What can I say.. Absolutely beautiful, both the location and the cottage! The owners has thought of absolutely everything! Spotlessly clean, can not fault anything, you can make your visit as relaxing or busy as you like, Lower Mill Estate is tranquil.. Perfect to unwind, everyone is so respectful of the precious nature and surroundings and of one another! Already booked return visit for 2024(while in the car travelling home!) We loved it, my family had a job dragging me away when it was time to go! Couldn't recommend highly enough
Absolutely spot on all round. A lovely house in an ideal and peaceful spot on Isis lake. It’s clean, airy and has a lovely terrace to sit on overlooking the lake. A short walk to the playground, tennis courts and short cut to South Cerney. We stayed initially as 2 adults and a 2 year old which was very spacious and then 4 adults and a 2 year year old which was a little cosier but absolutely fine. It has all the amenities you need plus fast wifi. TV is a little basic so would recommend taking a firestick to access Netflix/Amazon etc if you need that - but otherwise a really great stay. ...more
We stayed here for a weekend in June 24. It’s one of the nicest I’ve stayed in, all of the furniture and fittings were in lovely order, it was cosy and comfortable. We were missing a couple of towels which they sent round with little delay. They gave us early check in and a late check out as they had availability without us asking which was a nice touch.
Very nice accommodation run by a very organised company. Would highly recommend and will be going back soon for a summer break.
We arrived on Monday and had to phone orion as we had forgotten the keysafe code who were extremely helpful, after moving our stuff in we found a small problem with the fridge again we phoned the office and again found them to go above normal response when Alan turned up to check on us. I cannot rate the Orion holiday's team more highly . The cabin was well equipped with everything you could need for a stress free holiday with fantastic views. And yes we would return again.

We visited for a family birthday. There were 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room. Everything was great. The location on site was perfect, the layout was great. Lots of little extras such as tennis equipment were a nice touch. Hot tub was great too, was checked daily while we were there. Would definitely recommend
We stayed at the property August 2024, and generally had a nice week overall. The property itself is very high spec, and we made the most of everything it had to offer. It was also very clean on arrival and provided all the comforts it advertised. It felt very much like a new build still. The location was great overlooking the lake, and the roof was perfect given there wasn't enough space on the ground floor for decking like the other lake houses. We had an amazing week at Spring Lake, the house has everything you could possibly need , There are lovely restaurants in walking distance and of course you can enjoy any water sport that you prefer. We will definitely be back .
This was the second time at this house already booked for next year. Have been to Windrush lake with Orion Holidays for the last 4years very good company. The staff are extremely helpful and very pleasant. The house is fabulous for my family and the location superb. Hope to continue our visits in the years to come.
88 Howells Mere is a lovely apartment, with plenty of space and a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The location is spot on, just a short walk up to Balihoo and the Spa. It has everything you need, with comfy beds and a spacious lounge to relax in. Highly recommended!

A throughly good holiday which was enjoyed by all - eighty year olds to five year olds. We total 9 in all. It was a return to old hunting grounds having untaken initial aircrew Officer training at RAF South Cerberus and living in the Ashton Keynes area for nearly 20 years. In the late sixties as an officer cadet I had visited the pits (now Lakes) to undertake leadership training exercises - bridge and raffle building. I was very impression with the transformation of the gravel pits into a holiday resort.
We had a lovely stay on Summer Lake. The house was beautiful and so very well equipped. We had every we needed. To deal with such a wonderful holiday company was the icing on the cake. The Orion team of people are professional, so accommodating and friendly. Lovely lovely people. Thank you.
My wife and I took our adult daughter away for a relxing holiday and we weren't dissapointed. The house was delightful, bright and airy and very comfortable in every respect. The house was very well equiped, plenty of storage and comfortable beds and the outside deck beside the lake was a real bonus. We enjoyed watching the water skiers and wild life and the facilities around the other lakes were very good too. Very modern, well equipped, comfortable home away from home in great location. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
Lodge is very well equipped. Views over the lake and the bird life are a joy to observe. The grounds are immaculately maintained and I have enjoyed lovely walks. Isis Lake is well situated for trips to Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford and of course the whole of the Cotswolds. Close by there is a very good selection of pubs and eateries. The Crown at Cerney Wick is excellent.
This was a family gathering of eight for a special birthday. The location was perfect on a beautiful lake with plenty of wildlife to enjoy and a cuckoo calling in the background. The accommodation worked perfectly and had everything we needed for our stay including games, boules and tennis racquets. There were plenty of local activities and a good choice of places to eat and a large Tesco was only a short drive away. We are already planning our next visit.
Stayed 3 nights in August, property is fab. Very well appointed, everything you might need for self catering stay. Hot tub added bonus. Lots of room on decking area & plenty of seating. Highly recommend & intend to return.
A fabulous secure location with wonderful properties. Holidaying here caters for all from total chill out to hectic activity all wrapped up in nature.
Booking procedures and accommodation was excellent. The property was very well maintained and an excellent layout for a large family of 6 to 8 people. Very quiet and relaxing, although this was out of season but felt we had the whole area to .ourselves. Lovely walk out around the lake to nearby facilities and although we didn’t use all of them there was enough there for plenty of choice. Spacious house in tranquil location with lovely view over lake. The property has a well equipped kitchen and good amount of basic supplies such as tea, coffee, etc. Bath robes were supplied which is ideal after using the hot tub. The property is in an ideal location for exploring the local area with restaurants and leisure amenities within easy reach.
Our 2nd stay at this very comfortable lodge There were a couple of maintenance issues to which Orion responded very quickly.wirh temporary fixes.
We had a lovely stay in Windrush 87, the property was very clean, very well equipped and had lovely Lake views. We will definitely be back!

