Keepers Cottages run an first class service answering any queries really promptly and helpfully, so much better value than Airbnb who seem to make many more ‘add on’ charges these days. The Admiral Penn is the perfect social house for a large group of friends. It has all the amenities to have a really fun stay in Deal. The house is to an incredibly high standard and in the perfect location. Highlights include the basement cinema room and the bar with ice machine/wine cooler/fridge/cocktail shaker that looks out to sea. Check in process and host contact was very easy and efficient too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Liberty Cottage. The place is so comfortable, beautiful and well appointed with really good kitchen facilities and comfy beds. We enjoyed some nice walks in the local area and by the beach, but given it was January, the weather was definitely not on our side-- but the cottage itself was so cosy, warm and comfortable--so we also didn't mind staying inside. The cottage is on a lovely street, and we had some nice treats at the bakery as well as stopping into the pub for very good burgers and some nice chats with the pub landlords and locals. We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.

This cottage was just perfect. It has been beautifully renovated and decorated to a high standard. The beds are so comfy too. It is the perfect location for exploring the area. We walked down to the beach and had a fabulous meal at The Zetland Arms on the first night. The second night we cooked in the small but well equipped kitchen and ate in the gorgeous garden. This is the second time I have used Keepers Cottages and I can't rate them enough. The Studio was an excellent little find. Great space, great location and was lovely and light. Would def recommend and stay again when next visiting Deal.
This house is right on the seafront at Kingsdown with amazing views from so many rooms in the house d footpaths in three directions from the doorstep. The lounge has large, comfortable sofas, an open fire and great views out. The kitchen is large, very well equipped and a lovely place to gather with another fire place. Bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The only thing I would suggest is better curtains in the downstairs bedroom as there are only very thin currently and this window does overlook other properties and makes it feel uncomfortable at night. What a great find. A well designed, fantastically equipped and tastefully decorated comfy cottage in the heart of old Deal a few yards from the beach with parking! We loved it. The grandchildren loved the hot tub.
Third stay in Whitstable and second time using Keepers Cottages. They are the most professional short stay company we have used and can not fault them. The house is lovely. More than comfortable for 4 people and the dogs enjoyed the garden and open space inside. Location is perfect for all of the Whitstable hot spots. Minutes walk to the beach and to the high street with all of the shops and restaurants. Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Rosewood. The cottage is very stylishly decorated with some great art and books. Beds, linens, appliances all top quality and very comfortable. The garden is a real sun trap and the property is just one road back from the sea. We usually stay in central Deal but enjoyed Walmer and it's only a short walk down the seafront to the centre of Deal. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to sit out in the sun due to the bad weather! We would definitely consider returning.
A weekend of switching off and getting away from it all. The Barn was simply stunning, when can we move in?!
Ravenscourt is a beautiful home in a central location in charming Whitstable. We appreciated the high end decor, comfortable beds, great showers & well equipped kitchen. As we had good weather, the garden with its lovely garden furniture was also very useful.
Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Very clean, comfy bed, good bath and shower. Great to look out and see the sea. Keepers Cottages were really helpful.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously at Lavender Apartment. Everything was as stated on the website, and more. The welcome pack was much appreciated, as we're recommendations to local restaurants etc. Walmer Castle was close by, and very enjoyable, as were our trips to Broadstairs and Sandwich. We would certainly stay at Lavender Apartment again should we revisit the area, and use Keepers cottages again, who were very friendly and helpful throughout.
We had a great time at One the Slipway, we were a party of 7 - 6 adults and a 10 month old and the house was a fantastic size for us all with comfy beds and a great sized living room, with high spec finishes including a massive TV! Location was ideal for exploring the town and the shoreline and the views from 2 of the bedrooms were spectacular. The only thing we would feedback on is that we couldn’t control the heat of the shower on the top floor so all had to share the middle bathroom for the weekend but this wasn’t a problem! Would definitely return to one the slipway
We had a lovely stay at The Green House. It was beautifully furnished and the children's toys and books went down well. It is well located for the beach and is a 10/15 minute stroll to the heart of Deal town.
