A lovely house with lots of space for family. Easy walking to the beach and the town. Communication with Keepers Cottages staff was good…couldn’t fault our stay.
Such a beautiful holiday house. Very well equipped and comfortable.very spacious and well furnished with lots of toys, puzzles and games.
A delightful and restful holiday cottage with spectacular views and extremely welcoming and helpful owners.
Lovely cottage, 5 minutes from sea and town. Good parking. Everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
We had a truly magical stay at Pip’s Lookout! The accommodation was fantastic, with a lovely, well-equipped kitchen and everything you could possibly need. The spacious living room opened onto a balcony with stunning views over the sea, while the incredibly comfortable bedroom offered an amazing 180-degree view of the English Channel. We spent hours watching the ships go by and trying to identify them — such a lovely way to spend time! Debby was a wonderful host — incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. She had so many great suggestions for places to visit and eat, which really helped us mak...more
A friend and I stayed at the property for three nights. We were very pleased with the accomodation it had everything we needed and more. The decor was very in keeping with the age of the property which we liked and it was in a good location to explore. The house was clean, tidy and spacious. Having the outside area was a bonus too and very welcome due to the warm weather. I would stay here again.
We stayed in Whispering waves for a week in June, our first visit to Hythe, the cottage was perfect for us as a couple but it would also be ideal for a family. Location was great, - a short walk to the promenade and beach with no road to cross, a short walk to municipal swimming pool, park and Waitrose. The house was clean, characterful, well stocked and had everything we needed. Nice private courtyard area. The location was quiet but you will get some road noise at the front of the house at commuter times. We would definitely stay again.
We booked Narayan for a last minute break to escape the unbearable heat in London. This is a beautifully furnished recently renovated property in a wonderful quiet location, in the historical centre, close to the beach and all the amenities one could wish for.. We loved our stay and hope to return again.
We absolutely loved our stay in Ramsgate! The house has been beautifully renovated, with gorgeous décor and a really cosy, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell a lot of care and attention has gone into every detail. The location is great too — shops are close by and the beautiful beaches are within easy reach. It was the perfect base for our stay and we felt at home straight away. We would happily come back and definitely recommend it!
We were so pleased with our stay at Carmel Cottage. The property was gorgeous with stylish furnishings and decor as well as lovely welcome amenities like Grind coffee and a tin of yummy biscuits. Plenty of room for everyone in our family to sleep and shower comfortably and enjoy the view of the ocean, too! So convenient to walk down to the Coastguard Inn for a yummy pub meal & pints. Would definitely stay here again! Management company Keepers Cottages was also very responsive and lovely to communicate with.
We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.
The apartment is exactly as described. It is in the perfect location on Harbour Street and has everything you need for an enjoyable, relaxing stay.
What a lovely place to stay. The house is well laid out, beautifully styled and very comfortable. The garden behind the house was so nice to be in for evening meals and there is a little table in the front garden to catch the sun for a first cup of tea in the morning. The owners are very generous in sharing their beautiful items, furniture, and grocery basics with guests. I felt very welcome and immediately at home. My family and I would love to return.
The house is charming, bright and fresh with a well equipped kitchen and thoughtful bottle of Cremant left for us. We were a party of 5 and it felt easily spacious enough for a few days. The kitchen is well equipped and we made lunch and breakfast for ourselves each day. The courtyard garden is sheltered and was a lovely place to read when the weather was a bit crummy on the seafront. We walked in to Deal a few times and had only very good experiences with the restaurants. It wasnt luxury (that wasnt what I was looking for) but very comfortable, clean, perfectly decorated and excellent value....more
Our second stay at Fig Tree House and I’m jealous of the owners! The house is kept beautifully with lots of thought put in for the convenience of those renting it. It is conveniently located to central Deal for its restaurants, shops, delis and cafes, plus a stones throw from the beach. Keepers are also very helpful to ensure your stay is seamless, as they quickly replaced a missing hairdryer. We’ve used them many times and will continue to use them for Kent-based holidays.
A lovely cabin, beautifully decorated with great facilities. Quiet location, walking distance to the local town and the sea front is a few minutes away. Lovely to relax in the hot tub.
I have stayed with Keepers Cottages several times now and they have never disappointed. I was unsure about this appartement a little as it was cheaper. But is was super clean, really convenient, just as comfy beds as the other places. The inside communal area of the flats weren’t super clean but this wasn’t the fault of Keepers and the flat itself was everything you would need for a short stay in Deal. Would go back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Willow Tree Lodge. It’s such a small, cosy place in the lovely village of Littlebourne, and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The lodge was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved waking up each morning and hearing the ducks – it really added to the peaceful atmosphere. We were hoping to spot a kingfisher too, but unfortunately didn’t see one this time. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, while also leaving us to enjoy our stay in peace. There are two great pubs within easy walking distance, although it’s worth not...more
I can’t recommend this property highly enough. Great location, on Deal seafront, perfect for wandering around the quaint little town, bars, restaurants on the doorstep. And ideal for many top golf courses in the area (if that’s your thing). The property itself is stunning, a lovely blend of character (the old pub), with a modern twist, added bonus of the cinema room, ample space for socialising, dining etc. and 5 en-suite double bedrooms, super comfortable and stylish. Sally the housekeeper was very attentive and helped with all the arrangements. For sure, we will go back one day.
Whitecliff is the loveliest house I've ever stayed in, and with a fascinating history too. Each of the rooms is glorious, and the view across the garden is perfect! Angela, the owner is very thoughtful and super helpful, and we made good use of all her tips for places to visit, eat and swim. We didn't know anything about Thanet or Birchington beforehand, but turns out this corner of Kent has great beaches and walks, a perfect sunset spot at Reculver, and plenty to do but nowhere's too busy. Altogether brilliant.
We stayed for one week at Wisteria Cottage in Deal and wished we could have stayed a bit longer. The house really felt like home, so comfortable, it has everything you'd need. Lovely large kitchen area, great garden to relax in and enjoy being outside. The location close to the beach is excellent. Deal is a lovely town with great shops and restaurants.
