A fantastic return visit to Flowery Dell. Family break away with the pups in this slice of heaven. Such a great location for so much, and the best place for switching off. Local exploration of Richmond, York, the Dales, Hudswell, Catterick, and thr lodge itself the perfect tonic to reset and relax inbetween. Can never fault this place, from communication and the helpful staff on reception, to the staff always on hand if any issues (which there were none!). Fantastic, and went far too quick. Highly recommended.

Our third annual visit to this idyllic spot our grandchildren love the freedom and the animals we older lot enjoy the hot tub and the peace and tranquility and the closeness of the beautiful dales,to stay in Floewry Dell is not cheap but it is worth every penny of the charge, hopefully we will all be back next year!.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed, we received a lovely welcome hamper and there was even one for our dog . The location is so peaceful with lots of great walks nearby. There’s a lovely pub about 10 minutes walk and Richmond and catterick are a short drive away. This is our second visit here we’ll definitely be returning.

We came to Flowery Dell with our 2 teens (aged 18 and 16) after a busy year of exams. The holiday was just what we needed - lovely surroundings, near to Richmond and a Lodge that had everything we needed.
A lovely touch when we arrived to a hamper for our wedding anniversary and even a welcome pack for our pooch too. Relaxing evenings in the hot tub and a great time had by us all. Thank you.

A lovely lodge in a peaceful location close to the town of Richmond which has a good selection of shops and places to eat.

We have been a number of times and will be returning in November. Always a peaceful break away. The family on site are very helpful and resolved and issue with the bbq.

Fab lodge amazing hot tub, lovely well kept site nr to Richmond, on arrival we had no heating or hot water. But the owners immediately came to fix the problem, they gave us wood to use in log burner until heating was fixed. The only problem with that would have been the safety of a hot fire when we had a young toddler, a fire guard needs to be provided, that's the only suggestion, lovely family run site would definitely return

Upon arrival the staff are very welcoming, very quick check in. Small welcome hamper in the lodge is a nice touch.The lodge itself is clean but very compact. It has three bathrooms but only one has a shower that you can actually stand up in and have the shower above your head, really lacking in headroom, both the upstairs toilets are also lacking in headroom and all the bathroom sinks are unusable as there are glass shelves placed above them and you hit your head on them while trying to wash. I had to use the kitchen sink to wash in a morning. The bed was uncomfortable as the mattress is very poor, it has a mattress topper on but you can still feel the springs through it. The lodge isn’t very well insulated against noise inside or out, you can hear every noise from every room all the time including noises from the bathroom! Creaky doors and floors are not good when others are in bed. The hand rail on the stairs is unusable on the top half as it is touching the wall and you can’t hold on to it, this was a big problem for me due to mobility issues. WiFi is quite slow. The kids loved the hot tub, always very hot, nice location, and as mentioned before the staff are excellent. Overall a nice break with the family but for the price I would expect it to be perfect. Sorry for the negative feedback but if they don’t know, they can’t fix it.