This is a well appointed cottage in a good location. Keepers Cottages were quick to respond to any issues.

A wonderful cottage in a blissful, quiet rural location near Sandwich. Beautifully set up and impeccably clean. Rarely available, it felt homely and comfortable and the lovely owners, who live next door, were extremely welcoming, unintrusively. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would be delighted to do so again. (Several booking issues but these were resolved satisfactorily.)

This was our second stay at Pebbles and we were surprised to find that this time one of the gates to the carport would only open half'way. Also the main TV was broken and so the owner kindly provided an older, smaller replacement which remained there for the fortnight we stayed. Otherwise, things were good and we found Pebbles to be well equipped.
Just had a week at the Boatman's Reading Rooms. The house wonderfully combines its history alongside a clean and modern interior. It's location is perfect, offering a short 10 minute walk into Deal centre with all its bars and restaurants. The house has everything you need and more for a relaxing stay. Luxury by the sea. Easily accomodated eight adults. Would highly recommend.
My friends and I had a fantastic stay in Kingsdown at Downs Cottage. Amazing cottage that is both stylish and comfortable, would love to go back. Loved the sound system and the lights, the cooker that steamed our rib of beef and the amazing decor. Managed to swim in the sea for @ 30 seconds then ran back to the house to get warm. Thanks again
Excellent location for the town and beach. Very comfy beds and beautifully decorated. Nice garden with patio seating with cushions. Parking is free if you can find a space, we were lucky and got one nearby. Excellent bus service to Canterbury and train service to Ramsgate.

Luxury stay for a large family. Excellent country location. Brilliant facilities for indoor and outdoor entertainment. Tennis court in great shape. Luxury of quooker hot taps and twin dishwashers with loads of kitchen gear made food prep so easy. Hard to fault and we would come again.

Sea Rose Cottage is an excellent little cottage to base yourself in if you want to explore the seaside towns of east Kent or just generally enjoy seaside activities. The house itself is neat, clean and comfortable and has parking. Service is top notch, couldn't ask for more. We've had some great self-catering stays but it's hosts like Nigel that make them all the more memorable. The beach is extremely close, quiet, and you can walk along the Kent Coast Path down to Dover or up to Deal, Sandwich and beyond. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

This is a beautifully renovated and maintained cottage in a quiet alley, just off one of the most historic streets of Deal, and a half minute walk to the seafront. The house is small but very comfortable with a big sofa and log burner in the living room, and good bedrooms. (Tight and steep staircase for anyone with mobility issues). A sweet little yard to sit in when it's sunny. Very close to many very good bars and restaurants. We love it and highly recommend.
The place was great to stay in, had everything you would need the bedroom was up some steepish stairs I have mobility issues (was warned beforehand) and found it a bit awkward the steps into the property were a bit difficult for me but if you have mobility issues, you'll find this property ideal for location for restaurants etc
We found The George to be exactly as described. It provided a comfortable and convenient base from which to enjoy our holiday. Tucked in on a street off the Dover Road it was quiet whist also handily placed to drive or walk to/from. We travelled to & from Margate by train and walked the coastal path to Sandwich, returning by bus. There is a charming cafe , "The Corner" nearby that serves excellent breakfasts, brunches & lunches. Blue Skies, in a superb area of Deal, is full of character, is extremely well equipped with everything you might need for a stay/holiday and is clean and fresh. Keepers Cottages were professional and helpful in finding a suitable last minute holiday cottage for us and Blue Skies was a perfect choice. Our family (5) spent the Easter break at Holbrook House in Deal and it more than exceeded expectations. Location was perfect, in a quiet street that is close to the High Street, lovely shops, pubs and restaurants and of course, the wonderful coastline. The accommodation was excellent. The house is very well situated and nicely furnished and equipped. The one problem we had with one of the toilets was swiftly sorted. Highly recommended.
