Perfect for me and the kids - everything was great. Living spaces very homely and kitchen amazing. Will definitely be back. Thank you
The arrival and parking arrangements were clearly explained and trouble-free. We were warned about the non-functioning dishwasher but I'm sure that's now been fixed. The house is amazing and was perfect for our group (3 couples). Although old and characterful, it has been superbly brought up to modern standards of comfort and convenience (provided you're OK with a four-storey layout and quite narrow and steep stairs). There were several great walks, both into town and along the coast, either from the front door, or with a short drive. There was plenty more to do that we just didn't get ...more
Very comfortable, well located for centre of town. We had a lovely stay there and wish it could have been longer.
The house is charming, bright and fresh with a well equipped kitchen and thoughtful bottle of Cremant left for us. We were a party of 5 and it felt easily spacious enough for a few days. The kitchen is well equipped and we made lunch and breakfast for ourselves each day. The courtyard garden is sheltered and was a lovely place to read when the weather was a bit crummy on the seafront. We walked in to Deal a few times and had only very good experiences with the restaurants. It wasnt luxury (that wasnt what I was looking for) but very comfortable, clean, perfectly decorated and excellent value....more
Lovely spacious accommodation for a nice getaway to Ramsgate. Very child friendly which made it very convenient. Walkable to the beach and the shops and even the little park out front was nice to have. Would recommend and would stay again if we return to the area.
This was perfect for our half term holiday with our kids - age 3 and 8. There was a heatwave but the house stayed nice and cool. The house is right on the beach and there is a convenient cycle path to get into Deal and beyond to Sandwich bay too. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking all our meals in it. The bedrooms are comfortable and everything felt new. The dedicated parking space was a bonus though it can be very tight to get in and out when people park on the road on either side of the gate.
We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our mud week break in Deal. Valentine's House was just perfect. Stairs were very steep.
The apartment is exactly as described. It is in the perfect location on Harbour Street and has everything you need for an enjoyable, relaxing stay.
We enjoyed out stay at the Nook, Clean with some nice touches No issues Would recommend Private and quiet Easy access to the property Would return
A delightful and restful holiday cottage with spectacular views and extremely welcoming and helpful owners.
Although our stay was short, we were completely satisfied with our cheerful, clean and comfortable apartment. We will certainly book again and have no hesitation in recommending Keepers Cottages.
Such a beautiful holiday house. Very well equipped and comfortable.very spacious and well furnished with lots of toys, puzzles and games.
We had the absolute pleasure of being the first guests at the Tide House, and it did not disappoint! The home is well-equipped and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and exactly as pictured. The host was very responsive. Location is magnificent as it's just far enough from any noise from bars, but minutes walk to the lovely beaches Viking Bay and Stone Bay, as well as restaurants and shops. There are blackout curtains and comfortable beds. There is off-street parking, a dining table in the lounge that comfortably sits 8, and a delightful courtyard to have meals outside. If you have a child ...more
We chose Raspberry cottage based upon using the location as a base to visit the many areas of local interest we wanted to visit in this part of Kent. A place in the country that would be quiet with a space outside to relax in and far fetching views from the property (for a detox from London) we found it perfect for our needs. The dining area outside was great for early breakfasts and evening meals, there is a good well stocked Farm Shop nearby, plus a site down the lane that produced their own ice-cream - recommended. The kitchen facilities & utensils has everything needed to create a good ...more
Lovely cottage, 5 minutes from sea and town. Good parking. Everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
We had a wonderful family few days at this lovely house, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Deal High Street is lovely with lots of independent shops and cafes and a great Saturday market opposite the house. Parking in surrounding roads was easy. Lots to do and see we will surely be back
Had a great week, amazing weather. Great house and back garden. Deal is great destination, good pubs and especially bars.
The Drift in Deal is a gorgeous property. It is beautifully furnished and provided so many lovely touches. I was very impressed with it all. We enjoyed a few days in this property which is centrally located and an easy walk into Deal. I also would praise the staff at Head Office. There was a problem with one of the door keys. This was dealt with very quickly and communication was excellent. Thank you.
Lovely Clean Lodge With All Facilities Excellent Helpful Hosts Fantastic View Of The River Stour With The Wildlife From The Lodge Window Very Peaceful Location Excellent Bus Service Of Fifteen Minutes Into Canterbury Shopping And Restaurants Local Grocery Store Ten Minutes From Lodge
Had a great trip with 5 friends for my 60th Birthday. Beautiful house with great bar overlooking the beach. Good location for restaurants and local attractions.
We are a multi generational family of 7, with ages from 24 to 96. The house was perfect for our family get together – lovely bedrooms, great communal living spaces and a stunning view out over the cliffs to the channel beyond. The Kitchen was perfect for family meals and, given most of the rooms were on one level, it was perfect for my 96 year old Father in Law to move around. He spent much of his time with binoculars or book in the conservatory area. The rest of us explored the fabulous historical towns and beachside and cliff views. Great walking straight from the house, or lovely drives to...more
I had a lovely short stay at this perfectly formed little house. It has been beautifully renovated and had everything I needed. As I was there in early March, I made good use of the woodburner! Customer Service was perfect too.
