Admiral Penn was absolutely perfect for our party The Stairs are steep for those with poor mobility
The studio was just as good as the first time - and I shall be coming back again. Maybe this time I shall come during the colder months.
Would come back in a heartbeat. Lovely main room with wonderful view over pier. Great welcome pack, too. Immaculately clean and comfy bed. So well positioned for town, too.
Beautiful, convenient oasis to hide away in for a late summer break, perfection, well equipped, exquisite, if I had to find a fault I'd it had a small tv but that was a bonus....
We loved our stay at The Old Bakehouse. The house was very comfortable with everything that you could want. It was very quiet apart from the inevitable seagulls. Sarah, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We liked the house because the rooms on the upper floor were all on one level. Everything worked well and the whole house was immaculate. We hope to return one day.
Beautiful house. Comfy beds. Well equipped for staying in or going to the beach. Pretty historic location a short walk from the high street and the beach. Made good use of the garden and outhouse too.
This is an outstanding property. So clean and well designed. Garden is relaxing with lovely play equipment for the children. Very pleasant short walk to wild Walmer beach,Walmer Green and great play park. Lots to do within a short drive
The cottage is well equipped and very clean. There was fruit left in the fruit bowl and a bottle of chilled wine in the fridge when we arrived. A nice gesture. The bedrooms were all ensuite and the beds were Super comfortable. To be cool though you had to keep the window open overnight even though fans were provided, however the temperatures have been high this summer. The pool was well maintained, cleaned weekly - timed to the day we arrived. My grandson had many play swimming lessons from mum and dad in it. The dog enjoyed the garden and all lost balls were thrown back over the hedge by ...more
The house is very spacious and has everything you need. The courtyard garden is very pretty. There is free parking quite close by.
A lovely quiet compact place to stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Photos were very accurate.
This cottage is picture perfect when looking for a base to swim the English Channel, and for a quiet seaside holiday too! The team are responsive and kind, helping wherever they can to ensure our stay was stress free. Highly recommend and can’t wait to see how Cliffside grows in the future :)
Our second stay at this charming cottage: well situated, a short walk from the front, and convenient for a variety of pubs and restaurants.Off road parking is a definite bonus.
Lovely weekend with friends. Keepers Cottage is in a great location for the town and the beach. It’s is comfortable and well equipped. Only one criticism, no welcome pack. A bottle of milk would have been great.
Middle Deal is a beautifully appointed cottage. Extremely well equipped with everything needed for your stay. We had a lovely time. Slight downside is yellow lines outside the cottage and as there is no drop kerb parking on the paved drive was not easy. Our Focus just about fit. We did, though, find it easy to park further along the road. Keepers Cottages staff were extremely helpful and informative with prompt responses to any queries. The booking process is simple and key pick up well thought out. All in all a lovely cottage and super service.
We had a fantastic week at this beautiful and expansive home in the quaint village of Kingsdown. Location is perfect for us - a stone's throw from busier Deal but closer to the quieter beach area of Kingsdown and the lovely Zetland Arms which is just a few minutes walk from your doorstep. The benefit of being a bit farther away is also the larger houses found in this area and Oldestairs was a perfect example of large Arts & Crafts style property with a huge garden and plenty of space for the children to run around and enjoy themselves. The house is vast - much bigger than illustrated in th...more
The cottage is in a great location, right by the sea. The space is bright and airy and perfect for sunny days with extra space on the deck for al fresco dining. We had some rainy days and the cottage also felt cosy and comfortable for lazy days reading and relaxing. The beach hut was also a a great addition and so useful as a base to spend time on the beach. All in all we had a wonderful two weeks in a lovely cottage.
We had a lovely stay at The Green House. It was beautifully furnished and the children's toys and books went down well. It is well located for the beach and is a 10/15 minute stroll to the heart of Deal town.
