This was our second visit to Sundew, this time with our 4 month old grandson. We borrowed a lot of the baby equipment on offer
and also some disabled items for my husband. Everything was good quality and spotlessly clean. We had one of the ready prepared meals on our first night and it was very good. Made plenty of use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Our dogs enjoyed running in the field. There is nothing to fault at Wallops Wood, we will be back soon.

Everything was 100%, except the weather, which was very March-like and lead-up-to-Easter-like, but I'm not holding that against Wallops Wood!
We were comfortable, warm and cozy, so no issues.

Staff were amazing as I've experienced from booking to leaving, Thanks Sue, Mandy and Victoria in particular with shouts to Peter and Denise also.

During both our visits, we were visitED by a few ants in the kitchen. I just wanted to say that this is a farm environment and it should be expected that this would occur. We were in no way infested with them, but expect a few, put stuff away and don't be put off by this comment, it's just a heads-up!

Just returned from our fifth consecutive stay at Wallops Wood. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the kitchen, bathrooms, etc. Lovely welcome hamper as always. The property was spotlessly clean. Lovely smellies provided in the bathrooms to use, but not keep.
We had no hot water on the second day, but contacted Andrew, the owner, and he was soon round and fixed it. The pool, hot tub and sauna all very welcome. We did not get round to using the games room.
Wallops Wood is quite remote, it is a good 15 minutes drive each way to Denmead, to a great fish and chips shop, Indian restaurant, Chinese takeaway and Co-op. A lovely pub, The White Lion, in Soberton is about 40 minutes walk away. Some lovely walks nearby, many routes provided in the info binder.
This was our fifth stay at Sundew and have already booked for February 2025.

The best property we have stayed at yet. As a group of ladies, we do stay away 3 times a year on average and our experiences are that most places over-promise and seriously under-deliver. This was not the case with Wallops Woods. High quality furnishings and facilities, a wonderful swimming pool for the private use of each cottage, a great hot tub with a view of the countryside, a fabulous welcome basket for us and the dogs, a decent size fridge etc...etc...
We will definitely be returning.

Very happy with the cottages some nice well thought out touches made for a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Would have liked better weather and to have stayed longer so hope to come back at some point in the future!

We had an excellent stay and cannot fault anything. We can honestly say that this has been the best accommodation we have stayed at when taking bringing the dogs with us. Everything has been thought about and we have already booked to return.

We have been coming to wallops wood for years bringing different groups of friends and our family. Everyone who has been with us has loved the place, it’s such a great place to relax in the hot tub taking in the beautiful views and there’s space for dogs and children to run around.
The lodges are so well equipped and spotlessly clean.
Already planning our next visit!

Five of us friends visited Wallops Wood again. This was our 4th annual trip to Wallops Wood, staying in Sundew as usual. It is now like home from home for us.
Everything was sparkling clean, the facilities are all amazing, and it's very quiet and peaceful. It is quite remote and you do feel "off-grid" but it's very relaxing there. Excellent WiFi! Amazing welcome pack as usual. We all love it and will be returning for our 5th trip in 2024. Hot tub and swimming pool added bonus.
Only slight negative now as there is more new accommodation is the car park, it is very tight for space and not a lot of room to manoeuvre vehicles.

Eleven members of my family spent our Christmas at Wallops Wood in two cottages. All aspects of our stay, from the lovely cottages, the pool and games room gave us a great holiday. Our cottages had Christmas trees, decorations and even Christmas crackers and a welcome pack including homemade cake and a bottle of wine. We were welcomed and given every assistance throughout our stay. We will be booking another visit.

Everything is provided so literally swim towels and cooking ingredients are all that are needed. You can even buy meals on site so it is true, everything has been thought of. We tried the games room this year as it was shut in previous years, that was great fun. The sauna was open - our one small negative was that we thought the wood in the sauna needed to be positioned closer together as you could lean and potentially get too close to the heating element, but we made sure we didn’t lean back. Sadly the steam room wasn’t working so we hope that will be back in use next time we visit. Overall a perfect stay and we look forward to returning. The Xmas tree in the accommodation was a great finishing touch. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Our second stay here in Sundew with family. It was as enjoyable as the first visit with the dog as excited as us to be back.A few days together to catch up, relax and chill out. We had a fantastic time here and really didn’t want to go home!

The accommodation was very comfortable and a nice place to relax. The pool and games room were great and there was plenty of space for my son to explore outside.