We were a family group of three generations celebrating a birthday. Warwick house was perfect for our needs, situated close to the pretty coastal path leading to Deal in one direction and Kingsdown in the other. It is situated on a quiet residential street opposite a large green space. The house itself is elegant with large well proportioned rooms and is tastefully decorated and furnished. There are plenty of parking spaces in the street. We all like walking and we enjoyed visiting nearby Walmer Castle and gardens and of course Deal with its individual shops, bars, restaurants and vibrant Satu...more
This was the perfect place for a family holiday. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the beds! We all had a great time.
I've stayed in many cottages over the years and Fishermans Cottage in Deal is probably the best! The owners haven't missed a single thing. Everything from the decor to the kitchen utensils and the cleanliness and comfort has been met and surpassed. I will be staying again. Thank you.
Excellent stay with first class service from the team at Keepers Cottages thank you for all your professionalism
Clean, comfortable and cosy! Slight negatives: No potato peeler or bread knife, as we are foodies and like cooking. Also all three of us staying were over 70 years of age, and hauling ourselves up the stairs by rope came as quite a shock! Nevertheless we each summoned our inner Edmund Hillary and gallantly struggled up. We loved the downstairs toilet though. Sooo wanted to take it home! Last but not least, the location was perfect. Had some good walks in between the showers.
Saltwater Cottage is situated in the very atmospheric and historical streets of Deal. A hop and a skip from the High Street, with gorgeous indie shops and a thriving Saturday market, we fell in love with the town and this wonderful, stylish, and immaculate cottage. On 3 levels, the stairs are steep but the character is all there with the beautiful furnishings and artworks. The bedrooms are super comfortable, the bathroom is huge with a gorgeous freestanding bath and lush toiletries for guests to use, and the kitchen diner downstairs is a great place to hang out. The quality of everything was a...more
Loved this chalet! Even better than in the pics. Comfortable, homely, all the cooking bits etc you need. Recommend and plan to go back at some point. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Great location for exploring Sandwich. Well equipped kitchen and cottage very cosy especially with the lovely fire when it got chilly
We had a brilliant time at The Granary - the accommodation was superb, just as pictured. The location was idyllic with walks from the doorstep. So much to do in the area! Our hosts were fabulous - very friendly and knowledgeable, and the marmalade and fresh herbs went down a treat! Would definitely recommend
An exceptional find. The garden was something out of a film… The secret garden! Lots of different places to sit and a nice touch the sauna and hot tub, plus always somewhere different to sit out admiring the views and just chilling. I always take certain kitchen and bathroom ‘stuff’ but didn’t need to as everything there and some. Very slight criticism would like black out blinds to the roof light windows and the last bit of the drive on uneven road was a bit of a pain (which appreciate nothing can be done about that) BUT that will definitely not stop us coming back again. Had a brief chat wit...more
Lavender Apartment is immaculate and designed to a very high standard. There's a great little café opposite, and the beach is only a couple streets away. We were visiting family in East Kent and would difinitely stay at Lavander Apartment again in the future.
Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend. Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.
I cannot thank the staff enough for their support and attention for our recent weekend break. Nothing was too much trouble and the care offered to myself and my party when one of our party was taken down unwell was exceptional. This was the second time we have stayed at Cherry Barn and I will most definitely be booking for another return visit. The weekend was the perfect R&R that we all needed.
The cottage was very spacious and comfortable for our family, which consisted of 8 spread over 3 generations. There were 2 playrooms which were enjoyed by the grandchildren, plus a very large garden for them to run around in and explore. Also, there were other play things in the outdoor shed including a paddling pool which was great for them to use in the very hot weather we had during our week's stay. Inside there was a children's room with ceiling lights and walls covered in an undersea mural. The children, and adults, loved it. Nearby there was a fantastic farm shop, Gibson's Farm Shop...more
We very much enjoyed our three night stay at The Pink House and thought the house was lovely and nicely decorated. There were a couple of minor issues and we were disappointed the cleaners had not emptied the bins on our arrival but overall a great stay.
Lovely comfortable cottage. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Will definitely book again!
This is a great modern apartment with lovely new furniture, fixtures and fittings, very good kitchenware, comfortable bed, good bedding and towels and plenty of hot water. There’s a great view of the Timeball on the seafront and it’s less than a ten minute walk to the centre of town and another few minutes to the beach. There are two supermarkets nearby plus a great fishmonger, a butcher and deli in town plus the Saturday market for self catering needs. We loved it here and plan to stay again despite the apartment being three floors up with no lift. Undercover parking was a bonus. Highly recom...more
We enjoyed a lovely few days here over Christmas as it’s the ideal location for us to be near family who live nearby. St Mary’s is in a peaceful village with the benefit of a beautiful and large garden for our dogs. The house is spacious with an extremely well stocked kitchen and lots of storage space in all the bedrooms. Everything was immaculately clean and well looked after. The TV is on the small side so bear this in mind if you’re big telly watchers. We had delicious meals at both village pubs, which are an easy walk away. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again next time we’re...more
The cottage is lovely. It has everything we needed. The close proximity to the beach was wonderful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and stylish. We have a dog and it was great for her. The Zetland Arms is a great place for food and drink. Good access to the White Cliffs Area. Thank you for a great stay.
