Excellent in every respect. Lovely hosts, beautiful spot and terrific special touches that make you feel like home. The pasties are yummy and the cream tea on arrival delicious.

We have been visiting Peace & Plenty for 17 years and there is a reason - or many reasons-for that! The generous, friendly welcome from Elizabeth and David, the sublime freshly baked scones waiting for us after a long journey, the beautifully furnished house with luxurious and comfortable furniture and the total peace and tranquillity that Peace & Plenty offers. It is the perfect holiday destination providing a calm, quiet and incredibly restful stay. The location is perfect for visiting SW Cornwall, exploring the area, walking or simply enjoying the beauty of Boscrowan!

The cottage is very well presented and very well maintained. There were fresh, hand-picked flowers from the garden in every room on arrival. The sitting area is very comfortable with views of the gardens and orchard. The kitchen is well equipped with a wide range of kitchen equipment. A cream tea was awaiting us on our arrival provided by the hosts, scones, clotted cream, and jams consumed with gusto.
The hosts are very hospitable taking time out of their busy schedule to have chats and explain the history of the property.
The village, is a few minutes walk away, Penzance, Newlyn, and Marazion are a short drive away where you can find beaches, gardens, galleries, cafes, and restaurants.

Peace and Plenty is a warm hug of a cottage; beautifully decorated, with sumptuous beds and the wonderful garden greeting you from every window. Set within a small holding in fabulous grounds our children were entertained for hours at a time and learned lot’s from Elizabeth and David who were thoughtful and generous with their time. They were so excited with feeding the chickens, the horses (the friendly dog and cat!), collecting eggs and the super pony riding! When you can tear yourself away from this cosy setting you’re in a beautiful corner of Cornwall with so much to do and see, helped by Elizabeth and David’s wealth of recommendations. This was the first of what I’m sure will be many visits to come at Boscrowan. Thank you both for creating such great memories.

Well we rather like that description! We had great fun with you too. So lovely to have a family so interested in everything here. Dotty and Jasper definitely enjoyed the company of their new groomers, feeders and riders for the week. Maisie and Tim missed you when you left, as did we. We loved all the photos you took too. See you next year!

Peace and Plenty is an exceptional holiday home. Indeed, it is furnished like a home to a very high standard. David and Elizabeth show great care in ensuring that from the moment you arrive, everything is in place for you to enjoy a memorable stay.
This extends from a welcome pack that includes fresh baked scones and cream, home made jams and apple juice. Guests can obtain fresh eggs and vegetables from their own farm.
You have access to their garden as well as enjoying your own cottage garden that is secluded and well furnished.
We decided to leave our car at home and make use of the excellent bus services just minutes from the cottage.
Elizabeth and David, in fact, kindly picked us up at Penzance railway station and at the end of our holiday took us to the station for our return journey. The grounds of Boscrowan exude peace and tranquillity, away from the madding crowd but within easy reach of Cornwall's magnificent land and seascapes. For us, this made for a perfect holiday.

We first stayed in Peace and Plenty 19 years ago and we return every few years. It's beautiful - a place where we can truly relax and unwind. There are some guests who really become part of the Boscrowan calendar and you are definitely ones. We've seen you through your honeymoon , birth of two children who are now grown up and two house moves. We've probably all aged a bit but we all have similar values and appreciate the same things! It's great to know you!

We have been staying at Boscrowan Farm for 20 years now. It is simply the best place we have ever stayed, in 40yrs+ of holidaying in Britain. Top quality throughout, lovely soft furnishings and pictures, fresh flowers, a home made cream tea, it's all there to greet you when you walk in. The whole place is as immaculate and welcoming as it's always been.
There is nowhere like this.

The cottage is stylish, beautifully presented and well maintained. There are fresh, hand-picked flowers from the garden in every room. The soft furnishings are exquisite and again made on the premises. The sitting area is very comfortable with views of the gardens and orchard and a wood burner for cooler days - although there is a very efficient heating system throughout which can be controlled in the cottage. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with not just a wide selection of high quality china, glassware and cutlery, but pans for every occasion and a wide range of kitchen equipment and "gadgets" to suit the keenest of cooks. As an "upside-down" house the sitting, dining and kitchen areas are flooded with light. The bedrooms downstairs are cosy and the master half-tester bed is so comfortable and the crisp white linen bedding is beautiful. The bathrooms have efficient showers and a heap of fluffy white towels including big, luxurious bath-sheets (always a joy to find a bath-sheet rather than a bath towel!!) and bathrobes.
A cream tea awaits your arrival - scones freshly baked that day with home-made jams containing fruits picked from the hedgerows surrounding the cottage.
The garden "belonging" to the cottage has lounging and dining furniture, a large parasol and a rotary airer, but guests are welcome to spend time in the formal gardens of the wider property, the fields and the wildlife pond and help themselves to produce in the greenhouse and the vegetable garden.
The owners of Peace and Plenty care passionately about the cottage and their guests and this is obvious at every turn. Everything has been considered, nothing overlooked. There is great consideration for the environment too.
The village, a few minutes walk away, has a well-stocked local store, an independent bakery, a fish and chip shop and a pub serving food. There are beaches, gardens, galleries, cafes, restaurants and sporting facilities within walking distance and a host of things to see and do within very easy reach.

This was our 18th stay at Peace & Plenty which I guess suggests we like it! Why do we keep going back? The welcoming and generous hosts, David and Elizabeth have created the most perfect, tranquil environment, in a spotlessly clean and most comfortable house. Everything is provided to allow guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings at Boscrowan and the surrounding area. The kitchen is superbly equipped, the furniture all of high quality and extremely comfortable and the outside space secluded.

Peace and Plenty provides exactly that. A beautifully furnished and well equipped cottage in a quiet location just outside Penzance. Fresh vegetables and free range eggs are produced and readily available on site, and a plate of fresh scones, jam and clotted cream greets you on arrival. Although a car would make getting around easier, we managed to visit many lovely places using only public transport and/or our own two feet. Highly recommended.

Being a busy working mum the most relaxing thing for me was knowing that the cottage provided towels and soap, washing up liquid etc, far less for me to have to worry about packing for. However, the greatest part of the cottage for me probably had to be the wonderful cream tea, home made jams and Boscrowan apple juice waiting for us on arrival after a long drive! The cottage is very comfortable and provided with beautiful furnishings to make it very homely, including amazing fresh flower displays at every surface you can see. We found so much to do in the area that we could have had at least another week there. It is so close to so many places, the North coast, Land’s End, the Lizard. It is also really handy for an early visit to St Michael’s Mount to miss the crowds. The host was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome and was even kind enough to offer to send on my belongings I accidentally left behind. I was obviously far too relaxed at the end of my holiday to check I had packed everything….

Another magical week at Boscrowan! We have now made it a family tradition to stay at Peace & Plenty each summer and it always delivers as a phenomenal holiday. It is immaculate as a property, incredibly comfortable, and it has everything you could possibly want, including extremely comfortable beds. Whilst being in a beautifully quiet location - allowing for complete relaxation - it is also very well situated for all local amenities, in addition to being fantastically located to explore all of West Cornwall and beyond. We cannot recommend Boscrowan enough!

We had a wonderful time staying at Elizabeth and David’s lovely farm. The farm itself and the gardens are beautiful and provide such a relaxing environment and the house itself was extremely comfortable with every possible need thought of for a relaxing stay. Elizabeth and David are such welcoming hosts, and we had a great time making friends with Maisie and Tiny Tim. The farm is in a great location for exploring this part of Cornwall - within easy reach of Lands End, St Ives etc and with lots of great hiking and swimming nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Boscrowan to anyone who wants a lovely Cornish experience and a truly relaxing holiday.

The most recent of several holidays over a number of years spent at Boscrowan in both Peace and Plenty and Ring and Thimble. Both properties are superbly well maintained and well equipped with luxurious soft furnishings. The gardens surrounding the properties are freely accessible and kept to a very high standard. A friendly welcome (including as excellent cream tea) and attention to detail are the hall mark of what Elizabeth and David offer with these holiday homes. We feel that the emphasis is on ‘home’ as that is how the properties feel for the duration of our stay. Peace, relaxation, ready access to many places of interest or sporting facilities or simply to spend the day reading in the garden whatever suits. And at the end of the holiday go away feeling that you have really had a holiday and that you are a valued part of the Boscrowan family.

