We booked Woodbrook and Glendale for a family 80th birthday celebration. The place is ideal for a wheelchair user with ample space for 4 people and is well equipped and presented. There is adequate space for a hoist and profiling bed, but these have to be ordered from a specialist supplier.

This was our third visit and we are a group of 11 old school friends who meet for a reunion once a year. Its difficult to find accommodation with the option of all single beds but Woodbrook and Silver Birch meet our requirements perfectly. The cottages are very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and any problems are dealt with immediately. The properties are well located for Winchester and Portsmouth. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Wallops Wood .

We had a. Fantastic time with plenty of walks,swimming and enjoying the hot tub.The wheelchair access was perfect for my husband.Our two dogs enjoyed there comfy beds and treats.Thankyo gorgeous a lovely holiday will see you soon.

Been visiting Wallops Wood since 2017 as we love it so much. This was our first time in Woodbrook a 2 bedroom lodge.
It has everything you could possibly need and more, although we missed the views from the garden. We were able to get out for some good walks with our Spaniel Buddy, he enjoyed the freedom of the field to run about in.
Such a great team, through from booking to cleaning & maintenance and that's why we return year after year, personal touches make such a difference too

Found this cottage whilst looking for a weekend break to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was well equipped, comfortable and spacious for 4 people. Although it had a few niggling faults they did not detract from our overall experience. The hot tub and next door swimming pool were a bonus which we used regularly. Location enabled us to visit Winchester,Chichester and Portsmouth with ease although, apart from the walks from the property, you always needed a car.

We went to wallops wood as a group and it worked really well. We stayed in two of the properties. We had a lot of fun the pool was great as were the hot tubs. There was everything we needed in the properties. The welcome pack was great. Great local pubs. We picked out some of the home made food for the Friday night and it was really lovely, well worth doing. Thank you for a great few days, we will all be back next year.

A return visit (though a different cottage) and despite poor weather a very comfortable stay. The cottage was very clean and everything is high quality. The welcome pack featured mainly local produce which was great.

We stayed here for a long weekend but by the end of it, wished we were staying longer. The cottage itself was spacious and clean with everything you could possibly need. The woodburner was stacked and ready to go which was a nice touch and the hot tub was fantastic and a favourite of my wife's.
The games room had activities suitable for all ages which everyone enjoyed and the swimming pool was great fun.
Booking and pre arrival information was easy. And the staff even sent a forgotten bottle of one of my wife's smellies which she was tremendously grateful for.
All round we had a great stay and hope to return soon.

As this was our third visit to Wallops Wood I think this speaks for itself. (Twice stayed in Teal with family and our disabled daughter and this time as there were only the two of us, in Woodbrook) We knew to expect excellent accommodation with a warm welcome including the best welcome pack going-bread, cake, wine, beer, butter and apple juice.
The facilities for wheelchair users are excellent. The staff and owner are very friendly and we have already booked a family holiday for June next year.

Very nice property which had all amenities we needed for a successful family celebration. The swimming pool was large enough but it was unfortunate the jacuzzi was not working albeit comfortably warm to sit in
All cottages were reasonably equipped for someone with mobility problems.
Staff on hand and would try and cater for any need

Our group had a lovely stay at Wallops Wood, for our fifth year in a row (not counting 2020 when we couldn't stay).
As always, we had a lovely cottage with a very well-appointed kitchen, excellent hot tub and beautiful views. The staff were super helpful as always. We enjoyed the pool and the accessibility of the cottages. We've already booked for next year! I can't recommend Wallops Wood highly enough!

Another excellent week at wallops Woods, this was our 2nd visit.

Wallops Wood has everything we could need with a 3 year old and dog, everyone is well catered for especially when the weather isn't great.

We stayed on woodbrook, we had everything we needed plus the extras that are available.

Thank you for another great holiday.

Loads of room in the well appointed cottage. Everything you could need was provided right down to the Nespresso coffee machine and pods! Great to come back and have a swim / sauna / jacuzzi after a day out sightseeing. Found 2 great pubs…. The Bat & Ball and the Shoe Inn.
Cannot recommend Wallops Woods enough especially for wheelchair users like our friend.