We had a lovely weekend stay at Tell Tale Cottage. Cottage is in the best location. Very handy just wandering up the road with my morning cuppa and watching the world go by by the beach. Weather wasn’t ideal one day but cottage was cosy enough to enjoy listening to the rain while reading our books. Deal, as always, a little pocket of joy. And we lucked out being there during the Deal Open Studios art weekend. We will be back. We did have a slight problem getting in to the cottage on our arrival night. The bottom lock just wouldn’t open. We were getting worried. It was late and we couldn’...more
We had a fabulous New Year with family and friends at Downs Cottage. The house is stunning and its location right next to the beach made our stay really special. We absolutely loved the open plan kitchen / lounge area, a perfect place to host a gathering of family and friends.
Incredible place to stay. So well equipped, immaculate and thoughtful, lovely welcoming touches. The location directly on the beach is beyond compare and the history of the houses and its location add so much to the charm. Thank you
Beautiful apartment, very well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely theme of books/printing and stylishly designed.
The Stable has been converted into a lovely place to stay. Everything has been done to a very high standard and there is attention to detail throughout. The welcome pack containing local produce, including homemade bread and honey was no exception. Lisa and George were welcoming and informative.
Perfect well equipped cottage for four people and a dog ....spacious living area, ligh, clean and airy and a tranquil garden, a stones throw from the beach and all local facilities, added bonus of exclusive use of beach hut and kayak - we loved our stay!
We had to change our booking from the Pink House to Dexters at last minute because of building noise next door. We’ve stayed at Dexters many times in the past but had forgotten how steep and awkward the stairs are for people now in their late 70s. The house is great but won’t be staying there again!!
The location in the narrow streets of Deal is very charming and despite the narrow streets, access by car to load/unload was never difficult and free parking was really not far away (on the seafront). The property was well-maintained and the furnishings comfortable. Happy to recommend!
Everything was perfect! Great sea views and apartment very clean and well equiped. Free parking in surrounding streets. I would definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Riley Cottage in Middle Street in Deal. The house is immaculately finished yet retains the character of the property and the conservation area. Unlike some properties in the area, the stairs were wide and not steep, with some turns but easy to navigate. The courtyard was small but very cute and sunny. We did think the cottage could do with a little bit of artwork to add some personality but that’s just our personal preference and the minimal decor did really let the quality of the cottage shine. We would love to stay at Riley Cottage a...more
We had a lovely stay at Pier View. It was very convenient and central and had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. The window seat overlooking the sea was very special. We would definitely recommend it to others.
A lovely house in a great location. Close to Old Town, New Town, Railway station and shops. Lots of restaurants nearby too.
Lovely cottage in a perfect spot. I struggled personally due to low water pressure bathroom and food waste handling but might not matter to others
We have stayed at Claires Cottage a number of times. It's a lovely place to stay, with a pretty cottage garden to come back to after days out. Hythe is a great town and to stay and easy to find somewhere to visit.
Villa Vita is a great house, spacious, comfortable, warm and welcoming. The location is super, a few steps to the independent shops and cafes at the north end of the high street and just 3 minutes to the beach. All the major shops within 5 minutes walk. We look forward to a return visit.
Lovely comfortable house. Well equipped, precise information. We had a wonderful week here in Deal.
A slightly unusual arrangement in the back garden of the owners house but this is not in any way detrimental to the accommodation provided. The Blue Lodge has been tastefully executed and offers a great space with everything you need. The layout is spacious with large size rooms which is excellent for families or couples. Parking is a real bonus. The location is great for exploring and is ideally situated in proximity to amenities. The owners are very respectful of your privacy and this is also a great place for your dog to come along too. Literally 5 mins walk is an amazing little ...more
We had a wonderful stay at Ravenscourt. The house is beautifully decorated and very spacious (we were 8 adults and a baby). The location is great - just a few minutes stroll from the beach and the Old Neptune pub. And we very much appreciated how family friendly it was - with a high chair, cot, games etc. If we could change anything, it would be a few more pots and pans in the kitchen to make self catering a bit easier! We would love to come back sometime - this place will be our first choice whenever we are in Whitstable.
What an amazing find we’ve stayed in whitstable so many times but this is the best Airbnb without a shadow of doubt. Designed beautifully, the most comfortable beds, proper duvets just wonderful throughout. Only thing missing was a bed washing machine and Sunbed.
We had a lovely 2 nights at Tally Ho cottage. It is well positioned between the sea and high St. It has a well equipped kitchen and 2 good bathrooms. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the house property and the kitchen outside space.
Stone Hall Farmhouse is a beautiful and incredibly well equipped house which was perfect for our multi-generational group of six adults, two teenagers, two children and a dog who came together from three different countries. We had a glorious heatwave week and were able to eat every meal outside on the terrace! We all loved the large grounds, the tennis court, the basketball net and the space to play cricket and football too! Everything we could possibly have needed had been thought of and was available. we were all sad to leave at the end of the week. Keepers Cottages were professional and ...more
Lovely house. Surprising heat gain, especially in the children’s bedroom for what is in effect a new build architect designed home. It wasn’t even especially warm weather during our stay. Everything else was first class.
The Bay is a conveniently located flat, a short walk from buses and shops. We travelled by train and it's a relatively easy walk to the property. From there it's a similar walk, but with some steep bits, to the harbour which is a spectacularly good restoration of the old harbour station and where there's plenty of choice for food and drink. There's plenty to see in Folkestone, but the buses are nearby for trips along the coast. The heating has been made very easy to control and the kitchen is well equipped.
