We loved everything about this cottage. It was extremely comfortable with everything we could possibly need and beautifully and imaginatively furnished. It actually felt like home from the minute we walked in. Although we had some rain we were able to sit outside and watch the moorhens on the pond and the dawn chorus was fabulous. There are many good walks from the front door and a short walk up to the village which has a good pub and many useful shops. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at The Admiral Penn. The house has been beautifully converted into a very high spec holiday house. Each room has an enormous bed with lovely bedding and a fabulous bathroom with underfloor heating. The kitchen and dining room are very well equipped and spacious. The jewel in its crown is the cinema room. A fantastic space, particularly if you are staying with teenagers! Deal itself is a lovely town with lots of nice restaurants and pubs.
This house was perfect for our stay and Camilla and her team couldn’t have been more attentive. A lovely house in a great location.
We have stayed in The Artists House 4 times and each time has been brilliant. We love the light and space, plus all of Steve's colourful paintings. The kitchen area is small but has everything we need. We never watch much TV there as there are so many interesting books to read. The bed is extremely comfortable with a warm natural duvet and pillows. It is quiet and yet just a few minutes from everything, the beach, the High Street with all it's great shops and good restaurants. Whatever the weather we enjoy being in Deal and staying at The Artists House.
Everything about this house was wonderful, we enjoyed a very relaxing week celebrating a birthday with friends and family.
What a gem. Location with a distant sea-view, close to the village and beach and pub! Spotlessly clean, small but well planned and neat as a pin. Everything you need for a holiday. Including some lovely goodies and 1st morning necessities! 2 tiny improvements I'd like to suggest: a few towel hooks on doors in the rooms for hanging up towels. Also a range extender for wi-fi in the lounge/dining area. signal loss from the front of house to back was very significant. Totally loved it and would visit again!
We had a wonderful week staying at Highfield. It's a beautifully furnished house, spacious with very comfy beds and lovely views. Town and sea are a mere stroll away. The garden is delightful with great outdoor furniture to enjoy on sunny days. We love Deal and this was perfect for us.
Lovely comfortable property. Excellent standard. Outdoor facilities good. 5 minutes walk to the beach.Plenty of things to do in the area.
Oldestairs House is absolutely stunning. A cosy, well appointed, romantic country house, which has been made even more special by a thoughtful and tasteful unified contemporary design. Every room is beautiful. The house goes on forever (the photos don't show the half of it!), meaning there's no danger of ever feeling cramped, even with a full house. We stayed at Oldestairs over New Year and, although it wasn't very cold, cosy nights by the fire and playing games in the gorgeous living room were top of the bill. We also made frequent trips to the beach for some chilly swims followed by cosy pin...more
An immaculate cottage with beautiful views of the river. Lots of lovely thoughtful details and everything you could need provided. Great hosts and a wonderful stay.
We had a lovely stay at Pebbles. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The seaside decor adds to the seaside experience and the garden is lovely. It’s in a good location and we would definitely look to stay here next time we stay in Deal.
The house was perfect for our needs - very comfortable, plenty of room, lovely light rooms and a fab sunny terrace. Easy to walk into Deal, especially along the coastal path, beautiful views from three bedrooms and the sitting room. The sun trap terrace was roomy and used a lot. Lovely coffee spots close by, good anD interesting High Street, very good restaurants. We would stay again!
On arrival we were met by Rosie who showed us around the property, it was lovely and clean with a nice enclosed garden. The property comes with the use of a private beach hut about a minutes walk away. We later met Nigel Roses daring assistant (otherwise known as dad) who lives next door. He couldn't have been more helpful from offering the use of an extra bike when our daughter turned up, local advice on where to go, and all round friendliness during our stay. We were very lucky with the weather enjoying lots of sunny hours, food and drinks sat outside the beach hut. The beach hut is has a ...more
Albion House is very comfortable and spacious. We had a lovely long weekend in Deal which we now know quite well. We will be back!
Perfect house, lovely to have a fireplace. Hosts very helpful when we needed internet password. Super close to town centre. Has all you need. Loved it and would recommend! :)
I stayed here for the half term break, it was very enjoyable, The cottage is near the centre of Sandwich and you can walk along the river. There is a playground nearby and Sandwich bay is within walking distance and boasts an unspoilt beach ( although if you drive access is £7). The cottage has a fenced garden, well kept, which my dog loved. Sandwich is near Ramsgate and Deal as well as other local attractions.I found the agency very helpful and will certainly book again.
