Rowan is a 2 storey 2 bedroomed cottage. The kitchen leads to the dining/lounge. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with fabulous Feather and Black king sized bed, and a twin bedroom. This is definitely one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. The location was splendid and it gave us lovely cosy accommodation, with everything we could possibly need. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday cottage in that area.

Had a wonderful week at Wood Farm Cottages, Rowan cottage was lovely and clean, everything you require, parking, laundry room, wonderful amenities for children and an informative map room. Only minute detail for us was the shower head which not as effective as it could have been. Would definitely go back, excellent base for getting out seeing North Norfolk.

We have stayed in Rowan before at Wood Farm and the standard of the whole site is still exemplary. The grounds are beautifully maintained and if you do have a four legged friend, the 2 field walk is perfect, especially at 6 in the morning!

So quiet and peaceful. When it's time to depart, you have to think what day it is!

Highly recommend.

It was our second stay in Wood Farm Cottages. We love it .The cottages are warm, well equipped and comfortable.
The farm is very child friendly with toys and a super play area.

This was our first time staying in Rowan cottage, we have stayed in the other dog friendly cottages on previous occasions. It is very comfortable and cozy, I love the new colour scheme too. The enclosed front garden is a great bonus for Herbie the dog. Diana and Chris are lovely hosts, making another very relaxing break, we look forward to our next visit.

What a find! Location excellent - just outside Holt. Facilities wonderful, especially for children with a field with trampoline ,slide etc plus indoor barn with ride-one and games room. Easy dog walking and characterful sheep and lambs. Cottage was small but had everything we needed and accommodated us and overnight stays from 2 visiting grandchildren with ease.
A very attentive and welcoming owner, Diana who had put a tin of shortbread and a foil tray for our turkey ( we were there for Christmas) to welcome us. We spent a very happy two weeks in Rowan Cottage and would throughly recommend it.

We have now been to Wood Farm several times over the years and always love our stay. Rowan Cottage is lovely it is very well maintained, it is well equipped and cosy. It is also dog friendly and has a secluded garden. We will definitely stay there again.

This was our second stay at Wood Farm and yet again it didn't disappoint. Beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful while also being conveniently placed to get to the beaches as well as amenities. Our children loved the play area and the cottage was everything we needed for a relaxing and fun stay. Chris and Diana are wonderful hosts. We'd be back again next year if they weren't already booked up!

We had the loveliest time at Wood Farm Cottages. It was our first stay and was perfection. Beautiful spacious cottage (we stayed in Rowan), with all of the amenities. Friendly and helpful hosts. Amazing play areas, which our son (6) loved! Peaceful and quiet countryside. Can’t wait to visit again!

This cottage is set in a very quiet rural location which was perfect for us as we had our dogs with us. There are lots of pubs and places to visit locally which are also dog friendly within half an hour drive. The cottage itself is very clean and tidy with everything you need for your stay. As dogs we’re not allowed upstairs we feel that the Stairgate would be better placed at the bottom of the stairs rather than the top of the stairs to protect the stair carpet. Also dogs are not allowed on the sofas so we found that a little bit tricky as well. Other than that I’ll stay was very restful and we had a lovely time

It is our second stay at Wood Farm Cottages and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. A nice relaxing environment especially for families as the children can safely run free exploring, playing on zip wire, trampoline, slides, swings, football and inside the barns for pool, table football, table tennis etc. Every one hopefully will enjoy seeing the wild life with plenty of hares and deer in the surrounding fields and in the barn the family of barn owls, so don't forget your binoculars.

The cottages are comfy, well equipped and really clean. Diana and Chris are very freindly and knowledgeable supplying plenty of reccomendations of where to go and what to do. They ensure that everything is in tip top condition.

This was our second visit to these cottages and we have booked again for next year, which says it all really! This is an amazing place!

Chris, Diane and Kerry are amazing; they are very welcoming. They have vast knowledge of things to do in Norfolk and can always recommended different things to suit your needs. In particular, it’s a great location for families - you are not far from the beach or other activities like Bewilderwood or Roar.

Rowan cottage is gorgeous - you are on the end row with an enclosed garden looking out over the fields, so the views are beautiful and it feels safe if you have young children. The cottage has everything that you need and the park on-site is excellent for children (slide, swings, trampoline, sandpit, tractors, treehouse and a zip wire).