We stay at Woodbrook cottage and had an excellent break. The accomodation is very well set up for someone with disabilities, my brother is in a wheelchair and we had no problem negotiating the cottage.
The welcome pack including a delicious cake was a lovely touch.
We also had a prepared meal from Wallops Wood which was delicious.
Having pre-bookable slots for the fabulous pool is a really good idea and I enjoyed a swim everyday.
I would highly recommend Wallops Wood cottages.

It really was a truly wonderful weeks stay, Wallops Wood a new place to us, the cottage, surrounding area and environment was just right, the additional equipment appreciated, super considerate support and our privacy protected. A perfect place for a celebratory 70th birthday mini break with the family in two fabulous cottages Woodbrook and Glenside.
3 children 2;6 and 9 had so much to occupy themselves with. The swimming pool was a great success and it was perfect to be able to book it for family hour slots. The games room had toys and activities for all the ages. The field outside also came into its own to fly gliders and kick a ball. The weather too was on our side. All in all a special family weekend. Thank you

I was first drawn to Wallops Wood because of the design for disabled people. It's highly accessible and modern interior meant that it was completely accessible for our daughter, without feeling clinical. The profiling bed for hire was set up and ready to go on our arrival, meaning that all of our daughters needs were met and a good night's sleep was had.
The games room, meadow and exclusive use swimming pool were a highlight for us. The little touches such as the Nespresso coffee machine and pods, the wonderful welcome hamper and washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc took the stress out of rembering to pack every little thing and our stay felt like a home from home.
I can't find any faults, Woodbrook Cottage was excellent! A more expensive holiday than we are used to but you pay for what you get, and in that sense it was certainly value for money.

A wonderful short break away with our two children and dog. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The location was ideal with plenty of circular dog walks (passing the obligatory pub for lunch..) within striking distance. We enjoyed the hot tub & pool and appreciated having use of the meadow too. All in all, a lovely stay - we will be back!

One of the best places I've been to for a chill out holiday peaceful and the pool to yourself and a hot tub on your patio to relax in and lovely welcome package with cake bread and wine you do not need to bring much as everything provided and Portsmouth
and Southampton and Winchester and Waterlooville only stone throw away will be definitely coming here again

My family stayed in Woodbrook and Glenside for a family Christmas. Both cottages were excellent, well appointed and comfortable. The only criticism is that although Glenside was advertised as able to seat 10 people there were not enough chairs, nor the table large enough to accommodate our party of eight for our Christmas dinner.

Woodbrook is a lovely cosy 2 bedroom cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing! The cottage has a wonderful kitchen with everything you need if you wanted to cook without having to go out, even a homemade cake on arrival with fresh bread and milk butter wine! The bedrooms are very comfortable both have patio doors that lead out to a patio area where the hot tub is which is great to use to chill out especially after cycling for miles! The bathrooms are lovely one has a wet room with shower and the other has a bath & shower! The living room area is so warm & cosy with a log fire to hand that kept us lovely & warm. The amenities are great you can use the heated pool with changing rooms and they have a games room, also a bike shed with electric sockets if you had an electric bike which was great! Also chargers for electric cars!
We had a wonderful stay at Woodbrook, the staff are not far away to help if you needed it they are wonderful and so friendly! We will be returning very soon!

This year we looked for a holiday that offered us a bit more, and wallops wood delivered. With a dog and 2 year old it had everything we needed, a field for exercising, recommended walks, swimming pool (we loved being able to book it exclusively), a play room, the hot tub for us, and enclosed garden and the welcome baskets. Wow, we will definitely be coming back!

The good;
- Property was really nice, clean and equipped.
- Great to have hot tub / pool / garden / walks / playroom facilities
- Nice staff
- Very considerate touches for dog / local food package, etc.

