I have stayed in these beautiful lodges before the scenery is outstanding. This time though I never slept the bed was metal & made horrendous noises everytime you moved. This wouldn't put me off booking again I would still go back but maybe ask for a different bed in the master.

I am a member of a group of scuba divers and partners that have been visiting the area for many years now. We always stay at Appin Holiday Homes because of the quality of the accommodation and the friendliness of Jim and Julie, oh and the view is not bad either.

Beech Lodge was freshly painted and very clean. Kitchen has everything you need for your stay also a small welcome pack of tea and coffee and hot chocolate. Veiws where stunning across the water. The lodge was warm enough with electric heating. Yes we will return.

What a beautiful lodge! The location is stunning and well placed for travelling south to Oban or north to Fort William. We arrived shortly after 4pm to Beech Tree Lodge and the lodge was spotless. The only thing was we weren’t sure how to get the keys - I thought maybe we had to go to reception or there’d be a lock box but this wasn’t the case. I may have missed this information in an email but I’d just say maybe have an email sent to clarify check in instructions. Similarly with check out, there were two different things (one in book, one on keys) and we went with the latter.

The lodge was really spacious and we were more than happy with the facilities. There was enough crockery and cutlery for the two of us. We had to bring our own towels which was fine, we knew about this. There are some laundry facilities up near the old station platform but we didn’t make use of these.

There are some areas in the lodge (bathroom) that are a little tired, but it’s purely cosmetic and didn’t bother us. We were happy for a lovely warm shower in the mornings.

We found the beds generally comfortable although the frames were very squeaky. This might be fine for people of the smaller figure, but nevertheless, we never had a bad night’s sleep.

The lodge is well decorated and it felt nice and modern. We also felt the price for the week was very reasonable and we would pay that again.

All in all, a brilliant week away and we were sad to leave this morning. We would absolutely come back and we would recommend this lodge to our family and friends. Thank you

Lovely, cosy and warm. Had been decorated for us. Ideal location to visit our family in APPIN. Lovely view of the loch and mountains
Staff were very helpful, as we needed to stay an extra night. This was our third time we have stayed at APPIN Holiday Homes. And would highly recommend it. Looking forward to our next stay in August

Beech Tree lodge is a fantastic holiday home in a beautiful location with stunning views and all home comforts. It would have been good to have a non-slip mat for the bath, but really everything else was top notch.

My wife and I are part of a group who stay at Appin Holiday Homes at least once a year and have done for some years now.
The lodge we stayed in this time had just been refurbished with a new bathroom fitted. It was spotlessly clean as always and there was everything you could need and it all worked.
The view across the loch is spectacular. The location of the site is perfect if you want to go hiking or just walk the dog also Oban and Fort William are within easy reach by car.

Fantastic views of the Loch both from inside (whilst just sitting on the sofa or cooking the dinner) and from the porch. Exceptionally clean and cosy lodge with all you need for a family stay. Plenty of room for us all and great location for exploring the Highlands by foot, car or cycling (many cycling paths around, including family friendly ones) . Safe and enough space for leaving our 4 bikes outside in the porch. Very handy outside lockable storage cupboard (on the porch) for potentionaly storing 2 bikes, pushchair or wheelchair or anything else really that needs to be out of the elements. The life size chess board game outside was a wonderful thing and very much enjoyed in the sunny moments when relaxing after a day long activity. Also plenty of parking right by the lodge. We had an absolutely brilliant time here and look forward to visiting again. Many thanks Julie and Jim!

Was really happy we picked Appin Holiday Homes. Cabins were spacious and comfortable and really good value for money. Great base to explore some of the most beautiful scenery around. In fact everything was perfect apart from the weather but that was always a risk in April. The kids really enjoyed their break and we will be back. Met Jim briefly, really nice guy! Would really recommend checking this place out.

Fantastic weekend as always. We have stay at Appin Holiday Homes many times over the years, it has never disappointed in any way.
This years nice surprise was the Wee chip which provided us with lovely food.

This is our 4 th year at these lodges and never been disappointed yet, Julie and Jim are always on hand to fix anything that goes wrong, and is a beautiful site and so peaceful, lots to do within distance of site and walks galore, also Lismore is only 10 minutes by ferry.

A lovely position overlooking the loch. Great places to eat, the pub, The Holly Tree and Loch Leven Sea Food. Nicely placed for Oban, Glen Coe and the road to the Isles. We had a fantastic week of weather (thank you Julie for ordering that) and managed to get up Ben Nevis also a boat trip from Oban to see the Puffins. The lodge was a great place to relax and enjoy the view with a wee drink. Our thanks to Jim and Julie for another great week in Scotland.

Loved our stay in Beech lodge, we only stayed 2 nights and regret not booking for longer. The setting is absolutely idyllic and the hosts, Jim and Julie, are only as visible as you need them to be. We only had 2 interactions, both with Julie, and she was extremely pleasant and helpful. Other than that, they left us alone to enjoy our stay and we knew they were close by if needed.

We also have to mention the beautiful card and flowers they left for us for our anniversary, a lovely surprise! Thanks so much, it was a really nice touch.

The lodge itself was lovely, warm and clean. Plenty of utensils, nice decor, more than enough living space for 4 people and the beds were comfortable, and rooms surprisingly spacious.

We would definitely recommend it to anyone, and hope to return ourselves sometime soon.

My husband is in poor health and was confined to the lodge for a lot of the time. He found it comfortable and warm.
This left my son and I to walk knowing he was okay.
There are a lots of walks just around the area we loved it. A week was too short but better than nothing.
The journey time from door to door was ten hours with two people sharing the driving.
From one end of England to Appin that is excellent. The roads are excellent all the way.

Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The lodges contain everything needed for a self catering break. The location is well placed for exploring the West Coast of Scotland. Fantastic scenery (shame about the weather this time but despite the rain still managed to do all we had planned). Wildlife in abundance (deer, owls, otters, seals - didn't mange to see a Pine Martin this time but have done in the past). Jim and Julie always work hard to ensure our stay is perfect - thank you.

Creagan Inn is a short walk away where good wine, food and customer service is guaranteed.

The overall appearance of the lodge was clean and tidy however, please relay to them that the microwave was rusty inside and we would not use this for health reasons. The kitchen taps were loose and no cover on the freezer compartment, the blinds were dirty when shutting them as they are not being washed. The bathroom taps especially the cold tap had ground in dirt when I used a toothbrush to eat it was easily removed so bit of elbow grease is required. I would recommend this property to others but pre warn them to check the microwave as this really concerned me.

The lodge had a perfect view and the owners were very helpful. The lodge was clean and tidy. There was no wifi in the lodge itself, but the game-room was nearby, so our boys have spent a lot of time there :-). We recommend anyone staying in the Appin Holiday Homes to book a visit to Castle Stalker (5 min drive) via their webiste. Unique experience.

Just returned from a 2 week break at Appin Holiday Homes. The lodge was clean and comfortable and offers a perfect base for exploring the West Coast of Scotland. Lovely days out in Oban, Fort William, Mallaig, Glen Coe, Glasgow, Mull and even further afield upto Aviemore. It's great to see the cycle tracks being used so well. Had a number of great walks around Glen Creran and along the canal at Neptune's Staircase. Fantastic opportunities for wildlife spotting. Unwind at the end of the day with a pint at Creagan Inn. Jim and Julie remain, as ever, fantastic hosts. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay here so much going back again this year, only to one of the bigger lodges, with a bigger balcony, the area is so peaceful but yet great for touring to nearby places like Oban etc, also great for going across to Lismore, we went later on in the year and no midges whatsoever, but there were wasps, hopefully there wont be any of the two this year. Great hotel near by too, food excellent as was the service.

The lodges are emmaculate with spectacular views of the Lock.
The local pub is a ten minute walk away and Oban only a short drive away.

We have been staying at Appin Holiday homes for many years. The last while we have being going at New Year and it was the first time we had been back up in the summer. The chalets are great, terrific views and ideal for Oban or Fort William. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the views and wildlife! Can't wait till out next visit.

We were very satisfied with our log cabin, especially the stunning location overlooking the beautiful loch framed with mountains.
The log cabin was lovely and very comfortable and we had a lovely week's stay.

The only recommendation we can possibly make would have been to have a small shop in reception selling basics such as milk and bread, as the distance to the local shops was a fair drive but other than that our stay was fantastic.

Appin Holiday Homes is a family run site. Jim and Julie (the owners) go out of their way to make everyone welcome. The accommodation is ideally located between Oban and Fort William and contains everything needed for an excellent self catering holiday. The accommodation is cleaned to the highest standards and is warm and comfortable. There is plenty to do in the area and The Creagan Inn (under new ownership) is just a short stroll away and offers good food at reasonable prices - the wine's ok too! Looking forward to our next stay.

We were delighted to find a decorated Christmas tree in our lodge ; Christmas crackers and two bottles of wine . The lodge was beautifully warm and cosy and the views magnificent . During our stay we saw ample wildlife including a family of otters playing in the loch and many deer roaming the glens . The lodge contained all home comforts and we had the most relaxing time ; I can't think of anywhere else I would like to have spent Christmas - I could happily have stayed until April !

Stayed for a two relaxing weeks in September. The accommodation is excellent and is to be recommended. The lodge is warm and comfortable and contains everything needed for a short break or longer stay. The site is well maintained and offers fantastic views over Loch Creran. Oban and Fort William are just a short drive away. The local pub 'The Cregan Inn' is less than a 5 minute walk and provides excellent food and drink. The area has lots to offer for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a little more adventure.

Appin Holiday homes has many happy memories for me and my family. The cabins are first class and Appin is a wonderful area to explore. I first holidayed at Weir's cabins when my daughter was young. Now she has returned as a grown up with her children and started the connection again.
The children loved the experience and we all hope to return again soon.

We have been going to Appin Holiday homes for more years than we care to think about. We love it!
As soon as you get there you relax and the view from the chalets are stunning - regardless of the weather!
Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jim and Julie do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. You are easy driving distance to Fort William or to Oban,
or you can just do the walks round about.

We will be returning for many more years!

Fantastic accommodation and service as always from Appin Holiday Homes.
Well worth the money for the scenery alone I would definitely recommend it as a base for anyone visiting the west coast.

We have stayed at Appin Holiday Homes for many years. Jim and Julie are fantastic hosts.

This Summer we stayed in Beech Tree Lodge. It was as usual warm and welcoming. The chalet benefits from a new kitchen, windows and really comfy beds. We were also fortunate to pick up wifi from the neighbouring reception building. My husband particularly liked Freesat and the new TV.

The accommodation was immaculately clean for our arrival and nothing is ever too much trouble.

We have had a number of memorable days out including trips on Calmac over to Mull, rail trips to Mallaig and Glasgow (which offers the best shopping ever) and great meals out.

This is a vibrant, welcoming community. If you visit take time to get to know them. You will not be disappointed.
