Heritage Cottage is a charming holiday home located in a quiet road in Walmer, and a short walk to the beautiful stretch of pebble beach that stretches as far as Sandwich Bay in one direction or White Cliffs of Dover in the other. Stylishly decorated throughout, the house has a large and inviting sitting room with doors through to the dining room – perfect for socialising and relaxing with friends and family. The enclosed pretty garden has two seating areas positioned to catch the sun. Upstairs there are three lovely bedrooms and a bathroom. Heritage Cottage is the ideal base to enjoy the attractions and history of Deal and Walmer, the two castles, the long promenade, and the delightful conservation area with its boutique shops and artisan cafes.

Unfortunately the property was a bit tired and was not as clean and comfortable as we had hoped. The location was good and was within easy reach of everything we wanted.

Nice place to stay, very comfortable beds and spacious accommodation. A bonus to be able to park in the street without too much hassle.
The garden area could do with a little attention, the table and chairs looked past their best and needed a clean, an old satellite dish left in the corner! The kitchen door to the garden looks rickety, not very sturdy,
Overall though a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

Some nice features, but needs a bit of attention to a few little things

The space was good. Great dining table to sit round for meals and games, though more than one dining chair needs fixing as seats are not attached to back legs. Nice to have the kitchen table with garden view for breakfast. Bolt for bathroom lock was missing the bit you hold, so a bit of a fiddle to use. No hot water in the bathroom basin as pressure not enough to trigger the boiler. Back door felt very insecure as dead lock wouldn't work. Could do with instructions for coffee machine, so didn't use it. Cutlery drawer a faff to open - we just left cutlery tray on worktop, and stuff in the top of the dishwasher always came out with gritty slime all over it no matter what program we used. Could do with more mugs so that you're not washing up every time you want a drink. Parking was a bit tricky on a couple of days. For five guests, a slightly longer sofa or another armchair would be more comfortable for a week's stay. Overall, we came away with the general impression that it needed a bit of attention here and there. But, positively, a useful corner shop nearby, and lots to do in the area. Walmer Castle is lovely. Dover Castle also great and some nice cafes etc in Deal.

Cottage was a great size for a family of 4 (two children under 3). Good location. Overall look of the cottage was nice. Note the tv isn’t smart - which wasn’t a massive issue but would have been nice. Beds aren’t particularly comfortable - esp in the twin rooms.
