We keep coming back! Fabulous location and accommodation with everything you need to make the most of your break.
We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Appin. Just glorious hot weather and stunning scenery. My daughter and her friend (both 12yrs) lived in the water. We took a paddle board and kayak which was easy to get on and off the Loch. Plenty to do and visit in the local area. Highly recommend SeaSafari. The caravan was very clean our friends stayed in this caravan we stayed in L next door at the end. Both vans were comfortable. They were lacking slightly on the kitchen utensils front. This caravan didn’t have a tinopener or scissors. Both caravans needed more ovenware for serving fo...more
Just home from a week in a lodge. Can’t fault a thing, views from the lodge and decking we’re breathtaking. Great location for travelling around the local area, we used it as a base to visit Oban, Fort William, Glen Nevis, Fort Augustus and Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and Glencoe. Lodge was spotless and comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen and plenty of channels on the tv.
Lovely location. Beautiful & peaceful view across the Loch. Covid safe and staff very helpful. Would have liked a bigger bed & more comfortable seating for our money but had a fantastic stay with everything we needed otherwise.
Second lovely stay at Appin Holiday Homes in 10 months. We were so lucky with the weather. Caravan H was perfectly situated and immaculate. Jim and Julie run a fantastic holiday business in this beautiful part of Scotland. No complaints at all. The one issue ( gas ran out) was attended to immediately. Great site for children as large play area and right on lochside. Lots of interesting areas to visit close by. Cycle track on doorstep. Good restaurants in area and Cregan in a 5 min walk. Can't wait to return next month! Would thoroughly recommend.
Accommodation is well equipped with all you need for a self catering break. Beds were comfy and lodge was clean on arrival. Although the main road can be a little noisy at time, the views over the loch and mountains are fantastic. The loch is only a couple of minutes walk away and easily accessible for those who wish to go out on kayaks or paddle boards. The lodge is perfectly located for visiting Oban and Fort William as well as for visiting the Lords at Benderloch and the beautiful village of Port Appin.
Superb location. Perfect size for a family of four (inc 2 teenaged children). Spoke to Jim a couple of times. Always helpful Highly recommend and will definitely be back
Last minute find... probably wouldnt have found this hidden gem if everywhere else wasnt fully booked! Spotless grounds. Spotless caravan. View spectacular. We will be back :)
Just back from a wonderful week in Appin. Birch Tree Lodge was so homely, the views from the deck .. amazing ! The kids loved it and so did we. Everything we needed and more.
As ever the quality of service at Appin Holiday Homes - in particular cleanliness (so important at present) - is excellent. The caravan, though not the newest, is well maintained and comfortable with plenty of storage space (including a walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom!). The double bed is surprisingly comfortable for a caravan bed. The caravan field is a lovely location adjacent to the Loch though the view from the caravan of the water (even sideways) is almost non-existent. The one item needing change is the outdoor furniture on the decking area (I noticed most other caravans had ...more
The location and setting is absolutely stunning. We stayed in caravan L right on the shore front. The caravan is beautiful inside very spacious including a nice sized bathroom which you dont always get in statics. We had everything we needed. The caravan was clean and lovely. The only two issues I'd note. Single beds could do with new mattresses, old and soft. My 14 year old struggled. Living room carpet has some stains. However id definitely recommend staying here. Next time I hope to try a lodge if I can find a space. We hired bikes from appin bike hire and took little ferry to lis...more
Previously stayed in Rowan so thought we would try one of the higher up lodges - views lovely. Lodge great- very peaceful and we had a lovely relaxing stay with great weather - will be back
Fantastic week spent at Appin Holiday Homes lodge with the dogs. Smart wee lodge with everything we needed and incredible views. Super easy to book and pay. Arrived to find key in door and all ready, so perfect to get straight in. No WiFi, but excellent phone signal and as we have unlimited data package wasn’t an issue at all. Short walk to nearby dog-friendly Creaghan Inn for handy meal out. Loads of great walks nearby and even seals to spot in Loch Creran.
We enjoyed a 4 night stay and had a fantastic time. The kids liked the swings & chess and the view is spectacular. The lodge was spotless and the service received couldn't have been any better. We can't fault Appin Holiday Homes at all, my only note would be the gap in the hedge made me uncomfortable with small children as its so close to the road, otherwise 100% & would certainly return.
Key in door for arrival we were greeted with a trip on a loose slab before steps to the tired decking and rusted table and chairs . Opened door after a bit of juggling with the key . Lovely fresh decor/sofa and almost spotlessly clean . I fixed a loose door handle . Every utensil you would need ( maybe could do with buying a new clothes horse rather than gaffa taping it ) plus a tea towel / scour pad/ dish cloth wee sachets of coffee/milk which I thought was a nice/handy wee touch . Bathroom clean , great shower over bath a personnel touch with wee shower gel/shampoo . Toilet handle had to b...more
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin a little tired but all worked ok. Beautiful views, the road is busy and noisy during the day and did slightly detract from the relaxation. Good central location. Possibly a little more could be provided for the kids in the play area, the Wendy house was damaged and not safe for young ones, however the grounds were great to explore and the near(ish) beach was fantastic. Neighbours were all friendly and quiet. We did love it as the weather was fantastic, we may have struggled with games to amuse us if it had rained all day. A book library or jigsaw exchange would be ...more
We have just returned from Appin holiday park having had an incredible time. The weather was the hottest is has been for many many years. This obviously contributed but the caravans are situated in an idyllic spot with plenty to see and do around. We had three caravans and put our eldest boys in this caravan since it was the oldest and the price reflected this at only £470 for the week. It was just fine for them. However It could do with a wee bit of updating. The patio furniture was quite literally on its last legs and they had problems shutting and opening the door. Again it lacked in kitc...more
