loved our stay in the cottage, it’s incredibly warm and comfortable (needed as the weather was not great!). The kitchen is very well equipped for a holiday cottage, views are beautiful and the host was very helpful and responsive. We hope to come back!
Love Mulranny and this house was situated very close to village. Very clean, very comfortable, fantastic views and Anne was the best meeter and greeter making us very welcome. Loved our stay. One small inconvenience was that TV only shows irish stations.
Very Nice place, good relationships with owner and Connemara Coastal Cottage. Thanks and thanks Siobhan
We had three very nice days in this apartment and were warmly welcomed with fresh scones. Although it rained constantly, we really enjoyed our stay and made ourselves comfortable in the house. Very well equipped and clean and a beautiful view of Connemara. Thank you very much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable & pleasant & location delightful! Thank you!
Great location for accessing Connemara for our family of 6. So many lovely picturesque sandy beaches within half hr driving radius without major crowds. Lots of hillwalking/trekking options. Inish Boffin worth a daytrip. Our crew voted Keoghs in Ballyconneely and Veldons in Letterfrack as the best places for eating out. House lovely - comfy, quaint, well done up, all amenities, good wifi, well maintained grounds. Spotless on arrival. Would have no hesitation in booking again.
Excellent location and a great novelty for a family to stay in a "Night Club" over night. We will be back!
Great place to stay with plenty of space for family, great kitchen and living space, and wonderful sea views. Right next to Stauntons pub, very close to beaches and amenities. We loved being in Teach Ban and hope to return again soon.
Beatrice was very responsive to any questions I had. The house was very suitable for our needs. Very close to Roonagh pier and beaches
Patsy's cottage is the best place we stayed at during our Summer 24' Irish road trip. A charming thatched wood cottage, beautifully decorated and cleverly arranged, so that we didn't miss anything and there was sufficient space for the 4 of us. The outdoor part brings your stay to the next level, with sauna, jacuzzi, firepit, fresh eggs from the hens everyday, Connemara ponies across the road, fresh potatoes to dig out, flowers everywhere... And the owner Gerry is super available and friendly, always ready to help us feel better : it shows that he's (understandably) proud of the house he built...more
We had an amazing time at the Hill view house. The location is perfect, the house is much nicer than the pictures make it seem, very large and spacious. The caretaker is very nice and helpful. Just a couple of remarks: a few things were broken for our stay: like the baby gate, the hood above the stove didn't work and there was a problem with the hot water (that was fixed while we were there). Apart from those little maintenance issues our stay was great. Would definitely recommend for a large family/group.
Our stay at kings apartment was perfect. Our host Marie was very welcoming, her scones were the best. The place is modern and cosy, very clean, the beds are comfortable. Close to the beach. It’s a perfect place to stay when visiting Connemara. Thank you again.
We were delighted to find the cottage was Tardis-like in being so well designed and spacious inside. It is really good value, and walking distance to a great pub. The Renvyle peninsula is just beautiful with glorious beaches looking out to mountains, islands and surf. Fab stay.
This was our place to land for an entire month and it had all of the amenities we required. Whatever problems arose were quickly and conveniently dealt with by the owner and we were able to enjoy a comfortable vacation. It was especially nice to find that there was an elevator available if needed to get to the second floor and the apartment itself was all on one level. We had a fantastic trip because we had a great place to come home to.
We recently spent a fortnight in the cottage with our dog and this is an honest reflection with pluses and minuses. Plus: Good communication, easy access and clean property with sympathetic restoration. Lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated! Lots of cleaning products and good appliances. There was an area for us to take the dog. Short walk to beach and Spiddal. Minus: Dark inside and cold in the evenings (we had difficulty in maintaining the turf fire!) so we resorted to the electric radiators provided. The cutlery, crockery and furnishings had seen better days and we felt t...more
Thoroughly enjoyed the week. Cottage and accommodation were excellent, the weather was absolutely awful! We came with no expectations of sunbathing or swimming! Loved Ireland and will definitely come back, especially if we are offered a good deal.
Absolutely gorgeous property, comfortable and had every thing we could need. The views are beautiful.
we had a lovely stay in Renvyle Cottage. It was very comfortable, warm and welcoming. The location suited us well as we were exploring by car everyday, and then happy to return to the cottage emin the evenings
We enjoyed our stay at this house. Spotless and well laid out. Close to lovely beaches and Louisburg village.
This cottage was exactly what we needed for close access to Doogta village with the bonus of being on the spectactular ancient walking path to Clonbur. It is more of a domestic home than a purpose built holoday cottage but well equipped for a family of 3 or 4 with good safe parking and a fascinating traditional garden. We were aware that is only has 1 toilet but it suited our needs and we enjoyed some very happy gatherings in the well equipped kitchen. However I would rate it as 7/10, since its let down by its electric shower but would certainly return again since its a joy to enjoy.
A beautiful setting although the weather is inevitably variable but didn’t stop us getting to the beach each day for digging and some swimming. The bedrooms work well for families with children and some for adult couples. The kitchen is small but well equipped with 2 dishwashers and the utility has washing machine and tumbler dryer - vital. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. Very relaxed
Beautiful, comfortable cottage in a very pretty location. 13 minute drive to sandy beaches, but the lake directly in front of the house is suitable for fishing. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is good. Water pressure can be low and downstairs the shower can be scalding hot so DO be careful with that. Also, strangely, there was no lock on the bathroom upstairs, but these are small issues that could be easily fixed. Decor of the house and garden are lovely.
