The position offers the best sea views in Old Hunstanton.it is an iconic landmark.
The garden is big enough for children and dog to play in . Outdoor furniture on the patio wasn’t needed in November despite the mild weather .Room to park 4 cars on gravel area.
3 bedrooms ground floor. All surprisingly spacious . Beds are so comfortable you may not want to get up.
En suite generous size. One has a bath and shower. Gorgeous complimentary toiletries
Utility with loo.
Up the carpeted stairs( I’d imagined stone steps!!)Safety gate at the top . 4th bedroom.
Into the main area. Fabulous. It is so comfortable. Feels like a home not holiday accommodation.
The views are amazing. Glass doors to balcony with seating.
Well equipped kitchen . Has everything you need and more
I only live 40 minutes from here but felt as though I’d left daily life behind to stay in this unique property that I have walked by or seen from a distance for years.
I’d like to say that climbing the Lighthouse itself is a must to get the best 360 view. Stone steps. The last climb is via a sturdy wooden ladder. Once outside the wall is high so it’s safe but small people may need lifting up to see . Downstairs you can go into the cell for smugglers too.
I have already booked to come again

We had a wonderful week here. We were 3 generations and we all found plenty to occupy ourselves, even though the weather was not great. We appreciated the welcome hamper and found everything extremely comfortable, apart from the carpet in the first floor bedroom which looks rather tired. We have already booked for next summer.

It was easy to pick up the keys and a short drive to get to the lighthouse. We found a lovely welcome pack to greet us. It was very windy weather and we did have a problem with noise through the bathroom vents downstairs but everything else was great.

From the moment you approach the property you know you are staying somewhere special. The history of the building makes staying at The Old Lighthouse amazing.
We were a family of 8. There was plenty of room and it was great that everyone had their own bathroom. Living area spacious with plenty of seating both outside and in. Loads of crockery, cutlery etc.
Property was very clean throughout.
Children had fun exploring the dungeon and the tower. Steps very steep so only under supervision.
Very close to beach and an ice cream parlour and cafe right next door. Easy walk to Old Hunstanton with a great pub, village shop and arts and crafts centre to wander round.
Good longer walk the opposite way giving you shops, seafront, funfair etc if you want it.
Loads to keep you busy in surrounding area. Sandringham park very close by.
Couple of issues while we were there were quickly resolved by the property management team. Very efficient.
We had a great time and definitely hope to be back some time.

Probably the best holiday home I have ever stayed in. The views were incredible from every room on the top floor. The bonus being a trip up the stairs to the top of the Lighhouse.
It was a joy to sit at the breakfast bar to people watch and stare at the sea. The balcony was also awesome, even on a sunny February weekend. All four bedrooms are set up to a very high standard and were very comfortable with good showers. The lounge sofa was also very comforatble and a large dining table was great for large get togethers. The kitchen had every thing you could think of and more. Overall this property is 10/10 for everything - faultless. Highly reccomend staying here.

My daughter owns a very busy business and we have no time to holiday except for our January trek to Norfolk. We have just spent two weeks in The Old Lighthouse and it was perfect. We love to meet up with the staff, who work so hard to make stays in their properties perfect and they once again didnt disappoint. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the beautiful holiday venue, not one complaint, just wish we could have brought Jackie, the House Keeper and her team home with us! The Light house was immaculate.This review would not be complete without a shoutout for Brittany and Josh, who ensure the perfect management of The Old Lighthouse, without any intrusion. Believe me, we have loved every moment, watching the sunsets, the moods of the sea and even got a wave from a hang glider as he whizzed past the window! We have come home refreshed, recharged and looking forward to our next stay in The Lighthouse, and I’ve got 12 months to persuade my daughter that three weeks next year might be a very good idea!

An excellent location for a holiday on N Norfolk Coast. Views from Kitchen and Sitting room superb. Experienced stunning sunset and Harvest Moon. Facilities in The Lighthouse excellent. Kitchen well equipped. All bedrooms en-suite which suited us as three independent people. The welcome hamper was a nice touch and even treats for the dogs. Stairs quite steep but soon got used to them. The sofas were quite low and not always easy to get up from. I would certainly like to return.

This is our second stay at the iconic lighthouse, it doesn't disappoint, beautifully decorated and very well equipped from a mixer in the kitchen to the laundry downstairs.. four en suite bedrooms, one on the main floor which is ideal for older parents. The stairs as you would expect in a lighthouse are a steep and uneven but there is a sensible stairgate to protect old and young and a banister rail, my parents are 88 and managed them fine.
The views from every room upstairs ( lounge, kitchen are wonderful)
Hunstanton has some lovely places to visit nearby such as Holkham Hall, Thornham deli and Burnham Market for a bit of retail therapy. Then back home to luxury and comfort.
It is at the high end price wise but worth every penny.

