A wonderful weekend for 34 adults and six children ranging in age from 3 months to 90 years old. Everyone had the best time and the cottages were perfect for a large family gathering with plenty of space for us to dine and socialise together with some privacy for those who wanted it in Thatched and Flint. It will be a weekend we will remember forever. Thank you.
Amazing house with stunning views. The property has everything you would need for a large group, including a heated swimming pool with beautiful landscape. My favourite spot was the fully equipped Bar - just bring your drinks. The hosts are very good , flexible and kept great communication throughout. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Higher Wiscombe cottages.
This accommodation is fantastic. The facilities are superb and the location is beautiful. Would recommend 100%.
We received a warm welcome and appreciated the small touches like the milk in the fridge and ice in the freezer. The ground coffee was very good and we also enjoyed the biscuits. I found the app helpful for planning the trip and during our stay. We were very comfortable and the view was superb. We enjoyed days out to the coast and also short walks in the neighbouring fields. We would highly recommend a stay at Hank’s.
Wow this is now our Happy Place . Family & Friends booked a long weekend at The Winery . About 18 of us in total . This is our 2nd time at The Winery ( after celebrating a Big Birthday in 2025 ). We cannot fault the Cottage . From the moment we stepped into the large lounge / dining area / we felt a sense of relaxation & great vibes ! Lorna went above and beyond for us - having our online shop put away before we arrived, reducing the length of the stay over Easter weekend, and providing excellent local recommendations. We chose the barn for its reduced mobility credentials because two of us were post operative and on crutches. Not only does the barn only have about 5 stairs but how wonderful that Lorna has thought to provide a shower stool and seat riser. Superb accommodation, location and view. 3 beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms sleeping 6 people, extremely comfortable beds, great heating system, very well equipped, fabulous outlook onto a private valley, amazing & rare escape from traffic noise, private enclosed garden, dog friendly, within easy reach of lovely walks, great restaurants and the coast and excellent service from the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Thatched in early April 2026 with our 2 adult children and one's fiance.
