This house is right on the seafront at Kingsdown with amazing views from so many rooms in the house d footpaths in three directions from the doorstep. The lounge has large, comfortable sofas, an open fire and great views out. The kitchen is large, very well equipped and a lovely place to gather with another fire place. Bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The only thing I would suggest is better curtains in the downstairs bedroom as there are only very thin currently and this window does overlook other properties and makes it feel uncomfortable at night. The studio was just as good as the first time - and I shall be coming back again. Maybe this time I shall come during the colder months.
We had a great few days at Arthur’s Cottage. It was in such a perfect location and had everything we needed. It was cosy, clean and well equipped. Communication with Keeper’s Cottages was excellent.

The Admiral Penn is the perfect social house for a large group of friends. It has all the amenities to have a really fun stay in Deal. The house is to an incredibly high standard and in the perfect location. Highlights include the basement cinema room and the bar with ice machine/wine cooler/fridge/cocktail shaker that looks out to sea. Check in process and host contact was very easy and efficient too.
Beautiful house. Comfy beds. Well equipped for staying in or going to the beach. Pretty historic location a short walk from the high street and the beach. Made good use of the garden and outhouse too.
Best Holiday letting company I have ever used. Amazing team who are efficient and organised. Could not fault one thing during my 8 day stay.
Lovely cottage & Sarah was a great host. The only thing that let us down was the weather Will definitely book again
A lovely quiet compact place to stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Photos were very accurate.
This was our second time at the Pier View flat and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The flat is perfect in more ways than one - the splendid view, the cosy atmosphere and being so close to the beach and shops made for a great holiday. Would love to come again.
The cottage was in a very convenient location for the wonderful beach, shops and pubs that Deal had to offer. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The team at Keepers were attentive and professional.
Keepers Cottages' staff were extremely helpful in helping me find two properties in close proximity to each other for an extended family stay - not an easy from just looking at websites. The location of the Lavender Apartment was ideal, situated within walking distance of beach and two castles. Well equipped, comfortable and easy free parking across the road, we couldn't ask for more.
Wonderful accommodations totally thrilled with it carnt wait to return beautiful garden everything you could need
A delightful property with excellent amenities and close to Whitstable’s bustling High Street. Very comfortable stay for 4 adults and a toddler.
Lovely house in an ideal location which is close to the sea and the Main Street amenities and shops . We used this as a base for our English Channel swim and it was ideal. Would highly recommend it .
We liked the layout of the kitchen/diner and lounge . The bathroom needed a waste bin and possibly a nonslip mat. A fully fitted kitchen except a microwave-a must these days and not enough pans to make a meal so eat out or takeaways The stairs took us by surprise particularly at night and at 86 we feel that we qualify for membership of the mountain goat club. Ideal for Mum and Dad and two youngsters or four more agile adults R.S.
We had a great time at One the Slipway, we were a party of 7 - 6 adults and a 10 month old and the house was a fantastic size for us all with comfy beds and a great sized living room, with high spec finishes including a massive TV! Location was ideal for exploring the town and the shoreline and the views from 2 of the bedrooms were spectacular. The only thing we would feedback on is that we couldn’t control the heat of the shower on the top floor so all had to share the middle bathroom for the weekend but this wasn’t a problem! Would definitely return to one the slipway
A wonderful cottage in a blissful, quiet rural location near Sandwich. Beautifully set up and impeccably clean. Rarely available, it felt homely and comfortable and the lovely owners, who live next door, were extremely welcoming, unintrusively. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would be delighted to do so again. (Several booking issues but these were resolved satisfactorily.)
We had a lovely stay at The Green House. It was beautifully furnished and the children's toys and books went down well. It is well located for the beach and is a 10/15 minute stroll to the heart of Deal town.