A wonderful cottage in a blissful, quiet rural location near Sandwich. Beautifully set up and impeccably clean. Rarely available, it felt homely and comfortable and the lovely owners, who live next door, were extremely welcoming, unintrusively. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would be delighted to do so again. (Several booking issues but these were resolved satisfactorily.)
The property was clean and pleasant - the view of the beach was excellent, especially from the main bedroom. The property was well furnished and tidy throughout. Our family had a really enjoyable stay at the property.
The property was in a great location, very central to the shops and bars in Deal but a quiet street and with free parking a short distance away. It was good to have the flexibilty on arrival dates so we could arrive and leave on a Sunday. Keepers Cottages were very helpful when I rang to get advice on parking. Happy to recommend this property for it's comfort and character.
We booked for the last few days of October half term. We had great fun exploring the local area. The house was super clean, well equipped and even had 2 computer consoles for the kids. THANK You for having us.
Lovely spacious property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were really comfortable and everywhere clean. Location is really close to the sea front and Deal is a nice quiet seaside town. We would definately stay there again should we go to Kent
Loved the location and the views. Was lovely that we could walk directly into Deal along the seafront. Beds were lovely and comfortable. We would definitely come back.
The cottage is small, but has everything you need, and a great location. If you struggle with steps the cottage is probably not for you as there are steps in to the kitchen area, and the stairs are steep and twist. The location is great for the beach and Deal town. Comfortable bed, and light and airy rooms.
Such a lovely flat. Large comfy beds and soft pillows. We slept like logs. Beautifully decorated throughout, a lovely kitchen with a large fridge /freezer and lovely bits and pieces. Every whim catered for - even hot water bottles. Parking up along the coast road was free and easy, as recommended. So nice to rent a flat with decent mirrors, so you can actually see what you look like before you go out in the evening, or to dry your hair. This flat has fabulous ones. Recommend places to eat are the cafe at the end of the pier opposite, which we have used many times and so handy for a ...more
Dexter’s House is perfectly located a stone’s throw from both the sea and the market square. Cosy, exceptionally well-equipped and decorated, it is homely and comfortable. We were sad to leave.
In general, I would rate the flat as excellent. The location was ideal, very near to the town centre, and the highlight was the outdoor seating area with the fantastic sea view. The flat interior is very spacious and elegantly decorated (although the Buddhism theme may not be to everyone's taste), and it's very well equipped with cutlery, appliances etc. The showers in the two bathrooms are of luxury standard, and the downstairs toilet was very useful. The mini library full of novels etc. is a nice touch. My main complaint is that the tap in one bathroom didn't work properly: the water was ...more
What an absolutely perfect holiday- beautiful house, AMAZING location, brilliant service from Keepers Cottages - could not have asked for more!! I would move to Maritime Cottage, Deal in a heartbeat!!
A great property, perfectly located for everything Deal-based. Great to have our own parking space as Deal can be tricky for parking otherwise. A very short walk to all the lovely shops, bars and restaurants and also to good supermarkets. The house was amazingly equipped for everything we needed to cook in the evenings and the three floor layout perfectly suited our three generations including kids, teens and Granny! Enough space when space was needed and lovely communal areas when we wanted to be together. We hope to be back!
A beautiful property in an excellent location. The decor is quirky and sophisticated, the open plan living area was both modern and to me, evocative of 1930s American Rhode Island! Comfortable beds with pillows to sink into, and lovely pure cotton bed linens. The bathrooms were well equipped and the attention to detail throughout was very high
Delightful little house, perfect for two, with clever installations and a wonderful garden to enjoy!
Loved the quirky cottage which was very clean and well equipped. Ideally located for shops and restaurants. The little garden was perfect for enjoying a drink in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.