We stayed for a week and had the best time ever. The house is well equiped and the rooms where comfortable and clean each with their own en-suite. The beds are super comfortable making getting out of them in the morning difficult :-)

Take a trip up the tower for the best views, binoculars and a telescope are provided if you really want to take your time and see everything around you. The living area is open plan, spacious and comfy. With a large TV with Sky Q attached and ready to use.

We stayed to celebrate my wifes 40th Birthday and had friends over in the daytime, there was plenty of room inside to entertain and the outside space is large with some nice outdoor seating both on the balcony and the patio below.

The living area and balcony are the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the sea.

Nice ornaments around the house fit in with the styling.

The kitchen is very well equiped with everyting you will need to cook and serve just about any meal.

Overall a fabulous place to stay and couldnt recommend enough.

This was our second visit to the Old Lighthouse, with the same group of friends as last year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Old Lighthouse is such an iconic location, and it is fun to see people walking past, commenting that they would like to stay there!
We found it very well equipped, with plenty of kitchen equipment and games to play. As the weather was actually better than forecast, we went out every day, and enjoyed cooking together and playing games in the evenings. We used the local bus to go to Wells-next-the-sea, walked on the beach and had fish & chips in Hunstanton.
Happy to recommend to others.

It was our first time of staying in the Old Lighthouse and we’ve had a fantastic time celebrating a big birthday with family and friends. Everything is of the high quality you’d expect and the views are amazing. We found it a very relaxing place to stay. We had some cold days but it was never difficult to keep it all warm and cosy.

There's not a single thing that hasn't been thought of at the Old Lighthouse. It is a magnificent and fascinating property with panoramic views, luxurious furnishings and everything you could possibly need to make your stay unique and memorable. Perfect for families, couples, groups of friends and dogs if you have them. We really enjoyed our stay at the lighthouse, we were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with all the family and they all said what enjoyable holiday it was. We were impressed with the furniture and fittings as they were of a Very high standard. my only complaint was some of the bathrooms were a bit on small side, but we managed ok, I understand there is not much you could do about it as Was part of the design of the building.
We would love to go back to lighthouse some time in the future for another stay, it was excellent.

The Old Lighthouse is a stunning property, we felt very privileged being able to stay there.
Just a couple of things to mention, ice cube trays in the freezer would be useful along with a wine cooler for use on the downstairs patio area.
I also didn’t find the check-in/check-out details particularly clear and when contacting the office to ask where to collect the keys from, to be told it’s a couple of minutes walk away from the lighthouse, just wasn’t accurate. The lockbox outside the front door would be much easier to use.
That said, we had a wonderful time and made some amazing memories to treasure forever.

Many thanks for your review, we are delighted you had a wonderful time and made some amazing memories. We appreciate the constructive feedback and have taken some time this morning to look into these points to see if we can improve things for future guests; I'm pleased to address the points as below; There certainly should be ice cube trays, I have ordered some today so they can be popped back in on the next changeover and we will also put in a wine sleeve to help keep wine cold when on the patio as you suggest. We are in a unique position in that as well as the nine self catering properties we own we also own a local hotel, we use this hotel as a base and point of contact or the self catering properties which are all dotted around the same village. We sent you a Booking Confirmation on 23rd February 2021 and again on 4th March 2022 which explained we would contact you 2 days prior to your arrival with the arrival information including key collection. On 8th May 2022 (5 days prior to arrival) we contacted you with this information and I can't really see how it can be much clearer as the email contains the full postal address of the hotel where keys are collected. We prefer this method rather that a key press on the property as its so much more personal. The distance from The Lodge Hotel to The Old Lighthouse is 0.6 miles which takes to drive (I timed it this morning) 1 minute 44 seconds which included a 20 second wait behind a stationary truck making a delivery. This is obeying the speed limits of course! I can't see how my colleagues advice that the property was a couple of minutes away was not accurate. Once again, thank you for taking the time to review us and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future.

Been loads of times before - the views from the lounge and coastline are outstanding. Pretty much everything you need for a weeks stay is provided incl this time a brand new bbq. We were 6 adults and 2 infants. The bedrooms are small but modern with good ensuites, loads of safe gated parking. Everything provided works People controlling the rental are very friendly if you need help ask. Clearly the more you fill it the better the value.My advice is just go (but not when we book!).

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this iconic building. The layout is well thought out, the accommodation is very well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. Four ensuite bedrooms are hard to find in the self catering holiday market and for four different couples is ideal.
The lighthouse is ideally situated to visit this lovely area of the Norfolk coast and even if you want to stay local there is plenty to see and do in walking distance. Sunsets on the balcony not to be missed.

I am sorry that you feel it is expensive but we consider ourselves to be very competitive with other properties which are not as unique as a lighthouse. With regards to the TLC we always have maintenance booked in and we currently have the whole exterior booked in this year to be painted which is a massive job. I do hope that you will be back to stay in one of our properties again soon.

