The Cottage is located in Cor Na Mona, a real hidden Gem of Mayo! The Eastern Edge of the area comes down to Lough Corrib while the Western Edge borders the scenic upland area of An Mam, The Maam Vallet and The Maumturk Mountains. It is a popular site among trout and salmon anglers.

This cottage was exactly what we needed for close access to Doogta village with the bonus of being on the spectactular ancient walking path to Clonbur. It is more of a domestic home than a purpose built holoday cottage but well equipped for a family of 3 or 4 with good safe parking and a fascinating traditional garden. We were aware that is only has 1 toilet but it suited our needs and we enjoyed some very happy gatherings in the well equipped kitchen.However I would rate it as 7/10, since its let down by its electric shower but would certainly return again since its a joy to enjoy.

Cottage bien équipé, très bien situé, environnement superbe . Accueil très sympathique.
Un peu éloigné des lieux très touristiques, pour nous c'est un avantage...

Perfect for family getaway to Conemarra. House is on quiet location, all major atractions are within 1 hour drive.
Bathroom is new, only the toilet seat is broken, I hope they fix that soon.
Rooms are ok with enough space, kitchen has all you need if you want to cook.
Backyard garden is very big.

This little cottage served our needs very well. Such a beautiful spot, we were blown away by its location. Lacking in a few kitchen necessities, like scissors, any decent bug knives and a cheese grater and unfortunately the garden was unusable due to some gardening work that had been started but not finished but overall a wonderful stay.