Lovely spacious property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were really comfortable and everywhere clean. Location is really close to the sea front and Deal is a nice quiet seaside town. We would definately stay there again should we go to Kent
Very nicely furnished accommodation in an ideal location overlooking the sea. Short walk into Deal where there are plenty of quaint shops, places to eat and a market at the weekend. The view out to sea makes up for any noise from the road - it is great to just sit and look out of the window at the sea and any activity going on at the Life boat station opposite or to watch the band playing in the bandstand on the green. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Boatman’s Reading Rooms and could happily have stayed longer!
My friends and I had a fantastic stay in Kingsdown at Downs Cottage. Amazing cottage that is both stylish and comfortable, would love to go back. Loved the sound system and the lights, the cooker that steamed our rib of beef and the amazing decor. Managed to swim in the sea for @ 30 seconds then ran back to the house to get warm. Thanks again
We first stayed here in May this year & have just made a very welcome return visit. Peter & Chi are such friendly and welcoming hosts. The property is in a great location within easy walking distance of the town and the parking space is a great bonus in Deal. The property is perfect for our needs and our puppy loves it too. The garden is safe and secure for her and she's very happy here. Will definitely be returning again
What an absolutely perfect holiday- beautiful house, AMAZING location, brilliant service from Keepers Cottages - could not have asked for more!! I would move to Maritime Cottage, Deal in a heartbeat!!
We had a wonderful week, staying at Poplar Farm, with our daughters, and grandchildren, and dogs. The weather wasn’t great, but it didn’t matter. We visited family and lots of local attractions - Wingham Wildlife, The Sandwich Aquapark, and Margate Dreamland. We also visited Sandwich Bay every day with our dogs and Deal too. We also ate out at The George and Dragon, The Toll bridge, and Giovanni’s. All were great. There is plenty to do in the area. Poplar Farm was the perfect place for us. We could walk to family in Sandwich town and to Sandwich Bay. It is in a quiet location, with plenty o...more
Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Cook's Cottage, and we must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This charming abode exceeded all our expectations and provided a truly memorable getaway. The first thing that caught our eye upon entering Cook's Cottage was its lovely design. The interior exuded a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the tasteful décor to the carefully chosen furnishings that perfectly complemented the cottage's character. Cleanl...more
Luxury stay for a large family. Excellent country location. Brilliant facilities for indoor and outdoor entertainment. Tennis court in great shape. Luxury of quooker hot taps and twin dishwashers with loads of kitchen gear made food prep so easy. Hard to fault and we would come again.
We have stayed at Blue Skies before, it's a lovely old house in a great position very close to the both the seafront and the High Street. Very little through traffic adds to the tranquility of the whole area around Middle Street. For tranquility, charm, and convenience Blueskies hits the spot. Free parking all day is not more than 100 m away.
A group of 7 ladies stayed here for our 12th annual walking weekend. This was a really special house, full of character, out of an Agatha Christie story! We cooked in both nights in the well equipped kitchen, ate in the beautiful dining hall and played games in the lounge, with its fabulous wooden panelling. We did a lovely 12 mile walk on the Saturday and some of us swam in the sea a couple of times. The pebbly beach is 2 mins away. A really special place. And the company Keepers Cottages were fantastic from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Brilliant customer service....more
From the warm welcome we received from Rosie, to the comfort and location of the cottage - we had the most wonderful stay. The cottage itself is warm and cosy so is a perfect bolt hole for colder weather. On warmer days the doors can be opened to let the sunshine in! The property has all the general essentials provided and this applies to the kitchen equipment as well. We had everything we needed but you could always bring along anything else you wish to add in some home comforts - we brought some extra throws along! The garden for our dog, was safe and the additional use of the beach hut...more
Firstly thank you, we had a great stay! What a charming house and perfect location. Deal is a spectacular place and so friendly! Only constructive comments are: summer weight duvets are needed for summer. Non slip bath mate for the bathrooms. Thank you!
