The North wing was fabulous. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was to die for! It was so nice to relax in the bath with those views over the lake after our busy wedding day, the day before. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and the chef was very friendly. It was a lovely place to stay!
It was a very pleasant stay at Combermere, we went there as my 19th ggf John de Brundelegh 1320– was clerk to the Abbot of Combermere and served the Black Prince in about the 1350s so it was a bit of an historic ancestral pilgrimage, I knew access was going to be a problem in such an ancient house so I have no complaints regarding this although it was definitely not easy but the staff were as helpful as they could be. We were very comfortable and luckily the other guests were excellent company so really enjoyed our stay albeit very for one night only. Interestingly have since discovered I’m...more
Fabulous time with all our family in one of our favourite places . But missed ‘the benches’ by the mere! We have opened many a bottle of fizz down there over 23 years to celebrate SO many moments. Look forward to the snowdrops next year. Many thanks to you All. Fond Regards Lin and Richard Chell.
We stayed at crossley cottage it was comfortable and clean enjoyed the breakfast packet which catered for all our needs and my celiac diet. Would definitely recommend.
My family and I stayed here for my nieces wedding. We were really impressed and inspired by the artwork, the high ceilings and large communal table. We enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast around that table and used it to catch up from the day before. Would love to stay here again !
From the minute we walked into Stapleton we were impressed. The decor and cleanliness was immediate, the range and and type of breakfast food was impressive, particularly that most of it was locally sourced. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay and would love to come again. Because we were at a wedding reception, we were able to view some of the other cottages, all of which were delightful. A great idea to have a theme for each cottage.
We really enjoyed our brief stay at Empress Cottage. The cottage was very beautiful and we loved the theme that ran throughout. Would have preferred to spend more time here, and wish our check out time was a little later.
We really enjoyed staying here. Clean and comfortable. It was a bit chilly when we got there but housekeeping sorted it out immediately. The grounds are also lovely - woodlands and walled gardens.
Really enjoyed our stay at Wellington. Very comfy and beautiful surroundings. Wish we had had more time to explore the local walks around. Would love to go back again!
Beautiful location, comfy beds, and good company. Really enjoyed our stay atCcotton. Was very peaceful and quiet, and was very close to the pavillion, so not much of a walk between. Would have liked to have had a later check-out as felt check in at 4pm and check out at 10am was quite a short period to stay, hence the 4 for value for money. Another factor is, I prefer a cooked breakfast in the morning and would have loved if the hamper had sauages or bacon for me to cook.
From the moment I booked , everything ran smoothly. Rachel was so helpful and ensured that our stay was perfect. The location, setting and comfort of our property was a 10/10. We will be back .
We stayed at Poole as we were attending an wedding at Combermere and found the accomodation to very clean and comfortable. I would definetly be happy to stay there again. It was so close to the wedding that we could easily pop to and from, if we needed to grab coats/ change shoes etc. My only upset was that we were only able to get into the cottages at 4pm and we had to leave by 10 am the next day which was a very quick turn around. The food hamper for breakfast was lovely, but we would prefer to have some sausage, bacon etc so we can cook a hot breakfast in the morning.