The areas for improvement;
- 3 of us on seperate occasions walked into the glass doors to the patio thinking they were open, when they were closed.
- We were infested by mosquitos. I alone has 23 bites one night. No warning on it being an issue, and no bug spray / traps.
- One tiny, tiny fan (4"?) provided for 3 rooms. The temperature in the lounge never fell below 26, even if it was much less outside. Really quite stuffy, even with windows / patio doors open during August. Needs aircon, and I cannot imagine what it's like in higher temperatures (30+)

This is our 2nd visit to Wallops Wood, staying at Woodbrook cottage with my wife and her carer. Once again, we had a lovely week, helped of course by the amazing weather. Plenty of things to do in the area and a perfect lace to retire to at the end of a long day, with swimming and hot hub facilities. Nothing is too much for the office staff and hopefully we will be back again sometime. It’s a long drive from York but worth it to stay somewhere so lovely and peaceful. Easily accessible for wheelchair users.

We had a lovely week relaxing in Woodbrook cottage. Everything was exactly as described, and was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool, games room, and pretty meadow behind the cottages, all of which were easily wheelchair accessible.

It was a lovely holiday as everything imaginable was catered for. My husband is disabled and I was able to borrow a lot of disabled equipment at no extra charge which made life a lot easier for me. We also have 2 dogs and they had beds, blankets, towels, bowls, treats, poo bags and dog crates again all at no extra charge. The accommodation was immaculate and the enclosed garden had table and chairs and our own hot tub. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for September. Plus the owners and staff were all lovely, kind, helpful people.

The accommodation met our requirements and is situated in a lovely part of the country. Having mobility problems, the big bonus for me was having that lovely swimming pool with accessible steps and handrail. The booking system so that each cottage could have exclusive access to the pool for 45 minutes worked really well and I thoroughly enjoyed using the pool every day I was there.

Have just had a wonderful holiday in Woodbrook at Wallops Wood. We had a wonderful stay it was so relaxing and comfortable. The pool was lovely as was the hot tub and the owners were so accommodating with any requests. I highly recommend the meals which were really lovely and making the Brownies was a lot of fun. When we arrived the team were on hand and helpful and checking out, they were there to see how your stay was.
Lovely location, very peaceful. From check in to checking out, this was the best home from home break anyone could ask for. The cottage is extremely spacious, the beds comfy which provide a great nights sleep and what more do you need than you’re own private hot tub. Whilst at this time the pool use was one cottage at a time per day and this too was just lovely, i cannot fault Wallops Wood Cottages.
I would highly recommend Wallops Wood you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere which gives you the feeling of being away.

We stayed for three nights in Woodbrook lodge. The lodge was very comfortable, pleasantly decorated and extremely well stocked with everything one could need. I was delighted with the welcome pack including a delicious home made Victoria Sponge, wine, beer along with the more usual bread, butter eggs etc. I also appreciated all the extras one would normally have to bring from home, like tea towels, washing up liquid and toiletries.
Woodbrook has two bedrooms each with its own en suite. A very comfortable corner sofa and chair facing the wood burner and television with dining table in one room serving as the communal area. The beds were extremely comfortable super king sizes but could be separated into twin beds. Both bedrooms had patio doors leading out onto the terrace with hot tub, barbecue and table and chairs. Whilst we didn’t have a view there is a field opposite with stunning views across the valley and the most magnificent sun sets. Dogs are welcome.
I also appreciated the fact it was wheelchair friendly with alarm cords in the bathrooms. My only slight gripe was down to COVID in that we couldn’t find the instruction book for the induction hob, easily sorted with the help of google, and I do understand the effort taken to protect guests from possible COVID contamination, along with the remote control for the television was housed in a plastic bag. My other observation was that Woodbrook is next door to the swimming pool and noise travelled when we sat outside. However due to COVID the pool was only available on a booked lodge by lodge basis so it wasn’t a problem.All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. We have discussed a return visit with our dog next time and will try to get one of the lodges with the spectacular views.

We spent a whole week at Wallops Wood and it was lovely. Great location for switching off & relaxing as it is in the middle of nowhere.
The accommodation was done to a really high standard and very comfortable. The Woodbrook garden was too small for our 2 big dogs, but the field was great & they loved it.
The only slight downside for us taking the dogs, were the ticks and we spent a great deal of time picking them out.
The walks that were recommended weren’t completely up to date, as it doesn’t appear the public walkways are maintained so had to drive to walk the dogs. We found a fab woodland walk within 10 minutes drive.
Overall the experience was great and would go again, would just choose a cottage with a bigger garden.