Location Fantastic!!. Very comfortable stay , warm and many facilities . Lots of home touches. We have a dog, the walks were enjoyable She was made very welcome in all shops and eating places. Had Christmas Lunch at the Pearson Arms which we would highly recommend . Parking, you cannot park outside for more than an hour ( if you can find a space) however you park for free within a five-ten minute walk.Nelson Rd , Marsh Wall Lane are nearest. Be aware no microwave?, and hanging space in some bedrooms limited. In summary very memorable stay, and hopefully will visit Whitstable soon
Great location , beautiful decor . Bright and airy . I love the little things that you rarely get . For instance , a key box by front door . Soap in every bathroom along with dishwasher tabs , enough mugs and glasses etc . Kitchen roll and foil . I know a lot of people don’t bother even if they are provided but coasters for the tables to keep nice . ( I can’t put a mug or glass down without a mat ) thinking of these things goes a long way of reminding guests if they want a well looked after holiday home to stay in then everyone has to do their bit to keep them nice .
Good location. (+Great coffee shop almost next door). Excellent property (apart from a couple of loose door handles). Lovely clean house.
The third year we've stayed here, a beautiful, comfortable apartment overlooking the sea. Hope we can book there again next year!
Great location by the sea with lovely restaurants nearby. Cosy and comfortable house and beautifully decorated. Great having downstairs bedroom and bathroom but not easy for people with limited mobility! Keepers cottage company very responsive and super friendly.
Bowden Lodge was the perfect property for our family get together of four generations. Having a downstairs bedroom with en suite and easy access to the living room and games room which in turn had easy access to the wonderful garden was ideal for our 96 year old great Nan The enormous garden was enjoyed by everyone for ball games, sitting and chatting and barbecuing in the evening. We had fantastic weather which was a bonus. Short walk to the beach and local pubs meant driving could be kept to a minimum. Highly recommend and would love to return when the pool is in use.
We stay in Deal often - this was one of the very nicest cottages we have come across. The stairs to the top floor are extremely steep so something to bear in mind!
We had a wonderful time at Penshurst house. It was a great location and super clean and stylish. Great to unwind in the cinema snug basement at the end of the day! Highly recommend!
Peacock & Pebble cottage was ideally situated and just a short walk away from all the shops and amenities. Very clean and comfortable. The only issue was no hairdryer, however I managed and embraced my curls. We would be more than happy to stay again.
Lovely stay at Woodmans cottage. Very comfortable, clean and beautiful gardens. Very well equipped, every need catered for. Beds super comfortable! Secure garden for dogs, good walk at victory woods - 3 minute drive. Lovely host too! Thank you
A very nice house, well situated close to all the fun stuff in Folkestone. I was concerned before we went that it might be noisy at night from bars and clubs, but in fact it was totally fine and quiet. Even the cars on the road outside are quite quiet from the front bedroom, which is right at the top of the house. Keepers are brilliant to deal with, e.g. I couldn't find the heating controls, but they talked me through it right away on the phone without delay or fuss. Folkestone has so much going for it, whether you're coming for a weekend or longer.
18 people from 2 families over 3 generations + dogs. We had a wonderful time. The weather was brilliant allowing us to make full use of the outdoor facilities. It was a lovely surprise to find the tennis court had been mown and the lines painted - it was well used. The huge trampoline was also well used. The garden was immaculate but with interesting nooks and crannies. The fencing was secure enabling us to let the dogs to run freely. We found the Keepers Cottages staff very friendly and helpful (and on the end of the phone when needed) and we would certainly trust them to provide...more
The property was totally satisfactory. We had a few issues with operating the heating system when we arrived in winter and it took a few days to get help with regulating it, but after that, system worked well. The location is great for pedestrians, close to the beach and also to shops. Nicely decorated cottage, and stairs are good. The TV was not a smart TV as far as we knew, so we had limited streaming. Kitchen well equipped and a larger fry pan was provided when we asked for one. A new hose also provided but we never figured out how to attach and use it.
The George is ideally located for our needs during our stay in Deal each Spring. Ample parking provision for several vehicles in secure surrounds. The only issue with the key fobs to access the gates and the house is there aren't enough of them. An additional set or two would be helpful. On saying this, this is our only gripe. The house is always presented well, it's clean, tidy and welcoming with a basket of goodies and other provisions laid out on arrival. The rooms are spacious and comfortable throughout and the garden areas are great for entertaining on a nice warm evening. A place well wo...more
A superb property located in the heart of Deal a d yet very, very quiet. Ideal for my working trip bit will definitely return here for a break so e time soon. Keepers team also resolved my minor question in no time at all. All in all, an exemplorary place to stay and service from the Keepers management team Thank you and see you soon!!
This property was rented for a long weekend for our young family with a couple of small children. staying for a family celebration. They had a wonderful stay and they loved this property location and how well maintained and bright the rooms are. No issues getting in a little earlier definitely had a wow factor. Thanks
The cottage was a very comfortable and roomy stay for a family of 5, where a quite space if needed could be enjoyed. Little touches of welcome were most appreciated and added to our Christmas experience. We very much look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Excellent property in good condition and comfortable. Great location for the beach and beach bars/restaurants. 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and station.