It’s the perfect stay for families!

I was most impressed with my stay at Rowan Cottage. I really enjoyed having breakfasts on the outside patio table ( On the grass). The Kitchen was impressive and the Dining area too. The Lounge was nice but I could'nt get comfy on the leather sofas, kept slipping around.
The Bedrooms were nice and bright and the beds more than adequate. Storage room was fine but there were only two of us.
Bathroom and Shower were great, I loved the very easy to handle shower.
Some internal doors squeaked a bit, but it all added to the ambience.
Will definitely try to get Rowan Cottage again.

Highly recommend these cottages we try to get there for at least a few days every year if you have children there are plenty of things to do there and if you have a dog plenty of walks you can take them on you are about 15 minutes from the coast so very convenient plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area very good eating places

Well appointed cottage that, despite being in a terrace, felt very private. The private garden was ideal for our two small dogs.
Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you'd ever need and more.
Lounge was really comfortable and furniture was high quality.
Beds were amongst the comfiest we've ever experienced.
All bed linen and towels were spotless and plentiful.
The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and all electrical equipment had detailed operating instructions.
There's plenty to do both on and off site and there's a bookshelf that's full to bursting with something to suit everyone.
All in all an ideal home from home holiday experience with added extras.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of Nov 2021, arriving in the dark to find a lovely, warm and cosy cottage which was very welcoming. The accommodation met our needs perfectly. While we didn't need it, the play space facilities for families looked great. We enjoyed meeting the friendly pair of Valais sheep.
Wood Farm is perfectly located to explore north Norfolk.

My wife and I have stayed at Wood Farm many times and several times in Rowan Cottage. It is a lovely site that caters for all ages and is within easy reach of the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The cottage is very cosy and has it's own private garden to the front. All the staff are friendly and helpful and we would recommend the cottages to both young and old. Can't wait to go back.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location.
The owners went out of the way to make us feel welcome including providing somewhere safe for our bikes to be stored.
We didn't have children with us but the site was well equiped for those that did with a play area, ride on tractors, table football etc.
All in all a great stay but time went too quickly lol

This was the 1 st time in Rowan cottage for us, it was comfortable but does lack space unlike the other cottages we’ve stayed in on wood Farm. It only has windows on the east side which adds to the feel of it being small. However there is a lovely outside area to sit and as the weather was great all week we had a great stay here. Will definitely be back to stay at wood farm

We rented four of the eight cottages between my mother and my two sisters plus six of the grandchildren. It couldn't have worked better and was absolutely the most perfect way for a big family gathering. We gathered outside our cottage (because of covid) and also in the playing field and had several trips to nearby beaches, pubs etc. Diana and Chris have thought of everything possible to make your stay at wood farm cottages as perfect as possible for familys and children of all ages. There's a football pitch, a zip wire, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, table football plus the lovely setting to freely walk in which all adds to a great time being had by all. My mother was delighted to be able to spend her birthday with her family after such a long absence and it really is a great place in a beautiful part of Norfolk. Thank you Diana and Chris.

We stayed at Rowan cottage with our 8 month old for a week. It was truly a home away from home. We had everything we needed. The cottage was fantastic. The playground is awesome.
It is a great base for exploring Norfolk. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We love this place! We love the setting and the outdoor space is brilliant for kids of all ages. My boys particularly love the trampoline, zip wire and the games barn. We walked to the pigs for food which is excellent. Highly recommend.

Cottages are well placed for many lovely local beaches and towns most within a 30 min drive. The play area is fantastic for children and games room a nice touch for tweenagers. The pleasant walk to the very nice but expensive Pigs pub was a bonus. The site manager was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and the owner Diana was friendly and accomodating. Our cottage was small and the shower wasn't the best but it was dog friendly and suited our families needs well. Facilities on site so good we didn't want for anything. Overall an excellent family holiday and would recommend for anyone with young children.

We stayed at Wood Farm Cottages for a week with our 6 month old and our 3 year old (2 boys). We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners. We can highly recommend these cottages - fantastic location for visiting various attractions/beaches in Norfolk. The play area is excellent, our 3 year old played there everyday which broke the day up nicely. Some good peaceful walks available on your door step.