The lodge was situated in the owners back garden which we had full use of, seeing them around only the once when we first arrived and knocked on the door to introduce ourselves. The lodge was very clean and easy to keep tidy, with a spacious kitchen, bedroom, lounge and bathroom with a large shower. For us the lodge was ideally located with the beach, town and railway station within 5 - 10 minutes walk. So easy to visit other towns by train and have a relaxing holiday without relying on the car, as we never resorted to using it once during the entire week. Deal is a lovely friendly town w...more
We had a lovely stay at Cordyline cottage with our 3 year old son. The cottage is traditionally small but feels spacious thanks to thoughtful interior and details across the house. Really cost log burner in the front room and airy kitchen with glass door extension to the backyard. Everything was perfect but the early checkout is a downer for any family trip.
A wonderful sunny week in friendly Potters Cottage. Immediately felt at home - everything to hand and a lovely pretty small garden. Very close to High Street with small shops supplying needs, short walk to sea, pubs and restaurants. I lived at Kingsdown for many years but home is now in Bucks. Missing the sea I return every year to Deal - home from home for me! Thank you Keepers and Potters Cottage. See you next year!
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
Lovely house. Surprising heat gain, especially in the children’s bedroom for what is in effect a new build architect designed home. It wasn’t even especially warm weather during our stay. Everything else was first class.
Lovely property with lots of little unexpected extras. Bit pricey but that’s Deal for you! Would come again.
This is second time 3 friends and I have have stayed at the Captains Cottage. The house is spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. It is located just behind Deal castle so very close to the sea. The only downside is that the surrounding properties are rather run down. This does not negatively impact on the fact that this is a lovely house to stay in. The fact that we chose to return says it all.
Cosy little flat, very clean and comfortable, excellent location. And plenty of hot water for long baths.
We were 3 generations and had the good fortune to have lovely weather for our stay. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped on the whole and the heated pool was a big hit with us all. Walmer and Deal are very close and Dover with all it’s history is nearby too. The Grand Shaft was an interesting place to visit there. We enjoyed many walks from the property and also drove to Margate and walked back to Joss Bay where we swam in the sea. Thanks!
We chose the house for the fantastic location a stones throw from the beach. Clean and well appointed the house was very comfortable and to relax in and enjoy meals. We would definitely choose to stay there again.
Canary Cottage was very conveniently situated being within walking distance of shops, eateries and seafront. The cottage itself was well equipped with essentials for our stay; had to request shower mat but this was promptly supplied. Would recommend to friends.
We had an enjoyable stay in Corner Cottage in late October. The property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything in the kitchen and the bedrooms meeting our expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom superb. It is a short walk to beach and local shops. The railway station is within walking distance and we arrived by train. We hope to come back again the next time we visit family and friends.
Easy and comfortable and convenient. Very close to the centre of town and easy access to local amenities!
Lovely accommodation. Keeps cottage couldn't have been more helpful. Great location in the heart of Deal.
We booked the little house as an alternative to living in a hotel for a week as a base to see family and friends in the UK and have to say we were not at all disappointed. This place is a Tardis Spotless and very modern, it had everything we needed and was minutes from several little stores and Deal town centre and sea front. We will certainly use this house again on our next trip to the UK and it has changed our previous norm of always staying in hotels on vacations in the past Thanks very much Keepers Cottages Team!
We had the best time at Number 3 in Margate and will definitely be back. The apartment is much bigger than the photos suggest and the property is fitted out very tastefully. Extremely comfy beds and all the appliances you could need in the kitchen. There was a snag with check in where we had been sent the incorrect key code for picking up the key which meant it took about an hour for us to get in the property after arriving. This was not ideal with a small tired baby in tow, but the Keepers team called me back after about 15 minutes of me phoning and eventually sent the correct code. Also, ...more
Our group of 5 adults stayed at Alfred Square for 2 nights over a long weekend. The flat is very clean and stylishly furnished. it was is spacious enough for the 5 of us. The beds were large and comfortable. The ceilings were quite low and the tallest in our group had to duck! Good location near the high street and a couple of lively pubs.