The Old Lighthouse in Hunstanton is an iconic building with an interesting history. As a holiday cottage, it is well equipped for 8 adults, with comfortable bedrooms, en suite bathrooms and plenty of open plan space for us to share. We were blessed with beautiful weather, which meant we could use the outdoor balcony, play games, chat and relax with our friends. The kitchen has plenty of equipment and all the white goods to make it easy to cook for ourselves.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Hunstanton town, or you can explore further along the coast to Heacham or Holme-next-the-Sea. Close to a bus route, you really don't need to use your car. We had a lovely time!

Lovely warm place to stay with fantastic views. Very well equipped. With 2 dogs and a small child it was easy to keep clean with boot and coat areas where the dogs could dry off also. Easy access to beach for great dog walks.

Absolutely beautiful property with the most breathtaking views. We arrived in the dark and immediately fell in love with this beautiful property. The kids loved being able to go to the top of the Lighthouse. All of the four bedrooms were really comfortable and well lequipped. The living area was stunning with little spaces to sit in different groups. Fabulous decor and every need was taken care of. We loved the welcome cake and drinks. The best bit was watching the Sun go down over the sea.

From booking right through to check out I could not fault the service we received. The staff at The Lodge went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The Lighthouse itself has been renovated to an extremely high standard. We stayed here in 2008 and loved it so much we wished to return and the renovation has certainly improved the overall feel of the Lighthouse. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, a well equipped kitchen, a lovely, large lounge with plenty of seating options and great views over The Wash, a truly luxurious place to stay, every little detail has been thought of.

Ideally located, a short walk along the cliff tops into town, alternatively many lovely walks along the Norfolk Costal Path. I cannot recommend this place to stay or the customer service from Norfolk Coast Holiday Cottages highly enough.

Family pre Xmas trip with a special twist of staying in the lighthouse! Absolutely wonderful experience. Plenty of room for 8 of us with en-suite in all 4 rooms. Modern interior and how lovely with the Xmas tree and decorations made it feel very special and warm. Will definitely be booking again. Very helpful and friendly staff at the nearby lodge hotel where we collected key. We finished our weekend off with morning coffee at the hotel after checking out.

Generally excellent, we are returning ! However a couple of the bathrooms were not cleaned satisfactorily and we cleaned them on arrival and told the Lodge when we dropped the keys in, so hopefully that will not happen for others.
The views are stunning and watching a sunset from the top of the tower is a must !

The lighthouse is well equipped and very comfortable. We were only 4 people so there was lots of room but I think you'd be fine with 6-8 guests. The views were lovely particularly from the kitchen and the deck. The sunsets were also amazing. The location is great for walking down to the beach and along the coastal path. There are houses nearby so you are definitely not isolated and the coast path overlooks the garden but mostly you feel other people's jealousy as they pass by. We really enjoyed our stay and the customer service was also excellent.

Perfectly laid out for a group of adults. Very comfy beds. Fantastic views. Great workable kitchen with all necessities. Good sized bathrooms (a little more eye for detail for the cleaning required). Had dinner in the lodge, but cannot recommend. The service staff requires training. Tables sticky, benches dirty. Basic politeness and cheeriness missing. Shame.

The living area was perfect with small children (3, 18 months and 8months). Plenty room for them to play and meant that we could see them at all times. We hired 1 cot but brought another travel cot with us. We also brought raised seats for the 2 older children but got a high chair for the wee one.
Bedrooms were small but beds were comfortable and handy having a bathroom with each one. The upstairs bedroom worked well for us - room for Granny and Grandpa!
Garden was fenced and safe.
Views from the lighthouse are outstanding and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Loads to do in and around Hunstanton.
One or two minor maintenance jobs required but when we spoke to the company, these were logged and will be fixed.

Would we stay again - definitely YES!

From the booking staff to the location and accommodation we couldn't have wished for anything more . We enjoyed beach walks and walks to the friendly town . One highlight was the views from the top of the lighthouse. Another was sitting on the balcony, glass of wine in hand watching the amazing sunset . We enjoyed our stay so much we booked again before we left .

Well equiped modern accommodation with amazing sea views in 3 directions. Stayed there numerous times and every stay has being fantastic.
Upside down house so stairs may not suit everyone but we love it.Gate on top of stairs can be closed to prevent toddlers reaching the stairs.Bedrooms are quite small but do have ensuite and the beds are comfortable.
Loads of parking behind gates.Easy access.
2 of our stays were when covid restrictions (lockdown) just ended and both times we have had no issues as the premises were very clean and relatively isolated (large walled/fenced garden) so if you want to keep yourselves well isolated you can.
Right on the cliff overlooking the beach so it's very easy to walk down onto the beach via costal path.
100% recommended.

We had a magical time in the Lighthouse this Christmas, warm and cosy with wonderful views of the coastline, and fantastic sunsets. A lovely Christmas tree already decorated with lights and a hamper with lots of special treats, even one for the dog, greeted us on arrival, memories that we will never forget. It is all the little touches around the Lighthouse and the exceptional customer service that made this unforgettable thank you so much.