We loved our stay at the cottage. It has everything that we needed and they also had some great things to do on site for my daughter eg zip wire, little tree house, sand pit and slide. They even had two black faced sheep on site that we could visit. The location is great for nearby beach visits eg to Cromer and we also enjoyed a trip to Holt country park for a lovely walk which was 5 mins drive. I found the owners to be extremely helpful and responsive and given the fact we were the first guests after the CoVid closure they handled the whole thing exceptionally well with plenty of communication and it was very easy to follow the rules they laid out eg sticking to one family per piece of equipment in play ground and using hand sanitiser between using equipment. Fantastic stay!

We highly enjoyed our stay at Wood Farm and would return anytime. Rowan cottage was perfect for our family of 4, and we especially appreciated the play area for children and the game room. We had a wonderful stay in North Norfolk, the cottage was well equipped and very well located for visiting various attractions, even for Sandringham. Our party of four adults managed well in the cottage the only thing which would of made a difference was an additional w.c./cloakroom for the morning ablutions. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the dishwasher in the kitchen was a nice extra.
Looking forward to going back again soon.

We recently stayed at Wood Farm as part of a party in 6 cottages and I was very impressed with the whole set up there. The cottage was clean and very well stocked with all the essentials for everyday living there wasn't a thing I thought I could have done with, right down to a whisk (which I did need and had brought) The cottage was clean and well maintained. It is situated in the quiet countryside and anywhere is a drive except the pub! On dark evening bring a torch, yes, they have one at the cottage! We brought the dog and should yours get muddy there's even a dog cleaning area, plenty of places to walk around the area. I got to see 5 other cottages and each one was as good. Chris and Diana are most welcome hosts and can be easily contacted should you require their assistance. Will most definitely be going back and back, as do many according to the guest book in our cottage.

My wife and I have been staying at Wood Farm at least twice a year for the last 11 years or so - this must say everything!!! Diana, Chris and David are most welcoming hosts and the cottages are always beautifuly presented. We have stayed in Rowan many times as it is a very cosy home from home. It is an ideal place from both young and old and is within easy reach of the lovely North Norfolk coast, needless to say we will be returning.

We had a fasntastic stay, cottage was perfect as a base for exploring the area, nice local pub and Holt not far away. The managers/owner were fantastic, very approachable but let you enjoy everything in peace. Lovely kids play area and a gorgeous courtyard that the multiple properties were based around. We loved Rowan Cottage the size was perfect & well equipped with everything we needed. The setting is gloriously quiet and particularly Rowan with the hedge at the front which gave us more privacy than the others which face into the courtyard. And we had views from our patio table across to the barley field too. So peaceful. The children’s facilities indoor & outdoor were perfect for our nearly 5 yo. Loved the map room too, very good idea. We will definitely be back.

We were lucky enough to be the first winners of a competition run by the owners which gave us a free week in Rowan Cottage. Having stayed there before we could not believe our luck in winning such a great prize!

As always the Owners were very hospitable and Rowan Cottage was just as we had remembered. The location is perfect with the excellent Pigs restaurant just down the road and numerous beaches and parks easily accessible by car.

We feel so lucky to have originally found Rowan Cottage to stay in but to win a week really was magical.

We could not rate highly enough our wonderful stay on both occasions.

Over the years I have stayed at Wood Farm Cottages many times, and have always thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Rowan Cottage is beautifully equipped and an attractive and relaxing place to stay. The Pigs pub, a ten minute walk up the lane, is a “must” to visit, with excellent food. Holt is always a pleasure to visit and the nearness to so many beautiful beaches and the opportunity to visit country houses makes it an ideal holiday place to stay.

We have just had a very comfortable stay in Rowan Cottage, Wood Farm. The cottage had everything we needed so was a peaceful ‘home from home’ in an arable farm setting. I recently stayed at Wood Farm and fell in love with the place, it is a beautiful sanctuary that lifted my spirits. The cottage we stayed in was pristine, spacious and homely, and the warmth of Chris and Dianna echoed the magic of the place. Seeing the hares running wild and the owls flying low will live on in my many wonderful memories of the place. And it is close to many wonderful attractions and great pubs, all within Eady walking distance. I can't wait to come back.