The house is very calm and situated near a lot of highlights such as Kylemore Abbey, not far from Galway or Westport. Excellent views all around ... We will come back !
We stayed for a week in Cottage 412 Bunowen and found it to be well appointed, with all our needs met for a lovely week in Connemara. The large cottage was ideally suited to our extended family The house, which is in very good condition was clean and comfortable with plenty of living and sleeping space. Located near the end of a long cul de sac down by the sea meant that it was quiet with little passing traffic. We really enjoyed our stay.
Loved our stay at Sean's Cottage, this cosy cottage has everything from its authentic feel to the amazing views and outside seating We had a wonderful week and will be back It's also a quick drive to Roundstone with lovely food to be had The island loop walk is a must too
This is an amazing property in a stunning location. Brian, the owner, is a great host and my granddaughter loved feeding the chickens and fish. Fresh eggs every morning was a bonus as was the welcome pack. The surrounding area is stunning, great beaches and very good restaurants (try the Ardagh Hotel). Clifden is a lovely little town, nice cafes, a very good supermarket and many individual shops.
Had a lovely stay at the house. Very close to everything. If walking from the town it's on a steep hill.. so just be warned. Near beautiful restaurants, coffee houses, shops. Supervalu is less than 5 mins walk away. Would highly recommend
Tigh Bhrendain is located amidst outstanding scenery and only a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches in Connemara. Although nestling in among rock and shrubbery the cottage still has a distant sea view. It was clean and comfortable and Roseanne, the housekeeper, was very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here twice and am already planning my return to this little oasis of peace and tranquility.
We had a very pleasant stay. Nice walks in Derryclare Nature Reserve and in the neighbourhood of Ballinahinsh Castle
Lovely house very comfortable and a great location. There were two issues we thought could be improved on: 1. Stoppers in the sinks in the bathrooms and the kitchen didn’t work. 2. Toilets took an age to refill after flushing.
Lovely house in a quiet beautiful location ..............................................................................................................................................................................................................
It's a very pleasant place to stay. This cottage is magical to enjoy as a couple or with friends. It's so pleasant and peaceful, we were delighted. All the services were appreciated. The only thing to say is that a locker for keys would be simpler for arrival at any time.
We had a great stay in this house. Very spacious, clean and stocked with good quality amenities. Location is superb right across from Mannin Beach. Lovely part of the world! No issues and easy to deal with owner/agent. Would highly recommend.
We loved our week in this beautiful, remote cottage with a view of the water. Situated in a gorgeous spot, it was easy to visit many of Connemara villages and sites. It has a well equipped kitchen and beds are comfortable. Very memorable and charming house.
Gorgeous location beautiful surrounding area, nice people. Tv poor no internet and if sun had shone more and rain hadn't come wouldn't have needed to watch t. But it would have been nice to have more choice but vett happy generally.
We liked the stay and the house very much. Garden furniture was unfortunately not available. With garden furniture and barbecue the whole would have been unsurpassable. Very quiet place, well suited for relaxation and reflection. Very beautiful landscape We can recommend the house.
As timeshare owners we appreciate the upgrade work that has taken place both within the property and to the approach avenue/roadway - no more pot holes is a great plus.. The cushions and dining chair fabric seats urgently need to be re-upholstered as they are frayed and shabby and let the dining area down, so hopefully this is on the list for the coming winter maintenance. We always bring rinse aid with us for the dishwasher and this is always, in our experience, in need of replenishing the machine also indicated that it needed salt so I hope someone keeps this under review. General cleanlines...more
Comfortable house convenient to hotel and short walk to the beach. Beautiful location with view of the lake.
On arrival at the property we discovered the agent was not expecting us so the house key was not there and after several phone calls we eventually got in when the house keeper arrived. The house had not been cleaned and no beds made up. The fridge was dirty and no loo paper or kitchen paper etc supplied. The agent did give us a refund in fairness but 1st impressions are so important. Also we had no TV or microwave available
Par contre vue mer assez éloignée et ca...more
A very spacious house, a few things need upgrading but would recommend it for a holiday in Achill. Location is a little remote but the stunning views make up for this.
I was cold at night due to a summer duvet being on the bed and no extra blankets available. Also mattress was bad quality so ended up with a bad crick in my neck and back. Because of this I would most likely not recommend it to others.
Tilegrout in de upstairs shower were dirty and around the door it was black and the ceiling moldy. the seat in the downstairs bathroom was loose and the windows were dirty. There were drops of paint all over the floors. In the pictures on the website it looks perfect but that is disappointing. Your organization should check the houses more. The beds were clean and perfect, everything was there in the kitchen what you need and all crystal clear clean. The housekeeper Bruce Lennie is a very nice person
Although the house was comfortable enough, the shower barely dribbled and there wasn’t enough hot water for 2 baths so I’ve no idea how 6 would manage. The view of the sea is completely blocked by trees and so you just see a field. Very poor value I thought for an expensive house rental.