Writers Cottage was in an ideal location for a relaxing week in Deal. We have been to Deal numerous times but have never stayed in the town centre. We discovered many more pubs bars and restaurants away from the seafront. The cottage was immaculate as always, if a bit small for 4 adults! Thank you for an fabulous stay.
We had a very enjoyable holiday at The Heights and found it a well set up house. My one small criticism is the convenience of watching the TV. There is not enough space in front of the TV with one person looking at it from the left side.
We had a great holiday with several members of the family including my elderly mother. She was able to use the downstairs bedroom, bathroom and shower room as she has limited mobility. The location was great for the beach and a swim in the sea! It was also close to the start of the Walmer and Deal Parkrun so we were able to participate in that too. There are some lovely pubs around as well as interesting shops in town. The house was great and it has been modernised well. The kitchen was a lovely space with a view to the sea and garden, it has a large island unit and great table for family meal...more
As a large party of four adults and eight teenagers, we found Glen Hill pretty much ideal. The house itself is sprawling and quirky with multiple staircases and even an organ room; the grounds are vast, with tennis court, trampoline, and plenty of places for teens to squirrel themselves away. Accommodation is generous and actually rather better (in terms of usable beds) than the website suggests. A couple of caveats. First, it’s not the place to go if you want wow interiors: everything is perfectly serviceable and clean, but a little shabby and dated. Second, the number of bathrooms is quite...more
Great location close to town and beach - parking is difficult but if you know Deal that’s normal - park along the beach road and everything is in walking distance anyway - cottage is nice and comfortable but is on four floors so spiral staircases to navigate - great weekend break
Really enjoyed our stay in the Garden Flat. The bathrooms need a little updating but the property is extremely clean. From a personal view, I found the double bed too low. The kitchen area is very spacious and has everything you would expect to find in your own kitchen.
The Cottage is charming has a lovely holiday feel and is in a perfect location will definitely stay again
Thoroughly enjoyed a weekend stay at Moat House Farm. Much time spent in glorious gardens as superb weather. Our second visit to House, excellent facilities, interesting interior, very comfortable. Thank you.
We had a lovely week at the cottage and weather was excellent. The extractor fan in the bathroom on the first floor doesn't work. On the information leaflet it says bin collection is Thursday but it's Friday also a rota of which bin and week would be a great help. We would definitely visit again in the future.
This is a beautiful, stylish and well-equipped house in a great location. It's within easy walking distance of the High Street shops and restaurants and minutes form the seafront. The interior decor is really stunning. Customer service was also excellent - any queries both before and during our stay were promptly dealt with in an effecient and friendly manner. The honesty bar in the sitting rooom is a very nice touch There is a warning that the steps to the second floor are steep. This warning should be heeded as all the steps are steep and anyone with even a slight mobility problem (...more
This was out third time in Deal with Keepers. This was probably our favourite rental home so far. Keepers are always great - quick response, very friendly and great customer service. The house is lovely, beautiful decor and perfect location - you can see the sea from the master bedroom's window!
We arrived at Trafalgar cottage and our first challenge was getting over the enormous puddle on the road by the gate, wellies recommended! Then parking there is a drive but our 4/4 only just fitted with centimetres to spare, we parked by the pub once I loaded. The cottage is lovely ( especially useful the washer and dryer but basic kitchen ware was a bit dated , not a sharp knife . The location is stunning and the walks from outside the door were beautiful , our dog particularly enjoying the smells . We had a lovely time but won’t be coming back.
Couldn’t fault the property, other than unlocking the front door slightly confusing. Nice and clean with amazing sea views.
Great location for beach and hughstreet. Didn't release that Deal is on a go slow from Monday - Wednesday with limited of the smaller shops open
We had a lovely stay in the house, there was everything that we needed for a comfy stay. The beds were the highlight for me, very comfortable.
Was simply a lovely, beautifully designed cottage in a perfect spot for the seafront, and only a minute from our favourite pub in Deal !!!!!. What's not to like !!!!! Many thanks for another wonderful few days in this very nice town.
