Mary's Cottage is an idyllic seaside cottage, which has been beautifully renovated to provide a comfortable and relaxing space. Nestled amongst a cluster of fisherman's cottages in Kingsdown, you step right out onto the seafront which is full of pretty coloured beach huts. The cottage has three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The garden is a real sun-trap with a grass and patio area, perfect for a barbecue in the summer. The cottage is ideal for families, and is pet friendly too, so no one needs to miss out on the fun. There are two pubs very close by, The Zetland Arms and The Rising Sun and the pretty village of Kingsdown is only a short walk away. If you can drag yourself away from this idyllic setting, the vibrant town of Deal is a short drive, or a lovely beach walk, and in the other direction is a fabulous walk along the beach or along the iconic white chalk cliffs to St Margaret’s Bay and beyond so plenty of things to do, places to explore and history in which to immerse yourself.

Lovely cottage just yards from the beach

For visiting family in Deal, Mary's Cottage in Kingsdown was a good choice. Being just around the corner from The Zetland Arms and close for invigorating walks along the beach, the location was ideal. We would love to rent Mary's Cottage again in the future.

We had a lovely stay and the family loved the cottage which was comfortable. The only drawback with the place is the parking. The cottage is in a private road and residents are very territorial about parking outside their properties with signs saying not to park outside ( even though no legal right to do so) so you have to find a park elsewhere as the property doesn’t have a designated spot which makes loading car a bit difficult . The road is also very busy with cars visiting the nearby Zetland pub which is at the bottom of the lane. Apart from that small glitch the property is well situated for the coast . Would be nice if property could supply some sun loungers or deck chairs to sit in or take up to the beach .

There was a lot of pressure on this mini break. I wanted to bring my ailing 85 yr old mum and energetic 2.5 yr old daughter somewhere they would both be happy and well catered for. And iOS be able to tend to the different needs. It was perfect. The team at keepers cottage were fantastic talking through our very specific requirements.
Secure sunny garden
Multiple bathrooms
A hop and skip to the beach.
Kitchen well stocked
More than that the cottage is beautiful, homely, and very clean.
And I got to do what I love, morning swim in the sea.
And my husband and dog joined us and they too loved it.

A potentially stressful break was exactly the getaway we all needed. Thank you so much.

Had a lovely Easter weekend in this cozy cottage. In a lovely position right by the sea with a great pub nearby. Very comfortable inside & every thing you need. Short drive to Deal for shops, restaurants and the buzz of a small town. Kingstown was such a pretty village wi5h friendly locals. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

A charming cottage very near the beach at Kingsdown, and perfect for a seaside break.
The kitchen is well equipped, and the furnishings are of good quality and contribute nicely to the comfy interior.
The area is quiet at night. There are no street lights in the area, which makes for pleasant stargazing on a clear night.
Keepers Cottages provides a very helpful and professional service.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mary's Cottage and would like to return. There were a few tweaks
that could be done - the door handle of the loo in the loft came off when we opened it on first day!
And the smoke alarm is soooo loud!! None of that mattered to us. The only slight deal breaker
is the very hard beds. Is there any way they could introduce toppers? Am I sounding like the Princess
and the Pea?

This charming cottage is attractively presented and ideally situated for the beach at Kingsdown and access to the coastal path.
The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The rear garden is sheltered and private, easy to relax in.
There are two pubs nearby offering food and during my stay noise was not a problem, and it was essential to have the windows open at night!
Parking could be problematic, the space to the rear of the cottage was the better option. The stairs are steep, but there is a gate at the bottom of the flight.
If available I would stay there again.

Marys Cottage has the perfect location for Kingsdown, There's ample room but it's not really good value for your money/ the high rent. The big sofa in the living room is too old and needs to be replaced as well as the matresses in the twin bedroom (you could feel every single spring), so all in all it was not as comfy as it looks in the pictures. What was absolutely perfect was the heating in this awfully cold week. The team at Keepers Cottages do a fantastic job, praise to Camilla and Amy.

We had a lovely week at the cottage and weather was excellent. The extractor fan in the bathroom on the first floor doesn't work. On the information leaflet it says bin collection is Thursday but it's Friday also a rota of which bin and week would be a great help. We would definitely visit again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay in Mary's Cottage, so handy for the beach and the pub, and very dog-friendly.
We could have done with an empty cupboard in the kitchen, to store the food we had brought, there was nowhere to put it away.
The stairs are very steep, it would feel more safe and secure to have stair gates at the top of both flights of stairs.
The top bedroom felt a bit cramped, not much space for standing up straight.
The garden is lovely and all the furniture was very comfortable.

Mary’s cottage was a special find, and even more prettier than in the pictures. It’s obviously a well loved place and is well maintained by the family. We felt very comfortable staying here and were able to relax, especially being so close to the sea! We had some family over for the day and they also fell in love with the place! Would definitely recommend to others and would try and stay here if we ever visited this part of the country again!