Delighted that you enjoyed yet another stay at Boscrowan. Thank you for your kind words. We love celebrating Christmas here at Boscrowan and we have a wonderful Austrian friend who helps with the decorating of the fresh Christmas trees and lights to make the cottages look wonderfully festive. The Mousehole and Newlyn lights are an attraction close by too, then there's Tom Bawcocks Eve in Mousehole and the Montol Festival in Penzance just before the big day - so plenty of opportunity to celebrate. We are a great location for a Christmas stay!

My wife and I have always enjoyed our holidays to Peace and Plenty over the last 5 years and are very lucky to be able to return to our favourite holiday destination, in the South West of Cornwall.
Peace and Plenty remains a delightful "full stop", a time to relax, to enjoy the beautiful cottage, in a beautiful quiet corner of Cornwall.
Peace and Plenty is an absolute delight. The cottage caters for every need and the care and attention to detail has not diminished over time.

Fresh flowers in every room, well equipped kitchen, clean and very comfortable, free access to the gardens, free or at cost eggs and vegetables from the garden. Lots of careful attention to detail has gone into making this a really memorable holiday experience. Good position for exploring West Cornwall. Easy access to reasonable shop, close to Penzance but beautifully quiet. For the last twenty years or so, we have stayed in three or four cottages a year around the UK and without doubt this has been one of the very best. The landlady, Elizabeth, even laid on beautiful weather all week. It couldn't have been better.
Only glitch was parking and setting off in my rather silly powerful rear wheel drive car in the fairly thickly dispersed gravel.

The cottage is situated in a beautiful secluded location surrounded by the owners stunning gardens but within easy reach of Penzance (25 mins walk). Everything you could ask for in the cottage right down to a cool bag and ruck sack if you forget yours. The afternoon tea and fresh scones waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch. Take the Land Ends Coaster for a hop on hop off experience by bus - £5 for the day and can be used on any bus just incase you decide to venture further. The Honey Potz in Penzance does great coffee and fresh food, the Yellow Canary for a takeaway and Sea of Coffee both in St Ives worth a mention. Wouldn’t hesitate in returning to this little peace of paradise.

We highly recommend Peace and Plenty. A beautiful cottage and better equipped than any other we have stayed in elsewhere. The owners went out of their way to welcome our family and let the children spend time with the animals, a real highlight. The cottage is a great base for West Cornwall. We visited Sennen, Land's End, Trengwaiton gardens, St Michael's Mount, Marazion and St Ives. All were only a short drive away. We were all very sad to leave such a lovely place and would happily return.

Everything about this cottage is great -friendly, helpful owners, very well equipped and comfortable, peaceful yet convenient location. There was a slight problem with the heating which the owners attended to immediately and it was swiftly resolved, with no inconvenience to us - this seems typical of the care with which this property is treated, to the benefit of those staying.
We certainly hope to be back and would thoroughly recommend the cottage.

We are regular visitors to this lovely property. Convenient, comfortable and very well appointed. On this occasion we were visited by friends and family who live in Cornwall - both sets of visitors made the same comment "Now we know why you love this place". During the last 2 years it has provided a safe haven when rules permitted a holiday and we look forward to our return next year and the welcome we know we will receive from the owners.

This hidden sanctuary , cultures relaxation with just the opening of the entrance gate. The cottage, Peace and Plenty , mirrors in every aspect of those two words, The, peace, is in the landscape, the restfulness of the cottage and the location at the edge of Penzance where so many connections with sea, the spectacular landscapes and the sheer beauty of this coast are a gift for the explorers. The ‘Plenty’ is in the meticulous attention to detail given by our hosts to ensuring our stay is just a delight. A decorated tree, guilded with lights, Cream tea with jams made from fruit picked locally. A freezer drawer stuffed with local produce, the croissants just the tops! Every room touched with thoughtfulness and bestowed and decorated with such a palette of colourful flowers grown by Elizabeth. We walked, we sat and watched the ever changing dynamics of the sea. Marvelled at the lights of Mousehole and the drama of Cape Cornwall. Everything natural is here in abundance as is the plentiful peace that inhabits you.

We estimate that this is our 14th year staying at Peace & Plenty so I think that says we like it! Hosts Elizabeth and David couldn't be more welcoming, offering a beautifully clean, well appointed and fully equipped holiday venue. They have considered every detail to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable, from the freshly baked scones on arrival, complete with cream and home made jams through a kitchen with everything you could need to the most luxurious pure cotton and linen sheets.
Perfectly situated in a tranquil position, Peace & Plenty offers the perfect place to explore SW Cornwall. An easy walk into Penzance and a short drive to many beaches and walks. We stayed whilst the fuel 'shortage' was happening but were blissfully unaffected as we didn't need to drive more than a few miles.
If you are looking for a truly special place to stay, look no further and book Peace & Plenty. You will not be disappointed.

Elizabeth and David are perfect hosts. They have always 'gone the extra mile' with absolutely everything to do with Peace and Plenty. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful holiday home, it has all the comforts of home. The specification in every room is amazing. Anywhere else just does not compare.
The property is in Heamore and is only a short drive, cycle or walk from Penzance and Newlyn, Marazion and Mousehole. With further delights such as St Just, Cape Cornwall, (well, I could go on and on!) It is just the perfect location for exploring the very west of Cornwall.
We have now enjoyed our 6th stay at Boscrowan in the last 4 years and it is our 'go to' holiday home in Cornwall.
Thank you Elizabeth and David

Elizabeth and David have provided a a beautiful cottage, with everything you could need provided. Comfortable beds and seating and a well equipped kitchen with quality tableware and equipment. Lots of lovely touches - fresh flowers in all rooms, delicious cream tea on arrival and fresh produce available from the garden. We had a problem with the hob becoming faulty while we were there, but a replacement was sorted very quickly.
The location is convenient for visiting many places. You can hear a little road noise when in the garden (though not inside the cottage).
The area of West Penwith is beautiful and there is so much to enjoy - gardens, coastal or moorland walking, galleries, history and good cafes and restaurants, all in easy reach of the cottage. So much to do, we needed another week!
We had a really relaxing and rejuvenating break and look forward to returning.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted with freshly baked scones and home made jams we knew we were in the right place. Peace and Plenty is a lovely property on a working farm, surrounded by everything to make you feel relaxed, such as flowers, herbs, orchard, fruit and vegetables. Elizabeth and David were great hosts and everything you could need is supplied within the property. That thing on holiday where the kitchen is fitted minimally and you don't have the right size pan or the right utensils to cook a family meal? Not here - it even includes a breadmaker that I took advantage of and baked my first ever loaf of bread. Successfully, even!
We were lucky with the weather and, with two young(ish) children with us, spent most of the week taking advantage of the stunning beaches surrounding us (for which you will find toys etc in the garage) but we almost hoped for just one rainy day to spend indoors so as to enjoy the property.
We will definitely try to come back. With the attempts made by our children to claim ownership of the cat, we just hope we would still be welcome.....

This really is an amazing place to stay. Super clean, homely, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. It’s well situated for day trips in all directions and Elizabeth is so welcoming that you immediately feel at home from the moment you arrive. For example, a delicious cream tea awaits, there are fresh flowers in every room and you have free access to the tasty tomatoes, herbs and other vegetables and for a small fee, other products, such as eggs, jam, pasties and croissants. The animals are friendly too and our 11 year old wanted to adopt Tiny Tim, the ridiculously cute farm cat. We will definitely be back here again. X

Had a fabulous time at Boscrowan, Elizabeth is the perfect host and has thought of everything - cream tea on arrival, apple juice in the fridge and homemade marmalade. Lots of other nice touches - some of which we couldn't make use of Re covid I. E books, games. Not far from Penzance - we took the bus in most days and even walked once - 10min drive/bus or 30 min walk, from there you had plenty of onward options, nothing seemed that far away but we were also happy to sit in the back garden and take in the surroundings with the odd visit from Nell the dog and Tim the cat. It was a shame to leave. As I said in the title, just book it!