It would be helpful to let guests know that the one bathroom is downstairs at the back of the property through the dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms are on the 1st floor and 2nd floors and the stairs are quite steep. This wasn't a problem for us. The cottage was cosy and in a fantastic location. The decor is lovely and it has all the facilities needed. The fridge temperature was on the warm side. The electricity tripped twice but we fixed it. It may be connected to the oven? The garden was good to have and has a rear gate to access the pathway to the Beach. We'd recommend the popular Zetl...more
This flat is wonderfully positioned and perfect for good weather and exploring. The downside is no table in the well equipped kitchen which means eating in the elegant little salon if the weather is bad and a very small bathroom. If this doesn't bother you a good choice.
This cottage is an absolute gem. The décor and interior have been done to a really high standard. We had the perfect stay and it was a joy to be in the cottage.
We do love Lighthouse Cottage. It was our fourth stay here. Always comfortable with all equipment thought of and it always feels welcoming. It's in a perfect location in the historical old town. A really lovely place to stay.
An ideal base for visiting the North Kent area with so many resorts within half an hours drive. Convenient for all of Sandwich's amenities with everywhere within walking distance. Eating out was mainly pubs which were very good. The property has a dog proof garden and walks can be had in all directions from the house. The house itself was everything you need in a holiday home being easy to live in.
great location - 5mins walk to the beach. Super clean, spacious enough even for big families with 4 bedrooms. well-kept garden, convenient for Dog owners as the property is fully enclosed, private parking, easy walking doistance to nice takeaways Very friendly owners - fully recommend!
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
We adored every single day of our stay at the cottage which is a very unique and beautiful place. We can highly recommend it.
We had a lovely week in Deal, and fully enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable, quiet and well equipped. It was also spotlessly clean. A short stroll and we were into the town or at the seafront. We thought parking was going to be an issue, but a non-restricted space could be found in a short distance. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Potter's Cottage.
Lovely cottage with all amenities and very nice garden. Great location - close to shops and beach. However the only downside was the on street parking. When we arrived we tried a dozen streets to no avail and ended up parked on double yellow lines. The same applied for the next day, so we ended up paying for parking at the railway station (0.4 miles) for the rest of the week. I would not recommend this property for anyone with mobility issues.
We found the Cottage exactly as shown in the photos and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location was good, walking distance to both Deal and Kingsdown. Should you have a problem then the team at Keeper’s Cottages were easily contactable. We would definitely stay again.
My family and I stayed with Keepers Cottages for the 5th time. Their service just keeps getting better each time! Not that it needed to. Incredibly helpful staff and the house is as immaculate. Deal never disappoints We will be back! Thank you to all at Keepers.
Lovely property with lots of little unexpected extras. Bit pricey but that’s Deal for you! Would come again.
away from the busiest part of Deal but it's a short walk into town with a wide selection of shops and cafes.
We have stayed at Bowden Lodge 5 times over recent years and every time we have been delighted with our stay. The house is beautifully maintained, well equipped and can easily accommodated a large family group. The playroom and the heated pool are a particular hit with the kids. The large outdoor space is also a huge plus. Thank you for another lovely stay, we'll be back!
Lovely cottage in Deal, close to all amenities. Cottage has everything you need, and is very clean and tidy.
Very clean. Amazing. Exactly as described. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!! Great communication!
Hired the Barn for a 50th birthday celebration, it was the perfect setting. The accommodation is luxurious, modern, spotlessly clean and with all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. I would highly recommend this property.
Amazing location in the heart of Deal, lovely cosy property, quiet and comfortable, loved the kitchen/dining room especially
We had a lovely time in Deal. Thought the cottage was a bit pricey. The pictures made it look a bit more sumptuous than it actually was but I guess some of that is down to personal taste.
We stayed 16 nights in the Hoop and Griffin, ideally located adjacent the beach and edge of the Old Town. The property is has many fine attributes ( additional first floor lounge / rear roof sun terrace / large dining room / external courtyard / side storage area / well laid out kitchen / farm house split doors. The photos offer a true representation of the property. We had family stay with us during the weekends and indeed was very spacious. Would definitely return.
