It had the wow factor as soon as you walked in. The Balcony looking over the sea was amazing especially as Binoculars provided. Grandchildren loved being able to see Butlins. My only criticism is, the Glass Lantern and internal white windows need a good clean. Also the outside guttering. We felt as this was a luxury holiday home that those things should be addressed. But we did have a lovely time being with our children. So close to the beach. And the games room in the garden.

with views across to the sea is fun, although stairs are a little tight. Great welcome pack. Lovely peaceful break.

This is the second year we’ve stayed at Sea Folly and really enjoyed it. We are a mixed group with ages ranging from 3 to 67 and there is something for everyone. The garden is safe and a great place for the children to play games and run around whilst the older amongst us can sit in the upstairs lounge and chill out. The living area is great to entertain larger parties (we have various family members staying in other accommodation) and weather permitting the barbecue and outdoor seating area accommodates us all. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge and freezer and most importantly a wine fridge. The icing on the cake is the pool table and darts board in the separate games room and the outdoors table tennis table.
Walking to the beach is easy there’s plenty to do in and around Hunstanton all in all a great holiday.

A minor point why have the front gates been left in such a state. It there in your face every time you pass them - Even a coat of paint would help in curb appeal

A perfect house in a great location to celebrate a family occasion. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely extra touches including a delicious box of welcome gifts and luxurious toiletries. Would definitely return and highly recommend it.

Second time we have stayed at Sea Folly and we have really enjoyed both stays. The property is well place for sea views and for local facilities, town and pubs and restaurants. Access to the beach is nearby and as an added bonus there is a bus stop a short walk away. Customer service is excellent and any questions or help required is responded to quickly and efficiently.

We recently stayed at sea folly which was a perfect location to connect with other family members. The comfortable bedrooms and spacious kitchen/lounge areas was fantastic. We especially loved the upstairs seating area with the view of the lighthouse and sea. Will be definitely be booking again.

If we tell the truth and the whole truth about this wonderful holiday home, will we find space available for our next years breaks.
Sea Folly is a perfect destination, with a beautiful garden which includes a games-room and table tennis table, plenty of space for the dogs to enjoy their time away.
Wonderful bi-fold doors bring the outside in on a warm day.
We have nothing but praise for the house inside, plenty of everything you need, bedding of superior grade, lovely bouncy pillows.
We could go on and on,

Last year we stayed at another Norfolk coast property and enjoyed it so much we came back this year but this was our first time staying at the Sea Folly.
We were just as pleased staying here, spacious accommodation, perfect for a large group of people and plenty of room for dogs too. Very clean, comfortable and perfect location near the beach and close enough to walk to the town. Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend!

This was our second time staying in this beautiful home. We traveled with young children and appreciated having the option to include pack and plays and high chair. The garden and game room were a big hit. Loved watching sunset from the balcony. Can’t wait to come stay again.

A great house for a family gathering with ages from 2 to 66.
The games room and table tennis table were well used and great fun was had by all.
There was plenty of outdoor space and seating and a lovely gas BBQ. Inside was spacious with plenty of seating and a well equipped kitchen.
My only suggestion for improvement would be that Norfolk Coastal Cottages arranged hot tub installation for those who want one and install an electric car charging point.
Overall a great place to stay and hopefully we will return next year.

Had a great family holiday. Especially enjoyed the pool table and darts in the separate games room. The look out was wonderful - could spend hours up there. So clean and modern - such a good design of property. Just be aware, some bedrooms are better than others with internet connection- didn’t spoil our holiday though.

We loved our week at Sea Folly. It has the best location - right across from the cliffs and with sunset views. It is an easy walk into Hunstanton one way, or to Old Hunstanton the other. The property is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The garden is huge and a great space to enjoy. It isn't cheap by any means, but you can see what you are paying for. The cleaning wasn't up to the standards of 2021 (when we stayed at Lodge Cottage), but we would certainly return to Sea Folly!

A great, well equipped property which has all the comforts of home that is expected in a Norfolk Coast Holiday Cottage. It is in an excellent location with wonderful views of the sea. My family celebrated a birthday at Sea Folly and it couldn’t have been better. Beautifully furnished and equipped with big, comfy beds, quality linen and towels and super bathrooms. The huge communal living space with lots of sofas and a large dining table is just great for mixing. We also enjoyed the log burner and the outdoor room with a great pool table. The upstairs sitting room with a balcony overlooking The Wash was lovely too. This was a Winter stay and I can imagine it is even nicer in the Summer as the garden is large and safe for children. We loved it.