We had a fabulous week staying in Peace and Plenty. Immaculate on arrival, with fresh flowers in every room and a cream tea with home made scones. Every possible need was anticipated. Owners, Elizabeth and David, are very welcoming and put everything into making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. A great location for exploring the Far West of Cornwall. St Ives, Marazion, Mousehole, Land's End and many other places all within a short drive. Plenty to do out and about whatever the weather or just as nice to stay put in the beautiful surroundings at Boscrowan and do nothing. A great place to stay and we will be back!

We had such a lovely stay and particularly enjoyed the beautiful gardens. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything we needed and a lot of things we didn’t realise we needed too.
The farm was safe and enclosed for our kids (6 and 4) to run and cycle around by themselves which kept them entertained for hours and let us have a rest too! They loved being shown around by Elizabeth, helping to collect eggs, groom the horses and pick vegetables.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend Boscrowan to any family looking to get away.

Peace and Plenty certainly lived up to our expectations. The cottage was beautifully appointed and a wonderful cream tea with delicious homemade jams and scones was waiting for us on arrival. Our second stay at Peace and Plenty, but several previous stays at Boscrowan. The only place we wanted to stay in the present circumstances. We felt safe, comfortable and very welcome. Tucked away in a quiet suburb of Penzance yet within very easy walking distance of the village which has a well stocked general store, excellent fish and chip shop, bakery and pubs. Easy access to Penzance, the coast, Lands End and wonderful gardens. Enjoyable days can be spent away from the crowds with the restful comfort provided by Peace and Plenty at the end of the day. Lovely, helpful hosts who genuinely enjoy providing a welcoming, happy environment.

We spent 5 days at Peace & Plenty and it was wonderful. The cottage was elegant and had everything you could ask for and more. The special touches (afternoon tea, local eggs and apple juice) and wonderful hospitality really marked this place as somewhere we'll above others we have stayed. It was a great base for exploring the whole area (which is stunning), and yet feels very private and homely. We'd highly recommend and look forward to returning.

From the cream tea which is waiting for you on arrival to the numerous vases of flowers around the cottage, this is somewhere where attention to detail counts. The beds are comfy, the kitchen one of the best equipped I’ve ever stayed in and the log burner wonderful on a cold, damp day. Well situated for getting out and about and also walking distance into Penzance (c35 mins) for restaurants, pubs, the station and lido. Can’t recommend it enough, but hope it’s not so fully booked that we can’t go again!

Our cottage was beautifully presented (Very clean, fresh flowers), and exceptionally well equipped; a real home from home. With the weather beginning to cool, we enjoyed the wood burner in the evenings and slept well in very comfy beds. We had a warm welcome on arrival. Elizabeth was available around the farm most days if we needed to check out anything.
Boscrowan is a great location for coastal walking and visiting a wide range of Cornish coves. We did plenty of both!
We were encouraged to explore and enjoy the 25 acres that comprise Boscrowan Farm.
Peace and Plenty is very well appointed. It is warm; comfortable; with a well equipped kitchen/dining area and comfortable furniture in the living area. It is tastefully decorated and furnished and has lovely gardens. The upper floor with dining and living area is light and airy. The bedrooms are less spacious and some may find movement restrictive. They were fine for us.
It's an all round winner for location and comfort than you cannot fail to appreciate and enjoy.
The name (Peace and Plenty) tells the story!

We were first time visitors to Boscrowan, I think we benefitted from all the Covid-19 related cancellations! So felt very lucky to be able to enjoy a week at the end of August in Peace and Plenty. I had a hunch it would be special, given the beautiful pictures and the brilliant reviews, but it was even more special than we'd hoped! And so welcome after seeing a bit too much of our own house during lockdown(!) to have such a beautiful change of scene. The cream tea awaiting us was absolutely delish and we gobbled up the jar of homemade marmelade and lots of tomatoes too! The suggestion of heating up the pasties in the freezer and taking to the beach turned out to be a excellent one! (we chose Portheras) and we had some lovely croissants one morning too. Along with the fresh flowers arranged everywhere, gorgeous textiles and linens and comfy robes and sheets, it all felt very luxurious! Elizabeth and David were very welcoming and helpful - and very generous with all the space there, which the children really took advantage of!! (paddling in the little stream, feeding the chickens, petting the animals and running around - my son was completely fascinated with the 'alien plant' by the water! He was also very chuffed with his double yolked egg!! I loved watching the bats at dusk. It's a nature-lovers paradise with the beautiful plants too. But also really appreciated being left to our own devices too, no intrusion at all. The house was well equipped with good quality cooking gear which was really appreciated and the shower and bath were lovely. The house is in a brilliant spot to explore what I think is the most beautiful bit of England and we found plenty of nice quiet spots even in August. For those visiting during Covid restrictions (in case they're in place next year...!) I'd suggest going to the busier / more accessible beaches in the morning or late afternoon and then trying the more remote ones in the middle of the day. We had some gorgeous sunsets where the beach was empty (Godrevy was a good one). My suggestion for a nice (and family friendly) treat meal out would be the Artist's Residence in Penzance, but we also enjoyed the Turk's Head and had some lovely fish n chips from Lewis's in Newlyn. I really enjoyed the Jubilee pool (very refreshing!), but tricky with small kids whilst the small pool is shut (main pool quite deep). We had a lovely holiday, and staying at Boscrowan was a big part of it - thank you.

In these strange times, knowing that your holiday home is going to be clean matters greatly, and the many regulars to Peace & Plenty already know that they can rely on the hosts to provide beautiful and pristine accommodation with all the comforts you need for a relaxing holiday. Cleanliness is second to none, and add to that the uniqueness of staying somewhere that is convenient for west Cornwall, tucked away in its own tranquil corner on the edge of Penzance, and you have all you need to enjoy a lovely time. We booked both Peace & Plenty and the neighbouring Ring &Thimble for the extended family and had a fabulous time!

We had a fantstastic week in Peace and Plenty. Elizabeth was the most welcoming and accommodating host. The cottage was beautiful, extremely spacious and Elizabeth had picked the most beautiful flowers from their incredible gardens to greet us in every room.
The location is ideal for so many fantastic beaches. We were able to use veg from the veg patch and our little boy loved feeding the chickens and horses and playing on the farm tractor. A very relaxing week. We will be back!

It was lovely to welcome you back for yet another stay and thank you for your kind review. We greatly appreciate your last sentence - we may not be the cheapest accommodation around but we would like to think we are up there with the best ,in terms of 'value for your money' - so thank you kindly for that observation!

We have had another wonderful week at Boscrowan staying at Peace & Plenty. This is 19 years after our first visit and we have visited almost every year since for varying weeks, long weekends and midweek breaks out of season. All have been lovely and as our week this year was no exception. We always feel welcome and look forward to our lovely homemade cream tea on arrival.
This year was obviously a little different for all with the COVID restrictions but all had been done to protect us without making everything feel clinical and our slight anxiety about visiting the county so soon after restrictions were reduced were unfounded so far as the accommodation was concerned. We visited various beaches and found there was space to distance as there are so many wonderful beaches in the area. The towns were a little more problematic as places like St Ives are cobbled and narrow and there were more people there which personally made us a little uncomfortable although I would say that the tourist industry needs visitors to the shops and restaurants so I wouldn't advise to stay away, just to be alert to the social distancing and keeping to the left as much as possible which effectively made it a one way system. As long as everybody abides by the rules, it will keep things safe for both residents and tourists. Trengwainton for lunch was lovely and we felt very safe as was the Dolphin Tavern for an evening meal. It was lovely to see life re-opening again and the restaurants coming back to life. We also paid a visit to Tehidy Country Park. Parking free and although busy, there was plenty of space and lovely walks through the forest on various levels and gradients. Grandson fascinated by the abundance of squirrels. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Boscrowan as soon as we can book some time away. xx

The cottages are beautifully finished inside and out, great location and a very warm welcome. We have stayed in the Summer and Winter and had equally fun trips! So many brilliant days out for families - we have stayed three times and still have attractions on our list to visit! We hope to be back again soon - thank you Boscrowan Farm!

Returning to Boscrowan is always one of life's pleasures regardless of the time of year or the weather. We always feel welcome and leave feeling rested. This was a flying 3 night visit but it was enough to recharge the batteries. Enjoyed a blustery walk from Sennen to Lands End where we sat and ate a lovely salad from the Cornish Barn in Penzance in the wind and rain. Maybe one of their pasties would have been a little more warming but it was tasty nonetheless. A couple of lovely meals out at the Dolphin Tavern and the Bakehouse were at treat. Lovely to return in the evenings to a warm cosy cottage with the option of lighting the woodburner if needed. The rooms are beautifully decorated with meaningful carefully chosen paintings giving it a very personal feel. A true home from home we are always pleased to return and are looking forward already to our next break in April.