Sea view was perfect! Stunning views, great location, comfortable apartment and very funky furniture too. Would absolutely stay here again. Also loved Folkestone and explored the area a lot with walks, beach sauna, live music at the harbour arm, and the lovely silver screen cinema. Fabulous!
Fabulous accommodation, well equipped with lovely rooms. Superb location with breathtaking and atmospheric views of the sea - whatever the weather! Conveniently located next to the Zetland Arms. Attending a family wedding at nearby Ripple Court, so less opportunity to avail ourselves of all the nearby amenities. Highly recommended and sad to leave.
We had a wonderful stay at Rogue Cottage, the location of the cottage is amazing - 30 seconds to the beach and to the town! It was great that there was a baby cot, high chair and huge bucket of children’s toys provide for our little one but I do think there should be the option for stair gates. It is two very steep stair cases which made it pretty dangerous for our toddler. There was also a smell of damp, we think there may be some water leaking when the shower is running. It was a lovely touch that there was chocolates provided and a bottle of French brandy but no milk and no logs...more
Some minor improvements/ additions would elevate the property to the next level. Eg scissors & microwave in kitchen Mirror in bedroom
From the moment we stepped into The Abode, its character and warmth were simply enchanting. The careful restoration of the 15th-century cottage, paired with modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and Sky glass TV made our stay both cosy and convenient. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to my parents place, the Abode is nestled among charming shops and riverside walks, yet surprisingly quiet. Best of all, our dog was welcome. Truly a perfect stay—already planning a return!
We had a fantastic stay at Poplar Farmhouse and Barn. Nine of us met up to celebrate our friendship of over 45 years, and the roomy and comfortable farmhouse and barn met our needs perfectly. We especially loved sitting in the warm, sunny summerhouse while looking out at the garden, and enjoyed the views from the outside benches. The location was perfect for visiting the lovely town of Sandwich, a run out to Deal and a trip to Margate for lunch and to see the Tate. Comfy beds, plenty of food storage options, lots of parking, lovely grounds... all perfect.
Growing up in Walmer, we had often seen this house and its neighbour, and now we had the chance to actually live here for a few days. From the front it doesn't look that big, but it is deciptively large. When not visiting our favourite places in East Kent, we spent most of the time in the huge kitchen-dining room at the back of the house. The location on Wellington Parade is perfect for walks to the Zetland Arms or to Walmer Castle. Sadly, there was a death in the family while we were staying at Downsview, so it meant a lot to us that so many family members were in one place. We would definit...more
The Cow and Cockle is quirky and bijou as stated. We stayed for a week and to be honest it was a bit too small for us having been used to a larger property hence the title of my review. The house is well equipped with everything that we expected and I enjoyed sitting in the courtyard garden except when the pub down the road had a karaoke evening! The location of this proprty is ideal for exploring all of the delights of Deal and handy for shopping. You are literally just round hte corner from the Saturday market and high st. The Corner House. Tranquil. Comfortable. Stylish and well equipped. Excellent beds, and bathroom. Heating and water easy to operate and beautifully hot. A great place to stay.
A unique place to stay. A beautiful rural location with amazing views across the countryside to Pegwell Bay. Every evening we were treated to a spectaculr sunset. The cottage was super clean and the living area was bigger than the photos indicated. Also it was well equipped with the basics like foil and kitchen roll. We often ate in and we had everything we needed to cook. Our visit coincided with very hot weather and it was lovely to enjoy the outside space, eat in the garden and appreciate the peace and quiet. Whilst the lovely owners live next door, it is very private and secluded. Deal and...more
Had a lovely stay at The Barn. Good location for visiting the area. We had two dogs with us and the shared garden worked well, but potentially would have been a problem if another dog had been sharing it that didn’t get on well with ours. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and sofa. Would recommend if visiting Kent
A lovely property in a great Deal location. There is plenty of space having two sitting rooms and a large kitchen diner which gives flexibility for everyone. The property was nice and warm (which in our experience is not always a given for a January break) and I would recommend Ivy House as a good all year round choice for a holiday in Deal.
i came for a long weekend with my two daughters my grandson and 2 dogs so as you can imagine…busy the house was exactly as the photos and very spacious the beds were very comfortable and room enough for your clothes literally minutes from the beech i would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back
This is a fantastic location if you want a peaceful holiday. It’s very dog friendly and there are plenty of places to walk your dog. The staff are very friendly. There are only a few properties to stay at so it’s very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and the dogs did too
I would love to write only superlatives but unfortunately this would not reflect our experience. When I arrived I knew the place wasn't exactly to my taste but one has to be philosophical and fair. The location at least is good, mere moments from the seashore. It was my birthday weekend, a rare treat away after some very challenging months. When we arrived we found no hand soap, cobwebs galore adoring the garden furniture ( garden unmown) and later I realised there were no products provided either, ie shower gel et al. Not deal breakers but surprising in an expensive property. Once repo...more
Potters Cottage is a lovely spacious property in an excellent location. A five minute straight walk from the train station and supermarkets which made it very straightforward getting our shopping before heading to the house for our stay. The house is light and airy and I was impressed with the fact the house has three bathrooms, which is always a plus! The house is situated just behind the high street so a nice close walk to the shops and the sea front. While certain aspects of the house decor could do with a bit of a freshen up, overall it’s a great property to enjoy a stay in Deal!