I’ve had a 50th birthday celebration to remember at this property! It’s absolutely stunning with the sea view, window seat, balcony and hot tub - a place to just sit and relax. The house is really well supplied with kitchen equipment and the bedrooms are comfy and smart. (For those with small children I noticed a stairgate has been installed, but it’s worth considering that the communal area floors are granite tile which little ones could slip on.) Our kids loved the double recliner function on the sofa! For my part, I gazed at the sea with a glass of bubbly and sailed into my next decade very...more
After initial access issues, we were given the wrong key code, the flat proved to be almost idea. Excellent kitchen, a microwave would be nice though, and very comfortable throughout. Parking might be a problem in high season though.
Sandy Villa has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the peace and quiet or relish in family meals together with the lovely kitchen and dining area all in one space and the football table was a great addition and gave us much entertainment. Our family group was made up of 3 generations - Grandparents, Mum and Dad and 3 children. All enjoyed the comfortable beds and en-suite facilities. Fantastic views from the top floor of the beach and tennis courts! Good selection of shops/restaurants/cafes/bistros all within easy walking distance from the Villa. Favourite eating place was Millie’s on ...more
Great communication from the team at Keepers Cottages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of Deal with our greyhound. Visited many times before and this property is right in the heart of town with bars, restaurants, and the beach within a few minutes walk. Perfect for our dog with a secure, fully enclosed rear garden and the high street is just at the bottom of the road. Comfortable and warm with well equipped kitchen and upstairs and downstairs w.c. Parking is always at a premium but we managed easily between street parking across the road and parking on the sea front. A great place ...more
We had a lovely long weekend at The Captains Cottage. The location is good for both Deal and Walmer. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Wifi good enough to do some work zoom meetings while there.
We booked the little house as an alternative to living in a hotel for a week as a base to see family and friends in the UK and have to say we were not at all disappointed. This place is a Tardis Spotless and very modern, it had everything we needed and was minutes from several little stores and Deal town centre and sea front. We will certainly use this house again on our next trip to the UK and it has changed our previous norm of always staying in hotels on vacations in the past Thanks very much Keepers Cottages Team!
This was our third visit in about 6 months,I think that says it all. Unfortunately the weather a bit hit and miss this time but we still had a nice comfortable stay
We travelled to Sandwich to visit with my dad's family we haven't seen in years. The cottage was big enough to hold us all. The garden was lovely and big for the kids to play and you can watch the sunset through the trees in the back garden. I'd say the house, being so old, was charming but definitely not designed for anyone over 5'7" as there were many bumped heads on doorways during our stay. We tried to duck as much as possible but sometimes we forgot. The road leading into the property was very tight, we had larger vehicles with us and it was a little scary taking them along on that...more
We had the best time at Number 3 in Margate and will definitely be back. The apartment is much bigger than the photos suggest and the property is fitted out very tastefully. Extremely comfy beds and all the appliances you could need in the kitchen. There was a snag with check in where we had been sent the incorrect key code for picking up the key which meant it took about an hour for us to get in the property after arriving. This was not ideal with a small tired baby in tow, but the Keepers team called me back after about 15 minutes of me phoning and eventually sent the correct code. Also, ...more
17 Farrier Street is in a brilliant location, close to both beach and High Street. The house is very comfortable, homely but stylish, and the owner provides some nice welcoming touches like a lovely bottle of wine and upmarket toiletries in all the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed while we were waiting to move into our new house nearby. It is a lovely cottage- a bit challenging (stairs) for people with mobility issues. Very well situated for shops, pubs, restaurants and the sea. The beds - mattress and pillows- were a bit soft for our taste. An issue with the heating was quickly & efficiently sorted out.
We had a very enjoyable holiday at The Heights and found it a well set up house. My one small criticism is the convenience of watching the TV. There is not enough space in front of the TV with one person looking at it from the left side.
We had a fantastic stay at Angela’s Cottage. It has been beautifully updated and furnished with high quality furniture, fittings and fully equipped kitchen. The fact you look out over very well kept allotments gave it an open, light outlook. We had no trouble parking although we were out of season. Walmer is a great location as you are close to everything you need without being in Deal centre.