Also, all the staff we met were lovely

Only side note would be that some citronella candles or similar would be useful. Must have been the weather but there where lots of mosquitoes.

This is my third stay in Sundew and we had a lovely time. Such a good location, plenty to do as well as a perfect setting for relaxing.

It was the first time we brought a dog and she loved it too.

One observation was that the were cigarette butts on the patio but other than that the place was spotless.

We booked Wallops Wiod Cottages initially because we needed an EV charge point. Unfortunately our EV is delayed because of a shortage of silicone chips. Nevertheless we brought our son and two grandchildren and all enjoyed a great stay.
Much use was made of the pool and hot tub. The latter was used in all weathers being sited on the patio. The playroom was also a hit with small and big kids.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a break from day to day life in a relaxing setting.

We had a lovely stay with cousins over half-term break. Despite the storms, the onsite generator meant we had power for the whole visit unlike some of the local area. The cottages are so comfy, customer service is great and pool is the nicest we've ever used on a holiday.
It was fantastic for accessibility too, for our nephew who needs a location that can accommodate wheelchairs etc. So nice to know we will still be able to go away together somewhere so lovely when additional support may be needed to access the pool etc. Highly recommend the cottages.

This was our third trip to Wallops Wood, again staying at Sundew. Arrived Friday, left Monday. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and other kitchen utensils. Lovely big fluffy towels, gorgeous toiletries to use (but not to keep - available to purchase though) Comfy beds. We used the pool which has a booking system and the hot tub in our garden. Great walks nearby. We have already booked for February 2023! Came home thoroughly refreshed.

My family and I have just returned from our third visit to Wallops Wood. Once again, a delight to stay is such an idyllic location and to relax in comfort. No want for nothing, everything you could possibly need is provided and you are able to relax the minute you get there. Access to an indoor swimming pool, simply a few steps from your accommodation is just amazing - we absolutely love it. Our visit followed a recommendation from a friend who stays regularly. Our party of 6 included my 91 year old Father, Husband who walks with a stick and a dog. Everyone was well catered for, the complimentary pack for the dog was equally as thoughtful as the generous one left for us and included an engraved name tag for her to wear in case she got lost. The garden was enclosed and the field outside was also fenced within the hedge which helped to prevent wandering.
As everything within the accommodation and garden is on the flat it is very accessible and there is one property especially adapted for those needing more help.
There was lots of information left for places to visit, dog walks, dog friendly pubs, safety information so everyone was happy. We swam in the pool, watched the stars from the hot tub and felt at home and comfortable.
The dog had an equally good time. Apparently one property can cater for a much larger number of people meaning that we could come as a larger family get together. I am sure that we will be back!

My husband and I recently celebrated my 80th Birthday at Wallops Wood cottages with 12 other members of our family, the youngest being just three, and our dogs and we all had the most wonderful three days. The people who run this amazing place could not have been nicer and the facilities are second to none (they’ve thought of everything). Would highly recommend staying there and we shall definitely be going back.

We stayed at Wallops Wood two years ago, and we were so delighted to be able to return for another holiday. I group of us rented two adjoining cottages. As we remembered from our first stay, the cottages were VERY clean, well appointed and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the hot tubs, and the ability to book times in the pool (quite a few of our group are keen swimmers). The sunsets were beautiful, particularly from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly (the plastic champagne glasses for the hot tub are an excellent touch!).
The local pub the Hampshire Bowman is defintely worth a visit. It's a drive away but excellent food and drink (and the driver can get some of the wonderful cider selection to take home, if they wish!).
Our one suggestion is that the hobs in the cottages are not very good, taking ages to heat and difficult to control. Everything else was lovely, with well-appointed kitchens, big tables able to seat us all together, attentive and friendly staff, and a beautiful outlook.
We are already booking again for next year!

Wallops wood cottages were perfect for our stay. We came down from Manchester for a wedding and stayed over the weekend. The cottages were clean, spacious and had everything you needed (especially if you have a dog because the dog pack is brilliant!). From cake to bread and nespresso pods for the coffee machine, it’s brilliant.

Had a very enjoyable holiday in July the accommodation was spotless and well equipped. The hot tub had lovely views of the countryside and the cottage well located for walks to some lovely local pubs. Only downside was that the games room, sauna and steam room were still off-limits for Covid. We would definitely stay again.