We had a great family stay for a long weekend, with 3 families spread across 2 properties. The setting is fantastic, with lovely grounds to walk around, pretty lakes and the ability to kayak/paddleboard in one lake. The kids had a brilliant time and spent hours in the play area, which was less than 100m from the house. Would definitely stay again
Lovely little place, we used for 2 week stay for work that was near by. Got all amenities and cleaner came in once a week to change bedding and give a clean etc. Loved staying here and would stay again.
Once again we had a very special time together as a family with lots of visiting family and friends popping in for BBQ’s on the deck. The house was presented very well this year and was spotless. Fingers cross some of the recent issues with some residents trying to disrupt the water sports, doesn’t lead to them ceasing these activities that have prevailed for the past 30 years or so and which are a key attraction for many. If all is well we will return.
We all had a lovely stay for a family birthday celebration. The house was ideally located, clean and a good size. The check in process was straightforward and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. We were nicely surprised by how much was provided in the house too.
Lots of cobwebs inside under worktop. Had an issue with WIFI my husband lost half a days work. Also hot tub had dirt in it. Reported this on the Sunday, no one came until the Wednesday so couldn’t use it. He added more chemicals which burnt our eyes and irritated of skin.

We had a lovely stay in August 2024 in this property. It felt very spacious. Having the lounge and kitchen upstairs was great as you can really appreciate the views across the lake being higher up. Phone reception isn't very good unfortunately - so you have to either be outside on the balcony or on the edge of one of the downstairs bedrooms to be able to make a call. Felt like going back 15 years in this respect (brought back funny memories of phone calls on hills and random places to get reception!) but wifi was good. Had a lovely stay at Waters Edge, great location, everything close by. Enjoyed being able to walk to other lakes for kayaking and great meals at The Lakeside Brasserie and The Gateway. Accommodation was outstanding just wish we had better weather! However it didn't stop us using the jacuzzi in the rain, just had to wear a hat !! Would love to return.
Casa Angel is so lovely. Comfortable, cosy, clean, stylish. Great kitchen , easy to cater for a family. Loved the decking area & the approximity to the lake. Highly recommend. Felt it was expensive. You need to book activities as they get booked up.

We stayed at this gorgeous house for a family weekend to celebrate my mums 75th birthday. We had family aged from 18 months to 80 and the house was perfect. The owners have such style and everything so well thought through. We all enjoyed the hot tub and eating dinner on the upstairs decking. Beds were lovely and the master bed rooms were gorgeous. Orion holidays were organised and friendly when we called them. We will definitely be back and use them again .
We went with family and shared the house, 4 adults and 4 kids. Accomodation was lovely. The only slight downside was we couldn't really see the lake but still a beautiful place. We played tennis, went swimming, used the astro and had a game of football on the field. We also hired canoes. Unfortunately the restaurant was always fully booked, so we went off site or had a BBQ at the house. Overall a great weekend break

The area of the Cotswolds is idyllic. The Lodge itself was spacious but was looking a bit tired. A refresh is needed, mainly on the external areas. The Lodge is overlooking a lake but has no access for paddle-boarding etc. The lodge sleeps 10 people but there is only room for one car and the visitors bays are quickly taken up. The wine cooler had not been cleaned but customer services dealt with the issue promptly. Overall we had a great weekend and all ten of us enjoyed the stay.
We stayed at mill village for 10 nights, 2 families sharing the cottage. Orion holidays were in touch leading up to our holiday with good communication about the day of arrival and codes for door entry, etc. they also had a great app about the area, restaurants, places to visit. The property was very clean, and mid stay we were offered a complete change of bedding and towels too. A door handle came off the dishwasher and they sorted it the day we were in touch. Booked the property for a family Christmas and whilst some aspects were a little tired the property did not disappoint. Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and the hot tub proved to be a big hit, especially on Christmas day. We all agreed we would definitely return!
Overall, we had a lovely Easter Break. The lake view was very relaxing and location was good as we drove to visit Cotswolds villages. There are plenty of parking within the area so would recommend to big family/group. The property is well maintained and staffs are very accommodating and tennis court are extra bonus. However, we were not able to book for kayaks and fishing so will definitely do it in advance in our next stay.
Our stay at Mill Village 75 was nothing short of perfect. Nestled on the largest lake within the Lower Mill Estate, this charming cottage offered the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. The location couldn't have been better—our teenagers had a fantastic time with easy access to the lake for water sports, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. We have stayed there before, so we knew what to expect. We were happy with the standard of the accomodation and we will be returning in 2025
Great location, house position on lake was excellent. House well equipped with everything we needed for a family break, kitchen well stocked, bedding & towels very good. Negatives, soft furnishings very tired, cushions! carpets! Out door furniture seats & cushions need replacing, stained & damp. Complex was very nice, outdoor heated pool brilliant, dinner at Balihoo. Lots for the children 9,12 years old. We all enjoyed a lovely break.
The accommodation is well located, right next to the lake. It has all of the mod cons, two fridge, dishwasher and a washing machine. The interior is a little tired and could do with some updating and if there are more than six people, it is a bit of a squeeze trying to fit on the two sofa in the lounge.
Lovely break, property was good with enough to please two young children. We had a great time but I do feel it was expensive for just a two night stay outside of school holidays. It suited us because of proximity to our home and the outdoor pool but I think it was expensive for just two nights
The property was in need of some TLC. There were no curtains in the main living area, which made it very difficult when it was sunny, there was no way to keep the room cool and you could not watch TV. The flooring by the folding doors is lifting, which could cause an issue soon. The bed in the main bedroom was not very comfortable, the mattress sunk below the edge of the bed when you sat on it. There was no first aid box, as described in the book in the accommodation. There appeared to be a lack of instruction manuals, so it was difficult to use the equipment, it was all a bit of guess work...more