We’ve been several times to Rum bosun and it never disappoints - lovely cottage in an idyllic location
Fantastic location. Comfortable bed and sofa. Kitchen and bathroom quite dark.Dishwasher unfortunately was not working Holidaying on my own I felt rather insulted to be deemed worthy of only a single glass sized bottle of wine. I am sure a couple would have been left a whole bottle, and I have paid the same amount of money for the cottage as a couple. The sheets, although clean, had some visible stains which hadn't come out in the wash. Luckily small stains, but enough to notice. The outside bath was lovely, although sometimes ruined by the heavy smokers next door if they were outside a...more
Downsview is a family house in an incredible setting. The downstairs is a very family friendly and sociable space with a beautiful kitchen dining area and very well equipped, Direct access to the garden and seafront is a real bonus. The upstairs could do with some updating particularly the bathroom and sinks in the bedrooms. It would’ve been nice to have to have received a welcome basket, and a second set of keys given the size of the house would be practical and helpful. The garden is somewhat overlooked at the back but these points do not detract from the overall high standard comfort cle...more
Tuggers is an unusual holiday home with many interesting features. It is obviously loved and lived in at times. It is lovely to be able to walk on the shingle for miles. The sunrises are stunning and there is an amazing view out to sea from the bedroom window. Paul was really helpful about the heating. We were not sure what we were meant to use at times as there was lots of open food in fridge and cupboards. We did put the bins out as requested but they were full of rubbish from previous stays. However we really enjoyed our stay.
This was out third time in Deal with Keepers. This was probably our favourite rental home so far. Keepers are always great - quick response, very friendly and great customer service. The house is lovely, beautiful decor and perfect location - you can see the sea from the master bedroom's window!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Canterbury Retreat. The location was perfect for me as it was close to the university accomodation my daughter stays in and also close to supermarkets and the town centre. The apartment felt extremely cosy and homely and at the same time had a very modern touch and some unusual features (like the stairs down to the bathroom), which added to the overall charme of the place. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the shower is lovely. The main bedroom faces out to the street and that can be a bit noisy at times. Also with having a laundrette in the same buil...more
What a wonderful place victory Cottage is to stay. Beautiful Home - delightfully furnished and decorated, so light ,airy and comfortable.Fantastic location right on the beach front with the most wonderful views. You will definitely come home feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Thank you for letting us share your home.
Every aspect very satisfactory. Agents very helpful. The only criticism was the high cost of the accommodation.
We had a wonderful week in Trafalgar Cottage. Really well appointed house and such a treat being so close to the sea and the Zetland.
The house is amazing, perfect location right next to a castle. The grounds are wonderful. It's the ideal location for a large group. Also kids will love the "Harry Potter" style of the stairs and nooks and crannies in the house. Points of attention: - We found a piece of glass on the bedroom floor, reported it to Keepers Cottages. Fortunately, no injuries. - A plumber came unannounced to the house to fix the downstairs toilet which was not working when we arrived. After he left, it still did not work. - A gardener also came unannounced to the house at 8am on Friday morning. He told us...more
Rent for 10. The table was designed for maxi 6/8 persons. In the first floor bedroom (street size) 2 windows couldn't be fully closed due to bad installation. We could hear the cars all along the night which was very annoying for sleeping (bring your ear buds) . Worse, the bedroom was very cold and windy (november). Disappointed...
We chose this house close to Ramsgate for our wedding weekend and for our family to stay with us. The house has plenty of space and has great character. We hired a private chef who made good use of the spacious kitchen and 2 dishwashers, 3 ovens, 6 ring professional hob and large fridge. We hired an actor for a murder mystery evening and the setting couldn't have been better. Although the house is very old, all the bathrooms are modern most with heated floors. All in all, we couldn't have dreamt of a better place to stay. Sadly the poor weather didn't allow us to explore the ground...more
Lovely cottage. Sunny garden but otherwise downstairs living area is quaint compact. Very authentic feel to the place, which I loved - wild open fire. Great for a couple, any more will feel a squeeze but would recommend. It is very close to High St and beach. Very nice road.