Beautiful spacious house close to the beach and seafront. Lots.of lovely delis and cafes nearby too
It’s our second trip back to Parsonage Farm and it didn’t disappoint, we benefitted from glorious weather so really made the most of the outdoor seating area. The location is great for us as the cycle routes around are very good and the owners left us the shed key so we could store bikes and golf clubs easily. I’m sure we will be back for a third visit.
Absolutely amazing cottage - luxury and comfort are not strong enough words to describe it !! I’ve never stayed anywhere so clean - big thumbs up to the housekeeping team Fabulous location !
This was the perfect place for a family holiday. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the beds! We all had a great time.
We booked the accommodation for the mens england sea angling team as we where fishing the home nations tournament in Kent The house was perfect in every way great space for everyone to prepare for the tournament Comfy beds, fantastic kitchen and dining areas and outside space The team loved it and we won gold
Lovely cottage and good location about 20 minutes walk from Sandwich town. Coop nearby and a lot of pubs. Highly recommend The Bell Hotel and The Crispin Inn. Not as many shops in the town. . Ramsgate, Dover, Broadstairs close for day trips. House well equipped and very clean. The stairs in the house are quite steep and parking is a problem.
I had a lovely short stay at this perfectly formed little house. It has been beautifully renovated and had everything I needed. As I was there in early March, I made good use of the woodburner! Customer Service was perfect too.
Beautifully presented apartment in quiet modern block in easy walking distance of town centre, railway station and bus stops. Provision of modern appliances (including Nespresso machine) but take own washing powder if needed.
Excellent stay with first class service from the team at Keepers Cottages thank you for all your professionalism
We had a lovely week at Valentine’s, very well equipped and comfortable. Such a central location, no need for a car. Great shops and food takeaways in walking distance .
We really enjoyed our stay at the drift Very clean and tastefully decorated Great location, close to all Amenities, Thank you Sandra x
Cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished. Very well equipped bar lack of microwave! Positioned centrally close to shops, coffee bars and pier. Very comfy beds in peaceful setting made for a great sleep. Only downside is lack of immediate parking so arriving at peak time made finding resident spaces tricky. We nailed that in the end!
We had a brilliant time at The Granary - the accommodation was superb, just as pictured. The location was idyllic with walks from the doorstep. So much to do in the area! Our hosts were fabulous - very friendly and knowledgeable, and the marmalade and fresh herbs went down a treat! Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful summer long weekend staying here as a family. The location was perfect and allowed us to have easy beach days with a young family. The house was comfortable and had all we needed, even games and colouring in for our kids! Thank you for the lovely stay and we would love to come again!
This is such a special house and a privilege to stay in a much loved family home. The interior design is gorgeous. The location is incredible and great to swim every day and hitch the ladder down to the shingle. Every day I said ‘wow’ as the view of the sea and sky from the huge windows is breathtaking. Peaceful location, beautiful sunrises. 2 min walk to the Coastguard pub, Deal pier kitchen for brunch, great walks in the area. THANKYOU !
Hi we’ve had a lovely stay with the family, house well equipped kitchen well equipped but house lacking chill out room, lounge not large enough for amount of people staying to chill in the evening and no outside furniture to sit outside which was a shame as weather was lovely
Lavender Apartment is immaculate and designed to a very high standard. There's a great little café opposite, and the beach is only a couple streets away. We were visiting family in East Kent and would difinitely stay at Lavander Apartment again in the future.
Printers Place is ideally situated for the centre of Deal, there was everything and more that you need at the property to enjoy your stay, the owners have covered every eventuality very well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would book there again. I was unable to get the hang of the parking meter in the nearby car park but found free parking nearby, if you turn right outside the property, then left, then right, go past the school, along that road, about 500 yards, you will find free parking.
Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend. Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.
Cliffeside Cottage is a beautifully presented and well equipped place to stay. This was our second summer stay in Kingsdown and we loved the sea views and easy access to the beach from the cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean and well thought out to make our stay easy and relaxing. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making the cottage a wonderful and welcoming place to stay. Kingsdown is a lovely place and we made the most of sunny coastal walks to St Margaret's Bay and Deal. There are lots of great food options and plenty of things to do for families with youn...more
Great locations and intriguingly designed interior offering a much larger space than you might think from looking at the house from the outside. It also benefits from having an exceptionally good fish and chip shop only a few doors down though sadly only open from Thursday through to Saturday. I recommend this as a restful and well appointed house in which it will be easy to relax. Should the weather not prove as wonderful as you would hoped. We had a great time there and swam every day and enjoyed it hugely
No better place than this to stay in Whitstable. Center location at the seaside between harbour and Oyster Company. The Cottage is truly a beautiful house and perfecty for 4 adults. It depends on the kids if they feel comfortable in the attic because it has very limited space, much like a small tent, but the view from the window is awesome. Parking in the vicinity is a problem. The house can be reached by car to unload and load without a problem, but free parking anywhere is almost impossible. Local car parks are not cheap. We used Justpark to find a parking for our 8-day stay. The only th...more
I stayed for 3 weeks in August and loved every minute. Nigel is a generous and accommodating host and I wanted for nothing whilst I was there. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean and fresh. The stairs are steep and narrow but perfectly manageable - I have a prosthetic knee and my mother is 86 but neither of us had a problem. The location is superb and having the beach hut is a lovely bonus. All the Kingsdown pubs are well worth a visit with great food options. The walk along the beach into Deal is good exercise and there are lots of cafes and restaurants there. There is also Uber...more
We loved our stay at the Pink House. The house had everything we needed for two families to have a great week in Deal. It’s is beautifully decorated and feels like a real home rather than a rental. Thanks to the owners and to Keepers Cottages who are great agents.
Location of prince’s cottage is great. Just a few minutes from beach and in to town. Stayed here the 2nd time. Keepers cottages service was great too.
Very enjoyable stay at Christmas House. Clean, comfortable and interesting property. Just beware if the stairs if you are a little unsure like me. Overall though we had a lovely, peaceful stay in this well positioned well equipped house.