Regular visitors to Old Hunstanton and The Lodge, including Norfolk Coast Holiday Cottages.
Customer Service is at the forefront in everything that Brittany and her wonderful team give you from start to finish
Sea Folley is a fantastic family base to explore, being situated high overlooking The Wolf statue on the Tops, five minutes from the beach and a 15 minute stroll into Hunstanton.
It’s spacious and has everything you need in abundance.
We always use the Lodge for refreshments, the breakfasts are amazing in quality and value
We have booked for October and November this year and will be back next year so that tells you everything our family think of this place

Beautiful holiday home. Lots of space to have your own space and enjoy time with the family.

The upstairs observation lounge is a great area to watch the sun set, read and enjoy some quiet time. We didn’t manage to sit out on the balcony, the weather was too cold however the space and bifold windows are so inviting it gives you an outdoor feel even without being outside.

The games room at the bottom of the garden looks great and I’m sure will get a lot of use. We did have a quick game of darts and the addition of heating in the room made it a lovely evening. A room that can be used all year.

My elderly parents with disabilities joined us for the week and managed to get around the place without any problems. There are shower mats and even a small stool to help them in the shower. It’s the small things that count :)

WiFi is ok, could do with either repositioning or some booster boxes. Whilst we wouldn’t always want to work whilst away, if we did the only good rooms for wifi is the living area and the garden bedroom. The upstairs room which would be a good area for getting away to complete a bit of work doesn’t have the wifi reach. In the new WFH world we definitely consider good access to wifi especially if we just want to work from a different place and enjoy the evenings by the sea.

Sea Folly is a beautiful property and really is a home from home, equipped with everything you could need on holiday. There is plenty of space for everyone to be together, or have time on their own, and the new games room (with pool table, darts and TV) was well used by our family.

The beds are incredibly comfortable and it is like sleeping in a cloud. And it is such a peaceful area - except when the local seagulls get excited.

In fact if it wasn’t for a couple of minor issues it would have been perfect. The first issue was that the temperature in our shower (the smallest room with the en suite) had two temperatures, which were boiling and scalding, rendering it unusable. Although we reported it in the Saturday (the day after we arrived) and a plumber came on the Monday, it did not actually get fixed while we were there, which was disappointing. In addition, we had to follow up on the Thursday to find out what was happening, rather than being kept informed.

We also had to request new batteries for the TV remotes. I would also make a suggestion for hooks to be put on the back of the bathroom doors.

All in all though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (which was actually our third stay in the property) and I’m sure won’t be our last.

A beautifully presented and well appointed cottage: Sea Folly was spacious and very comfortable with an excellent enclosed garden and a games room.

We had a lovely stay sea folly. We loved the view of the historic ruins and lighthouse. We enjoyed the ability to walk to Hunstanton or old Hunstanton. We also enjoyed our walk along the beach/cliffs. It was my husband, our 2 month old infant and myself. Of course the house could sleep more but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also added hot tub which was a treat.

We stayed at the wonderful Sea Folly over New Year and was not disappointed! It was booked for our family to meet and catch up - all living in seperate parts of the country. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, so comfortable and large enough for 7 adults, a child and a baby. The house is equipt with everything you could possibly need and the location is just amazing! It was lovely sitting upstairs one afternoon, chatting, reading and drinking hot chocolate as well as sampling a few glasses of wine when the children were in bed in the evening. We enjoyed a lovely meal one evening at the Lodge pub / restaurant, just minutes down the road.

This house is very comfortable and spacious. There was everything you need for a holiday. Some of the pans need replacing and the cooker was not easy to use. There is a dishwasher but more crockery is needed. The bedding is of good quality and the bedrooms are spacious. The location is ideal. There is a lovely garden which is ideal if you have a dog. We would book this property again.

Sea Folly is an excellent place to stay in Hunstanton as it is very centrally located yet in a peaceful area overlooking the cliff. The property was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. It was nice to have the upstairs area as a quiet retreat and to watch the sun go down. We love everything about Sea Folly but especially the room upstairs with balcony overlooking the cliff top.
It is beautifully furnished and has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen.

Having stayed at the smaller cottages and the Lodge several times previously, we were looking forward to quality family time in this luxurious house. The house is lovely & the garden ideal for a lively 2-year old, as the weather wasn’t so great for the beach. Hired the hot tub, but this also wasn’t used much because of the weather, but that’s the UK! All-in-all, lovely time had by all!

