The Drift is an elegant holiday cottage that has everything you need for a wonderful coastal holiday or short break. The interior is tasteful and relaxing with a welcoming and cosy sitting room and a lovely open plan kitchen and dining area. Upstairs over two floors are two beautifully designed bedrooms and a bathroom.

Outside is an enclosed courtyard garden with a raised deck with seating and sun shade, and the wonderful addition of a pizza oven, the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Deal and further afield. An added bonus is secure off-street parking for one small to medium car.

The Drift is a short walk to the beach and the lovely long promenade that takes you all the way into the centre of Deal, through Walmer to Kingsdown where you can enjoy a refreshing drink at The Zetland Arms, one of the few UK pubs situated on a beach. Deal’s iconic Georgian High Street is also a short stroll from the cottage and offers a wealth of artisan, boutique and independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

We stayed at The Drift for a week and loved it. The property is situated in a conservation area amongst lots of other beautiful properties a short walk from the centre of Deal. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Even though the stairs were steep the rope handles supplied made it relatively easy for old knees to cope with the climb!!
The beach was virtually on our doorstep and the walk along the prom to the town centre was a delight.

It was very nice. Unfortunately the loo broke on the Saturday night and couldn't be fixed until Monday. Also the wifi was not answering to the password so I was was unable to access the Internet, but fortunately could manage by using my phone as an Internet hot spot.