We have rented a property through Keepers Cottage before, but this one really stood out for us. The house was really super clean, always a pleasant start to your holiday. Villa Vita is comfortably furnished, and thanks to the conservatory and garden, you have just that little bit of extra space to relax. The house is located a very short walk from the center and the sea. In addition, there are 2 supermarkets a short distance away, and right outside the door is a small park where you can stroll through. Furthermore, parking was absolutely no problem, something that is always a plus...more
We had to change our booking from the Pink House to Dexters at last minute because of building noise next door. We’ve stayed at Dexters many times in the past but had forgotten how steep and awkward the stairs are for people now in their late 70s. The house is great but won’t be staying there again!!
Had a wonderful week in this fantastic flat with sea view and cosy window seat Very comfortable bed and all you could possibly need for a restful stay … pubs and shops very close so no need to stray to far .. although there is plenty to explore with bus and train services close ., can recommend !
We had a wonderful time at Pebble Cove. The location was perfect, looking out to the seafront and within walking distance of historical sites, cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants. The apartment was really cosy and had everything we needed.
A lovely house in a great location. Close to Old Town, New Town, Railway station and shops. Lots of restaurants nearby too.
Kids friendly cottage with a spectacular view of the English Channel. A cottage with ample outdoor space and well maintained garden. We stayed during a heatwave and drought, but it was actually comfortable with the sea breeze and shades from the trees. The free to use electric charger was a nice surprise, and quite convenient.
Homely accommodation , welcoming and with provision for every need. Excellent location , minutes from the beach , the town and a variety of bars and restaurants.
Lovely cottage in a perfect spot. I struggled personally due to low water pressure bathroom and food waste handling but might not matter to others
Having visited and stayed in Broadstairs for many years we were very impressed by this house and its location in an area we had not visited before. The house was ideal for a 3 generation family and our 2 dogs with its enclosed garden and all the equipment provided . . The location was lovely with open country nearby and easy access to beaches not far away. The pub opposite and bakery next door came in handy.
We had a wonderful week at the cherry barn together with our sons and their girlfriends. Spacious, clean and very well equipped. We loved the garden en the possibility to make nice walks straight from the house.
This was an elegant and supremely beautiful and, more importantly, comfortable house. Our beds were divine and room sizes large. The layout was great for separating groups or family elements (as in a bathroom for each pair of bedrooms). The room colours and furnishings gorgeous. The temperature during the week was consistently over 30 degrees and yet most of the house felt cool. Sadly, it was too hot to play on the fabulous tennis court other than early in the morning - although the kids were unaffected by the heat. We appreciated all the racquets, balls, games and toys, of which there...more
The Bay is a conveniently located flat, a short walk from buses and shops. We travelled by train and it's a relatively easy walk to the property. From there it's a similar walk, but with some steep bits, to the harbour which is a spectacularly good restoration of the old harbour station and where there's plenty of choice for food and drink. There's plenty to see in Folkestone, but the buses are nearby for trips along the coast. The heating has been made very easy to control and the kitchen is well equipped.
Lovely cosy cottage convenient location. Very clean & tidy. Good train connections, ideal for holiday without a car.
This was our 4th visit, and again a comfortable stay in a cosy house. Everything is there for you, inc a lovely cream tea.
A very clean, comfortable and homely stay at sea breeze in Whitstable. Having a parking spot in a cool space was a real bonus in the hot weather. Only drawbacks were that in the heat this is a vey hot house with no fans available to use. We needed to sleep with windows open and unfortunately there was a busy, noisy car park situated directly next to the house. Other than that this was a fantastic house to stay in. Only a short walk to the sea and the town centre.
We had a lovely stay at Ravenscourt as a group of four friends. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the beach, with a handy cut‑through that everyone uses to get down to the seafront. The house itself is a charming Victorian terrace and beautifully furnished throughout, with a really welcoming feel. On‑street parking can be a bit tricky at times, but that’s fairly typical for Whitstable and didn’t cause us too much trouble. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities during our stay as we preferred to sit out in the garden, which was a lovely spot to relax. A couple of small things...more
I have mixed ratings for Portobello Cottage. The online description, cleanliness, and communication with host would be 4-5 stars. However, this property just didn't work for our family of 4: mom, dad, and two teenage daughters, all over 5'10" tall. The 3rd floor bathroom was not able to be used. The handheld "shower" was too small/short for any of us. We all had to share the second floor shower which was pretty small (could barely raise arms to wash hair, and no space to change clothes). Everything about the accommodation was just too small for our family--even though the property was exa...more
The cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfectly maintained in a great location. Unfortunately there were no fans and our arrival day was the hottest of our stay. The first night was unbearable. We rang Keepers Cottages the next day who contacted the owner who said that she was unable to obtain fans anywhere...we also couldn't find any in Deal either with the current hot temperatures. Surely with hotter climate, fans are something that should be standard and bought for the property during off season,.rather than when people start to complain during the summer. I therefore couldn't recommen...more
A gorgeous holiday home with plenty of space for an extended family, perfect location and lovely interiors, with a comfortable set up. Very well equipped kitchen. Quiet but close to beach and high street.
We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely and comfortable cottage in Whitstable. Very good bed and kitchen. It was nice we could bring our little dog with us. There are a lot of beautiful places around, from Canterbury, over the downs, to walks along the seashore.
Downs Cottage is a great place for an extended family holiday. We all LOVED the eclectic, (some may say eccentric ) decor and furnishings! Beds were comfy. Bathrooms bougie. Different outdoor spaces to sit were appreciated. Kitchen is very well equipped, especially if you like baking. Early mornings our little grandsons and I enjoyed exploring the beach immediately across the path, climbing rocks and trees. It’s just a shame that you need to be quite a strong swimmer to swim at this location, (I expect it’s possible elsewhere). We had a lovely time, please thank the owners.
Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cottage is nice and spacious. The hosts were gracious: left us cookies, some apple juice and even extended our checkout time since our train only departed at 2.30pm from Deal. The location was great as well, very close to the Deal Leisure Centre for holiday workouts, Deal Station and the town centre. Only issues we had was that the WiFi was quite bad so both my partner and I struggled to work remotely; and the bathrooms had a smell of mould. Overall nice place and if the hosts can sort out the two issues I talked about then I'd love to come back.
