Starboard Light is a stunning contemporary holiday home located on Whitstable’s popular Island Wall. It is just yards from the beach and The Old Neptune pub, one of the few pubs actually sited on a beach. A few minutes’ walk along the seafront takes you to the fishing harbour and popular Harbour Street with its wealth of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Steps lead from the street down to the front door, and the large open plan ground floor of the cottage. The sitting room has a wood burner for cooler days, and dining area. The modern kitchen leads to the delightful garden room which offers a second sitting room and is light and bright. French doors open onto the lovely garden with bamboo and palms, a large decked area and two seating areas.

Upstairs over two floors are a Kingsize bedroom, a single bedroom and family bathroom, and a twin room on the top floor.

Whitstable is a lively coastal town with a friendly sailing club and water sports centre, a thriving arts and creative scene and lots of live music in the pubs and cafes. Further afield are the historic market town of Faversham and the medieval City of Canterbury.

Lovely weekend, beautiful house

Third stay in Whitstable and second time using Keepers Cottages. They are the most professional short stay company we have used and can not fault them.

The house is lovely. More than comfortable for 4 people and the dogs enjoyed the garden and open space inside.

Location is perfect for all of the Whitstable hot spots. Minutes walk to the beach and to the high street with all of the shops and restaurants.

Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back