We had a great stay in this beautiful property. The location is fabulous and Deal (as ever) is such a nice town. We’ll be back
A lovely weekend with friends despite the rain. Great to introduce them to Deal. They loved it! As always, good to visit the local shops, the market, walk along the front and attend a church service at St George’s.
Dolphin cottage is full of charm. Aesthetically pleasing in every way. A great location near the seafront and old town. My second visit to the cottage and I’d happily stay again. The reception rooms and bedrooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is small, yet well set out. The courtyard garden is beautiful… just a shame the weather didn’t allow us to use it this time. The only down side was the late check-in after 4pm and very early checking out. It would have been nice not to feel so rushed having to leave by 10am. Even an extra hour would have helped. Despite that, we...more
Attention to directions to location required. Change name from Bothy to advertised name. Warn of steep steps down to property. Leave clearly visible guest handbook. Possibly sort TV system. Do that then excellent.
Beautiful accommodation, peaceful location & a great base for exploring the local area. The swimming pool and sauna were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Comfortable, clean, well presented and the welcome pack was a nice addition. Very put off by the toilet adjoining the bedroom which has no door or screen and stupidly didn't realise there was another toilet complete with door in the hallway until day 2!! Well placed for all amenities with a 10 min stroll into town and a 3 min stroll to the beach.
We absolutely loved our stay at Mary's Cottage and would like to return. There were a few tweaks that could be done - the door handle of the loo in the loft came off when we opened it on first day! And the smoke alarm is soooo loud!! None of that mattered to us. The only slight deal breaker is the very hard beds. Is there any way they could introduce toppers? Am I sounding like the Princess and the Pea?
A few issues which might preclude our rebooking at the property: The combination of the steep staircases with incomplete handrails, and only a downstairs bathroom, was a concern. We missed having a microwave, which are usually standard in holiday properties. Car parking was a daily hassle - the information pack could have included more detail of roads available without restriction. Minor faults - the coat hooks by the back door were not secure, and the master bedroom doorknob was loose.
A lovely well equipped house. Everything that we might have needed was provided. The toy cupboard was much appreciated by our grandaughter! Only a short walk from Tankerton which had a nice friendly pub and good restaurants.
Great cottage, nice location and spotless. Nice family house to stay with our family well situated near sandwich village centre and quiet neighbourhood
Had a very enjoyable week at Geralds Place, and our two cockapoos loved it too.We felt at home as soon as we walked in.Everything provided that you could possibly need. We felt at home as soon as we walked in.Loved the decor! Perfect location, and the parking space a real bonus. We hope to return in the future.
We had a very comfortable week’s holiday in this property. It is stylishly decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the high street & beach and super convenient for the station and supermarkets. The only slight drawbacks are that cooking can be tricky as the cooker is right behind the kitchen door and the back yard would benefit from some (real) plants.
Had a great 2 weeks at Noggin in August. One of the many and varied little fisherman’s cottages in Deal, it’s on 4 floors and beautifully designed and well equipped. I’ve stayed in quite a few of them over the years, but this one is an interior designers dream and made it a pleasure to stay in as a family. The kitchen is properly equipped and it has the feel of a home rather than a seaside rental. No cheap furniture and peeling wallpaper there. The stairs are steep and you learn not to bang your head, but the pirates were a bit shorter when the house was built. It’s just off the sea front, it’...more
Dreadful weather but despite that we had a great time, as always, in Deal. Two of our party were unfortunately not able to make it but they did spend the day with us on Saturday. We had a fantastic weekend and the dog loved it too!
A most enjoyable stay at Blackhorse Loft. The flat was spacious, clean and comfortable and I would definitely book again.
Lovely cottage, great location just off beach and very convenient for town. Nicely set up with starter pack of milk etc. clean and comfortable.