Excellent holiday property. Light, airy, modern, well-equipped, tastefully decorated, plenty of room. Quiet location, but close to everything. We thought it was really good and would certainly stay there again.
A perfect location. Metres from the beach and local pub. Loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing (also making others jealous as they walked by. This place surely has the best location in Kingsdown) Interiors were spotless with plenty of room for our whole family. A lovely big walled garden also with large comfortable chairs to enjoy the sunshine We would highly recommend for quality, location and overall comfort factor.
We were 2 adults, 1 baby and small child staying over a long weekend in September. The perfect cottage and location for our seaside break! Kingsdown Beach was ideal for us. The Zetland Arms pub a short walk down a lane of gorgeous cottages. Deal is a short drive away with great restaurants and a lovely pier. The cottage itself was great for us, very steep stairs for a baby which is something to note. Thank you Keepers Cottages for our stay, we loved it and will be back!
Ideal property and location. Really comfortable and beautifully appointed to last detail. Would certainly use again
The accommodation was quirky, but fun and tasteful. it was ideal for getting to explore the area, lots of easy walking along the coastline
As two couples staying for a few days in Deal, we wanted a location near to the beach, pier and interesting shops. China Cottage met all the criteria. Although parking is not available immediately outside, it wasn’t a problem. We were parked outside to unload our luggage & free parking was only a short walk away. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Although the bedrooms were small, this was expected based on the age of the building. We would definitely book again!
Property was very well equipped and well furnished. Touches of luxury- lots of cushions, blankets and decorated for Christmas. Everything you could need and in central position to enjoy Deal. Only problem for us was that several of our group were tall. Ceilings were low in several places. Daughter hit her head on door frame, and beds were too short with footboards.
Wonderfully located property. I stayed with my sons 23 and 11 for a fortnight. The property was clean, tidy and very well decorated. It was nice to see local art rather than the usual beach themed decoration. Kitchen was really well equipped and we cooked meals after shopping local on high street greengrocers, butchers, bakery and harbour for fish. Only 1 groundfloor bathroom but not an issue for 3 of us. Courtyard garden sunny all day until 5pm ish. Locked our bikes under a covered area in garden accessed by a back gate. Bedrooms had loads of space and were comfortable. Lovely bedding and ...more
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
We had a lovely week here. Not having a car we found the situation very handy being a short walk to both Deal and Walmer.and with a bus stop 5 mins away for buses to Canterbury and Dover
Lovely house. Surprising heat gain, especially in the children’s bedroom for what is in effect a new build architect designed home. It wasn’t even especially warm weather during our stay. Everything else was first class.
Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully resourced with everything, literally, needed including welcome pack, thank you. Bed really comfy ( v important! ) lots of cosy touches which were much appreciated. You really wont need anything and the house was very clean. The living room gas fire was a bonus ( we are rubbish with lighting real ones) - we asked for the Nest app to be turned off so we control of the heating, which the owner very kindly did without question. A lovely break of 5 nights and whats more the sun shone!! Deal market was fun on Saturday morning, walked from Deal to Kingsdown on...more
Potters cottage was lovely. Great location and the accommodation was very comfortable. We were delighted to find a decorated tree on our arrival. The kitchen was very well equipped and the separate dining room a great asset. The only problem we had was with the shower which wouldn’t turn on. This was promptly fixed but still had low power. Overall a great stay and we plan to book again.
Amazing house. Perfect for families. Excellent facilities. We all loved it. Great customer service too. Would love to go back. The kids thought it was the best and the trampoline was a huge hit.
Lovely apartment, tastefully restored to a very high standard. We loved it! Quiet position in a pretty village with all amenities yet close enough to visit all the attractions on the Kent coast. For us, handy for the euro tunnel. We would certainly recommend and will return.
Cosy little flat, very clean and comfortable, excellent location. And plenty of hot water for long baths.
We enjoyed our stay at Downs Cottage so much. The rooms are so spacious, the beds super comfortable and the location was just incredible. Waking up to a sea view every day was such a treat. Thank you for having us.
Easy and comfortable and convenient. Very close to the centre of town and easy access to local amenities!
