Six individually furnished cottages located on a riverside farm. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on our own stretch of the Tweed. All weather tennis court. Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cheviot Hills and Scottish Borders towns all within 45 mins drive.
We loved our week at Shepherd’s Cottage. The cottage is extremely well equipped, with everything you could possibly need, and a lovely garden. The cottage was immaculate and very clean - also great for dogs as there is an enclosed garden. We took our puppy for her first holiday and she had a fabulous week. There are great walks from the door - we really enjoyed walking down to the river early in the morning to see the swans and geese, and the nearby beaches were fabulous. We will definitely be back!

There is very little to say about West Ord which hasn't already been said, it is a fantastic place to go if you are looking for a lovely cottage in a very tranquil setting. There is good fishing and walking available in the area and some good pubs and restaurants. We can recommend Foxtons in Berwick for an excellent Sunday lunch.
It is always a great pleasure to meet Sandy and Carol again. We have already booked again for next year.
We managed to get a last minute booking and we're really grateful that we did. The cottage was fully equipped, clean and tidy and with convenient parking. The delights of Northumberland were on the doorstep including walks along the Tweed.
We had a fantastic stay at West Ord Farm. The shiel is a wonderful retreat situated in the fields at the banks of the River Tweed.
A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the area.
The owners were managing new covid restrictions really well and still made us feel welcome.