This was our second visit to Glen Hill, a family party of 19, including 6 children, and had a marvellous stay again. The house is very well appointed, and the gardens are lovely. The children explored every inch and we made good use of the tennis court, and the beach which is only a 10 minute walk.
Lovely place to stay in Whitstable and the location was great. Parking was a nightmare though , yes no permit was needed but it was so hard to park on the street and when we did manage to park the street is so narrow I didn't feel comfortable leaving the car as was worried about being hit or scratched. There is a carpark nearby but this was very expensive .That was the only downside to our stay would probably come and stay again though . The lovely arrival gestures of crisps, cookies and apple juice were a nice touch too
The Rabbit Hole is a lovely and very comfortable property. It is set in a rural location, but is only a short drive to the many places of interest along the Kent coast. The Rabbit Hole is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay, and has beautiful views over the countryside and towards the coast. The owners, Alan & Yvette, were very welcoming and most helpful during our stay. Our week passed by very quickly, and we look forward to returning to the Rabbit Hole again.
This cottage was very comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Its position for beach and pubs was excellent as well as being near local shops. It would be a squeeze for four adults but suits a family with two children. Only downside is the bathroom facilities being on ground floor not a deal breaker but a little inconvenient for some people. Nice to have off-road parking as road is narrow and busy.
We were a three generation family group of six adults, two toddlers and a six-year old, and dogs. Sycamores offered plenty of space in the house and the garden. The room full of toys was well-used and thoroughly enjoyed, as was the outdoor play area, albeit that the latter had seen better days. Sycamores was pretty-much perfect for our current family. We all loved it. The facilities in the house were very good with everything required for a busy family holiday. The location was quiet, rural and pleasant with access to interesting places within reasonable reach Full marks t...more
Great location by the sea with lovely restaurants nearby. Cosy and comfortable house and beautifully decorated. Great having downstairs bedroom and bathroom but not easy for people with limited mobility! Keepers cottage company very responsive and super friendly.
Beautiful and tasteful apartment with a lovely sea view. Beautiful antique items and paintings. Everything matches. It is also ideal that you have your own parking. The internet did not always work as it should. The 3-seater sofa in the living room needs replacing, I think. It is a pity because it fits nicely into the interior, but it is absolutely worn out. Keepers Cottage gets 5 stars from me because of the excellent service. Kind regards, Veerle Antwerp Belgium
We were a family of 6 adults and 5 children, age range 15 years to 5 years. The property was very much as described in the brochure, and was ideal for us. In particular, the bedrooms are well set out, and there are more than enough bathrooms to go round. Also, the property is very well equipped and is designed to cater for large groups. We did have one serious problem in that the swimming pool water on our arrival was green and opaque, and not suitable for swimming. We phoned Keepers Cottages, and they arranged for the pool maintenance engineer to call the next morning, The issue was quickly re...more
A very nice house, well situated close to all the fun stuff in Folkestone. I was concerned before we went that it might be noisy at night from bars and clubs, but in fact it was totally fine and quiet. Even the cars on the road outside are quite quiet from the front bedroom, which is right at the top of the house. Keepers are brilliant to deal with, e.g. I couldn't find the heating controls, but they talked me through it right away on the phone without delay or fuss. Folkestone has so much going for it, whether you're coming for a weekend or longer.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at St Mary’s House as it’s the ideal location for visiting my family nearby. It’s a lovely place for us to stay. It is spacious, with an extremely well stocked kitchen. Everything is well looked after, and it has a beautiful garden. Two pubs within walking distance that both serve great food is a bonus! The only thing that would make this even better for us would be a larger TV and more comfortable seating in the sitting room. We’ve enjoyed both our stays, and hope to be back
My children and I really enjoyed our stay at Chalet 10, it was super comfortable and clean The park is well maintained and the other guest were all respectful and quiet The customer service from the team there is excellent The pool is very clean and well looked after Would highly recommend and visit again
We stay in Deal often - this was one of the very nicest cottages we have come across. The stairs to the top floor are extremely steep so something to bear in mind!
We had a wonderful stay in Deal. The apartment is in the perfect spot on the High Street and near the beach. We loved the terrace, and people watching from the bay window. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished. Loved it!
The cottage is very beautiful and really cosy. There's everything you need on a high level standard. The absolute highlight is the hot tub which we used everyday. The only thing we didn't like was the very busy road bordering the garden. We wanted to go for some walks but couldn't find nice paths and walking on the pavement on the road really wasn't any fun.
Very comfortable, well equipped house, with everything you could need, just a few minutes walk from the sea. Very comfortable beds too. Less than a minute walk from the seafront and the high street. Enjoyed our stay very. I h.
The Artist’s House in Deal is a very large, beautifully spacious home packed with personality. It’s so colourful, characterful, and fascinating that every day brought a new detail to notice. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like it. The location is brilliant for walking to the seaside and local shops, with lots of places of interest just a short drive away. Having the lovely piano for my grandson’s birthday trip made it extra special. Keepers Cottages were exceptionally helpful from start to finish; they went above and beyond. I will definitely book through them for our next holiday!
Beautiful house, all so well done, in an excellent location - 2 mins from town centre Lovely garden, lovely touches like there being coffee, salt pepper etc there for you Great holiday, thanks
The Loft was the ideal location to discover Whitstable for the first time. The loft is perfect for a couple or young family and was one of the few places we could find that was central and had reserved off-street parking. The loft itself was beautifully decorated with all the facilities needed for a 'home from home' stay. The location is excellent, with the apartment only a 2-minute walk from the beach and the high street, which features a great range of independent shops and a supermarket. Whitstable has a lot to offer and we enjoyed long walks along the seafront to Tankerton and back, alw...more
The cottage was a very comfortable and roomy stay for a family of 5, where a quite space if needed could be enjoyed. Little touches of welcome were most appreciated and added to our Christmas experience. We very much look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Property in a great location for everything you need for your holiday...lounge furnishings a little tired and not the most comfortable and some of the kitchen equipment could have been better thought out...however we enjoyed our stay and the agency very helpful throughout
Excellent property in good condition and comfortable. Great location for the beach and beach bars/restaurants. 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and station.
