Saint-Omer House is a charming cottage nestled in the pretty Georgian town of Deal. The cottage has a rich history and is full of character but has been transformed into a stylish and comfortable holiday home with a mid-century feel. The cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it perfect for couples or friends. The star attraction of the house is the fabulous roof terrace with fantastic views across the Conservation area. Situated in a quiet side street just 2 minutes walk from the main promenade and beach, Saint-Omer House is also just a few yards from the buzzing high street with its delis, boutique shops, antiques shops, cafes and restaurants. Deal Castle and the Pier are only a 5 minutes stroll along the promenade and further coastal walking takes you through Walmer and Kingsdown to the lovely Zetland Arms, one of the few UK public houses on a beach, with views of the iconic white cliffs. Walking in the other direction along the coast you will walk past some of the most prestigious links golf courses in England and almost deserted beaches.

A comfortable and welcoming house

A really comfortable and interesting house in the old part of Deal. Of the two living-rooms, that in the basement was especially lovely and cool, whilst the roof terrace was a great place to while away a sunny evening. The property has excellent facilities, including a bathroom, ensuite shower and three toilets. The stairs are quite steep, and you have to pay due regard to the clear messages to "mind your head" when gaining access to the roof. The kitchen is well-lit and attractive- there are plenty of plates, glasses, etc., but it does lack a bread knife, pizza cutter and serviettes.
As advised by Keepers, the front door does take a little force to open, but we got the knack of it quite quickly.
The location is two minutes' walk from the seafront, which is at the top of Griffin Street, and is equally close to the High Street, with the main supermarkets 10 minutes away on foot.
Much thought has clearly gone into the internal design and decoration of the property, making this an attractive and welcoming house for all its visitors.
