We have been visiting the area for ten years, staying in a number of self-catering accommodation, this is by far the best we have used, warn comfortable and a wonderful view, local pub five minutes walk serving great food. Lovely place to stay , I am sure we will be back again.
Appin holiday homes is perfectly located in a beautiful part of the Scottish highlands . Very sad to leave
Outstanding welcome by Julie made the perfect start to our holiday and the lodge was clean and comfortable if showing its age a bit.... But then, so am I !! Be aware its a longish way to a shop for even basics. 0
We stayed in caravan H for 7 nights and it was perfect! Caravan is lock facing, the view incredible. We watched sea otters in the Loch which was amazing, lots of seabirds too. Caravan has everything you need and is warm & cosy. We were sent lots of information before we arrived on walks, places of interest & ideas on where to eat which was great. When we arrived Jim came to check if we were okay and said to let them know if any issues. There were none, it was perfect & we would definitely recommend.
Absolutely fabulous holiday. Caravan spotlessly clean and everything you need included. The view is outstanding and we really enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. Jim and Julie are fantastic hosts on hand for any queries. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
Quiet location, good views from lodge. Handy for points north and south. Second stay here would consider going back again
We loved our stay in Birch Tree Lodge. It was warm and cosy and had almost everything we needed. The views over the Loch are beautiful and the place is very peaceful. We climbed Beinn Sgulaird and visited Lismore - both within very easy reach. Also enjoyed cycle rides in the area, the Appin Loop is lovely. The Creagan Inn is great for a meal and we went to the Pacer Cafe a couple of times and would highly recommend. The only things I would change would be a bedside lamp in the twin room, we couldn't find a plug socket to move a lamp into the room which wasn't great for my mum. Also a bath mat ...more
We spent two nights in Oak Tree Lodge which included everything we needed. Great to have your own parking space right outside the door!
After searching for weeks on end for a short stay holiday which wasnt over-priced we contacted Appin Holidays and they quoted us a very reasonable price for a 4night stay. The caravan was quite small but for 2 of us it was manageable and the most important thing for us was that it was exceptionally clean. You can see a bit of the loch when sitting on the decking and also when looking out the main window of the seating area. It is a lovely site with lots to do in the area.the sustrans national cycle route 78 runs right past and it is great for those who dont want to ride on the main roads.th...more
Spacious and comfortable caravan in an absolutely stunning location right by the Loch. Well located for visiting Oban, Fort William and the islands. We particularly enjoyed a wee trip to Lismore on the little ferry boat. We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend!
Had a lovely week as a family of four. Our first time in one of the caravans as we usually stay in the cabins. Jim and Julie were as usual the perfect hosts. Caravan was lovely, spacious, clean and well equipped. We loved being close to the loch and had a fab time.
Excellent location very good lodge everything you need for your holiday always clean and warm and good service
Another fantastic stay. Gorgeous location! Julie and Jim are always so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back next year.
Lovely location. Ideal position for us to visit family in APPIN.Plenty to see and do. Wonderful view of the Loch. Shame about the road.
Lovely place to stay, amazing scenery and good location for touring Lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin a little tired but all worked ok. Beautiful views, the road is busy and noisy during the day and did slightly detract from the relaxation. Good central location. Possibly a little more could be provided for the kids in the play area, the Wendy house was damaged and not safe for young ones, however the grounds were great to explore and the near(ish) beach was fantastic. Neighbours were all friendly and quiet. We did love it as the weather was fantastic, we may have struggled with games to amuse us if it had rained all day. A book library or jigsaw exchange would be ...more
Lovely peaceful site right on the Loch. Would definitely stay again, but hopefully with better weather.