Sea view was perfect! Stunning views, great location, comfortable apartment and very funky furniture too. Would absolutely stay here again. Also loved Folkestone and explored the area a lot with walks, beach sauna, live music at the harbour arm, and the lovely silver screen cinema. Fabulous!
A fabulous location 5 minutes from the sea front and 20 minutes walk into Deal. Ideal location for visiting Dover and Canterbury - we caught the train to both destinations. Downstairs was very comfortable with a variety of lovely seating areas outside. The bedrooms were comfortable although hot with the current heat.
A three generation, long weekend family break, spent in a beautiful modern house/conversion. The Barn, Sandwich is just lovely, tasteful touches to each room, can't think of anything we needed that wasn't on site. A good location to all the coastal towns we wanted to visit. We all agreed the accommodation was true to the online photo gallery. Only suggestion is, due to the extreme heat UK is experiencing, the huge windows and doors at the back of the house would benefit from maybe partial blinds option for guests. Other than that we would have no hesitation revisiting this property. A big...more
This was my second stay at The Corner House, and once again everything was spotless. The house is beautifully maintained and has a lovely enclosed courtyard, which is perfect for my little dog. The location is ideal – just a couple of minutes’ walk from the seafront and only a short stroll to the high street, making it easy to enjoy everything Deal has to offer. I would definitely recommend The Corner House to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away.
Fabulous accommodation, well equipped with lovely rooms. Superb location with breathtaking and atmospheric views of the sea - whatever the weather! Conveniently located next to the Zetland Arms. Attending a family wedding at nearby Ripple Court, so less opportunity to avail ourselves of all the nearby amenities. Highly recommended and sad to leave.
From the moment we stepped into The Abode, its character and warmth were simply enchanting. The careful restoration of the 15th-century cottage, paired with modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and Sky glass TV made our stay both cosy and convenient. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to my parents place, the Abode is nestled among charming shops and riverside walks, yet surprisingly quiet. Best of all, our dog was welcome. Truly a perfect stay—already planning a return!
This is a lovely, large house, originally built in 1712 and updated to keep many of the original features. We loved it and I felt it was a privilege to stay here. It's large. The two main bedrooms are separated by a ground floor corridor and have separate staircases. This makes it ideal for two couples to share. The children's room (low ceiling) is above one of the main bedrooms. The property is built around a small, completely enclosed outdoor courtyard, so you have private secure outside space with a table and chairs. Two bathrooms, one en-suite to one main bedroom and one in the other ...more
We had a fantastic stay at Poplar Farmhouse and Barn. Nine of us met up to celebrate our friendship of over 45 years, and the roomy and comfortable farmhouse and barn met our needs perfectly. We especially loved sitting in the warm, sunny summerhouse while looking out at the garden, and enjoyed the views from the outside benches. The location was perfect for visiting the lovely town of Sandwich, a run out to Deal and a trip to Margate for lunch and to see the Tate. Comfy beds, plenty of food storage options, lots of parking, lovely grounds... all perfect.
The Cow and Cockle is quirky and bijou as stated. We stayed for a week and to be honest it was a bit too small for us having been used to a larger property hence the title of my review. The house is well equipped with everything that we expected and I enjoyed sitting in the courtyard garden except when the pub down the road had a karaoke evening! The location of this proprty is ideal for exploring all of the delights of Deal and handy for shopping. You are literally just round hte corner from the Saturday market and high st. The bed was comfy, great towels. We had a few issues with the f...more
Lovely cottage, quiet and convenient for the beach, bright and warm and everything we needed, parking excellent, couldnt have asked for more.
A welcoming and cosy period cottage in a great location. Fabulous to be so near the beach. Many attractive design features. Enjoyed the TV with so many streaming options. Parking OK nearby. Not great for tall people over 6ft/1.80m (low doorways, beams) or anyone not confident re steep stairs that turn corners. Ground floor rooms quite dark in the morning - until the sun comes round. We had issues with lack of kitchen equipment and not enough towels (eg for kitchen, downstairs loo).
The cottage is in an ideal location, with fantastic views out over the sea and over to France, and you can go for walks from the front door without needing the car. The Smugglers Inn and village shop are within walking distance and both are excellent for food and supplies. You can also walk down to St Margaret’s Bay to the beach and the Coastguard pub for food, also excellent. We had a lovely holiday and I would recommend this as a place to stay.
Great place to stay for exploring local Kent towns - you do need a car to get out and about. Nice pub a short walk away serving perfectly acceptable food. Property itself is lovely - exceptionally clean and comfortable, and very well equipped.
amazing property - miles above the standard holiday cottage Brilliant location right on SSSI shore
The Cottage was delightfully decorated and well equipped. It was very comfortable and was a relaxing place to stay. We liked the well maintained courtyard.
We loved our stay at west cliff, it was perfect for a multi generational seaside break. The spacious kitchen area opening onto the garden was great for socialising. The toy room was well stocked and a huge hit with our four year old. Gorgeous decor throughout and everything we needed.
We had a wonderful family holiday at Downsview. There was plenty of space for us and four small children. The garden was enclosed making it a safe space for them to play ( and kept the dog from escaping!) The views were amazing. Keepers Cottages staff were always very helpful when contacted.
Ivy House was a stunning property in a wonderful location, close to the sea and the centre of Deal. During our stay we were very lucky with the weather and so we made good use of the beautiful garden, relaxing in this space (after we had got used to the intrusive cameras.) The staff at Keepers cottages were extremely helpful and we would certainly use them again when visiting Kent in the future. Overall this is a lovely spacious house which has everything you need ,for a seaside holiday in Deal.
We stayed here for a week with family and it was honestly the best house we could’ve wished for. we enjoyed the garden in sunny weather, stayed indoors and cocooned on the couch during rain and loved to play table tennis in the barn. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was also a lovely walk away from the pub and other amenities. In case we go to Kent again with family, we would love to book the Moat Farm House again! It truly felt like home for a week.