We are many time returners to the cottages at Boscrowan so this surely speaks for itself! Both Liz and David are so kind and generous with their time absolutely nothing seems to be ever too much trouble to them
Perfectly situated for walking from the cottage - with no car required! it ticks so many boxes being easy access to both inland and coastal footpaths.
Food heroes truly abound, with a very local selection of super fresh fish, meat, dairy and veggies as well as many great coffee and eating out places to enjoy, Boscrowan cottages... well pretty much perfect, we love them!

Well we have lost count of how many times you have returned but you must definitely be in line for a badge for 'long customer support' or 'endless stays' or similar! We take it as an immense compliment when guests keep returning to us. It does keep us on our toes too though with regard maintaining standards and continually trying to tweak and ring a few changes to keep pleasing!
Our third time in 2 years, excellent as always, our favourite place.

Elizabeth provides superb holiday accommodation in both Peace and Plenty and Ring and Thimble we can't recommend Boscrowan enough for that special stay away. It's close to Penzance with its amenities and lovely Cornish beaches nearby. Superb furnishings and well equipped, with lovely bed linen and a feeling of luxury. Home made scones with cream and jam on arrival and many other special touches, including the beautiful garden and grounds.

We had the most wonderful stay at Boscrowan Farm, the cottage is lovely and Elizabeth went out of her way to be helpful and welcoming. The beds are super comfy, the bath is a luxury and the kitchen is very well-equipped. We spent a happy rainy afternoon by the wood-burner playing Cornwall Monopoly and the location is great for coast walks and the beaches. Nell, Tiny Tim and the chickens were hits!

Another visit to this beautiful cottage. Not blessed by the best weather but there is still loads to do. Galleries, museums lovely cafes and restaurants or just curl up in front of the woodburner with a good book a jigsaw puzzle or a board game all supplied. There are few places that keep us coming back but this is definitely one.

Happy holidays!

My wife Tatjana, our daughters Maja (13) and Paula (19) and myself had a wonderful time at the Boscrowan Farm. Elizabeth and David were excellent hosts, they always had time for us and made us feel like being at home. We enjoyed homemade scones, pastries, ice-cream and honey, we were even offered to use the host's garden and summer house any time. Also Elizabeth took Maja for a horse ride twice - a life-long memory for our younger daughter. We also enjoyed Tiny Tim, the cat, Nell, the dog, Gem & Huckleberry, the horses, and the chicken gang.
We will definitely be back at the Boscrowan Farm when we return to Cornwall and will recommend this to our friends and family here in Germany without any hesitation.

Boscrowan is simply the best because it offers something that others fail to achieve - that sense of being “at home” and truly welcomed from the moment you arrive. Lots of great places to stay can be found nowadays, but Elizabeth and David offer something extra, that attention to the detail, and a commitment to ensure you just have the best time, whilst enjoying a beautiful part of Cornwall. The fact that so many of their guests are repeat visitors is testament to what they achieve. Our kids have grown up with Boscrowan in their year and they still continue to visit, now they’re in their 20’s.

There is so much to do and see from here and so many places are very close by. Whilst it may be a longish car journey down it is well worth those few extra miles as once you are here there is far more than you can do and see in just a week, or even probably a fortnight!

We had a wonderful week at Peace and Plenty. From the moment we arrived, Elizabeth made us feel wonderfully welcome and comfortable. Despite a long journey, the children had a new lease of life when David invited them to gather eggs from the chickens and join him to take the horses back to the stables. And we were revived with a delicious cream tea!
We relished our time at the cottage. It is SO comfortable. Elizabeth and David really have thought of everything. They had prepared both mountains of information about the surrounding area and a carefully curated two pager - we pretty much went through the list (using the OS map there to navigate wonderful walks) and loved every suggestion.
Breakfasts of home made bread (made in the breadmaker at Peace and Plenty) or freshly baked croissants (simply taken out of the freezer the night before, as Elizabeth had stocked freezer), lathered in honey from Boscrowan Farm. Picnic lunches using the picnic blankets they have provided. Playing in the sand with the buckets and spades available there. Roaming the gorgeous garden and playing in the summer house. Dinners wrapped up with some local ice cream from the freezer. Settling in for the evening with a wonderful woodburning stove.... Every part of our stay that was enhanced by Elizabeth's thoughtful and generous touches.
Thank you for a wonderful restorative stay in a beautifully decorated and cosy cottage. We will be back!

Boscrowan Farm "Staying at Peace and Plently" always feels like home from home, Elizabeth and David (Wonderful hosts) maintain the property to very high standards, with regular updates to keep the decor looking fresh. The location is tranquil yet only a couple of miles from Penzance and all routes to the best parts of Cornwall and the Cornish coastline. Boscrowan Farm in itself is a wonderful pace to explore and Nell, the very enthusiastic border collie will be more than happy to show you around. Returning for another visit to Boscrowan and back to Peace and Plenty again, we know what to expect and look forward to arriving and settling straight into our holiday. However, there is always something new to find as Elizabeth and David strive to keep the cottage fresh and crisp. This time it was new cutlery, new cushions, a cunning tray for shoes, different receptacles for flower arrangements and a gadget I didn't recognise. (Herb scissors, it transpired - and jolly useful they were too).
These items demonstrate the things that make Boscrowan so special. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the soft furnishings are beautifully stylish, flowers are picked from the garden and arranged in every room.
Staying in September we were able to gather apples from the orchard, tomatoes and rocket from the greenhouse, pick salad leaves and herbs in the garden and blackberries in the fields. These were used with the trug of vegetables provided and with eggs laid by the hens at the farm.
We spent many a happy hour in the gardens and particularly in the summer house - perfect for a drink after a heavy day of being a holiday-maker!!
Boscrowan is an ideal base for exploring the far West of Cornwall which has beautiful beaches within easy reach at Porthcurno, Sennen Cove, Marazion and St Ives, among others. There are gardens aplenty to visit including Trengwainton, Trewidden and Tremenheere. The South West Coast path can be explored on short walks or longer hikes - there's plenty of it. From here there are lighthouses, harbours and stunning coastal scenery to investigate. There are many galleries to explore in Penzance, Newlyn, Sennan, St Ives and Mousehole.
A highlight of every visit for us has been a production at the Minack Theatre - this year was a perfect moonlit evening which was sandwiched between two wet and windy days. We were so lucky!
The area has many choices for eating out with a vast selection of cafes, gastro pubs and excellent restaurants - The Turks Head and The Dolphin in Penzance, The Square at Porthleven, The Tolcarne in Newlyn and 2 Fore Street in Mousehole have long been favourites but there are new places to discover with every visit.
Should there be wet weather (and it does sometimes happen) there is a great cinema in Newlyn with a restaurant attached. There is also the mining history to discover at Levant, Botallack and Geevor. The Penlee Gallery is well worth a visit. Hpwever should you not wish to venture outdoors there's a huge variety of books, games and jigsaws in the cottage.
Elizabeth and David take huge care and attention with their cottages and their guests and are extremely generous with their time - despite being very busy people! This is one of the reasons we come back time after time and I'm sure that's the same for other guests who have been doing this far longer than us!!