We enjoyed a week at the Lighthouse and enjoyed every minute of it, so did the dogs. The views are fantastic and we spent may hours sat just watching the tide come in and out. The lighthouse had with everything we needed for the week and was only 5 mins walk from the beach.

We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful break in the Old Lighthouse. Due to Covid restrictions our original booking of 8 had to be cut to 6 people. We did this by splitting the week, and hiring alternate accommodation at Searles. Our original booking had been for May, but with wonderful customer service, we moved to September. With the rule of 6 for Covid, customer service did offer us the option to move our booking again, but we needed the break!!
The Old Lighthouse is a brilliant place to stay with everything needed for a luxurious stay. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and everything you need in a wonderful iconic location.
We have already booked to come back next year!
I can't recommend The Old Lighthouse highly enough.

We have holidayed as a family in Hunstanton on numerous previous occasions staying in various Hotels in the area. Each time we stayed, when we walked past the Lighthouse we would say that we’d love to holiday there and this year we managed to book the only week that we could all get together.
We all loved everything about the Lighthouse and our expectations were more than met. The accommodation is excellent and the views fantastic.
We will definitely stay there again - hopefully in 2022.

Wonderful location and spectacular views, lovely evenings spent watching the sun set with a glass of wine.
The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge comfortable with enough seating for the whole family to sit and relax.
The only improvements I could suggest would be to have a gate on the balcony stairs top and bottom, we had a toddler with us who’s ambition was to clime up and down them. Also to have the hot tub included in the price would have been nice rather than having to arrange this ourselves.

Staying at The Old Lighthouse was an absolute privilege and we felt so fortunate to be there, especially after months of lockdown. The original plan of a full family gathering was not possible (thanks to Covid-19 issues) but those of us who went had a great time. Just to be there enjoying views of the sea, skies, sunsets was good for the soul. The place is well furnished with everything you might need provided and help on hand if needed. This is our second stay with Norfolk Coast Holiday Cottages and we are very happy with the standard of provision and communication. A couple of small quibbles - bedside light problems (as with Mulberry Cottage last year); delay returning deposit and also think deposit should be requested with final payment and not with original booking. But overall this is a wonderful holiday home and I like to think we might go again sometime.

We have stayed several times before and love this property and to get back first week after lockdown was fantastic.
Everyone was very welcoming.
It's comfortable and has amazing 270 degree uninterrupted views of the sea, beach and coast line. You can easily sit in the lounge or kitchen and see the tides rolling in and out.We occupy it as 6 adults.You do need to climb stairs to get to the lounge/kitchen/balcony area
It's been extensively modernized and is warm light and comfortable, the bedrooms are big enough with modern ensuite.
Despite being on a costal path It's safe with a perimeter wall, gates and extensive parking. The garden is reasonably big. Hunstanton beach is a 5 minute walk.the property has always been pretty quiet for all our stays.
For a quirky bit of fun go to the tower roof! The owners are very friendly and helpful and have gone to a lot of trouble to well equip this property. With it's sea views I thoroughly recommend staying.

This was our second Winter holiday in The Lighthouse, and we were slightly apprehensive in returning, imagining that it wouldn't hold the magic of our first visit. how wrong we were! So much so that we have booked again for next January. The OldLighthouse is quite unique with the most amazing views out to sea. Our two dogs came with us and they loved it, wonderful walks along the shore, getting windswept and lungs full of fresh air - heaven! We would recommend this property to anyone who likes quality, is looking for somewhere spotlessly clean, and wants to enjoy complete privacy and total peace and quiet. Finally, I must comment on the staff involved in looking after The Old Lighthouse, Jackie and her team are the ultimate in efficiency and cleanliness. Brittany and Josh and a lovely lady, whose name I can’t remember, who dealt with our booking so effectively. We also had the pleasure of meeting Derek, the owner, who asked us if we thought anything could be improved. The answer to that is NO - you can’t improve perfection! Thanks to everyone for making our well deserved holiday/rest so memorable.

A superb location with fantastic views of the ever changing seascape. The accommodation has everything you need, a real home from home. We made use of the well equipped kitchen as well as visiting several local pubs. They provide dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid as well as coffee pods for the nespresso machine. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with lovely toiletries provided. They also supply a hairdryer for each room which is a bonus. The beds are so comfortable, with feather pillows and duvets. It felt like sleeping in a cloud and made a lie-in a necessity! The laundry room has everything you need including washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and washing powder/tablets.
There is access to the tower for those who feel like a climb. We didn’t go out through the hatch at the top as it was quite windy but we were still able to get a good view from the windows.
This is a unique place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

Excellent venue for a holiday in Norfolk. Lovely views from the living accommodation and beautiful sunsets. The weather was glorious and it was great having the balcony to sit outside and sunbathe. There was interesting conversations from passers-by and we also had someone knocking on the door asking to come and have a look around.
Having all the bedrooms en suite was a plus but in the bedrooms there wasn't much storage space for small items.
Would certainly recommend the lighthouse as a holiday venue