We enjoyed staying at Noggin, and found that it has been beautifully decorated and presented. For our family however, we found it quite tight space-wise. We found the spiral staircase to be restrictive for taller people, especially going down to the kitchen. The low ceiling in the kitchen was also restrictive for our son, who couldn't stand up straight in there! We found the table and chairs in the kitchen to be in a tight space and getting in and out was a bit awkward. We also found the ensuite in the master bedroom to be very tight, and thought just a loo and basin in there would have suited...more
The Bothy suited us well. The owner, Chris, was quick to respond and rectify a problem with an alarm. Thank you Chris. Despite knowing that no-one could see in, not having window blinds in the bathroom and ensuite was a little off-putting. Having a receptacle for recyclables in the utility room would be helpful as would a tea caddy in the well equipped kitchen area. All in all we would recommend The Bothy to others and we may return sometime ourselves.
We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous house. It’s beautifully presented, really well equipped and in a fantastic location. Parking was easy, which was a real bonus. The customer service was excellent too — we had a couple of minor issues during our stay and they were dealt with incredibly quickly and efficiently. The only slight inconvenience was that the second bathroom is on the lower ground floor, so we didn’t end up using it. Overall, a fantastic property in a great location, and we would happily stay again!
We enjoyed the lovely garden, resplendent with rose bushes in full bloom, and our dog appreciated the outdoor space. The cottage is generally comfortable but could use some upgrades. The carpeting had some stains on the stairs and we were asked to pay for extra cleaning, though we did not feel we were responsible and there was no appropriate equipment for keeping the place clean. The location is excellent for getting to the train and grocery as well as just a short walk from the High Street and a couple more blocks to the sea.
This is a pretty, comfortable home in a great location. Although small, we liked the outside space with its table and extra seating. We would have appreciated alternative bedding as the weather was very warm and the duvets too heavy. Overall an almost perfect holiday home.
Lovely accommodation overlooking the sea. Small but everything we needed for 2 nights. Plenty of outside space and quiet as not yet full season. Beach was busy with locals as it was a weekend. Only downside was lack of local amenities, no shop for supplies and only one place to eat within walking distance. Would stay again, thank you
Great beautiful Tudor cottage which provided a lovely reading experience of the family’s time living there. Very good location for the surrounding beaches and walks so many fields surrounding. So peaceful but the open garden was a bit difficult in a dog friendly cottage as not secure but our dog loved it like us & to be fair we knew it wasn’t 100% enclosed. The light reflecting glass in rear & side windows was great but at night you were able to see directly into the shower…..we overcame it by showering before dark but really there needs to be blinds. The bedding would have been nicer if c...more
we have stayed at the Barn several times. It is perfectly positioned for our family - near the town, Sandwich Bay, and lots of interesting things to do. The property is comfortable, with an enclosed garden.
We had a lovely few days visiting Whitstable, Canterbury and the surrounding areas. The cottage was clean, comfortable, dog friendly and a very nice place to stay. We left our car parked in the street as spaces were hard to come by, but we just used the bus or train, or walked instead so it was not a problem.
Penny Farthing Cottage is comfortable, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location is great - just a few minutes walk to the seafront and to the high street.
This house is delightful but unfortunately has been sadly neglected in certain areas...the patio window needs replacing, plinths in the kitchen are all loose, shower needs updating, lighting system is far too complicated in the rooms, some blinds are broken (in the garden lounge). When we were there it was baking hot and I can't believe that a house like this doesn't have a fan anywhere?! Also the outside table needs a parasol for baking hot weather! Only two saucepans in the kitchen and no colander! The house needed cleaning properly, all the kitchen cupboards were quite grubby on the fronts....more
Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely deck area in the back garden for morning sun, coffee and relaxing. Very close to the beach (3 mins walk) and extensive coastal paths. Great food and drinks can be had at the lovely Zetland Arms.
Ideal property for myself and my husband. Very comfortable and spacious. Also a great location in Deal. It was nice and quiet, but handy for the beach and the town.
Cottage was perfectly equipped, stairs are extremely steep, and some doorways are quite low. This is our third trip to Deal this year. Keepers Cottages have a fantastic selection of places to stay. We will be back!
Great location and perfect for stays with dogs. Bedrooms lovely. Sweet little courtyard garden. Lounge comfortable. Kitchen could do with updating. Hardly any work tops for preparing food, musty smelling cupboards and very random cupboard full of owners collectibles. Overall though a good stay.
Lovely Cottage and a very nice stay. Only issue was there are no bins for recycling - just one wheely bin outside, so we left cardboard beside that and put glass in other people's bins. Otherwise was great.
We had a very pleasant stay. The house had everything we needed for everyday life. We would gladly come back.
Bun Penny apartment is lovely. Very clean and well positioned. We could see the sea from the side balcony. Lovely for sitting out there in the sun.The double bedroom leads onto another balcony at the back of the property. There is parking for one car in the secure, gated car park. This is accessed from Charles Street due to the one-way system (see Google Maps). A lift took us up to the apartment on the second floor. The double bedroom has an ensuite. I had the twin bedroom and it was just a few steps across the hall to the bathroom. There are no light switches for the bathroom. It seems to wor...more
Pond cottage was a lovely place for a peaceful stay. The right balance between charm and comfort. A drive away from shops and pubs. The garden was a great spot for alfresco meals and relaxation.
1. Good points * Location excellent. The High St 5 minute walk one way and the beach 5 minute walk the other way * Well equipped and pleasant kitchen/diner. The small seating area just outside the kitchen doors was ideal for the good weather we enjoyed 2. Not so good * We visited at the end of August and perhaps suffered because it was the end of the season because we found the property tired and scuffed in places, i.e., plants in the garden were over grown and needed trimming, door hinges needed oiling, some paint work needed touching up and generally we thought the place needed a deep ...more
We had lovely time. All was absolutly perfect. I would Reccomand to all of you. Atmosphere, location, warmess
Absolutely loved Oldestairs House. The bedrooms are great. The reception rooms are generous and comfortable. There's a wonderful, relaxed ambiance to the house which adds to the holiday vibe. There are some fabulous walks from the door. The weather was terrible, but the house has enough room to accommodate the great British vacation. Ubers in the area are also really easy to get so we could walk to St Margaret's Bay and taxi back when the rain came in. The games room could do with a little love, and we missed the football table (which appears in the photos, but was not in the house). I would...more
Had difficulty seeing signage in pelting rain - really is a hideaway. Loved the house and garden. Just minutes from everything. Everything we could want in kitchen and plenty of loo rolls. Comfy beds and good bedding. Continual trouble with tv which none of us could sort out. Plenty of games and lovely space for getting together. Never got around to using hot tub but it looked great.