The cottage is excellent. It’s positioned a short drive from 3 fantastic golf courses so is perfect for a golf weekend. 4 large bedrooms meant we all had our own rooms. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk and a few other bits was a welcome surprise. It’s a short walk to the town of Sandwich in the evening. Clean, warm and spacious the cottage is definitely somewhere I would recommend.
Flint House is very near the sea in Kingsdown. The property details refer to sea views but they do not mention traffic noise. The house is on a corner where the road goes round a bend annd then up or down a hill. There is traffic noise from the cars accelerating up the hill or braking to come down the hill. The house has a fabulous sitting room however the kitchen is dark and dingy. We have just had a lovely family weekend stay at Bowden Lodge. The house is very spacious, well furnished and clean and it accommodated our 12 family members plus small dog very comfortably. The children loved the swimming pool - which was heated - as well as playing ball games in the large garden. Stayed here in June 2024. Really lovely "quirky" cottage, right in the middle of the conservation area, very close to the beach. Everything was great, from the joining instructions onwards! We had an email a day after we arrived checking everything was OK. House is a short walk from a nice clique of bars and restaurants and a short walk into the centre of town. Would highly recommend

Ollerton was perfect for our family group of seven humans and two dogs. It is spacious and practical with very tasteful fittings throughout. Located in a quiet part of the high street with a lovely enclosed, secluded rear garden, it was a great family base and we chose to eat there most days. We were lucky with the weather and we absolutely fell in love with Deal. The town is both charming and lively with a great choice of independent restaurants, bars and shops. The coastal walks in both directions are beautiful.
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
We spent a lovely weekend at the Beach House. It is spacious, well equipped and attractively furnished with a seaside theme - the weather was variable so we were very glad to have such a comfortable base. We were wowed by the amazing sea views from the sitting room and bedrooms and only had to cross the road to get to the beach. Deal is a delightful place and we would highly recommend staying at the beautiful Beach House.
We have stayed in this house several times over the past few years and we return because we feel at home here. This year we have noticed the wear and tear on furniture. Stains on the sofas and the rattan unravelling on the furniture in the conservatory making it uncomfortable to sit there. The situation is, however, quiet and very convenient. This cottage is in the perfect location for a stay in Deal. Very quiet area & minutes from the beach. No parking but very easy to park on the front 5 minutes away. We didn't us the kitchen besides making drinks but it looked well stocked. Lounge sofa & chairs lovely & comfortable but didn't use TV. Bedroom lovely, light & airy. But the bed is very hard. Stairs are very, very steep, only for the fit & able bodied. But they added to the Smugglers Cottage experience! Bathroom a little tired & on the third floor. Captain's Cottage provided us with the perfect place to stay. It is roomy and comfortable with tasteful decorative details. It is well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The accommodation is roomy and attractive. We love Deal and Captain's Cottage is a great place to stay for access to the beach, the town and local attractions.
We stayed here for 6 weeks and it’s a great little home. The location is great, 20 minutes walk to the high street, 5 minutes from the slopes and local shops. Clean and beautifully renovated. Driveway for a single car with additional on road parking. Beds are comfortable, has WiFi, plenty of hot water and great showers. Also a pair of resident foxes that explore the street at dusk and was a treat to see each night!
I’ve had a 50th birthday celebration to remember at this property! It’s absolutely stunning with the sea view, window seat, balcony and hot tub - a place to just sit and relax. The house is really well supplied with kitchen equipment and the bedrooms are comfy and smart. (For those with small children I noticed a stairgate has been installed, but it’s worth considering that the communal area floors are granite tile which little ones could slip on.) Bay tree house is beautiful. It feels like it is much loved and used by the owners. There are lots of lovely touches such as ample tea and coffee, olive oil etc. There is beautiful art work on the walls and the house is tastefully decorated and furnished. After initial access issues, we were given the wrong key code, the flat proved to be almost idea. Excellent kitchen, a microwave would be nice though, and very comfortable throughout. Parking might be a problem in high season though.