We stayed here with our daughter, her husband and two grandchildren. We had a wonderful time. The spacious house is very well equiped and thought out, the toys and books were a hit with the grandchildren and made life easier. The house is very well located, near to shops, eateries and the beach. We were sad to leave this beautiful house and all hope to return.
We have nothing but good to say about this place - it was even beter than expected, rooms were spacious, bathrooms really comfy, and the kitchen was inviting and had us enjoy preparing food and eat there as well. Small niggles were the loose drawer with the trash bin. We do highly recommend this place!
We stayed here for a week with family and it was honestly the best house we could’ve wished for. we enjoyed the garden in sunny weather, stayed indoors and cocooned on the couch during rain and loved to play table tennis in the barn. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was also a lovely walk away from the pub and other amenities. In case we go to Kent again with family, we would love to book the Moat Farm House again! It truly felt like home for a week.
The Bothy suited us well. The owner, Chris, was quick to respond and rectify a problem with an alarm. Thank you Chris. Despite knowing that no-one could see in, not having window blinds in the bathroom and ensuite was a little off-putting. Having a receptacle for recyclables in the utility room would be helpful as would a tea caddy in the well equipped kitchen area. All in all we would recommend The Bothy to others and we may return sometime ourselves.
We enjoyed the lovely garden, resplendent with rose bushes in full bloom, and our dog appreciated the outdoor space. The cottage is generally comfortable but could use some upgrades. The carpeting had some stains on the stairs and we were asked to pay for extra cleaning, though we did not feel we were responsible and there was no appropriate equipment for keeping the place clean. The location is excellent for getting to the train and grocery as well as just a short walk from the High Street and a couple more blocks to the sea.
Fantastic location just moments from the beach, shops and cafes. Comfortable beds, lovely little garden and everything in the kitchen that you need. A few decorative repairs needed but didn’t detract from the lovely experience.
Gorgeous house, great location, fab hosts. We will be back! Loved it! From 2 very fulfilled families of 4 x
Really Interesting place. Stylish, high end furnishings and comfortable. Couple of things would make it more welcoming. Lot of dust on lampshades and behind TV. I notice cos allergic. Little things like a bit of tin foil, kitchen paper, couple of herbs and bit of oil would be nice. Washing machine provided but no tablets or clothes horse. Not too much to ask really. Outside space really needs cleaning especially as looking at broken windows of another property. Appreciate, not a lot you can do about that but at least it's quiet apart from kitchen extractor. Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely deck area in the back garden for morning sun, coffee and relaxing. Very close to the beach (3 mins walk) and extensive coastal paths. Great food and drinks can be had at the lovely Zetland Arms.
Schönes Haus mit Charme. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. High Street und Pubs fußläufig erreichbar. Schöner Spaziergang vom Haus aus möglich. Parken problemlos. Eine überdachte Sitzgelegenheit im Garten wäre schön.
Great place to stay for either a family/families or group heading to Kent Golf Coast. Highly recommend.
Excellent location. Good facilities. Parking space a bonus. We are regular visitors and shall return next year. A visit to Zetland Arms is a must
This is a lovely property, about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sandwich. It’s fairly quiet despite being on a local main road and reasonably private although very close to the farmhouse next door which is also a holiday rental. There’s plenty of off-road parking right outside the door. The house is well presented and well equipped. There are good towels and hot water. There is a step down into the bathroom which you need to try and remember, especially in the middle of the night, as well as keeping the sloping ceiling in mind so as not to hit your head when using the upstairs bathroom si...more
Facilities at Noggins were excellent and comfortable. The cottage is close to the beach, and we were lucky to have sunshine throughout our stay, so we didn’t spend much time indoors. There are shops and pubs nearby. Do take note of the comment about the stairs—quite tricky, even for able-bodied people.
Lovely Cottage and a very nice stay. Only issue was there are no bins for recycling - just one wheely bin outside, so we left cardboard beside that and put glass in other people's bins. Otherwise was great.
We had a wonderful three-week stay at Captain's Cottage. The location is perfect - especially for young families or older visitors - with the beach, the castle, the playground, the amenities at Roman Landings and the large supermarkets all on the doorstep. The bedrooms are all generously sized and with two bathrooms and two WCs, it's easy to have some privacy. The property itself is in need of some TLC, but with young children, friends and family all visiting us, it suited us that way. The team at Keeper's Cottages were quick to respond to issues and were always helpful and polite. Thank you f...more
A wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet, and just switching off for a few days with family. Stand in front of the cottage, facing the fields ahead of you, and just listen to the soothing silence, a real change from our city life. Well-positioned for access to plenty of nice beaches, best of which was Ramsgate, less than 30 mins drive.
The apartment is light, well eqipped and quiet. It is in an excellent location, close to the sea front and shops/cafes and about 10 minutes walk to train station. The only slight negative, the bedroom and hallway windows look out onto the bins from the flats - probably not a real issue for most though.
Spent a lovely week at The Hide in Deal. The location was ideal for the beach and the town with a vast choice of good eating places. The house was very well equipped with all you could need and it was very quiet at all times despite being so near to amenities. Would 100% recommend the Hide for a great holiday.