Very comfortable, nicely furnished and good garden area. Bonus of free parking is a great advantage in Deal. Enjoyed our second stay at this property.
We booked a stay with our children and grandkids (plus 1 dog!). The property was a perfect size for our needs. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. Plenty of bathrooms! An excellent choice for a family holiday. We really enjoyed our time there and love the quiet feel of the coast along the Deal/Walmer/Kingsdown front. We will definitely return to this area.
We found the flat comfortable and the completely fenced in garden was a real plus for our dogs. There was an annoying muddle up with collecting the key from the box - the wrong number was given to us so it required quite some jiggery pokery to get into the flat - I was glad we did not arrive out of hours. I will say that it would have been helpful to have had the soda bed already made up as there were 4 of us and there was some bed linen missing - but this was quickly resolved. The bed was comfortable but my teenagers told me that the sofa bed was most uncomfortable - you could feel the metal...more
Our family will have been holidaying in Kingsdown for 100 years in 2033 and I think we all must've stayed in every house that is for rent in North and South Road! Rum Bosen is lovely, close to the beach with a practical back garden (table/long washing line). The front garden could be cut back a lot to have more space and light - the front gardens in North Road are little havens. Otherwise it's all as expected from a two up/two down in North Road!
The bed was the most comfortable one we've ever slept in.The sitting area in the bedroom was very relaxing. The bathroom was quirky but lovely .unfortunately we stayed during the heatwave which the house was not equipped for. The kitchen and utility rooms were scorching hot. Some blackout blinds are desperately needed and also in the front room. There are no fans anywhere to use . The kitchen was well equipped. The utility room was very dirty with weeds growing indoors. We left it cleaner than we found it. When it rained lots of water came in under the back door . The excuse of a small gar...more
We had a lovely stay at historic, charming, spacious Sonnet Cottage (for 4 of us) in July, in safe, peaceful surroundings. Far better equipped than we thought it would be, with some basic comestibles that we weren’t expecting such as tea, coffee, rice, sugar. Delightfully quiet & rural, yet conveniently near Sandwich. Spacious garden and lots of games to keep kids happy. The local Co-op is excellent. Well stocked & with helpful staff. Kirsty at Keepers Cottages was responsive & helpful when we needed advice. Some people might be disappointed there is officially no starter pack ...more
Very cute cottage in a great location just a few paces from Kingsdown beach. Tastefully decorated and warm but was unfortunately in a rather 'tired' state for our stay. The beds were not of a good standard and the cottage was in need of a deep clean and some 'TLC' fixes. Communication from Keepers Cottages was excellent however.
We booked this property due to the bathroom/bedroom ratio. Also that it stated beds could be made into twins. Which as mature women was a positive plus. Despite two requests, on arrival only one room was indeed made up as a twin. It was then inferred that not all made were usually offered! And they didn’t have enough bedlinen to make them all as twins. Had this been made clear we would have chosen another property. The property itself is too small for 8 adults which wasn’t made clear and is misleading. The bunk room is so small there is nothing in there but the bunk beds and you have to sh...more
Perfect location with fantastic views. Whistable is a lovely location and with this house you are close to everything.
Great location, nice and comfortable and lovely small garden to relax in. Perfect place to stay to enjoy Deal!
We really loved the house, surrounding and location of this house. There is plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. We truly can recommend this place for your stay!
We had a week at Poppy cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we stayed in the heatwave but the cottage stayed lovely and cool. The location is fantastic for pubs and the beach and we had some very beautiful scenic walks. We loved kingsdown so much we are thinking of moving there. 10 out of 10 stay
We enjoyed our stay so much, the cottage is beautiful, well kept and has all the comforts you need for stay. It’s also Well located, two minutes from the beach, and near the vibrant town Centre
Such a beautiful cottage! Has a secure cute garden with bbq, tables & chairs. The two bedrooms are great size with two double beds so comfy with ceiling fans. WiFi & smart tv. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need (baking, pots, cooking utensils, some condiments, dishwasher etc) everything so clean. Brilliant location for pebble beach 10 mins, shops less than a minute walk, harbour 10 mins, boat trips, seafood etc. you can walk promenade for miles. Highly recommend
This holiday home provided a wonderful space for my family to make some special memories. We were a multi generation family with the age range from 90 to 2! It worked so well. This is our 6th stay with Keepers Cottages and they are undoubtedly the most friendly and helpful team. Their customer service is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. We popped in to see them at their beautiful offices opposite Deal Castle and had a coffee. Highly recommend them and they have so many wonderful holiday homes.
As a family of 5, Blue Skies was a perfect place for a weeks vacation, with ample space to spread out. It was very clean and comfortable and well facilitated. Location is ideal to explore town and beach.
We loved our stay at the cottage. The house itself was lovely, very well provisioned, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location was ideal: close enough to town to make everything easy, but far enough away to feel like a proper escape. The large garden was a real highlight, and it was wonderful to have the beach nearby as well. There is also a great pub close by, which was very convenient, and as it closes at 8pm there was no noise disturbance in the evenings. The only small point to note is that the deck could probably do with an update, as it is sta...more
The cottage is well situated and well appointed. It is clean and offers excellent facilities. There are lots of glasses and plates in the kitchen. Strangely enough we could not find a vegetable peeler: it would be good to check the basics are covered. However we are delighted with our stay and would recommend the cottage to family and friends.
