Ravenscourt is the kind of house that guests leave talking about. A beautifully designed Victorian townhouse just moments from the beach, it has been designed by Brooke Copp Barton Interiors with great attention to detail. High quality brands such as Otto, Perrin & Rowe, Maitland & Poate and Fermoie all make an appearance, while feature wallpapers and pieces of artwork including one commissioned from a local Whitstable artist add character throughout. The ground floor is generous and sociable, with multiple seating areas that give a group of eight plenty of room to spread out. The large sitting room has a wood burner for cosy winter evenings and the open plan kitchen and dining room is the heart of the house; well equipped with a central island and bar stools and a separate dining area. French doors open from the kitchen onto a large enclosed south facing garden, a genuine suntrap in summer and a lovely spot to return to after a day on the beach. Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms and family bathroom, and on the second floor is the principal bedroom with ensuite shower room, and lovely far reaching views over the golf course. All four bedrooms have blackout lined curtains, Emma mattresses and premium cotton linen from The Secret Linen Company - the sort of details that separate a good night's sleep from a great one. The playroom houses a trunk full of children's games, and full fibre broadband runs throughout. Ravenscourt is perfectly located between the seafront and the main shopping streets which have an abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs, and independent boutique shops. Whitstable also has a thriving arts scene, and live music is a popular feature in many of the pubs. It also has the iconic fishing harbour, where you can watch the fishing boats come and go or book a trip out to the legendary Maunsell sea forts on the historic Greta, or maybe go seal watching in a vintage lifeboat. Oh and don’t forget to try some oysters which made Whitstable famous.
