We recently hosted a 50th birthday celebration staying in Winery, Thatched and Flint. The accommodation is beautiful and very well appointed. The social space is amazing and lots of room for our party - even if the weather wasn't kind to us. The hosts were very accommodating and helped with any requests. We had an amazing weekend - cant recommend highly enough!
Amazing house with stunning views. The property has everything you would need for a large group, including a heated swimming pool with beautiful landscape. My favourite spot was the fully equipped Bar - just bring your drinks. The hosts are very good , flexible and kept great communication throughout. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Higher Wiscombe cottages.
Amazing views and really well equipt kitchen. It is exactly as the pictures. Maybe missing a fan or AC as when we went it was quite hot at night. Perfect for either a short or even a weeks stay as we did. Access was fine for us but you need to be aware that the first 100yds, a farm track, may be unsuitable for some low sports cars. Lorna and Alistair were the best hosts and nothing was a problem for them, they even got us tickets to a local hill climb. For my 60th birthday celebrations I had spent months researching different houses that could sleep 20 in comfort.I found the winery at higher Wiscombe and must have read every review,looked at every picture and did my due diligence. I wasn't disappointed! Everyone of our group loved the place.It was perfect. All bedrooms very comfortable with en suites-no one gets a bad room,this was important to me.Famtadtic rural setting with amazing views but just 15-20 minutes from the best seaside resorts that Devon had to offer. We were made to feel so welcome by Elaine, who had even put our supermarket delivery away for us! Everything about our stay at Higher Wiscombe was wonderful and we will definitely return. A beautiful, tranquil place!
Thatched Cottage is superbly appointed and furnished - both inside and out. A real 5* stay. The hosts could not be more welcoming. It’s our 4th visit, always with dogs, and it’s consistently fabulous. The location and views are to die for. Loads of walking and dog friendly eating out options locally. Highly recommended.