This is a wonderful character and comfortable house and well located if a little exposed to the elements. The owners have done a great job and spent serious money refurbishing an old iconic building. It is on the coastal path and therefore regularly passed all day long. Perhaps more planting in the centre path wall would add to the privacy. This did not deter from our enjoyment and in fact added to it with entertaining people watching. Outside areas very good. Suggest a larger outside table with seating for 8 and outside cushions. The addition of some more outside comfort seating would be useful such as steamer chairs. Super kitchen and equipment for a rental. Great BBQ. Beds very comfortable and excellent bathrooms. Stayed in many rentals and overall this is top end. Rental Staff at the Lodge could be more welcoming and helpful especially as the physical quality and marketing material are so good they drive a high level of expectation. just needs more love and a positive can do service attitude. Very fixable with training. We enjoyed our stay thank you.

We stayed for one week with our adult children and their girlfriends. The location was possibly the best in north Norfolk and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets in the evening. Our border collie was so happy with the reasonable sized garden and the beach 4 minutes walk away. We would definitely stay again.

Our family had a wonderful week at 'The Lighthouse'. The facilities were top class including the four en suite bedrooms. A lot of care and attention has gone into its conversion and everything has been completed to the highest standard. The children loved climbing up the tower to see the magnificent views of Hunstanton and the 180 degree views from the living area, viewed through telescope or binoculars afforded a constantly changing picture (Boston 'Stump' was as clear as clear could be over the Wash in Lincolnshire). The beach was within easy reach and the lawn provided plenty of room for the children to run around and play. Everything we could have wanted for great break by the sea! We hope to return again one day.

It's in a beautiful position with extensive coastal views(it is a converted lighthouse). This is our third visit we love it.
Modern conversion ,well equipped with all you could reasonably need - no shortage of essential supplies and utensils however small.
Good BBQ!
If you do have any questions the agents are readily available.

The beautiful lounge is upstairs so you do need enough mobility to get up one set of stairs - but it's worth it.
The lounge glass balcony is very sheltered and pleasant to sit out on.
Several pubs and post office shop a few hundred yards away in Old Hunstanton.
Very easy reasonably secure parking for lots of cars, gates on drive, walled garden.
Lot's of grassed open areas around the property, access to the coastal path is incredibly close as it runs round the walled/hedged edge of the property garden.

Good and very efficient administration.

We have lived in Hunstanton for 18 years so we have walked passed the lighthouse many times often wondering what it would be like to live there with the amazing views and sunsets.
I booked our stay as a surprise, to celebrate my husbands 60th and sons 30th Birthdays!
It was amazing, the property is beautiful inside and we were not disappointed with those views and possibly the best sunsets we have ever seen! What a fabulous location for our party with family and friends. It was just amazing for each of us to have the opportunity to go to the top of the lighthouse tower and to enjoy the location. Some of our friends have lived in Hunstanton all their lives, which made the occasion even more specialike for all of us.

We booked The Old Lighthouse as our 25th Anniversary getaway.
We entertained family and friends over the weekend and then as the last guests left on the Tuesday we had the pleasure of the place to ourselves.
A wonderful place, perched on top of the cliff with stunning views along the dunes at Old Hunstanton from the kitchen breakfast bar, a position that became a keen favourite with all.
We lacked for nothing as the property is finished to a high level in all aspects from the kitchen utensils to the outdoor furniture, the binoculars and telescope were a nice touch too, great for watching the shoreline birds.
It was a wrench to leave on the Friday morning and we are already looking to come back next year for more ‘space to unwind’.

It’s a great place to unwind, explore the Norfolk coast with our two dogs (who particularly loved the garden) and sip a G&T in the evening and watch the sun set over the sea.

The pictures on the website really don't do this property justice. It's totally stunning. We were very lucky to have unseasonably sunny weather for February and the blue sky views were amazing.
The lighthouse is warm and cosy and perfectly equipped. Bedding, towels, crockery etc of a very high standard. The little touches like the wine & cake on arrival, the games & puzzles in the cupboard & the toiletries in all of the bathrooms made it even more special.
We hope to visit again soon.

The lighthouse is a unique place to stay, especially for me as I LOVE them. The layout is good and even though it was cold outside during out stay, the lighthouse was always warm and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped though if I was being particularly fussy, the only item we missed was a measuring jug as we cooked often. The bedrooms are well laid out and quiet. We used the twin and super king sized bed rooms on the ground floor, both of which had very nice ensuite bathrooms. Towels and toiletries are provided, both of a high quality.

The staff at The Lodge, where we also had dinner one evening, were very helpful and friendly, and we wanted for nothing.

There are RSPB reserves, fantastic beaches and the Norfolk Coastal Path on the doorstep, and everything is so convenient to travel to, including Kings Lynn and Norwich.