Sandy Villa has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the peace and quiet or relish in family meals together with the lovely kitchen and dining area all in one space and the football table was a great addition and gave us much entertainment. We had a week's holiday in this cottage and everything was first class. The cottage was very clean and we were provided with everything we needed. A very quiet location set in Deal's attractive conservation area yet very close to the promenade and within easy reach of the town centre with a level 10 minute walk either along the prom or through the quaint narrow streets. We travelled to Sandwich to visit with my dad's family we haven't seen in years. The cottage was big enough to hold us all. The garden was lovely and big for the kids to play and you can watch the sunset through the trees in the back garden. I'd say the house, being so old, was charming but definitely not designed for anyone over 5'7" as there were many bumped heads on doorways during our stay. We tried to duck as much as possible but sometimes we forgot. We loved staying at seascape in Whitstable! It was great for all the family plenty of room and a lovely sunny south facing garden. Room with bunk beds was a bit cramped but otherwise all rooms were a good size and well equipped. It’s a very near walk to the harbour but further to the beaches on the other side, for children anyway! Sweet playground nearby too. All in all a great house for a family break.
We had the best time at Number 3 in Margate and will definitely be back. The apartment is much bigger than the photos suggest and the property is fitted out very tastefully. Extremely comfy beds and all the appliances you could need in the kitchen. There was a snag with check in where we had been sent the incorrect key code for picking up the key which meant it took about an hour for us to get in the property after arriving. 17 Farrier Street is in a brilliant location, close to both beach and High Street. The house is very comfortable, homely but stylish, and the owner provides some nice welcoming touches like a lovely bottle of wine and upmarket toiletries in all the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time. It’s such a fantastic location. So close to the sea and the fab pub next door (which doesn’t open late - so doesn’t disturb you). It is beautiful and there’s a great path walk to Walmer and Deal! We originally booked for 4 women and ended up inviting our partners as the house sleeps 8. Therefore we were 4 couples and to be honest I am not sure that a stay of any more than a couple of days is sustainable in the house for this number of people. We stayed while we were waiting to move into our new house nearby. It is a lovely cottage- a bit challenging (stairs) for people with mobility issues. Very well situated for shops, pubs, restaurants and the sea. The beds - mattress and pillows- were a bit soft for our taste. An issue with the heating was quickly & efficiently sorted out.
The Flat in Deal is a lovely property in the heart of Deal. The flat is well kept and the beds are super comfy. There is a small outside space so you can bring a dog. Whilst we liked our flat, there was alot of noise both nights from the pub next door. It had loud music until well into the early hours. That was a pity for us as we were there for a relaxing getaway.
We had a very enjoyable holiday at The Heights and found it a well set up house. My one small criticism is the convenience of watching the TV. There is not enough space in front of the TV with one person looking at it from the left side.
We loved our three night stay in this charming character cottage. The house was well equipped with everything you could ask for and the welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch. The cottage is ideally placed with the high street and beach just a couple of minutes walk from the property. It’s ideally placed for all the local pubs, bars, restaurants etc. Parking is the only issue as it’s all permit parking but you do get one hour to unload. We managed to park for free a couple of streets away but there are car parks not far away. We would definitely return and recommend this property.
We had a fantastic stay at Angela’s Cottage. It has been beautifully updated and furnished with high quality furniture, fittings and fully equipped kitchen. The fact you look out over very well kept allotments gave it an open, light outlook. We had no trouble parking although we were out of season. Walmer is a great location as you are close to everything you need without being in Deal centre.
The cottage was delightful. Instructions for everything were very clear. Only comment is noise from neighbours which is no one's fault but we decided to leave a day early as the evenings and early mornings were rather disturbed.