The property is in a beautiful location and is very peaceful and restful. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and convenient and we very much appreciated the 'welcome' food/drink package. The swimming pool is a real advantage and the wonderful wildlife meadow and view adjacent to the property were gorgeous. We appreciated the walks that the owners had drawn up, especially the one to Old Winchester Hill, which gave fantastic panoramas.

We had the most wonderful time, we loved it so much we booked again for 2022 while we were there!

We are a family of 4 with twin 7 year olds, everything was spot on for us. The cottage was spotless, well equipped (to a height standard) and all details well thought out. The welcome pack is brilliant, not only does it include some fab essentials but also a delicious cake and a bottle of wine. The pool is terrific, it really is as fabulous as the pictures in the website! We made good use of it while we were there, particularly valuable to the children being at an age where they’re learning to swim. They had so much fun!

The setting is beautiful, there are stunning views all around, a private outdoor area for each cottage which includes BBQ, very clean well maintained hot tub and seating area. There is a large meadow within which the cottages are set which is perfect for children to play in.

The site is close to may attractions which were very appealing, we felt spoilt for choice with what to do each day.

Lastly the staff are super, professional and there if needed but giving you space to enjoy your stay.

A warm welcome to a lovely clean place (home from home) with extra's loved the whole set up and the hot tub totally relaxing!
just what we all needed after a hard working year with no breaks.... Also the extra swimming facilities fantastic
appreciated the extra little things, like a home made Victoria sandwich, bottle of wine and a lovely home baked loaf.... as we celebrated Xmas early, a most welcome Box of Christmas Crackers. Two village pubs highly recommend a visit.

We would have no problem recommending Wallops Wood, and we already have...

100% coming back to Wallop Woods Cottages!! It was amazing!
The cottage was so cosy and they had even decorated it for Christmas which made the stay even more magical!! Everything we needed was all within our cottage and there was even a little arrival package of goodies which was so lovely and personal! Hot tub was exactly what I needed as well!!!

Wow! What can we say to fully extol these wonderful cottages? We have recently returned from a spectacular holiday at Wallops Wood Cottages. The owners and their staff appear to have thought of everything to help to ensure a relaxing holiday. Our family, comprising of Mom, Dad, daughter and daughter-in-law, one of whom is wheelchair bound, and two dogs could not have asked for more. The whole cottage is fully accessible, only the best quality goods are provided, coffee/sugar/tea/washing tablets and dishwasher tablets/washing-up liquid/shower and hand gel /bin liners are all provided. In the rear courtyard there is a BBQ and table and chairs, and a hot tub. The cottage we stayed in, Woodbrook, did not have a view but alongside the cottages is a large open field in which a section is fenced off and laid out and planted as a garden for our private use.

Any additional equipment which may be needed simply has to be requested. We asked for the bed to be raised on elephant feet and for a commode/shower chair. These were provided at no extra cost. The swimming pool has a hoist which can be used with either a sling or a solid chair.

In these unprecedented times (COVID – 19) every possible step has been taken to ensure holidaymakers safety. The property must be vacated by 09:00 hours on the day of departure, and cannot be occupied until 17:00 hours on the day of arrival. This gives the cleaning staff a full day to do a thorough clean and to disinfect the property. Also the swimming pool is allocated (holidaymakers choose an hour during the day) to each party for 45 minutes per day.

The dogs loved it. Beds, bowls, a toy each, and treats were provided. They loved the field to run around in.

The properties are maintained to a very high standard and we cannot thank the cleaning staff, the gardeners, maintenance people, and the owners enough.

We have just returned from a fabulous week in the countryside. Our first holiday in the UK in 50 years & first holiday since my mother ‘s stroke. We stayed in Woodbrook. When we arrived the cottage was immaculate with fresh bread, a cake and milk etc. It is very spacious with easy access to the bedrooms, accessible bathroom ( great for wheelchair user) , and small terrace. The swimming pool was the highlight of the stay. With Covid restrictions we had to book a slot, this meant we had a private session. There is a hoist so access to the pool and jacuzzi was easy. Great place for exploring Winchester, Portsmouth, Southsea. We even managed a day trip to the Isle of Wight on the hovercraft.

