The perfect place to stay on our wedding night. The room was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. The setting is nothing short of fantastic, a very special place to wake up to start our married life. The staff are wonderful, very warm and attentive. A special thanks to Stefan for a wonderful breakfast the following morning. I am sure we will be back!
As ever, the location is second to none, as are the staff (Stefan & Jo) and the breakfast!! we will definitely be coming again. The Bhurtpore room is stunning, especially with the view across the mere with the mist rising in the morning.
Very well appointed but large cottage and great customer service. The beds and sitting room areas were comfortable, and the cottage with its three bathrooms was spotlessly clean. There was plenty of space including a large dining room for entertaining. We had a quick overnight stay in October so we didn’t get to enjoy the walks on the estate with our dog, or the outside seating, and there was no time to light the fire. This is my third visit to Combermere Abbey and I really enjoyed my stay once again. The cottages are comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped. I would suggest that the hot water temperature is lowered as it really was scoldingly hot.
Stayed many times at Combermere Abbey,chose Beckett as we had invited extended family to join us. 3 double en suite bedrooms plus large dining space absolutely ideal for larger parties. Highly Recommended
I enjoyed this lovely wee cottage it was spacious spotless and well equipped - parking was central and close by making it easy to unload all our luggage for a wedding we were attending The breakfast pack was welcome and the coffee machine was a surprise! The internal decoration was very tasteful ! Grounds are fabulous it was peaceful full of birdsong and al in all perfect!
Such a fantastic place to relax. It is really special to step straight out of your door to walk in the beautiful grounds. We loved the cottage and had some of the best sleeps. It is just so peaceful. We will definitely be back.
The cottage was beautiful and thoughtfully furnished, we had everything we needed. Even if we hadn’t been attending a beautiful wedding, it would have been perfect for a countryside escape.
The cottage was set in the most delightful surroundings. We were there mid week when it was utterly tranquil. Lots of lovely walks and wildlife. Would recommend for a battery recharge.
Combermere’s reputation was justified by our lovely short break. The Lodge was fully equipped and well laid out. The dining room was a lovely touch. Although main WiFi was down they had arranged a patch. Our dogs loved the estate walks and out tour of the Abbey was fascinating; thank you.
After staying in the North Wing accommodation on 2 previous occasions, the expectations were high for the Cotton cottage. Unfortunately they didn’t quite reach them. The front entrance door knob handle could have been better. In the bedrooms the curtains kept coming away from the rails as the hooks did not easily slide. The bathroom door had lost its door stop so it had been hitting the wall. There were dead insects that had not been cleaned up around the windows in the lounge. The gas hob had a mind of its own as some of the flames kept blowing out whilst heating a pan. I’m sure there must be...more
Poole cottage was great for our overnight stay at Combermere. It had all the facilities we needed, was clean and comfortable. A massive plus was that it was very quiet so enabled a good night’s sleep.