There was a lot of pressure on this mini break. I wanted to bring my ailing 85 yr old mum and energetic 2.5 yr old daughter somewhere they would both be happy and well catered for. We really enjoyed our stay at Moat Farm House. The kitchen is really well equipped with lots of crockery, cooking utensils and 4 ovens! We were a group of 5 couples and this property is great for adults, but with so many ornaments and antique furniture it would be a challenge with children. The bathroom were modern and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. The lane to the house was overgrown, making it very narrow for a car. The house is amazing, perfect location right next to a castle. The grounds are wonderful. It's the ideal location for a large group. We had a couple of niggles but they were sorted very quickly and effectively. We were a group of 8 and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space - only 2 loos was a bit tight at times but never really an issue.
Inside the house was excellent. The outside seating area was a great morning and evening suntrap with nice furniture, however dirty paving ,weeds ,broken fencing and peeling paint on the brickwork made it visually unpleasant. Not much work needs doing, clean up and a few potted plants and it would be perfect. For all that I would definitely go again
Oldstairs House, is a grand old lady. A bit creaky here and there, and worn in places, although clean and tastefully dressed. Kitchen well equipped and dining hall sat 10 comfortably. Beds were comfy and rooms were so dark and quiet at night, therefore good night’s sleep. Be aware that there is only one shower in the en-suite, no problem, but had to queue in the morning. My family had a wonderful two week stay at Admiralty House in July 2024. From the moment you step through the grand entrance door you will be impressed at the grandeur of this spacious 3 story apartment. The three bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have very comfortable beds. The ground floor ensuite is particularly grand. We enjoyed our stay very much. Comfortable, clean, well presented and the welcome pack was a nice addition. Very put off by the toilet adjoining the bedroom which has no door or screen and stupidly didn't realise there was another toilet complete with door in the hallway until day 2!! Well placed for all amenities with a 10 min stroll into town and a 3 min stroll to the beach.
We had a very comfortable week’s holiday in this property. It is stylishly decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the high street & beach and super convenient for the station and supermarkets. The only slight drawbacks are that cooking can be tricky as the cooker is right behind the kitchen door and the back yard would benefit from some (real) plants.

The house is very clean and luxurious with the swimming pool and 3 bathrooms, but we missed the cozy English atmosphere. The kitchen utensils could also have been more extensive (casserole, potato peeler, teacups, etc.). It was also very warm in the house because of the heating for the swimming pool. Had a great 2 weeks at Noggin in August. One of the many and varied little fisherman’s cottages in Deal, it’s on 4 floors and beautifully designed and well equipped. I’ve stayed in quite a few of them over the years, but this one is an interior designers dream and made it a pleasure to stay in as a family. The kitchen is properly equipped and it has the feel of a home rather than a seaside rental. No cheap furniture and peeling wallpaper there. I have stayed in the area previously but wanted a suitable place to bring my dog. The cottage didn't disappoint. There is a lot of space in this cottage with a lovely big garden, which is a real sun trap. The cottage is clean and has character with two lovely bedrooms up a very steep flight of stairs. The only issue was the uncomfortable sofas as they are very low. The cottage is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the wonderful Zetland Arms which serves morning coffee and Swedish buns. The old cottage is hidden behind a busy street in Deal. Not easy to reach by car, but you can get everywhere very quickly on foot. Whether you walk towards Walmer or into the center of Deal, it is central and quiet. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good during our stay that we used the roof terrace or seating area, but it is nice that it is there. The interior is timeless and fully equipped. Stayed five nights whilst visiting family and babysitting our granddaughter. Flat is very compact but the facilities are great. Well equipped kitchen, really comfortable bed and wonderful shower. Five minutes from the town centre and close to the best pub in Deal, The Ship Inn. Oh, and great value for money. What more could you ask for?
Great location and clean property. Loved it for that alone. Would recommend definitely. Difficult stairs for some, but think that is clear when you book.
Lovely spacious Cottage very close to beach front and easy walks into Deal and along seafront to Kingsdown or further to St Margert's Bay or even up to Sandwhich. Cottage was clean and well equipped, some minor problems with TV as no freeview and everything had to be watched via apps e.g. iPlayer, Boiler Fan very noisy (not well?) and New Gas meter near front door needs boxing in. All mentioned to agent so hopefully will be resolved soon. Lovely base for the area recommend.