Despite sharing a lovely quiet weekend with Storm Dennis outside :-) my wife and I (and our Yorkshire Terrier) didn’t worry. Had a little trouble operating the central heating and a small leak in the front door but appreciated the more than extreme weather.
Fabulous facilities, organised and friendly staff.
Perfect spot and base to visit the whole area (next time !) thank you. Will return ASAP.

Everything is extremely well thought out, spacious and comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful and provided us with all the additional items we requested for our baby which made the whole trip much easier.

We enjoyed the pool and our hot tub was nicely secluded.

The property is in a lovely spot but isn’t too far from the main roads so exploring is easy.

A real home-from-home with all the creature comforts you need (dishwasher, coffee machine, smart TVs etc) with some nice added extras such as the hot tub and the wood burning stove. And the best bit; the cottage comes fully stocked with all the bits to go with with them (dishwasher tablets, coffee pods, wood etc). The pool was a great addition and really appreciated by the kids. Good location within easy drive of nice villages and easy access into the South Downs and New Forest. Would definitely consider coming back and looking forward to seeing the new games room.

Wonderful & Peaceful location. Cleanliness was exceptional. Great Swimming Pool & Hot Tub. Very Dog Friendly. Met by a lovely & friendly lady called Lyn who was very helpful. The lodge has been very well planned out and very spacious, they have really given a lot of thought to the layout as this lodge is very roomy. Everything you need is supplied and the quality of the decor is tastefully done. The welcome pack was a nice gesture, especially the homemade cake. The hot tub is a lovely bonus and very relaxing, as was the use of the swimming pool which was a lovely temperature. The immediate surrounding land is great to let your dogs run free and extra thought has gone into the providing the dog towels etc, an absolutely brilliant idea. The surrounding area is stunning. The New Forest is only about 30 minutes away. The Bucks Head Pub great for food and very dog friendly (about 7 minutes way) and The White Horse Inn did a great Indian Takeaway (about 5 mins away, very easy to collect). We are definitely coming back.

Very good accommodation - very lucky with the weather as this made the views across the fields even more impressive. The swimming pool provides an excellent distraction for children (and adults!) and there is also a large field to play games in. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Wallops wood cottages provided us with most of the equipment for a holiday with myself my husband who is in a wheelchair and our carer,the other Equipment needed was available locally. The accommodation was very good self catering equipment provided had been well planned to give all that was required. Enjoyed the hot tub and the swimming pool. We went walks down the Meon trail, went to park and visited Portsmouth. A very enjoyable holiday hope to go back soon.

This is the 3rd time staying at Wallops Wood and the first in Woodbrook. As usual, the customer service is second to none and the place is spotlessly clean. It provides a real home from home experience. The little welcome hamper is always gratefully received, as is the dog pack! I ended up, due to circumstances, staying most of the week on my own, and as a female, still felt perfectly safe. I cannot wait to go back. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at Wallops Wood for a long weekend with our 2 girls (4 and 1). The facilities were perfect for us. A large clean well equipped kitchen and living area. A swimming pool that they both loved and a hot tub for the girls in the morning and us in the evening.

There are loads of attractions nearby and we enjoyed a day out at the farm, the beach, the science museum and the zoo whilst we were there.

There’s some fab touches such as bread, milk and cake being provided on arrival, a basket of toys for the girls and some dvd’s. I also got a small post of flowers for Mother’s Day which was very thoughtful.

We will be back!

I stayed here with my family and was very impressed with the cottage, the lovely hottub was amazing,spacious rooms lovely high ceilings, spacious pool and how close it was to the cottage, I really enjoyed everything about our stay and Was my favourite holiday would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning especially when it's so close to London too!

We had a fabulous holiday in Woodbrook. It was amazingly equipped and comfortable. The hot tub and swimming pool were great. One of us has walking difficulties and found everything to be usable with the exception of the hot tub. We would definitely return

This is our second visit and we will certainly be back. Having a jacuzzi & glass of wine once kids are in bed..nothing better. A lovely walk to the local pub with the dog & an afternoon swim in the pool...it really has everything for a country retreat. We're hoping not too many people find out about it, or we might have competition to book in :-).