Rent for 10. The table was designed for maxi 6/8 persons. In the first floor bedroom (street size) 2 windows couldn't be fully closed due to bad installation. We could hear the cars all along the night which was very annoying for sleeping (bring your ear buds) . Worse, the bedroom was very cold and windy (november). Disappointed...
We had a great stay in this beautiful property. The location is fabulous and Deal (as ever) is such a nice town. We’ll be back
We had a lovely few days in Whitstable, seeking a bit of escape after a busy time at work. The cottage was the ideal base for us - centrally located, warm, comfortable, very clean and well kitted out. We're grateful to the owners for letting us move our booking by a day due to last minute diary issues. Would happily recommend to others. Thank you for making it all so straightforward.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Comfortable, clean, well presented and the welcome pack was a nice addition. Very put off by the toilet adjoining the bedroom which has no door or screen and stupidly didn't realise there was another toilet complete with door in the hallway until day 2!! Well placed for all amenities with a 10 min stroll into town and a 3 min stroll to the beach.
1) Parking was awful. Despite searching, especially on Saturday when the market was in operation, we could not find the mythical streets nearby with free parking. Parked near Walmer! This isn't a problem if you are going out for the day but if you wish to send some time at the house it means moving the car away and then back again...a pain. Speaking to someone at the market she said that she let her house and supplied visitor parking permits...recommended and little cost compared to the rental income. You need to publish the names of the streets 'nearby' if they do offer free parking. 2) T...more
We enjoyed our stay at birdcage cottage. Lovely ambience. Great location. Clean, well-equipped property.
Quaint little house with beach theme throughout. Lovely and warm on a cold winters night. Few issues during our stay unfortunately but the hot water was fixed quickly. TV screen has dark patches making viewing difficult, bath towels are too small and kettle needs to be descaled! A water filter and mattress toppers would also be beneficial. Kitchen was very well equipped and welcome box was a very nice touch. As a last minute booking this was fine for our family however suites 2 couples more than a family with children as 2 double beds.
Beds were very comfortable, but settees not quite so comfy. Had all we needed. Good place to stay for getting around the area.
Nicely decorated flat. Perhaps more suited to younger crew than family. Situated right on the high street, overlooking store rooftops with lots of seagull life. A bit of noise from restaurants and pubs too. Crockery in cupboards was a little grubby. Steep stairway to flat, grubby corridors and carpets, but this is a communal space. Overall enjoyed our stay and Deal has lots to offer. Would definitely use Keepers Cottages again, and visit Deal again, but in one of their better units.
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
This is our 2nd time staying in Kingsdown with Keepers Cottages, first time at The Victory. It didn’t disappoint! We were 6 adults, 3 small children and 2 infants. I was worried it may feel too cramped for us all but it was perfect due to the layout, location and excellent amenities at the property. Beach at your doorstep and next door to the lovely pub, we all enjoyed walks, a big bbq as a family in the backyard and generally fell in love with the property! The toys were very well received and everyone raved about the comfy beds. Another great find is the Oxtail butcher, 5 mins walk - they ha...more
Great location, nicely decorated. No arrival pack. Bathroom in the house not practical for those with reduced mobility- we had two persons over 80 in our group. Shower over bath, from a sloping roof. - good luck of you are over 170cm. Shepherds hut is fine, path there is across quite deep loose stones so again not suitable for elderly. Great for young adults or those with young family. Considering the price an arrival pack would have been appropriate.
We stayed a week as a family of four in Chalet 5 at Kingsdown Holiday Park. My review is only of the chalet not the park. We encountered a number of issues during our stay of which 2 were properly addresed by the management company Keepers Cottages. The first was the toilet wouldn't flush properly and the toilet seat was very loosely attached. A plumber was called in and the solution was to press and hold the handle in a very specific way for 5 seconds, neither of which our children could achieve, and it was a skill for us adults to do. The toilet seat was ignored. Second was on the 6th ...more