We had an excellent stay at Sundew. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Extra nice touches like the cake and local produce were a welcome sight when we arrived. The whole setting was well equipped and to a very high standard, everything you need is there. The site is beautifully maintained and the garden was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the hot tub while looking out over the countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and explored the local area finding beaches, shopping centres, walks and historical places of interest. We loved staying at Wallops Wood, cottages are well furnished and equipped, lovely surroundings though not really able to easily walk to shop or pub etc. Hot tub was great, good to have the pool for 45 minutes too. Welcome pack excellent, fish pie was delicious, staff very helpful. Will return, only slight criticise is main bedroom with cot was very hot as by the hot water tank and not able to fully open window, used the fan but still hot. But this did not spoil our holiday and would highly recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed our time at Wallops Wood Cottages. We have been at home for such a long time due to the pandemic so it was wonderful to have a change of scenery for a few days. The cottage was perfect and the views over the South Downs were spectacular. A little more sunshine would have been nice but even Wallops Wood can’t control that! The staff that we met were kind and helpful and always had smiles on their faces. Thank you to everyone.

This was a second visit for one guest and a third for another which says a lot about the place! The set up is fantastic with so much attention to detail from the provisions of maps and information about the surrounding area to kitchen utensils and welcome provisions which really fast track you into relaxing for a perfect stay.

The cottage was clean and spacious and with the best-equipped kitchen of a holiday rental that I have ever known. Everything was provided from tea bags to dishwasher tablets to olive oil, and all of the kitchen equipment was high quality.

My children loved the hot tub in the garden and the indoor pool was lovely and warm.

There were lots of recommended walks to take on laminates in the cottage. We tried two of these walks to local pubs and enjoyed the beautiful local scenery.

In essence, as the title of this review says; a great family stay.

Very comfortable and well equipped accommodation with top quality furnishings and accessories. Beautiful views from the living room and spa over the surrounding countryside towards the Isle of Wight. Spotlessly clean and all staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and having a barbecue in the garden. Looking forward to returning for the third time.

This cottage was extremely comfortable and decorated to a very high spec. This was a perfect stay for our family and 2 dogs which we enjoyed greatly. We had peace of mind that our pups could not escape from the garden, as it was all secured. There was also a big field beyond the garden which was all enclosed which was great to exercise them (in between long leisurely walks in the area).
Overall a great stay and we would highly recommend to anyone.

Six of us stayed at Wallops Wood earlier in February. The accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable. Everything you could need was provided. The welcome hamper was extremely good. The facilities were superb. One of our party is returning with her family this Easter and the six of us have re-booked for next February. Need I say more?! 10/10!!

We love this place, its home from home with all the amenities needed for a self catering stay. We stayed in Sundew and it's very roomy for 5 of us and our dogs, with big beds and each room having an ensuite and TV, means you have your own space and privacy. We love the private hot tub, it allows you to sit and take in the beautiful views. This is our second time staying at Wallops Wood Cottages and we have another break booked in Spring. No doubt we will be back again, as we really enjoyed swimming every day in the new pool too.

Wallop Wood is in an ideal location with star accommodation . It offers all the best comforts of life anyone could wish for. The accommodation is spacious and of a very high standard. Great thought has gone into the daily needs of your holiday. From
the minute you open the front to the time you retire to bed you will be impressed by the quality of furniture and fittings. My only thought of improvement would be someone to welcome you on the first day of arrival to just say "Welcome if you need anything we are here to help you" Saying that everything you might want to know about the accommodation and local area is provided in written format in the cottage. A great place to stay especially for people with daily life disabilities.

Lovely rural location. Cottages beautifully maintained, equipped and laid out. Welcome hamper was all very good produce.
We had fantastic sunny weather so were able to enjoy wonderful views from the cottage and also to use the outside space as well as the indoor swimming pool.

We were a large group (20+adults & 12kids & 3dogs) staying for a long weekend in October. We had done a lot of searching a year in advance to find the perfect spot before we settled on Wallops Wood.
We weren’t disappointed.
The cottages were set up exactly as we had specified for dogs/children etc but the addition of doggie welcome baskets and little gifts for the children in their cots was an extra special touch that everyone really appreciated. They had also given us extra table space for our group meals.
The cottages were fantastically well provisioned with plenty of dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc and treats such as Nesprrsso capsules and home made cake. All the necessary kitchen utensils and pans were clean and there was never a moment when we wanted for a piece of equipment and found it to be missing.
The pool was a wonderful addition to our stay and on a very wet afternoon was a great way to help the kids let off steam.
Fanstastic cottages, beautiful spot, excellent customer service. 5* all round from a group of well travelled (and sometimes quite picky) gang of friends.