My adult daughter and myself go to North Norfolk every January for two weeks and each year strive to stay somewhere
“different” but not anymore! Having just returned home we have agreed that The Old Lighthouse at Hunstanton
could never be beaten and we have rebooked for next year! Hunstanton is still buzzy in the Winter, as are many
of the towns and villages. BUT who needs any of it, with the breathtaking, stunning views and ever changing
Seascape. The interior is beyond the imagination for comfort at the Lighthouse and just a stones throw away,
the cozy, Lodge Inn where delicious food and excellent staff make an evening at this establishment both memorablea
and very happy.
I could go on forever about our favourite holiday ever, but the only real way to appreciate this gem is to book a
holiday and find out for yourself - I bet you’ll love it too.

We had a very relaxing week intending to visit lots of places but mostly just enjoyed the comfort of the panoramic lounge with sea views.

This venue is very well presented and we shall return in the future.

The bedrooms are very comfortable with excellent en-suites to all.

The view from the tower is excellent and well worth the 80 steps up and down.

All in all we can thoroughly recommend this venue.

We spent childhoods at Hunstanton, walking past the lighthouse- so to get to stop there was a fulfilling moment for my family and me! The place was stunning, the pictures don’t do it justice!
Coastal path got us some onlookers but that can’t be helped! Worth it completely! Maybe the company could think about a come back offer when u have holidayed and could claim within a couple of months of stopping in any of their properties!!

Despite the poor weather (gale force winds, rain, sleet, lightening and sun) our family had another fantastic week. Great views and very well appointed. Our second visit and we will be returning again .Our only complaint was that we asked for NO feather cushions/pillows as our son is asthmatic, but upon arrival we had to move everything into the utility area as the cushions were feather. We took our family of 8 consisting of 3 children and 5 adults to stay for a week in The Lighthouse to celebrate my 70th birthday. The accommodation was just right for our needs. It comfortably sleeps 8 people and so much room we didn't feel in each others way at any time. Plenty of crockery and cutlery you were never short of any items even when the dishwasher was loaded.
The children loved roaming about going down the cellar and up to the top of the tower (with an adult at all times)
My favourite spot was sitting on the balcony in the evening with the sun setting over the sea, beautiful.
The weather also helped a beautiful hot sunny week until our last day when thunder and lightening struck.
We all agreed that this was one of the best holidays that we have had and celebrations certainly went with a flash and a bang at the end.

A fabulous venue with amazing views of The Wash and Old Hunstanton beach. Very well equipped and superb accommodation. Certainly has the Wow factor when you climb the stairs to the first floor living area. Our guests were delighted to share this iconic lighthouse with us and all climbed the steps to see the view from the top of the tower. Stunning.
The service from Norfolk Coastal Cottages was exemplary and we have booked another cottage with them for next year already!
We were very lucky with the weather so were able to enjoy the balcony and the garden but if it had not been the fabulous HD TV would have kept us amused for a while!
We would highly recommend The Old Lighthouse for a stay to any of our friends.

This was one of the very best holiday lets we have used. The views looking out over the Wash from the lounge, balcony and tower were superb with some memorable sunsets during the spell of fine weather, over the first few days of our holiday. The property provides accommodation to an excellent standard and is very comfortable. Without doubt the Old Lighthouse is a great venue for a family holiday and for exploring the North Norfolk coast.

Amazing sea and beach views, modern conversion, good easy parking. Some stairs eg to upstairs lounge. Good ensuite bathrooms, Lots provided eg dishwasher tablets, bags, bottle of wine and cake, tuperware, washing stuff - pretty much everything! Very helpful and friendly management staff. Recommended.
Close to pubs and small shop with places like Sainsburys a few minutes drive in Hunstanton.
This is our second stay here and we will be back.

We had stayed under the previous owner, and whilst the venue was unique the accommodation was very sad.
There is now only one word "perfect"

We had a fantastic week in the lighthouse celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with family and friends. The whole place was cosy even though at times it was cold outside. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and having cooked a roast for 6 there was nothing I was short of.
The views were stunning and ever changing and we often just sat mesmerised by the sea.
On our final full day the sun shine and the sky was blue and we got to sit on the balcony and the views from the tower were brilliant.
Having always gone to Hunstanton we never imagined we would be able to stay in the lighthouse and it has left us all with many fabulous memories.

The Old Lighthouse exceeded our expectations as a venue for the family to get together to celebrate three birthdays and have a break away from home. The OL was very comfortable and warm despite the very cold weather and the surrounding area has many great walks and sights to enjoy. We took our dog and he enjoyed the beaches and wood walks. All the pubs and restaurants we chose were dog friendly and all provided great food and comfort. For us a 5 star break and will use again in the future.

The lighthouse is a beautiful property in a prime location. The owners provided lots of extra touches to make us feel welcome, a gorgeous Christmas tree, decorations, wine and cake; they even left some poo bags and chews for the dog. Even though the weather was freezing we were always warm inside. The views are amazing and it helped that there is a well positioned telescope. We got food delivered and ate out at the Lodge which was lovely.