A stay at Boscrowan begins with the long anticipated moment when we turn into the little tree-lined lane that leads to the farm, glimpse the green gate beyond the stream, and know that a different world is moments away. We have self-catered all over Britain and Europe but in our opinion, Boscrowan is unique and unsurpassed in every way. Although situated a short drive or walk from Penzance and conveniently close to the A30 for access to the whole Penwith Peninsula, Boscrowan Farm is a peaceful and rather magical haven. Each cottage has its own lovely garden with the orchard beyond and they look out onto the beautiful gardens of the farmhouse, and the wildlife pond. The overall feel is of peace and tranquility. We have visited many times over nearly a decade staying in Peace and Plenty. The cottage itself is superb; decorated in elegant F&B colours, with fine fabrics, lovely furniture and good art, the atmosphere created is of generous comfort and warmth. Elizabeth is a superb gardener and there are always flowers to be found in every room as well as a trug full of Boscrowan vegetables and a jar of Boscrowan herbs in the kitchen. The kitchen itself is properly equipped to a very high standard. My husband is a keen cook and looks forward to cooking at Boscrowan knowing that there are good sets of pans, knives, trays and everything else he will require. Each cottage has a wheel-barrow of salad leaves in the garden for daily use and Elizabeth is generous in allowing guests to augment their meals from her veg patch and greenhouse. You can make a quick early morning trip to Newlyn (less than 10 mins away) for fish straight off the boats (try the Stevenson Fish Shop on The Strand) and with Boscrowan veg and salad, make a delicious meal without setting foot in a supermarket! There are pasties in the freezer (perfect for taking on a walk to eat on the cliffs) and also croissants for breakfast and local ice-cream for pudding. You will also find books, games, jigsaws, ruck-sacks, a picnic basket and just about anything else you might need in the cottage, and buckets and spades, windbreaks, body-boards and wellies in the garage just beyond. The cottage is immaculately presented and impeccably maintained. In short, Peace and Plenty is the kind of home you wish you lived in, and for a week you do! Nell, the Harris' gorgeous border collie puppy, and Molly the cat will greet you on arrival and be glad to make friends during your stay; and you will find ducks and chickens to feed by the cut-flower patch and Gem and Huckleberry the horses in the fields beyond. Elizabeth and David always encourage children to join them to collect eggs and feed the animals, we have been visiting since ours were very little and this daily ritual has always been a much loved part of the holiday for them. The year that there were piglets on the farm and our daughter Emily ran ahead of them (just!) with the feed bucket to lead them back into the barn has become a treasured family memory, as has watching chicks hatch when Elizabeth brought them over to the cottage in an incubator for the children to see. The dedication and love the Harris' have invested in Boscrowan and their warmth and generosity make it a really special place to stay. Beyond the gate, the Penwith Peninsula beckons: Penzance, Mousehole, St Ives, Porthcurno, Porth Chapel, Sennen, The Minnack, Poldark Country.....there are as many beautiful towns, perfect beaches and breath-taking coastal walks as you could want; we love visiting them all, safe in the knowledge that if it pours with rain, we'll be just as happy in the cottage with the wood-burner and Monopoly, or perhaps with Elizabeth having a sewing lesson (over the years the children have made cushions and doorstops on rainy afternoons - all still in use!). The small amount I can say in a review cannot really capture Boscrowan, just go and you'll see what I mean.

Thank you for this amazing review and all your time composing it! It is so very gratifying for us to feel we are part of your lives and memories of your many family holidays with us here at Boscrowan. We always look forward to your stays with equal anticipation and have had such fun over the years teaching the children to make a cushion, oh and I had forgotten about the doorstops, feed the animals, collect eggs and this year helping them to produce the surprise birthday breakfast for you one morning. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have so many wonderful and appreciative guests such as yourselves return to stay year after year who become our friends as well as cottage guests. What can we dream up for your next visit that we haven't done before I wonder? We'll think of something!

Very accommodating hosts and a superbly appointed property. From the free veg and lovely cream tea provided at the start we knew we were on to a winner. And even though the place was impeccable there was no formality as we were able to stroll freely around the beautiful gardens and grounds. Like the cream tea...Truly Scrumptuous!

We could not fault our stay in Peace and Plenty. The quality is exceptional, and so homely. We could not wait to get back each day to spend some quality time enjoying the property and the surroundings. Although we were blessed with the perfect weather we are absolutely sure that whatever the weather we would be equally happy and we intend to return in January 2019.
Elizabeth has made a quality holiday home - thank you.

There is a reason why clients return more than once and often make the annual pilgrimage to Boscrowan. It is simply a calm haven of peacefulness where you can take a week or two out of the crazy life and live at a much slower pace. We have been coming down here for 17 years now, both as a family and latterly as a couple. We always look forward to our wind down time here walking various coastal paths and in earlier days as a family doing the beach holiday thing. It is a coast which caters for all family permutations and Boscrowan equally provides a luxury thatched cottage for a couple in Ring and Thimble but Peace and Plenty offers the family a lovely 2 bedroom idyll for a family, with lots of farm animals to feed and a safe environment for them to explore. Can't recommend it highly enough. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Peace and Plenty is the most wonderful, tranquil and comfortable holiday let. We have stayed there many times and keep going back! The accommodation is luxurious yet homely and the kitchen is brilliantly equipped for all needs. We arrive to be welcomed by the most delicious freshly baked scones ( Elizabeth even makes gluten free ones!) accompanied by home made jams and clotted cream; the holiday begins there! This year, I enjoyed an excellent reflexology treatment, with the therapist coming to the cottage. A real treat and added to the relaxation.
The cottage is situated in the most perfect spot; if you want peace and quiet it is there on the doorstep in abundance. Walk out of the gate and down the lane and within 15 minutes you can be in Penzance, no need to take the car.
Peace and Plenty is our first choice for a summer, Winter, Spring or Autumn break! We love it and each year it just gets better. Wonderfully kind and attentive hosts without being intrusive, we feel privileged to be able to go back each year.

We highly recommend Boscrowan Farm for a lovely peaceful holiday in a glorious setting. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area, with some lovely walks. The cottage was lovely and had everything you could wish for. In the evenings there were rabbits playing on the lawn, and we even saw a badger strolling past. If you want a peaceful, relaxing break, this is definitely the place to visit. Highly recommended.

The location was so peaceful and green yet so close to all the facilities of Penzance. The proprty is in an oasis of green, a million miles away from day to day worries.
Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. We felt like extended family.
The cottage is beautiful and has every modern facility in an historic, character filled building.
Having supplies of frozen food in the freezer was bonus and made it easier to settle in on first day, before we had opportunity to shop for supplies.
Would definately recommend.

We've now lost count of our holidays at Peace & Plenty, a week there is as important as Christmas and birthdays - it's an essential part of our year. There's lots of excellent accommodation out there, but Peace & Plenty and the neighbouring Ring & Thimble have an extra "wow factor" that comes from the hosts Elizabeth and David, for whom nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail is second to none. The accommodation is superb throughout, always pristine and a lovely base to explore west Cornwall and the Lizard peninsula. This is not one of those "run of the mill" holiday properties, it's something very different and very special.

We were warmly welcomed by Elizabeth & David and shown the spotless, spacious cottage, enjoying a delicious cream tea 'on the house'. The kitchen is well equipped, the log burner makes a lovely cosy ambience and the beds were very comfy.
We enjoyed walking round the farm which made a great base for a couple of days out. We appreciated the excellence of presentation, environmental concern and friendship from Elizabeth & David and will certainly return to Peace & Plenty for another West Cornwall break.

As Boscrowan regulars since 2001, it is difficult to escalate the description of how much we like to stay there, and how special our three weeks over Christmas and New Year have been. Our holidays at Boscrowan and Peace and Plenty always provide, without fail, an escape from the pressures of our everyday life in London. The sheer enjoyment of this unique holiday home is staying there, remembering all the wonderful previous stays and looking forward to the next time. Peace and Plenty was beautiful and superbly equipped from the beginning, but has been consistently improved with new soft furnishings, furniture, pictures and the many special touches to make it even more of a home from home. Did we want to leave on January 7 .... NO! ..... but we had to get back to London and work. But we know there will be a next time!

We are so glad you enjoyed your annual out of season stay. As often happens the weather can be as good if not better than earlier in the year, as it was for you last week. That always feels like such a bonus when you arrive expecting anything, but West Cornwall and its microclimate - barely a frost yet and nasturtiums still flowering as evidence!
A wonderful home from home in a beautiful setting.

The cottage is cosy and homely with every home comfort. So much thought has gone in to providing all the extras that make a holiday home perfect. From the homemade scones and jam, fresh flowers in all the rooms, pasties in the freezer, candles for a birthday cake, Elizabeth has thought of everything.
Nothing compares to coming back to the cottage from a brisk autumn walk, lighting the woodburner, opening a bottle of wine and settling down in the cosy lounge to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a evening spent at Boscrowan Farm. This was our second visit to Peace and Plenty and we look forward to the next holiday.