Excellent well equipped property, short walk to Deal High street. Fantastic sea view to wake up to each morning
A small, pretty cottage quite near the beach in the southern part of Deal. Good points were comfortable beds and furnishings and a very nice shower room and toilet. A useful roof terrace as there was no other outdoor space to sit in. Less good points were the lack of parking nearby - Deal is full of ‘no parking’ signs everywhere. This was quite a problem for us as walking any distance is an issue for my husband. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but there was no teapot and no cafetière. The interior is quite dark as the internal shutters and low ceiling excluded light. There’s only one ...more
Quaint little house with beach theme throughout. Lovely and warm on a cold winters night. Few issues during our stay unfortunately but the hot water was fixed quickly. TV screen has dark patches making viewing difficult, bath towels are too small and kettle needs to be descaled! A water filter and mattress toppers would also be beneficial. Kitchen was very well equipped and welcome box was a very nice touch. As a last minute booking this was fine for our family however suites 2 couples more than a family with children as 2 double beds.
We had a very nice stay in the blue house. Everything was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was great!
Corner Pin cottage is a nice cosy cottage in very central location. The cottage was nice and cosy once we got the heating on. For the cost I think a few improvements could be made. The sofa was quite uncomfortable and the towels could do with replacing . The TV is sky but we could only access the basic TV channels. The logs etc for the log burner seemed damp and we had to go and buy our own to use during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and has dishwasher not mentioned in details. The bedrooms were cosy and comfortable. It's a good idea to provide spare key so you have one to leave i...more
A very well equipped and cosy cottage in a prime location in Deal with a lovely log burner set in an inglenook fireplace. We loved the character of the property with its beams and original floor boards. The kitchen was well equipped and the main bedroom was large with a very comfy bed. The hot water and heating system was very efficient. Although there is no parking outside property, we stayed in November so had no trouble finding free parking within a few minutes walk. Plenty of walks from the property and lots of good eating places within the town . Thoroughly enjoyed our week.
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
A fantastic location for accessing a lovely part of Kent. Clean comfortable cottage ideal for 4 guests with a real feeling of privacy and seclusion set in a beautiful garden with rear views to a meadow .
Stones Throw is in an ideal location.Just yards from the sea and plenty to do if you don`t want to get in the car every day.The walks along the beach in either direction are very good, with plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. The cottage itself has everything you would require and has plenty of space as all rooms are quite big.The only thing that would have made it better for us would be a small shelf/stand inside the shower to put your shower gel/shampoo etc on as keep bending to the floor is not so easy for people of a certain age (like us!) . Easy, excellent customer service...more
We were disappointed with this property. A very late and as it turned out useless attempt to sort out a washer dryer as listed really upset our enjoyment - with two very young children it was a nightmare. We would NOT have booked it if no washer dryer - we would have gone elsewhere. It was also not that clean.
Lovely property right on the beach. Beautifully decorated. Well equipped. Added bonus of record player and great LP collection
We had a genuinely wonderful week in Vince Cottage. Beautiful location just a few minutes from the beach where you can enjoy a drink from The Zetland Arms. The shepherd’s hut is immaculate and a beautiful place to stay. The main house is also charming but unfortunately the level of cleaning was under par and there were a number of maintenance tasks that needed attention. The property could be absolutely amazing with a thorough deep clean and a day of maintenance work.
So lucky with the weather in Deal….. cottage rather disappointing. There is limited head room in several areas - couldn’t stand up in the double bedroom ! The furniture and fittings are exhausted and the cottage felt grubby throughout - shame ……
We had a lovely stay at The Cove and would return, mostly thanks to its location. The house is on the better end of town and near lovely little shops and of course, the beach. It has been decorated very nicely and it was nice to receive the welcome bag. Constructive feedback would be to clean the garden prior to guests arriving – there is a pigeon issue, which meant the garden and garden furniture was covered in bird poo. A quick wipe-down would have helped. There was also an old fire surround, which seems to be waiting to be removed. The garden could be made really nice with a few small c...more