We had a nice 6 days with just a short walk to the harbour and town but parking is difficult so didn’t move our cars at all. Went by bus into Canterbury. Cottage was clean and beds very comfortable and a good bathroom with large walk-in shower. However a few problems arose. Clock needed a battery, no microwave which is vital when on holiday. Kitchen tap completely loose so difficult to use so a plumber needs to be called. No towel in the kitchen or toilet brush in the bathroom. These things were sorted the next day after contacting the company so that was good service. The biggest pro...more
We loved Coop’s Landing. The location was fantastic, so close to the narrow lanes and alleys of Deal’s historic conservation area. Bars, cafes and historic pubs on the doorstep and the sea only a few steps away.
We enjoyed our stay at Little Chart. The cottage is warm and comfortable. It feels like home as it is full of books and art, and the kitchen is well equipped, with dishwasher, microwave and airfryer, as well as range cooker. The courtyard is spacious and a nice place to sit if the sun is out. It is only a few yards go the beach promenade and a flat walk to the pier and restaurants. We visited Walmer castle and St Margarets Bay and enjoyed both. When the kettle broke the team immediately replaced it. Very quick to respond. There is low cold water pressure upstairs, but not a major problem....more
This is a lovely, well equipped spacious apartment. The location is very good but a little let down by the view of some of the surrounding buildings. Our stay was enjoyable apart from the incredibly uncomfortable sofas in the lounge area. This meant that we mainly sat at the dining table, which is not ideal for relaxing! Suggest the owners invest in some new seat cushions as they are clearly beyond their best. Would be happy to return if this was resolved.
we had a great stay here over easter weekend! the house is so cosy and homely. the new green sofas really make such a difference - my family has been renting this cottage for many years in the summer and we love it. the garden so great. loved my daily cold swims, amazing dinner at updown, deal market etc. highly recommend and great communication by keepers cottages. cant wait to come back
We had a wonderful time at Oldestairs. The house is beautiful and full of character and Keepers Cottages made everything extremely easy for us. The beds are really comfy and while it’s an old house everything works well. The location is fantastic, moments from the beach and there is masses to do in the surrounding area.
Very cute cottage in a great location just a few paces from Kingsdown beach. Tastefully decorated and warm but was unfortunately in a rather 'tired' state for our stay. The beds were not of a good standard and the cottage was in need of a deep clean and some 'TLC' fixes. Communication from Keepers Cottages was excellent however.
The house was spacious and comfortable as we were a group of seven including 2young children. Plenty of equipment for everyone. I would have appreciated the area of grass at the back of the house to have been mown before our arrival, it would have made playing on it more comfortable. The freezer of the large fridge in the kitchen was disgusting, fortunately we only used it for a few ice lollies, I don’t think it has ever been cleaned.
Great location, nice and comfortable and lovely small garden to relax in. Perfect place to stay to enjoy Deal!
The property was warm and cosy, kitchen equipment was disappointing. The house could do with some TLC
We really loved the house, surrounding and location of this house. There is plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. We truly can recommend this place for your stay!
The location is perfect. The house is nice and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay there. On sunny days it’s a joy to open up the back of the house. Just a five minute walk from the city center. Very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is practical and has everything you need.
Very pretty and comfortable and on a lovely street handy for the seafront and high st. My twin room had two good-sized beds and didn't remotely feel like a 'kid's room'. The only bad point was that we couldn't get any hot water out of the overhead shower, but we managed with the hand-held one.
We have been comig to Deal for many years now and once again we had a great time. This was our first stay at Blue Skies and it is certainly a perfect cottage for exploring Deal and Kent. The kitchen and dining area are huge and you will find anything you need for preparing whatever meal you fancy. You'll find the three bathrooms / toilets, one on.suite, two with showers, very convenient, too. The three besrooms are equipped with comfy beds and sizewise ok. The living-room is fatastic. Two comfortable sofas and the chairs by the bay-window make it georgeous. The location, Albert Square, is uniq...more
The cottage is well situated and well appointed. It is clean and offers excellent facilities. There are lots of glasses and plates in the kitchen. Strangely enough we could not find a vegetable peeler: it would be good to check the basics are covered. However we are delighted with our stay and would recommend the cottage to family and friends.
Stone’s Throw was a great place to stay for the weekend. The cottage was clean and comfortable and provided us with all we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was super too.
We had a lovely weekend in Undercliffe with kids and grandparents. The garden and beach were perfect for the kids to play and the house was well equipped and comfortable. The team were quick to rectify an issue we had with a lack of cleaning cloths and dropped some round promptly. Thanks!
Fantastisch chalet. Nice view. Very clean. Thank you for the cookies en the warm welcome. The only thing that needs update is the curtains. We will book this chalet again when we want to visit England.
