We had the most fantastic time.
The only thing We thought could do with improvement is stickers on the patio doors as one of the children thought the doors were open and ran into the doors.
This is our 2nd visit to Wallops Wood, staying at Woodbrook cottage with my wife and her carer. Once again, we had a lovely week, helped of course by the amazing weather. Plenty of things to do in the area and a perfect lace to retire to at the end of a long day, with swimming and hot hub facilities. Nothing is too much for the office staff and hopefully we will be back again sometime. It’s a long drive from York but worth it to stay somewhere so lovely and peaceful. Easily accessible for wheelchair users.
For an extended family group multiple accommodation options suit well; we enjoyed our time together and the space to socialise outside with a lovely view! However we do think it is at the top end of acceptable pricing - possibly over priced.
Sofas not very comfortable. Other than that, clean, beds comfy, decent shower. Had to pre-book your pool slot- not keen on this as but assume it was Covid related. Stunning location, but be mindful country lanes have no footpaths, so everywhere by car. Per website check in at 4- but ours was not ready until 4:50, so had to sit waiting to gain access. Hot tub was too hot on occasion to use, lid extremely heavy to put on and take off, but this may ne normal?

We loved our time at Skeldale cottage . Pleased that we were detached away from other cottages . The views were beautiful. The pool was one of best I have ever been as it was all one depth and I am not a strong swimmer so just right as could touch the floor . So nice to have pool to yourselves . So many places to visit within reach the watercress line in a must and Portsmouth! The welcoming cake and wallops wood Lemonade were a hit with everyone. Thankyou !