Overall this is nicely refurbished accommodation in a good location near shops and the beach. It has been quirkily accessorised, well furnished and nicely decorated. However there were sadly lots of niggles. Kitchen is small, fridge opens on the wrong side - the kitchen door and wall obstruct access. The cookware provided is not safe, pans are flimsy and tip over on the hob. The utensils are cheap, the tongs do not work! No privacy blind on the landing window. Washbasin in the bathroom on the middle floor is too small for the tap, water splashes everywhere, no shower over the bath, the en sui...more
Very spacious house, well situated for Dumpton Gap beach (15 min walk), a further 15 mins to get to Broadstairs itself. Lovely big kitchen and a really nice garden, not sure why there are not any pictures of the garden available. Beds really comfy. The only thing it could do with are some fans, it was very hot the week we were there and they would have been appreciated. Keepers Cottages are an excellent company to book with, my second time of using them, you can actually get to speak to someone if need be, can’t fault them!!
Chalet No. 5 was perfect for our family weekend away. It’s exactly like the photos and we were very comfortable there. The stairs are very steep (as pictured) so my father took the downstairs bunk room. The horse box cafe next door was a lovely addition and her hot drinks and yummy breakfast sandwiches were delicious. She is only there at weekends and during school holidays though. The walk to the beach is very quick and easy (although uphill on the way back) and the two pubs at the beach were very welcoming. We would definitely come again.
Stone’s Throw was a great place to stay for the weekend. The cottage was clean and comfortable and provided us with all we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was super too.
The cottage was in an excellent location for both the beach and shops. The cottage was well stocked with all kitchen and beach equipment you would need. We had a great time but the let down was the general tiredness of the cottage which was not as clean as we would have hoped. The garden was very overgrown and whilst great for our dog could not be sat in with rotten apples everywhere and dirty garden furniture. The pictures advertising the cottage are not reflective of the tiredness and with changes in furniture, the garden and the kitchen colour do not show the cottage as it is now. In a...more
we have stayed at Poplar Farmhouse several times, and find it very comfortable, and the perfect house for our family. There are many tourist places to visit, as well as some wonderful beaches to cool off in the hot weather. We took our dog who was well contained in the enclosed garden. Thankyou.
I stayed at the Old Cottage on a week that was a mix of typical British weather. The property is right near the beach and town, so on a sunny day when just heading to the beach or going for a walk the location would be great. However on the days its raining and you want to go explore the area, you may find this is a bit of hassle as the nearest on street parking is over 10 mins walk away or you are willing to pay for a car park and move your car during the day (almost every car park is short stay). The property is comfortable enough, on arrival we had a nice hamper and it had all the accesso...more
Ideal little place for a quiet break, perfectly located for the beach and town. Everything provided for your stay but could do with a little updating of furniture, especially beds which were all singles and a little uncomfortable. Lacked storage/hanging space in the bedrooms and shower doors stiff to open.. Provision of kitchen equipment good but again could do with a little updating especially glasses and mugs - only one wine glass.Although there were 4 garden chairs there wasn't a table so we were unable to eat outside which would have been lovely. Overall it is a lovely place and meeted...more
We stayed at Skippers for ten days during the school summer holidays. Found it comfortable and had all we needed for our stay and loved all the quirky details and also the location. So near the pier, beach and the town whilst being part of the Old Town.
A small cottage - ideal for couples - very close to the beach and we were able to park outside for free which is a bonus in Deal. On the downside - we felt that the absence of an instruction manual in the house and book explaining about local facilities was disappointing. There is also no shower - with the shower attached to the bath either providing hot or cold water not a mix of both. Overall it was good value for money and provided a nice break by the sea.
We arrived with our guide dog puppy, and our delivery van of online shopping to find no message, no keys, no emergency contacts, owners not there to give us keys and explain parking etc as promised and no key press code. Amazingly after several phone calls to Keepers Cottages office we got hold of someone. They had no idea but said they would try to contact the owners. After 15 minutes they called to tell us where to find a key and apologise that the person meeting us had left early. No idea why they didn’t bother to contact us by phone / text / email or leave a note or inform the keepe...more
It’s a nice small cottage, but please mind your hat. It’s walking distance to all nice places within Deal. The courtyard looks nice on the photos, but unfortunately it was not nice sitting there.
We had a beautiful stay at Droveway house for a long weekend. The property is situated on a private road, in a quiet secluded area. The house itself is completely idyllic and even better than the pictures. It is big, plenty of room and a generous living space. It is a very short drive into whitstable, (we didn’t walk it) and Tankerton beach is very close by. The owner left out toys and great little bits for our two young children which they loved. The interior and design is in keeping with the house but also modern; excellence finishes. A few minor points; mirrors in bedrooms needed...more
Bathroom in single bedroom has peeling paint on walls and ceiling, rusty shower rail and mildew round shower tray and ceiling. The extractor fan does not work. A sign asks you to only use immersion heater when showering, waiting 30 mins for water to heat. The only hanging space that is not padlocked is in the double bedroom and had clothes hanging in it. The removable secondary glazing on every window had dust and insects trapped behind it. This is a good house in a great location, the garden is lovely, and would be a great stay with some thorough cleaning and re-decoration. The people at Keep...more
We had a cozy stay at Bertie Cottage. Lovely feel with the fireplace too. The cottage was well equipped. Arrival was a bit unclear, it would be helpful to have the name of the cottage on the back gate, as we arrived late afternoon and it was already dark. The pictures sent beforehand of the street were blurry and unclear (in the end a neighbor needed to help us find it and even she found it difficult to define which it was). The floors squeak a lot and you literally can hear the neighbors talk, but that’s the vibe of an old house. I’d probably get a bit more comfier bed that doesn’t make a sou...more
Beautiful holiday let had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Location was wonderful and cottage was spotless as well as very well equipped.
location: property is right next to a railway line and opposite a caravan park. we experienced excessive noise from both. we also (and this is nothing to do with keepers cottages or the owner but important to say) experienced some racially aggravated harassment from around the immediate vicinity of the property during our stay. the area felt quite hostile to Black people. the following is edited/extracted from feedback email sent directly to the owner: general cleaning and maintenance — we had a blocked shower, and a blind was hanging off the wall on arrival. the place looked as though i...more
Excellent location and very quirky building however we found it very noisy (creaky) and the strange layout wasn’t ideal for a family. It would benefit from a deep clean. Overall it was ok for the price but we like a bit more luxury when on holiday.