Poppy cottage is pretty, clean, well equipped and very comfy for 2 adults, but 4 adults would be difficult as there is only seating for 2 in the lounge (but plenty of room for 4 adults elsewhere). Good and well equipped kitchen. Not good if you have mobility issues as narrow stairs to get to the property and the main bed is placed directly on the floor so very low and difficult to get in and out of. It’s on a narrow road so parking immediately near the cottage for loading and unloading is tricky too, but we did always find a space within a few minutes walk. Very peaceful, a short walk to t...more
A lovely cottage in a quiet street 3 minutes walk away from all of the bars, restaurants and shops but no noise. A gorgeous garden with climbing roses and the necessary honeysuckle with a table and chairs to enjoy your brekkie or have evening drinks. Lovely comfy, snuggly sofas - as it was the hottest weekend in living history we didn’t need the stove lit but I can imagine….. Bathrooms immaculately clean and both have walk in showers and proper sized towels! Excellent beds with beautiful bedlinen. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen. There’s even a piano! The stairs are steep but the...more
I stayed at the Old Cottage on a week that was a mix of typical British weather. The property is right near the beach and town, so on a sunny day when just heading to the beach or going for a walk the location would be great. However on the days its raining and you want to go explore the area, you may find this is a bit of hassle as the nearest on street parking is over 10 mins walk away or you are willing to pay for a car park and move your car during the day (almost every car park is short stay). The property is comfortable enough, on arrival we had a nice hamper and it had all the accesso...more
We stayed at the oyster cottage in Whitstable which was anvery charming house, well decorated and spacious. Loved the local art all around the house and had everything at hand. Personally I didn’t like the beds, one was too hard and the other one had a pit. Otherwise it would have been perfect.
The location couldn’t have been better right on the beach and next to a fantastic pub but the property lacked in areas. The garden was very tired and covered in weeds. Not a particularly pleasant area to sit out in. Several of the decking boards felt like you could put your foot through them. There was a tap but no outside shower or hose to wash the dogs after being in the sea. Inside was lovely but no standing showers. We had to sit in the free standing bath and use hand held shower to wash or have baths and with two big teenage boys this wasn’t ideal. Would be easy to just put an attachme...more
We had a lovely stay at The Stable. It was warm and clean and had everything we needed all on one level. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and you can get a drink or have something to eat at the golf club.
A small cottage - ideal for couples - very close to the beach and we were able to park outside for free which is a bonus in Deal. On the downside - we felt that the absence of an instruction manual in the house and book explaining about local facilities was disappointing. There is also no shower - with the shower attached to the bath either providing hot or cold water not a mix of both. Overall it was good value for money and provided a nice break by the sea.
Nice enough house, v toasty, can walk into town. However we had cesspit works going while we were there that we weren't told about which was inconvenient for parking and smell issues. More importantly for our holiday with young children we booked this place to have a secure garden for kids to play in. However as workmen were in and out all the time sad game was open kids couldn't play safely outside. It should also be noted there is minimal sight of the garden from the house, despite whats implied by the photos so not v kid friendly at all. Cleanliness was also an issue as there was 1 dish ...more
We really enjoyed our trip to Deal and Elizabeth cottage. The location is excellent- so close to beach and the shops and restaurants. We loved the little streets around historic Deal. The cottage was lovely and cool in the hot weather. We found parking in the area easy- free parking in Sandown Rd and along the front past the rowing club and it was easy to pull outside the cottage to quickly unload or park at the end of the road (beach) on the paid parking for loading at the end. Note the two bedrooms are on different floors (different to the listing). The biggest is at the top, then the othe...more
We arrived with our guide dog puppy, and our delivery van of online shopping to find no message, no keys, no emergency contacts, owners not there to give us keys and explain parking etc as promised and no key press code. Amazingly after several phone calls to Keepers Cottages office we got hold of someone. They had no idea but said they would try to contact the owners. After 15 minutes they called to tell us where to find a key and apologise that the person meeting us had left early. No idea why they didn’t bother to contact us by phone / text / email or leave a note or inform the keepe...more
We liked this old house with its quirky layout and it was handy for all amenities. There was building work going on opposite, which we were pre-warned about. This was a bit disruptive at times, but didn't spoil our stay too much. The house and kitchen was well fitted out generally, but there was a shortage of bedroom storage. There were a few little things that hadn't been fixed eg a broken hook in the main bathroom and missing toothpaste holder, plus the toilet roll holder in the upper bathroom. The living area was comfortable and homely. We also liked the eclectic trappings and pictures sca...more
This is property has the most beautiful location, if you struggle with mobility the three floors maybe an issue. Cute and quirky property though.
Great location but this place is tiny. Set up for a family of four (4 beds) but there isn't even enough room for 4 people to sit around a table for breakfast. And the kitchen area is also tiny and quite impractical. Probs work well for a couple, but we struggled as a family of four (and we are all pretty small!) for four days.
We had a cozy stay at Bertie Cottage. Lovely feel with the fireplace too. The cottage was well equipped. Arrival was a bit unclear, it would be helpful to have the name of the cottage on the back gate, as we arrived late afternoon and it was already dark. The pictures sent beforehand of the street were blurry and unclear (in the end a neighbor needed to help us find it and even she found it difficult to define which it was). The floors squeak a lot and you literally can hear the neighbors talk, but that’s the vibe of an old house. I’d probably get a bit more comfier bed that doesn’t make a sou...more
Beautiful holiday let had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Location was wonderful and cottage was spotless as well as very well equipped.
Excellent location and very quirky building however we found it very noisy (creaky) and the strange layout wasn’t ideal for a family. It would benefit from a deep clean. Overall it was ok for the price but we like a bit more luxury when on holiday.