This was our sixth visit to Boscrowan and how good it was to be back. Anticipation builds during the weeks leading up to the holiday and grows with the journey down the A30 and the first view of St Michael's Mount! Not only are we excited to be returning, but there is the anticipation of what will have changed and what will be new - there's always something!
Our welcome cream tea was as delicious as ever with homemade scones and a choice of homemade jams.
We had beautiful weather during the week of our stay and so were able to take full advantage of the newly re-designed garden, viewing it from all angles in the revolving summerhouse - a lovely setting for morning coffee, afternoon tea, evening drinks or simple suppers.
The cottage is ideally placed to reach local beaches, gardens, castles and coastal walks.

When we first embarked upon holiday cottages here I think we hadn't really registered with ourselves just what an ideal location we had here - close to Penzance and so many spectacular places and beaches yet set in quiet countryside, two minutes walk to the well stocked shop and a baker, post office, chemist, fish and chip shop and a pub all within 5 minutes walk too. It may be a longish journey down to far west Cornwall but boy is it worth those extra few miles!

Boscrowan is unique. Both Peace & Plenty and the sister cottage (Ring & Thimble) are beautiful in their own ways, and ideal havens in which to relax, within a quiet farm where you'll be left in privacy or able to get involved as you please. Cream tea on arrival, the very best eggs for breakfast, and all in a most comfortable cottage which will feel just like home within minutes of arriving. The location is perfect, easy to reach the north and south coasts of Penwith, St Ives, and the beaches and walks on The Lizard. A week at Boscrowan is a fixture in our calendar, every year!

We have stayed at Peace and Plenty many times before. It is a wonderful place to stay; comfortable, relaxed, home from home. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the White Company linen sheets make it even more comfortable and luxurious.
Every time we go the cottage has been updated so it never looks tired or dated.
Elizabeth & David are such wonderful hosts. They are thoughtful and generous with their time if you require it.
We never thought we'd return to the same place over and over again but it's hard not to when we've found somewhere so special.

From booking to arrival and indeed our whole stay at Peace and Plenty was perfect. There were so many additional thoughtful touches, beautiful daffodils from the farm, tea set out on arrival, home made marmalade and apple juice not forgetting the trug of fresh vegetables.
The cottage offered all two couples needed for a short break in Cornwall, next time our stay needs to be longer. Often there are things that don't quite work or are missing in the kitchen but not in this case, sadly we did not have time to make fresh bread in the bread maker.
Our evenings were spent by the wood burning stove, cosied up playing board games.
We would throughly recommend Peace and Plenty as perfect place to stay and thank Elizabeth for her welcome.

We discovered Peace and Plenty at the end of 2001 and our yearly stays there have given us sheer enjoyment ever since. It is truly a home from home for us and our Christmas and New Years Holidays would not be the same without it. Absolutely the best way to end and begin a year. The cottage is superbly equipped; the decoration and soft furnishing a la Elizabeth Harris provide a very special touch and are updated regularly. There is always something new and nice. We love the reversed layout with the sitting room overlooking the wonderful garden at the front and the orchard at the back. Peace and Plenty not only offers peaceful surroundings but also provides the perfect ambiance for relaxation and feet-up time. It is a great location for exploring the beauty of West Cornwall, the Lizard and beyond. We never fail to find something we haven't seen yet. Our hosts have always taken excellent care of us, and we already look forward to our next holiday at Peace and Plenty. Definitely top marks from us, yet again!

Peace and Plenty is a very special place. Very tastefully decorated and very clean. Elizabeth, the owner, goes out of her way to make you feel very welcome. The little touches of a trug of fresh vegetables, cream tea, natural toiletries, bathrobes and beautiful bed linen where very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to disearning holiday makers.

Peace and Plenty was stunning. There was a delicious cream tea, with home-made strawberry jam and blackberry jam, waiting for us, as well as a trug of vegetables from the garden, home-made marmalade and apple juice made from Boscrowan apples. The decor, furnishings, curtains made by Elizabeth, as well as lovely crockery, glassware, linen etc were all high quality. We had flowers from the garden in every room which was a lovely, special touch. A wood burning stove was laid ready for us but we never needed to light it because the house was cosy and comfortable all the time. The kitchen was very well-equipped, even including a bread maker and flour and yeast if we wanted to attempt to make bread.
We will definitely be returning to Boscrowan. We felt totally spoilt and there was nothing that could have made our stay any better.

If only we could stay here for a week every month of the year! Situated in a lovely setting, surrounded by gardens and fields, Peace and Plenty is one of the nicest cottages you would wish to find. Beautiful flowers in every room, yummy scones, clotted cream and pots of home made jams and marmalade - a Cornish cream tea for the most discerning of guests. Apple juice in the fridge and fresh vegetables for us as well. Light, airy and beautifully furnished, with a brilliant woodburner to boot, just simply a home from home which we looked forward to going back to each day. A perfect all year round cottage.
We'll be back.

Thank you for yet another glorious review. October is a lovely time of year to come and stay - the weather is often really good still, as it was for you and yet everywhere is less busy than the summer. We look forward to seeing you again - we know we will and we so enjoy your Boscrowan loyalty when there are so many places to choose from, just in our local vicinity - yet you still return to us, year after year. This is definitely your 'Cornwall home'.

A beautiful peaceful cottage set within a small farm. Horses and chickens and a friendly dog on the farm. Lovely gardens. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard in a country style. Very clean. Nice touches such as cream tea on arrival and fresh flower throughout the cottage. Plenty to do and see in the area such as Poldark mines, Falmouth, St. Ives, St. Michaels Mount, etc. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Boscrowan.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations and the attention to detail is amazing. The decor is country style and everything is colour co-ordinated with quality furniture and soft furnishings. Everything was in excellent condition including the carpets. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could think of plus pretty country style crockery and it even has a meat thermometer!! The gardens are really lovely and get sun in the early evening too.
If you would like to sleep well this is the place to stay as it is so quiet. It only takes 10 minutes at most to reach very good pubs/restaurants/ a variety of supermarkets by car.
The hosts are really nice people and attentive to your needs without being in your face.

The number of repeat customers who stay at Boscrowan speaks for itself, and is the very best evidence of the quality of the accommodation, and equally importantly the warm welcome that awaits on your arrival. We've lost count of our stays at Boscrowan and we feel like we have a timeshare in Peace & Plenty! Elizabeth and David are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble ... equally the accommodation is private and secluded, and it makes a wonderful and central base for exploring the very finest that Cornwall has to offer. It is simply, the very best, and we go back for more every year! A "home from home" is an over used phrase for holiday accommodation but it certainly applies to Boscrowan!

In a word Fabulous. Elizabeth at Boscrowan was an exemplary host who made our stay special. She was a delight with the children, who enjoyed meeting and feeding the animals.
The cottage itself is beautiful, with a wonderful log burner to keep you warm at night. The photos do not do the cottage justice, and in keeping with the whole experience, Boscrowan under promises and over delivers in every aspect. From the delicious Cornish afternoon tea with Cornish scones, cream and jam that was left for us on arrival, to the amazing Cornish pasties in the Freezer. The cottage is well stocked with games and consumables, and the fixtures and fittings are modern and easy to use. The cottage has a charm about it that you cannot understand until you stay there.
Going on holiday with children is so difficult, but Boscrowan makes it a pleasure and they use their wonderful farm to reunite the workaholic with their family. I loved it, my wife adored it and my daughter wants to be a farmer.. We cannot wait to return.