Lovely property, well equipped, clean and comfortable. nicely furnished and decorated with some original features and interesting finishing touches. Entrance on first floor and layout requires lots of stairs ; narrow and steep to top floor ensuite bedroom. Great location for short walk to town and beach but petrol station directly opposite and location on main road made it a bit noisy at times especially when the windows were open. The well stocked shop (Budgens) at the petrol station was very handy though. Driveway parking was a bonus but difficult to reverse out onto busy main road. Lots ...more
We spent Christmas week here, a week of terrible weather spent largely indoors except for some wet beach walks! The house was cosy and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the two ovens for cooking an excellent Christmas lunch and the large fridge. The open fire too added to our stay. Our criticisms : only 1 wardrobe over the 3 bedrooms and no shower. The 3 roll top baths with shower attachment however pretty were not easy to get in and out of, and the top floor bathroom needs a window blind. Fabulous position on the beach and near a pub. Would be wonderful to stay here in summer.
We booked the little house as an alternative to living in a hotel for a week as a base to see family and friends in the UK and have to say we were not at all disappointed. This place is a Tardis Spotless and very modern, it had everything we needed and was minutes from several little stores and Deal town centre and sea front. We will certainly use this house again on our next trip to the UK and it has changed our previous norm of always staying in hotels on vacations in the past Thanks very much Keepers Cottages Team!
It would take a week's holiday to merely find all the various books around at the appropriately named Writer's Cottage! There is a luxurious bath and a cute garden, and the well-stocked honesty bar was a lovely touch. Bonus points for being on the more independent and foodie end of the High St.
The cottage is lovely.. very quirky with some lovely features. We were a group of 6 adults so found the lounge furniture a bit limiting.we had to pull a couple of the chairs in from the kitchen, which was fine but they’re not designed to be sat in for long. One of the bedrooms didn’t have a wardrobe. Those are my only negatives.. The Xmas tree in the lounge was fab .. The cottage is perfectly situated , right by the beach and the high street . We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Captain’s Cottage The location is ideal, being close to the sea and town centre Whilst there is no parking outside the cottage (residents only for periods over 2 hrs), there is parking along from the castle so it wasn’t a problem. The cottage itself is lovely - lots of space and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are good too. Camilla and the team provided all necessary information and answered any queries promptly. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous cottage in a great location in the centre of Deal. Perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. A bonus that the bathroom is upstairs. Very pretty enclosed front garden that felt really private. We would definitely visit again.
We stayed in Alfred Square for a weeks break in January. The property met all our needs and is warm and comfortable. The house is in a great location and Keepers Cottages are very helpful and easy to deal with. We will return.
This is a beautifully finished and set-out apartment, and everything is finished to a really high standard. Large bedroom with good storage space and a desk that is perfect for laptop use; well-fitted out kitchen; and a huge living room with a very comfy sofa! Even though the weather was a bit hit and miss, the whole place felt very snug and comfortable. We stayed as a couple, with my partner who is a wheelchair user. There’s plenty of room to move around and the doorways are wide enough for a standard manual chair; light fittings were fixed at a good height; and the shower is easy to use as ...more
Directions to the apartment were good. Access for unloading luggage and carrying it up stairs to the front door less so. Unlimited free parking is about 15 minutes walk away. So beware if, like us, you are getting on a bit and not 100%. Inside, all was pristine, with low levels of lighting in most rooms. Furnishings were good and flexibility of seating very much so. Weather was sunny and warm so it took us a while to realise that there was no hot water. A call to Keepers quickly bore fruit and a plumber soon corrected it. Some of the initial guidance for the property could be updated; the ...more
We throughly enjoyed our stay, the loft was in an excellent position near the sea front and all the amenities of Deal. The flat was clean, comfortable and easy to relax in.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bowden Lodge . There were eight 70 year olds who were booked for last year but because of Covid, it was moved to this year. The accommodation is amazing everything you would want for a relaxing break. The size of the house and the grounds are wonderful. You do need a car to get about but my husband and I did a couple of long walks , one to St Margaret’s and another nearly into Deal. There are 3 pubs close by but only one the Zetland did food which is ok for pub grub, but the setting on the beach is amazing. They have thought of most things to make your stay exc...more
Spacoius and comfortable house and very dog friendly. Lovely sunny enclosed garden, everything you could need. Very helpful owner. Minutes from the beach and very centrally situated for walking to both Deal and Walmer.
We had a lovely week at the cottage and weather was excellent. The extractor fan in the bathroom on the first floor doesn't work. On the information leaflet it says bin collection is Thursday but it's Friday also a rota of which bin and week would be a great help. We would definitely visit again in the future.