Fantastic house for a family holiday. Well thought out space and plenty of it. The upstairs snug and balcony is ideal if you need a bit of quiet space away from noisy grandchildren for a while. Garden is big enough for games and seating ideally placed to follow the sun throughout the day. Beach is an easy 10 minutes walk across the road or walk a little further along to Old Hunstanton for less pebbly sand. Information says parking for 2 cars in the driveway but we managed 3 easily. Word of warning- one night we parked one of them overnight on the road as a family member needed to be out early the following morning and completely missed the notice that said no parking between 10pm and 8am so incurred a parking fine. Our fault completely, but I’m not sure where you would park if there are more cars than could fit on the driveway. We had a lovely time here even though the weather wasn’t great, however I did find the cost of hiring a hot tub as suggested by previous reviewers very prohibitive and wonder why, given the £2,500 cost for rental, there isn’t a hot tub permanently available and included. I have compared similar properties in the area and elsewhere and most of them do have one which is why I’ve not rated 5 for value for money That said, it is a great place and we would definitely use it again if holidaying in Norfolk.

This is the first time that we have stayed at the Sea Folly, as in previous years we have stayed at the Sea Salt so by returning yet again I think it says it all about the property.

Beautiful property with a well equipped kitchen. Although the wine cooler was not working, but there was still plenty of room in the fridge for our wine, beers and juices.
Comfortable beds, and high spec furniture and fittings.
Perfect location and with the beach being a 5 mins walk is fantastic for the children and dog.
Safe enclosed rear garden with plenty of outside furniture and lots of space for the children to play games.
The upstairs lounge with the balcony and sea views was perfect for relaxing and watching the amazing sunset at 9.15pm most evenings.

Great to have a supply of all the necessary items like dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc.

Would definitely recommend and will be booking again for next year - 2022.

Lovely place to stay, ideal location, comfortable and we all felt at home. Sitting outside with the bifold doors open was terrific.
Only a short walk to all the amenities in Hunstanton, the beach or Old Hunstanton.

This house is the best we have stayed in at Old Hunstanton. It has everything you need, The look out is a great place to chill and look at the sea. Good outdoor seating and large dining room table for eating. We definitely will return next year x

The house was in a perfect spot overlooking the sea. The layout of the house was excellent extremely good for a family holiday with our young adult children. The bedrooms are spacious and well set out with lovely bedding and pillows, No complaints about the showers accommodating 9 of us. The garden is a delight and we played many games in the spacious garden. We hired a hot tub which is recommended. Every night we met at the garden bar for drinks and then proceeded to eat out or in the villa there are various restaurants and takeaways so choice is good. The balcony in the top room is a delight watching the sunset in the evening was a real treat.

The beaches are a stones throwaway with sand dunes to play Boules or Cricket. The sea in August was amazingly warm, we loved the walks along the promenade watching the waves crashing down. we were lucky and had the use of beach hut again a luxury recommended.

All in all Sea Folly loved up to and beyond expectations.



40 odd years of holidaying in Norfolk, this has to be the best.

Our second year at Sea Folly, we fortunately booked it in May 2019 so had this break to look forward to
Excellent location for some of the best beaches in Norfolk, lots to do in the area for all ages.
Sea Folly is an excellent family holiday home beautifully decorated, well equipped kitchen, large dining and comfortable seating area all you could wish for.
Go for it!

We stayed in this property over Christmas. It is a beautiful property and nice and warm. It is well equipped with everything you need, it would benefit from more instructions on the appliances. The bedrooms are a good size with ample storage. The views are lovely and it is right near the beach. It is open plan but we liked this. The garden is completely enclosed so our dogs were safe. We found the beds hard and uncomfortable but others that have stayed there thought the opposite so I think it is down to what you are use to.

We are a family group of 8 adults and 2 dogs and Sea Folly was beautiful, spacious accommodation for us all.
As with all The Lodge’s places the beds / bedding are a joy - luxurious and super comfortable.
The rest of the place didn’t disappoint.
The kitchen was well equipped with a double oven range cooker, large fridge freezer and plenty of crockery etc.
Log burner with kindling and logs, three huge sofas, great space to relax.
We had a small issue with a fuse but someone was out immediately- the service from the Lodge is always first class. As are the meals, we ate in there twice during the week.
Lovely location, beautiful view from the upstairs room.
Hope to return.

House has vow factor however attention to detail lacking. Mirror over toilet in en suite. Frying pans for cooking cheap which contrasts with high quality furnishing.

Fabulous cottage ,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Folly. The property is excellent . Fabulous attention to detail and high spec accommodation. Nothing too much trouble excellent customer service given by the managers at The Lodge just down the road. Amazing views from the balcony . This is our second family holiday at Sea Folly. We just love everything about the house,from the space it provides, the location, the standard of the furnishings and the large garden, which is ideal for my grandchildren to play in.
The balcony is a lovely place to relax, watch the world go by and admire the sunsets.
We have already booked for next year!