Very comfortable cottage, very close to all the amenities. Lots of places to eat, we tried The Neptune, The Smack Inn, tea and times and the corner cate.

A very well equipped and cosy cottage in a prime location in Deal with a lovely log burner set in an inglenook fireplace. We loved the character of the property with its beams and original floor boards. The kitchen was well equipped and the main bedroom was large with a very comfy bed. The hot water and heating system was very efficient. Although there is no parking outside property, we stayed in November so had no trouble finding free parking within a few minutes walk. Plenty of walks from the property and lots of good eating places within the town . Thoroughly enjoyed our week.
Location wise, the cottage was excellent. But it felt a little out-dated and unloved. The radiator in the spare room - where our young son slept - was very tempermental and the valve fell off in my hand when I tried to adjust the temperature. There were also no curtains - just a thin blind - which is not ideal for a room for a 1 year old to sleep in. The blind cords were also not safely secured which was a bit concerning. An ideal place to stay for us. Two castles within walking distance with Dover Castle and Canterbury cathedral within easy driving distance. Loved the sea front coastal path just up the road. Nice and quiet at night but not a ace to stay if you have mobility problems. Lots of choice for food outlets nearby. Good week.
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
The house appears a little unpromising on arrival, but once inside it reveals a beautifully refurbished, comfortable and spacious house. It suited our family very well, providing for all ages, but especially for the children who enjoyed the garden, the games room and the abundance of books and toys. It was well placed for access to the high street in Whitstable and a short walk for all requirements. The showering/bathing facilities were ample for 8 of us and featured quality fixtures and fittings. The beds were comfortable and again had high quality bedding. We had a genuinely wonderful week in Vince Cottage. Beautiful location just a few minutes from the beach where you can enjoy a drink from The Zetland Arms. The shepherd’s hut is immaculate and a beautiful place to stay. The main house is also charming but unfortunately the level of cleaning was under par and there were a number of maintenance tasks that needed attention. The property could be absolutely amazing with a thorough deep clean and a day of maintenance work.
We had a great stay in chalet no 5. The holiday park was clean with a beautiful view at sea and fun facilities like mini golf, tennis and a swimming pool. In the area are a lot of things to do and multiple nice cities to visit. Also 3 castles nearby! We loved it, and would recommend it to everyone.
This property is in serious need of some care and attention. We politely called it 'Shabby'. The decor has obviously not been refreshed for the upcoming season, or indeed any recent years. Our main concern was with the cleanliness of the property. Stains on the sofa and carpets, spills on the walls and skirting boards, cobwebs and dust throughout - Someone had written (obviously some time ago) 'dust me' with a cross on the television base unit. We liked our stay in the Old Chelsea in Deal, but regretted that we couldn’t really eat together as a family because there were only two rather uncomfortable chairs and one small table that wasn’t really suitable as a dining table. We didn’t sit outside either because the cushions were rather dirty and not very inviting and added to that the tiny outside space was the only place to leave the rubbish bins. We enjoyed a week in Whitstable at SeaFern cottage (one couple and a dog). The location is great. A moments walk to the sea front and harbour and even closer to the main high street with all the lovely restaurants and shops. There is one bathroom en-suite to the main bedroom. This will be fine for a family but may be a little awkward for two couples or a group of friends. This place was great for our dog who enjoyed exploring the little back garden. Cottage was a great size for a family of 4 (two children under 3). Good location. Overall look of the cottage was nice. Note the tv isn’t smart - which wasn’t a massive issue but would have been nice. Beds aren’t particularly comfortable - esp in the twin rooms.
Shell Seekers was a comfortable stay for us as a couple but a little cramped when we were joined by two further adults and two children. The stairs to the first floor are steep and there is no handrail so might be challenging if poor mobility or, as we found, when carrying young children or luggage. There is only a 3/4 height partition wall between the top floor bedroom and the en suite (toilet and sink). The curtain in this thin so we were woken by sunlight each morning.