Our first impression of the property was a tad alarming, as the fron door area was very dirty and uncared for as was the shared entrance. Although this is a shared entrance with the accommodation(s) above, unsure how many as we heard a lot of footfall and coming and going of the front door, it is also the rented properties guest’s first impression. However once inside the apartment nothing could be further from the first impressions, it was very clean, bright and well maintained. It was in great location with a short walk to the beach and all the other amenities. It is laid out well with 2 toi...more
Nice flat in a quiet location. Short walk to the beach and a superb pub close by. Highly recommended.
We had a great stay in this beautiful property. The location is fabulous and Deal (as ever) is such a nice town. We’ll be back
We really enjoyed our stay at 11 Duke Street which is really well located leading to the high street and very close to sea front. The house was lovely, well presented and cosy. Everyone at Keepers Cottages were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The cottage is a wonderful haven, the charming front garden is an invitation into the welcoming, cosy space within. The rooms all flow through comfortably and the decor has a great beach vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower is great. The garden is sunny with perfect shady spots and easy access for bikes to be stored at the rear. Fantastic to be able to go straight onto beach pretty much from both rear and front gardens. The sofas do not offer the best comfort and the dining area is a bit dark, particularly in Winter. We resolved this by putting a side lamp in the far corner ...more
Three generations together again after some years had a lovely and relaxing time at this comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment.
This was our second stay at Tavistock and hopefully there will be more to come. We love the property, especially the living space and the cottage garden. The location couldn’t be better. A long weekend in Deal is the perfect tonic and we look forward to our next return!
A quirky but lovely house, easily large enough for 12 guests. Bedrooms all beautifully decorated and all with en-suites or nearby bathrooms, which was very handy. Though some rooms have low ceilings and not easily accessible for tall or older guests. All rooms bar one have double beds - a choice of twin beds would have been better for some rooms. A large, modern and well-stocked kitchen made cooking easy and social. The living rooms felt like something out of a period drama! Sofas and chairs could benefit from updating - some were quite rickety! The house was incredibly warm and cosy for its s...more
Perfectly located on a quiet road on the edge of the conservation area, 2 minutes walk from the beach. Warm, comfortable, stylish and well-equipped, with a French deli, independent specialist wine shops, a butcher and numerous other lovely shops all just a short wander away. Lovely.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It's in walking distance to the sea & town which has really nice restaurants, bars & shops. It was also a fab base to visit the Kent coastline including Whitstable, Broadstairs & the RHDR railway. Deal is a very nice, friendly place. We'd love to visit again soon.
Excellent location, lovely town. Comfortable sofas needed in snug, proper shower desperately needed!
Loved our stay at The Victory. House, location, morning swims couldn’t ask for more! Great Vinyl and art to boot.
We had a wonderful time in deal The house was well equipped and very clean Location perfect! No negative points at all!
This is a beautiful, well maintained and a very high standard of fixtures, fittings and houseware. Might be an issue if you are tall due to low ceilings/doorways and a very steep winding stairway. However that said when booking such an old property that should be expected. Wonderful stay here and in Deal. Its not lost its charm. Well done everyone.
Quaint little house with beach theme throughout. Lovely and warm on a cold winters night. Few issues during our stay unfortunately but the hot water was fixed quickly. TV screen has dark patches making viewing difficult, bath towels are too small and kettle needs to be descaled! A water filter and mattress toppers would also be beneficial. Kitchen was very well equipped and welcome box was a very nice touch. As a last minute booking this was fine for our family however suites 2 couples more than a family with children as 2 double beds.
A really comfortable house, full of character, in a fabulous location. Town centre, pubs, restaurants and beach all within easy walking distance. As a party of six adults we found the accommodation was well suited to our needs. Our only disappointment was that the courtyard garden had not been well maintained.
We had a great stay in Middle Street - an excellent location and a very comfortable and quirky house to stay in. Near the sea and shops with a lovely garden to relax in.
Very nice boldly painted cottage with big bird theme! Comfortable master bedroom with rather small en-suite. Two other bedrooms, one only really suitable for children. Main bathroom downstairs could be inconvenient to some renters. Exceptional kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher would be nice but my husband was happy washing up! No recycling information on show on notice board in the kitchen. Weather was appalling but outside patio very welcome. Stairs were very steep if not mobile, bit of an effort for our 13 year old dog! Lovely location close to the beach. Parking information ver...more
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
