Welcome to our collection of five star self catering luxury Dorset cottages; four of which boast stunning locations on the UNESCO world heritage Jurassic Coast, close to the pretty village of Abbotsbury and one nestled in the picturesque village of Melbury Osmond, deep in Hardy's Wessex. All our cottages have WiFi, flat screen TVs, dishwashers, range cookers, American fridge/freezers, Tassimo machines, washing machines, tumble dryers, private off road parking, private gardens and very comfortable beds with high quality Egyptian cotton sheets and goose feather and down duvets and pillows. We also welcome dogs, by arrangement.
A lovingly restored barn conversion to a very high standard. Plenty of room for all the family to do things both together & apart if they wish, We were staying there as 8 adults & one youngster in February - the very large enclosed courtyard / garden plus all the available outside amenities must make this a beautiful location in the summer months too, The property is set in such a stunning location with everything you need close at hand - especially the lovely quaint shops and cafes of very nearby Abbotsbury with the local store & pub just a stones throw away! Barn was well appointed and tastefully decorated. There were some minor issues with cleanliness and TV reception but overall we loved the barn and would stay again. Unfortunately we stayed during a particularly wet week thanks to Storm Dennis but managed to see a lot of the area without getting too wet and it was always nice to come back to a cosy Barn.
We have stayed here before and enjoy the comfort of the Barn and peacefulness of the village. It is close to many of Dorset’s attractions as well as being a pleasant walk away from the Acorn Inn at Evershot.
The Barn comfortably accommodates up to 5 people and is well equipped. The welcome bottle of wine, biscuits, and milk is appreciated.
We really like it here and will be coming back.
We added an extra day to our week and loved the grain store. Sufficiently in the countryside but near enough to main roads for good connections. A lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. It had the Largest of the 3 gardens for our dog and there are plenty of walks nearby. Walk up the Hill to the ridge and the views are spectacular.
The large hamper was a lovely bonus.
I just wish it had that log burner to finish it off.
Can’t wait to come back again.
Very nice property and well equipped. Only drawback was that we had to have the heating on most of the time to keep the place warm. I don't think the heating was working that well when we were there end October - as the radiators did not seem to get that warm.
But this did not spoil a lovely week there although the owners may want to look at this.
