Shell Seekers Cottage is a charming holiday home, and the perfect place for families and friends wanting to explore this lovely part of Kent. On the ground floor, the open plan sitting / dining room provides an excellent space for socialising whilst the modern kitchen is well equipped and opens out onto the enclosed garden, which is the ideal place to relax and soak up some sun. And you can bring your four-legged friend too.

Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms and a large bathroom and on the second floor is the third bedroom with a handy ensuite wc and basin.

Shell Seekers Cottage is located in the lovely Georgian town of Deal and a short walk to the seafront with its long promenade and Pier, and to the high street with an array of charming independent boutique shops, cafes, and artisan traders.

Shell Seekers was a comfortable stay for us as a couple but a little cramped when we were joined by two further adults and two children. The stairs to the first floor are steep and there is no handrail so might be challenging if poor mobility or, as we found, when carrying young children or luggage. There is only a 3/4 height partition wall between the top floor bedroom and the en suite (toilet and sink). The curtain in this thin so we were woken by sunlight each morning.

The kitchen was generously supplied with half packets of food - pasta, condiments, etc. Unfortunately this left less space for us to store our own food provisions. There was an eclectic selection of kitchenware but oddly no plug for the sink.

The large garden is a sun trap. I enjoyed reading outside most days.

The street was popular for parking but little noise overnight. It was lovely to stay within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars of Deal. The Pop Up cafe was a particular favourite.