We stayed in Sundew for a week in August and cannot recommend it highly enough. The cottage itself was lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and we prepared several meals with ease, thanks to the thoughtful inclusion of so many little essentials.

It was fantastic to be able to use the indoor pool, which was always warm and although we saw other guests there, it was never too crowded. The views were beautiful and having a field behind the cottage made for a feeling of space.

There were great places to eat nearby, particularly the Baker's Arms in Droxford, which is a short drive away.

All in all, we had a lovely family holiday and would definitely consider staying here again.

This is the second time visiting and once again had a fab time. The views are so beautiful. The cottage was so comfortable and an added coffee machine was much appreciated. The facilities for the disabled were excellent which meant mother in law could get around the property very easily. With a swimming pool being added will definately make us return next year.

This was our second stay at Sundew in the last couple of years.
The cottage is well equipped and the additions of a welcome cake and bottle of wine are lovely touches as was the large decorated Christmas tree.
We had a small problem during our visit which was quickly attended to by the owners and they even gave us some red wine as an unnecessary apology.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable and all cozy due to the under floor heating.
Look forward to sampling the new indoor pool next year

We have stayed at a lot of holiday homes and none have been as well stocked or thought-through as this one. The homemade cake and provisions when we arrived were incredibly welcome after a very long trip with 4 small children. It is a fabulous location and despite all the homes being connected we never heard anyone else (and I hope they didn't hear us). The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Thank you for making our holiday stress-free (well as stress-free as possible).

When we were looking for accomodation for a break away we needed disabled facilities as well as somewhere which would allow dogs. Sundew cottage was perfect!! Beautifully decorated , spacious with everything anyone would want for a break away or even a home environment!! We were able to request disabled aids ich were left in the cottage for us at no extra cost. The cottages were beautifully rural however close enough to towns etc to have fun days out. Mum and Dad had a wonderful break and our dog did too!! With beautiful countryside, and fab dog walks. Everything had been thought of, down to a welcome pack for humans and dogs alike. The individual garden with hot tub was that extra luxury that you wouldn't get in other holiday accomodation with so many other extras. Highly recommend!!!

Having stayed at Wallops Wood previously, we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. The cottage 'Sundew' was spotless, everything you could possibly need is there. The hot tub was excellent and very well maintained. The only suggestion I would make is to ban smoking on the patio and garden area as second hand smoke entering your cottage or whilst you are eating outside is not acceptable, there is plenty of open space outside in the playing field. Overall the holiday was excellent and you cannot fault the property or management.

We recently hired out two of the apartments for a large family holiday (14 of us) . 8 of us in Hedgehunter 6 in Sundew. Both lovely apartments finished to a high standard. En-suites were just right to save the rush for the bathroom in the morning. A very well equiped kitchen - also provided all your essentials, tea, coffee, sugar, tea towels, washing up liquid, salt, pepper and a lovely welcome gift of bread, cake, wine etc. Views from the hot tub are amazing and well sheltered from your neigbours by the bushes in between.
Slighly of the beaten track so most places are a car journey away, but a nice lunchtime walk to the pub is also possible, but not after dark.
The whole family loved it from young to old and would highly recommend it to anyone

We booked all five cottages in the main block for a family celebration. The manager, Liz Horn, was very helpful, arranging for an extra table in Hedgehunter for the party buffet. Everything was perfect and I would have no hesitation in recommending Wallops Wood - in fact I already have. The hot tubs were a great success! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

We have just spent a wonderful few days at Wallops Wood. The location was stunning and sitting in the hot tub watching the view or the stars was so relaxing. Sundew was clean and well resourced and they even provided a bed for the dog. Our only niggle was that the mattresses were a little hard so we had a few nights uncomfortable sleep. That is down to personal preferences though so other people might find that a bonus. We would love to stay again and explore the area further as there is lots to see,

If you're thinking of booking wallops wood..I suggest you just do it..it's amazing..and unless there is something wrong with you..you won't be disappointed..the owner and staff were brill..and the home cooked lasagna and cottage pie were delicious and much appreciated after a exploring the wonderful sites in and around Portsmouth.

We stayed in Sundew for a long weekend and had a super time.

The cottage was kitted out to a very high spec but also included welcoming homely touches like milk in the fridge and a home made cake. There were even some doggie treats left for our pet.

The hot tub in the garden was lovely and warm and was a real treat especially in the lights at night.

The bedrooms were all a good size with almost all en-suite