I booked this house as a venue for a family pre-Christmas catch up. There were 8 of us ages ranging from 16 - 66 and it was perfect. We had some cold weather but the house was always warm. The huge beds were extremely comfortable and all bedrooms had en-suite bath/shower rooms. The entrance hallways were useful for storing coats and wellies and our two dogs slept in the utility room. A lovely unexpected touch was the Christmas tree and decorations lit up when we arrived.
We had a great time and made good use of the fabulous well equipped kitchen even spotting seals on a sandbank using the telescope and binoculars.

Our family visited the lighthouse in November for a family birthday weekend and were not disappointed at all! Having walked past it a year earlier and wondered what it was like we were so glad we booked it for our annual getaway. The location is amazing and the views are second to none! Lots of “wow” moments especially at sunset, beautiful. The house was warm and cosy (despite being someone who is always cold!) the beds were extremely comfy and very well decorated. Can’t recommend enough, we will be going back!

We stayed in the Old Lighthouse, Hunstanton, in September 2017 during the first storm of the year, storm Aileen. Never before have we actually enjoyed rain and gale force winds whilst away on holiday ! The rain lashed the windows and the winds threw the garden furniture around the patio area. We felt safe and secure and were disappointed that we didn't actually experience any thunder and lightenening ! The accommodation is superb, beautifully appointed with every possible luxury provided. The beds are so comfortable we slept like logs throughout our stay. The views across the Wash were spectacular , especially from the top of the tower. Hunstanton is a lovely little place to visit, a trip to the Cherry Tree Chocolate shop is recommended , as is the Norfolk deli. We ate at the Lodge Inn which does an excellent Sunday roast. Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary was surprisingly enjoyable, but make sure you book your tickets on line first, as they are much cheaper ! Whilst the weather could have been better we really enjoyed our visit to the optimistically named " Sunny Hunny" . Our stay in The Lighthouse was an experience the whole family will never forget.

This is a very attractive, spacious and comfortable place to stay in a wonderful location with fabulous everchanging views of the sea. It also had the added interest of the lighthouse tower to climb.

The house lacked for nothing and in fact had everything we could have asked for and we would certainly be more than happy to return. The only minor problems were the almost invisible step in the hall which several of us fell up and down, the squeaky bathroom door that caught on the floor and would not close, the loose door handle on the laundry room and the tumble dryer that had a mind of its own. However none of these detracted from a brilliant place to stay for a week.

we stayed from Monday to Friday and the weather was as good as it could be.The all round views were a bonus as was access to the lighthouse itself.The spaciousness of the kitchen and lounge was much appreciated. The only hiccup was the return of our damage deposit. Conditional on returning the full damage deposit to my current account, was a request from your end for an authorisation code from my bank . My bank informed me that no such code .exists.So the deposit was transferred to my credit card account, and this caused me a lengthy conversation with my bank to have the £200 transferred to my current account it might be worth checking on the contracted out company who handles the transfers..

I am sorry that you had some troubles with your damage waiver being refunded. The PDQ machine asked for a referral which occasionally happens and is requested by your card issuer, this was also beacuase the refund was going onto a different card to the one used for payment. We then have to obtain an authorisation code through a voice authorisation call. Unfortunately this was bypassed thus your refund not being able to be refunded to your card. I am pleased we managed to get it refunded to the original card. I hope we will be welcoming you back to one of our cottages again soon. Brittany

An enjoyable stay with my family which included two very young grandchildren. I do not think the old lighthouse is suitable for very young children. The excellent balcony has no gate leading to the metal stair case just a metal chain. We had to block entrance to the metal stairs with the garden furniture. The public footpath at the end of the garden gives no privacy with hundreds of people going by.NO CHILD SAFETY LOCKS ON WINDOWS. Apart these comments it is a great place to stay . The house keeper does an excellent job keeping the place clean and at my request made an extra visit to obtain a stair gate foe the children. The staff at the Lodge were polite and helpful

The Light House met all our expectations. Wonderful picture windows which were clean so the views were brilliant. The balcony was lovely, managed to sit outside several times during our stay watching the sun set over the sea. The bedrooms were all beautifully decorated and spacious.

The little touches gave a lovely welcome, bottle of wine, and cake, plus ice cubes, and lots of other little extra bits which we didn't expect. The whole package was excellent, thank you.

The distance to the beach and the town was excellent. As we took our 2 German Shepherd dogs with us we did lots of walking, and eating out.

Six adults and one dog stayed in March for my Dad's 60th birthday.

The property is vey imposing on the outside. It is beautifully set on the cliff edge with a large garden. There is also a large drive which we easily fit our three large vehicles on. The gates can by shut to secure the property.

The lighthouse tower was fun to explore although hasn't been refurbished.

The house itself is beautiful and finished to a very high standard.

Each bedroom has an ensuite and proper hair dryer provided. The beds were really comfortable.