We have just had a lovely relaxing and luxurious short stay in Peace and Plenty and everything as ever was just perfect in every way possible Boscrowan is genuinely a small slice of paradise that we return to again and again, the cottage has undergone a few updates here and there including a fab new luxury bathroom suite, pure linen on the bed thick deep fluffy huge towels dressing gowns etc we continually find that nothing is ever lacking - everything is just there - all is thought of and that's what sets Elizabeth and David attention to detail apart from the crowd.
Penzance and all around was glorious in the March sunshine and blue skies and we walked our socks off - not needing the car as Boscrowan is such a central place to stay and set off from on foot
We are many time returners and have future stays already in the can! thank you Elizabeth and David for sharing Boscrowan with the rest of us, and we will see you again soon

We are many many time returners to Boscrowan cottages it is truly THE most lovely cosy relaxing place to enjoy short or longer stays and of course main holidays as ever the Boscrowan Magic was there in spades from the start and totally what we wanted for a winter week away
Elizabeth and David have been busy with refurbishing - including a new wood burner central to the upstairs living space making any central heating only ever needed for the downstairs bedroom spaces, also a very lovely new main bathroom adds yet even more luxury to the ground floor bedrooms
On arrival Elizabeths homemade cream tea is a fab start of things to come - the local produce is truly second to non - we must include the Boscrowan free range eggs - in November we had a hen busy laying outside our cottage everyday!
Elizabeth amazingly manages even this early in the year to fill every room and available space with pretty flowers from the her fabulous cottage gardens
Finally the kindness and thoughtfulness from both Elizabeth and David makes the whole complete
We recommend you come and try you won't be disappointed

Since our first stay for New Year 2001, my husband and I have spent every Christmas and New Year at Peace and Plenty. The enjoyment of spending the festive season at this wonderful and unique holiday home has never diminished. The home from home factor has actually increased the joy of being there. Elizabeth and David Harris never fail to add little and bigger extras to the already superb standard of the property. Over the years, we have also had several "non-festive" breaks at Peace and Plenty and the cottage next door (Ring and Thimble) which is also an absolute gem. We would not wish to miss the immense pleasure of staying at Boscrowan.

My husband and I are many time returning guests of Elizabeth and David to the holiday cottages at Boscrowan we have visited at all times of the year including Christmas and Easter and we always find that both cottages are simply faultless Elizabeth and David ensure that should you need any help or info it's there or very freely given, the cottages are set amongst beautiful surroundings with cottage gardening at its best often with chickens wandering about freely laying eggs almost on your door step!
Boscrowan is well situated within Penzance enabling you to enjoy many different walks for days on end without need of your car - Penzance is a well kept secret it's a haven for foodies with many fresh Newlyn fish outlets, deli's, local farmers markets, coffee shops, bakeries etc just whats needed at the end of a days walking to take back to the cottage and enjoy a freshly cooked local produce meal, it really doesn't get any better.

We had a wonderful week at Peace and Plenty. The property was meticulously prepared for our arrival. Spotlessly clean with beautiful cut flower arrangements, fresh vegetables to use and a cream tea including home-made scones and jams making us feel instantly at home. The owners, Elizabeth and David, were very welcoming and on hand whenever needed but not intrusive. The wooden floored open plan upstairs consisting of kitchen, dining and lounge areas was spacious, light and airy. A wood burning stove complemented the central heating and was a real treat in the evenings. The downstairs accommodation was ideal and of a very high standard. We were able to freely roam the gardens and fields belonging to the farm. This property is in a great location just on the edge of Penzance close to all amenities but in a very tranquil rural setting. There are many beaches and other attractions within a short drive. A very relaxing place to stay for families and couples in this beautiful part of Britain.

Excellent short break stay at Boscrowan Farm. Unseasonly warm weather was the icing on the cake and meant we were able to walk several sections of the SW coastal path. There was so much close at hand to do and see in the area.
The standard of the accommodation in Peace & Plenty exceeded expectations and we appreciated the extra touches, such as fresh flowers, complimentary cream tea on arrival, home produced fruit, veg, jams and apple juice. David and Elizabeth were always on hand to help or advise and nothing was too much trouble.
So thanks to you both for a great Cornish experience.

It may be a somewhat long journey to this further most area of the county but once here there is so much to do and see within a short distance - such is our location close to the end of a peninsula. Guests come and stay with us year after year yet still find new places to explore and new restaurants, cafes and galleries to visit. October is frequently a time when we experience great weather too.

We had a lovely week staying in the beautiful Peace and Plenty cottage. It was perfect, very clean and comfortable. We stayed with our two children (5 and 7). We loved it, the children didn't want to leave the cottage in the morning and were always happy to come "home" in the evening. The cottage is beautifully decorated there is plenty of room, the kitchen is great to cook in. Elizabeth and David are very kind and welcoming. We were able to feed the chickens and the horses, cat and Meg and Jess the dogs. We strongly recommend Peace and Plenty. We also visited the other cottage (Ring and Thimble in 2007, we didn't have children at that time) on Boscrowan farm.

Thank you for your kind words - we're glad you had such a great stay from beginning to end. Our location is great, even better than we initially realised when we embarked upon this venture 16 years ago - set in the countryside but so close to so many iconic places, both coasts, a well stocked shop open 7 days a week, 15 hours a day - just 2 mins walk. A baker, post office, chemist and pub - just 5 mins walk, the sea 5 mins drive, Penzance our nearest town 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk. Yet you wake up every morning and hear no traffic, but lovely birdsong and maybe even the clatter of horses hooves past your door. We are lucky to live here and are so happy to share Boscrowan with others.

We neded somewhere to stay for a week so that we could listen to 'In Choir' at Lands End and at the Minack. The venue was recommended to us. The accommodation was situated in an orchard with many birds and animals in view from the windows. The house was upside down with the lounge, kitchen and dining area upstairs the bedrooms down stairs.
We were in easy reach of several Nation Trust houses, gardens etc., and there were many other exciting places to visit eg: St. Ives, The Telegraph Museum, the Lizard, Lands End. There were exciting places to dine eg National Trust cafes, The Godolphin Hotel. There was of course the exciting 'St. Michaels Mount' very close.

We were delighted to meet you both and have you to stay at Boscrowan for a week. Indeed we are extremely well located to visit so many local beauty spots, museums, gardens, beaches and indeed a fine open air theatre - The Minack with its unique setting nestled into the cliffs overlooking the ocean. You certainly made the most of your time and we are delighted that you are planning to return to visit more places next time. Wherever you are in this area of south west Cornwall you are never very far away from both the South and the North coast and such a variation in scenery all around - hills, coast, beaches, moorland, quaint fishing villages to mention but some!

We so are glad you enjoyed your last minute, short stay and look forward to welcoming you back to Boscrowan again one day and hopefully for longer next time. There is so much to do and see in this part of Cornwall. It may be a long journey here but once you arrive as we are on the far end of the peninsula you are so close to both coasts and so many iconic places - a tremendous variation in scenery and all so nearby.

Boscrowan is perfect. We have returned time and time again (9 times, we think!) simply because you instantly feel "at home" from the moment you pass through the gates. Both properties are stunning, with everything you could need to make you feel at home. On arrival, the whole of Boscrowan welcomes you and makes you feel instantly at home, whether it be Meg the collie who loves to take you for a walk round the fields if you let her, the home made cream tea that awaits you when you arrive, or of course Elizabeth and David, for whom nothing is too much trouble. For those who don't know the far end of Cornwall, Boscrowan is ideally located as it is close to Penzance, with easy to access both coasts, as well as The Lizard, St Ives and the best bits of "Poldark country"! We've stayed in many lovely places, but none quite compare with Boscrowan, because it has the edge on quality, but more importantly a unique sense of homeliness. It's an essential part of our year!

We loved our peaceful time here. The kitchen facilities were superb and the wood burner a centre of attraction. However, the central heating was fine and more than enough in itself. We were only two staying here, but with the second bedroom it would be perfect for the larger family or friends. The roof lights and exposed beams or vaulted roof structure in the spacious kitchen and living area gives lots of lovely natural light. There are lots of features through out including attractive wooden flooring and beautifully finished fabrics. When we return to Cornwall for a holiday Boscrowan Farm will definitely be our first choice.

We are regular visitors to Boscrowan. It started 10 years ago on our honeymoon and we now take our children back for family holidays. It's perfect for couples or families.
The decor is beautiful and the cottage is well kitted our with everything you could possibly need. Elizabeth & David are welcoming and exceedingly helpful.
As a family we enjoy mucking in on the farm; feeding the chickens, horses, dogs and cats as well as enjoying time in the beautiful cottage. It's the perfect place to visit for our family.
The setting is idyllic, peaceful and safe.
This time we invited friends to join us and stay in The Ring and Thimble next door. They fell in love with Boscrowan just as we have.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Lots of nice pubs & cafes, mile of golden sandy beaches and plenty of footpaths to tread.
Absolute peace and perfection!