Fabulous holiday at Sea Folly, accommodation is perfect for a larger family with a dog. If I had a niggle then the cleaning under the beds could be improved, however, everything else was spotless, well maintained/furnished and we had an excellent stay. I would happily recommend this property, definitely one of the nicer self catering properties for families with dog(s) and in a great location too.

We have stayed at Sea Folly twice now, best house we have ever stayed! Location is beautiful and the house is very well equipped. The beds are really comfortable and the decor is gorgeous! The only reason I have given a good not excellent for value is that the property sleeps 8 and there were only 4 of us but even so I would definitely recommend.
The property is dog friendly and in a fabulous position for walking. There are great places to eat and shop just minutes away, can’t wait to go again!

We are three couples who would normally go to one of the 6 nations super Saturday matches and watch the other two in a pub or bar.
We decided that we would like to do something different this year, so booked Sea Folly.
Well we will do this again, the place is beautiful and comes with everything you need to spend time in the house and the day watching Rugby.
Big beds and rooms, great bathrooms, a huge living/kitchen area and large well kept gardens.
The house has been recently been refurbished with all new furniture and decor.
Absolutely the best house we've rented and cannot recommend highly enough.
We will be back.

We stayed with my Brother and Sister in Law and our dogs for a week. The house is fabulous, well equipped, beautifully decorated and the beds are so comfortable!
The location is ideal, the beach is a stones throw away and there is a big garden.
We are looking forward to re booking!

This is the second stay at this cottage and had another fabulous stay.Great base for us all to enjoy the area or just chill at the cottage.Truffles the Labrador feels at home as soon as we pull up in the drive.Great space inside and outside with a 10/15 minute stroll to the beach.Very lucky with the weather again.Hopefully book again in 2019 if it is available anytime.Thankyou

What an exceptional property. There were 6 adults and 2 dogs in our party and plenty of room for all. The garden was great for the dogs and people too. The view from the viewing platform was great and acted as an extra escape for the younger members of our group. We would certainly book again.

We had originally booked the old lighthouse but this was hit by lightning on the morning of our arrival and was therefore out of action. We were contacted by phone and offered Sea Folly as an alternative.
We were not disappointed.
Sea Folly was an excellent alternative. It is a spacious, well appointed, comfortable property. The bedrooms are spacious, some with en suite facilities. The kitchen is really well equipped with high end electrical goods. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area has a large dining table and very comfortable sofas. There is a wood burning stove, which we did not need due to the heat wave.
There are two sets of bi-fold doors which allow access to the garden which is huge and very dog friendly. The garden furniture is, again, top quality and very comfortable.
The best feature of the property is the upstairs balcony, offering a sea view. The rocking chairs provide an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set. Thoughtfully, there is a fridge to keep your wine chilled and if you want to eat up there, there is also a dining table, sink and preparation area. Sofas are also there if you want to relax with a book.
I cannot fault Sea Folly in anyway and would highly recommend it. Thank you for a lovely stay.

3rd summer holiday in one of The Lodges cottages all thoroughly enjoyed. We have watched Sea Folly being transformed into such a luxurious cottage on walking in we couldn't believe how absolutely lovely it was. We can't recommend it highly enough. Hope to stay next year.

Lovely gamble as when I booked this holiday cottage it was still having a total renovation this paid off brilliantly!! Great open Spaced bungalow with a room upstairs to sit and enjoy the views either in the room or on the balcony.4 good size bedrooms with two been on suite very comfy beds.Wooden floors throughout so easy to keep clean whilst you enjoy your stay.My dog soon adapted to the property and really made herself at home enjoying the enclosed back garden which was a sun trap great having an outside tap to easily fill her paddling pool.Seafolly from the outside looks small but when you enter the property it's a real surprise having 4 toilets 3 showers in total handy for large groups wanting to get ready at the same time.The location is on the cliff top which is handy for beach walks or just a stroll into town.The week we came had great weather and saw some lovely sunsets,we hope to return to this property.thank you

Sea Folly looks fairly ordinary from the outside but when you walk in the front door you find a stunning open plan space which contains the kitchen, dining and living areas. They are all very well equipped. Outside is a huge patio (with a barbecue) and a garden area with all the furniture you need. The garden itself is pleasant and will be lovely when it is established. It was ideal for our family of 6 adults + a 4 and a 2 year old.
The bedrooms were very comfortable.... One is a good size and the other three are smaller.
Climb up the wooden stairs (they are a bit steep, but you get used to them!) At the top there is a beautiful view ,so you can watch the world go by and enjoy the sunsets which Hunstanton is famous for. There are settees and chairs and facilities for making drinks and keeping the wine cool!
We were the first visitors to Sea Folly. There were a few small teething problems which were dealt with quickly. All the staff are friendly and very helpful.
See you next year!