Upstairs the kitchen again is finished to a high standard and had high end Joseph Joseph equipment. The views from the kitchen are stunning.

There is a spacious open plan dining room/living room. This had a large table and sofas along with a cosy fire and huge tv with sky. There is also a big balcony but this was awaiting completion when we were there (we were informed before hand) and it was a bit chilly to sit out anywhere.

The location was really good for exploring and the local pub was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay so much we've booked to go again next year!

Quite simply, a beautiful Old Lighthouse in a stunning location. Everything about the experience of having stayed in the 'Old Lighthouse' leaves me wishing it was my own property.

I booked the Old Lighthouse within a month of the property having changed ownership. It was in desperate need of some serious TLC, I just knew that the new management would not disappoint. 10 Months of waiting and it was all worth it. From the moment that we arrived at The Lodge to pick up the keys to the moment we left, this has been one of the most memorable experiences of our lives.

From having some friends over for my Birthday party to having a couple of days to myself, this Lighthouse leaves you wishing it was your own. The quality of refurbishment to the level of service, it is all what you come to expect from such a well organised business. Even the BBQ was brought in a few months early for our party!!! Prior to our stay at the Old Lighthouse, we have also been lucky enough to stay a few times in the Coal Bunker and The Lodge Cottage - all offer quite different experiences, but none quite like the Lighthouse.

The moment you enter the driveway, open the door, and discover all of it's rooms, you will be left speechless (at-least, I was.)

Words and pictures do it no justice. If you want a totally luxurious holiday in a unique lighthouse on the North Norfolk coast, look no further...

Simply Brilliant!

We stayed for a week in late January, although the weather was cold, the Lighthouse was warm ,cosy, homely and very comfortable, brilliantly comfortable bed and the living area was similar, add on the wonderful views over the beach, the sunrise and sunsets both visible from the living area ( but not at the same time. Doh ). Sitting at the breakfast bar watching the Oyster catchers on the beach through the bins and scope provided, was just the thing to start the day. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped, and the general very up market design and delivery were superb. There is comfortable parking on site for 4 cars. The walk up the Lighthouse steps and the view are worth trying, and the Lighthouse when automatically lit up at night is awesome, particularly on the dark nights you get at this time of year, and one nights the stars came out to play as an extra service. The Lodge who manage the site were excellent in dealing with any problem, and a visit to thLodge for a meal and a drink is well worthwhile, but although it is in walking distance, we decided a drive on a cold dark night was worth one of our group desisting from a drink. The Lighthouse happily copes with the 8 possible occupants, and once the Balcony and steps are finished, it will be an ideal family holiday place, the very large TV and the ?light/fire bring a centre to the living space, as well as the large 8 seater dining table. So worth the money, definitely yes, a place to unwind defintely yes, a place to return to, definitely yes.

Was so excited about our stay in a building I had been in awe of for over 40 years. It totally exceeded our expectations. Recent renovations are exceptional and completed to a very high standard. Felt so comfortable we really didn't want to leave and already booked it for this Christmas. Wish it was mine!

Fantastic place to stay, we always have a week in October with Norfolk Coast Holidays and have stayed at four of their cottages. They are all lovely and having the Lodge Hotel near by is the cherry on the top. Our stay was perfect , the lighthouse was ideal and we had a few family members venture to the top to look at the view.
Have booked for next year, looking forward to it as its all being re-furnished and redesigned and knowing how the other properties are can't wait to see the end result !!

We had a really enjoyable family holiday at The Lighthouse. The garden was spacious and this suited the four young children as they could play in the garden safely.

The children also enjoyed the spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse.

Old Hunstanton cliff walks and beaches were also good and the sunsets were a bonus.

All aspects of the holiday met or exceeded our expectations.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Lighthouse in June. Very close to the beach, beautiful views and close to the centre too - what more could you ask for? Looking forward to visiting once the renovations have been carried out.

An excellent location with wonderful views of the sea from the main bedroom and lounge. The children loved being in such an unusual place. The window in the kitchen leaked badly in the awful weather we had. 35 mph winds every day but as my 7 year old grandchild said "You can't blame the place for that". We would all go again. An en suite in the main bedroom would have been welcome. Rooms were much bigger than we expected and the cake and wine were a lovely surprise.

Who doesn't dream of living in a Lighthouse? This holiday cottage is an incredible find!
The kitchen is a bit small, yet there is a seperate living room upstairs that hosts all visitors comfortably.
Fantastic views from all the sea facing rooms. Walking distance to the beach, which lends itself to long walks or lazy afternoons in the dunes. The owners are very friendly and accomodated all our requests!
Go and book your next holiday.

The rooms are large, comfortably furnished and equipped with many nice touches. Even a zester in the kitchen. Despite the gale on our arrival, the lighthouse was warm and cosy. Garden secure for large dogs. Impossible to read a book with the ever changing views over the coast and sea totally distracting.