We loved the cottage and it's facilities. The underfloor heating was great although it was not easy tochange the time or the temperature. (There were also 3 power cuts during our stay which meant resetting some appliances and nobody came along to see if we needed any help at all.) Some of the appliance guides appeared to be missing from the folder.
The dog friendly approach was very commendable and the best we have seen since owning a dog! The information told us that dogs are not allowed in bedrooms...but in order to get to the outside space we and the dogs had to exit through frenckh doors in the bedrooms. There was just no other way!
We mainly chose Wallop Wood Cottages because of the swimming pool and hot tubs. My main exercise since my MS became progressive has been swimming, so I was really looking forward to my daily swim. What I hadn't bargained for was the first time I swam, one of the workmen decided that at that time he needed to go up a ladder and empty the leaves out of the gutter on the window side of the pool. During the time that we were there I noticed many occasions that the pool was empty in daylight hours when the task could have and should have been done. It is no use having these facilities then spoiling it by making guests feel uncomfortable.
Wallops Wood Cottages sent me an e-mail less than 3 hours prior to our arrival time to say that all the hot tubs would be serviced during our stay but couldn't say what day and time. Following our arrival when the owner popped in to see us he told us that it would be on our 2nd day there but again couldn't give us a time. So that wasa whole day when we couldn't use what I had paid for. On the following day when we did use it we found that one of the headrests wasn't there. We reported it and it was dealt with quickly........but when a hot tub is being serviced surely the engineer needs to check it is all in place before leaving.
The company refunded my deposit quickly. However, I had expected a small gesture to be made because of the day when we couldn't use our jaccuzi or a voucher against our next visit.

I have made sure that there are now instructions for every appliance in the cottage to help with the day to day usage. We realise that the requirement not to allow the dogs in the bedrooms does not apply to Woodbrook as you need to walk through the bedroom to access the patio. We are really sorry that the maintenance man clearing the gutters made you feel uncomfortable during your swim and we will all aim to be more mindful in the future. We would love to welcome you back to Wallops Wood Cottages and we offer a 5% discount to our returning guests.

Good location for seeing Meon Valley area. Good for dog walks. Clean and new cottages. Well equipped and top end kitchen tools.

Booked a Friday, Saturday night at Wallops Wood with my 10 year old son, dog and my parents. We had a great time! Our cottage was beautiful, spacious, with every little thing was thought of! We loved the pool and the hot tub and poppy our dog loved running up to the field! Will be back!

This cottage is perfect, the website doesn’t do it justice regarding the facilities and equipment available even down to the small things like the welcome pack and smaller items that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to find.
Our dogs enjoyed and made use of their welcome pack, however dog owners need to be aware that this cottage only has a small patio and not a garden as such, but the dogs still had a fantastic time.

We enjoyed an excellent week at Wallops Wood. The accommodation is of a very high standard, lots of space, excellent appliances and kitchen equipment - they really have thought of everything! The owners pay a great deal of attention to every detail to ensure that everything is spot on for every family. The welcome pack included the best of local produce too! Everyone was very friendly and kind. Lots of help in advance with disabled equipment etc. The spotless new pool and the private hot tub were a real bonus! Thank you to everyone at Wallops Wood!

A very pleasant 3-night stay in Woodbrook, the newest 2 bed cottage ( 1 ensuite and the other with bathroom next to it) with private hot-tub in an enclosed garden. The spacious cottage is equipped with all facilities, including washer-drier, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and even a Nespresso. On arrival, it was so good to be able to settle straight in, with essentials like milk, bread and butter already supplied, together with a homebaked sponge, bottle of wine in the fridge and a special pack of beers for Father's Day. A pet bed, blanket and towel were supplied for the dog and she had a welcome pack of treats and a toy too! The site is relatively new and work is still being carried out to extend and provide a shop. The 18m swimming pool, which opened this May, was great for me and my teenage boys. Walks and places to eat are all listed and shown on maps in the cottage information. The owners have shown great attention to detail in the planning of these farm building conversions, with the necessary adaptations and equipment available for disabled holidaymakers too. The only negative would be that, even though the weather was not particularly hot, the rooms did feel a bit hot - perhaps due to the tin roofing?? A small and peaceful retreat looking out on South Downs. Excellent for a relaxed break in the countryside.