We are one of many time returners to Elizabeth and Davids wonderful pair of Boscrowan holiday cottages, it's always so easy for us to share our happiness and contentedness at their super and extremely high constant attention to detail in their pair of cottages, we always enjoy their home produce which is consistently of the very highest quality
Both Elizabeth and David have a unique and unfailingly friendly and inclusive attitude towards you as guests in their holiday cottage and it is apparant from the moment of your arrival and thus continues throughout your stay until sadly you have to depart.
This time our stay began by us taking part in a very fun charity 'sewing workshop' which Elizabeth had organised and what a fun way to start our holiday it was, this was an afternoon very typical of Elizabeth it was just so much fun nothing was too much trouble for her and new skills were indeed learned!
Of course as always we vote with our feet and we shall return..........

Having spent our Christmas and New Year's holiday at Peace and Plenty - and additional holidays - since 2001 shows how much we love it. It is a most beautiful and comfortable holiday sanctuary in a peaceful, yet central, location. Peace and Plenty and its neighbouring cottage Ring and Thimble are one of a kind, and to be highly recommended.

Thank you for your lovely review. We enjoy having you to stay every year for the Christmas/New year fortnight as much as you enjoy coming! The cottages seem to have evolved over the years to become the second homes of many rather than just self catering accommodation with only the necessary contents for a week's stay. This isn't to say they are cluttered but we try and provide everything useful that people might have in their own homes too and we do like a lot of nice and luxury too!

Elizabeth and David made us feel very welcome. We felt very much at ease and relaxed in Peace and Plenty. Some really lovely touches added to our stay. We used the bread maker, cooked the frozen pasties already in the freezer, indulged in the cream tea that was waiting for us on arrival....... We were really spoilt and look forward to visiting this lovely part of Cornwall again in the future. Thanks to both of you.

We had another wonderful stay at Peace and Plenty during the half term week, exploring beaches, historic sites and of course relaxing at Boscrowan Farm. The accommodation has everything you could possibly need and fantastic views over the gardens. The cream tea welcome and the trug full of home grown produce, as well as other tasty treats were delicious. Our nine year old daughter so enjoyed helping David and Elizabeth to look after the animals, it really made her holiday, thank you. We discovered some new places to visit and places to eat and are already looking forward to our next visit where we know there will always be a fantastic welcome from David and Elizabeth and a reliable, relaxing and peaceful place to stay.

We take our summer holidays in Cornwall usually taking two weeks( in two places )but next year we will be returning to Boscrowan for the entire holiday because it is quite simply the best cottage we have found and its location is perfect.
It gives easy accessibility to the sorts of places we enjoy:gardens, gastro pubs and beaches (Sennen Cove, for example rivalled anything France could offer, this year)
The cinema in Penzance offers National Theatre productions and we booked on line from home very easily .
Shopping at the big supermarkets is available.Parking at Tesco and then walking into Penzance saves a fortune in parking charges,by the way!

We last visited this part of Cornwall forty years ago - a lot has changed. After much research, we were fortunate to come across Boscrowan Farm as the base for our holiday. We chose Peace and Plenty and we were not disappointed. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome from the owner (and her two dogs and cat) and after a short introduction to the cottage we sat down to enjoy an excellent Cornish cream tea.
The cottage was exceptionally clean and well-equipped with some nice and unexpected extras. We have stayed in a a number of cottages over the past 5 years, and Peace and Plenty was definitely one of the best. We could have lit the large wood-burning stove but elected not to do so as the cottage was already at a nice, comfortable temperature. The fact that the living and sleeping levels are reversed means that the bedroom is cool which is something that we prefer.
Unlike some cottages that we have stayed in - things work. There is good wifi throughout the cottage, and the power of the shower is second to none. Access to the property is also very good (unlike some where the owner has forgotten to mention that a 4 by 4 might be helpful) and, although it is close to some useful local amenities, the cottage is very quiet by night.
The owner’s two ambassadors make daily calls to check on their guests’ welfare. We found that the occasional dog biscuit in return was much appreciated.
Boscrowan Farm is an ideal holiday location and the owners (Elizabeth and David) go out of their way to make the holiday special. If you are thinking of visiting Cornwall, then Boscrowan farm should be at the top of your list.

We had an excellent weeks stay here.
The accommodation was just as it looks in the pictures and everything was very clean. The house quickly felt like home with super comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen of every pan/ladle you could ever require.
Owners, Elizabeth and David, are friendly and available but not intrusive and were great with my little girl who has an interest in anything animal like.....they were always happy to let her help join in the feeding chores and this put the biggest of smiles on her face..... The favourite part of every day for her was when she got to help out.
I would highly recommend staying here, I have never holidayed in the uk before but I will definitely return.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and that the cottage felt like home, which is our ultimate intent. We like to give our guests full opportunity to cook on holiday, should they wish, by providing well equipped kitchens as we realise that often people have more time on holiday and enjoy sourcing local produce - fish from Newlyn, local veg and produce from our growing area etc. and eating here in the cottages. We love sharing Boscrowan and the animal feeding chores with our young guests should they show an interest and it was particularly good the week that you came that we had chicks hatching in the incubator too - an added bonus!

We are many times returners to Boscrowan
Both my husband and I had a wonderful week plus one extra a day in Peace and Plenty we have to say the cottage as ever was absolutely first class in every way possible, you just cannot fault the attention to detail, comfort and truly friendly faces of both Elizabeth and David.
The weather was mostly perfect and we walked everyday far and wide (Boscrowan is a brilliant central location for liberating yourselves and abandoning the car for days and days) we then on the spur of the moment decided to take the following week as an add on and this surely tells it's own story!
We love Boscrowan cottages what a perfect place to stay, relax recharge and just enjoy, by the way we have already have booked a two week stay over Xmas and New Year 2014 AND we just can't wait..........

If you're thinking of booking one of Boscrowan's properties - just do it! You will not regret it. Boscrowan is the perfect place to stay - two wonderful properties with everything you need and the very best of hosts, who are available if needed for anything but equally the properties afford you privacy to do your thing and come and go as you please. Boscrowan is great for both families (children will love the animals, egg collecting and walks with one of the resident collies) and couples who want relaxation and a little luxury. Within 5 minutes of Penzance, yet it feels like the middle of nowhere, Boscrowan provides a great base for touring the area, from Lands End to The Lizard, St Ives and both coastlines. And if it rains, just stoke up the fire, get the clotted cream, strawberry jam and scones and enjoy! The owners have many regulars, who (like us) think of the place as a second home! Once you've been to Boscrowan, you will come back again!

Even Meg (collie junior) recognised you again this year as soon as you arrived and begged to take you from the suitcases and unpacking to go with her for a walk around the fields, obviously remembering that you are a daily walking companion when you are here. We're delighted and flattered that you consider Boscrowan to be your second home!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay here and such a shame that you didn't have better weather for this holiday, although at this time of year it can be somewhat unpredictable. Also, often when it is fine on one coast it can be completely different a few miles away on the other coast - such can be the weather when we live so close to the sea.

Stayed for a long weekend in this beautiful converted barn. Everything from the cream tea waiting for us and daffodils in vases from the field out the back, the wood burner and a well stocked freezer with pasties and croissants, Elizabeth has thought of everything to make our stay that extra special. Location wise you have everything you need within either a short walk or short taxi into Penzance for restaurants. Unlike us we normally like to eat out most nights, we ended up staying in 2 out of 3 nights as it was so cosy and the weather was so awful! Elizabeth is always there to help and nothing is too much trouble for her. Even when we had a short power cut late evening due to the extreme weather (and first one they have had) Elizabeth was straight over to us with candles and torch making sure we were ok. The wood burner was a god send too! The bed was so comfortable, we had a bathroom each both with great powerful showers! We really didn't want to leave and I tried to convince my husband to stay an extra night unfortunately work prevailed. Loved the dogs & cats that roamed around and greeted you. We will definitely be returning for another stay, hopefully in better weather next time, however whatever the weather it will not disappoint I can assure you. Thank you Elizabeth & David for making our stay at your wonderful accommodation everything we had hoped it would be.... plenty of peace!

Peace & Plenty is a lovely place to stay with everything you could wish for and then some more, it is a delight. We were welcomed with delicious scones and tea and were given plenty of helpful information on arrival (actually Elisabeth had sent us useful travel information even before we set off). Our 8 year old daughter loved playing on the farm with Elisabeth & David always happy to help her to get to know the dogs, cat, horses, ducks and geese. We found the cottage a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay and an excellent base to explore west Cornwall, which clearly also has much to offer.