This cottage was clean and well appointed. The staff were excellent, very considerate and informative and readily available. The cottage was dog-friendly but the boundary of the grounds was not fenced so it was not possible to let the dog run off the lead. The location is very good provided you are wanting to be in the countryside. Holt is close at 5 miles but the coast is a longer drive.

A wonderful short stay in Rowan cottage. My two boys and toddler thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We soent most of our time exploring the grounds and areas. So much to do. The grounds are beautifully kept and we felt very at home and comfortable. We shall definitely be returning!

Well stay at Wood Farm cottages. A lovely location with views over the fields and a great big expanse of sky, idyllic. The cottage was very well equipped with everything from plenty of utensils to dishwasher tablets. We had secure storage for our bikes and even had a game of table tennis. We even thought that perhaps we should have taken our grandchildren as the play area was excellent. Close to the Pigs pub which served excellent food. I can see us re-visiting Wood Farm with a larger party than the two of us!!

Rowan Cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing break with a toddler. The cottage was extremely comfortable and baby/child friendly (they even had blackout blinds so we got a lie in!). Wood Farm has great facilities including a wonderful play area which we all loved. The location is perfect too for exploring North Norfolk. This was our fifth year at Woodfarm and our third in Rowan Cottage. As usual the welcome was warm, the cottage immaculate and more than adequately equipped. Our daughter (now 12) instantly teamed up with other children and spent hours on the trampoline, zip wire etc provided. Even our dog found a couple of playmates. We visited with friends and found the cottage quite snug for four adults. It was well equipped and the beds comfortable. Seating four adults around the gated table was restrictive but doable. The sofa was comfortable but blocked the window which was a shame. The cottage is in a lovely setting surrounded by fields and we loved seeing hares in the fields. The facilities for table tennis etc were good. We visited a lot of north Norfolk as the cottage is in a good position for this. The Pigs Pub is within walking distance and serves very good food. Diana was welcoming, friendly and informative and sorted out any issues quickly and efficiently.

Enjoyed a much needed break at Wood Farm Cottages - and we could not have wished for a better quiet rural location and beautifully clean cottage with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday.
Whilst my wife and I did not have any children with us we were impressed by the facilities provided for families with children, i.e. the play area and the inside play barn.
The laundry facilities were excellent as were the numerous leaflets available for many of the tourist attractions in Norfolk.

We were greeted and shown around by Lucy whowas very friendly and helpful and even took time out to include our four year old son in the intro to wood farm and it's surroundings. The cottage was extremely clean with everything we could possibly need included even dish washer tablets,dish cloths and tea towels. The grounds and play area were fantastic and our little boy would have moved in if he could. The grounds were clean, tidy and we'll kept and it was so lovely to be somewhere that was really quiet and peaceful even though all eight cottages were full that week. One of the best places we have holidayed since having our little boy five years ago. Xx

Would definitely come again and have already recommended to a friend. The owners were friendly and the facilities were great. The children loved the park area and the location was suitable to visit a few different places during our stay.

Another excellent stay in one of the Wood Farm Cottages. I so enjoyed my stay in Rowan Cottage, and had such a happy and relaxing time in a cottage where, everything I could possibly want was provided. The cottage was spotlessly clean and cosy and attractively furnished. It is ideally situated to explore so much that North Norfolk has to offer, including many places of interest, beautiful walks and the delightful town of Holt. I am already looking forward to my next visit, knowing that I will always have the most enjoyable time. Diana always makes you feel so welcome.

We had a great short break and are very keen to come back to Wood Farm and this area of Norfolk again, it was perfect! The location & grounds are ideal for children but offer plenty for adults, too; for kids, the vintage tractor was a winner, as was the zip wire! Rowan cottage was spotless and beds were comfy! We loved it. Our only real criticisms would be that the carpets are very thin & worn so it isn't as cosy or quiet (v creaky!) as it could be and some of the crockery provided for kids was of the thin disposable plastic type. Oh, and some kids cutlery would be great! These are minor and didn't affect our utterly wonderful holiday. The amazing Autumn weather helped, too!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are delighted to hear you had an utterly wonderful holiday! We have to agree with you about the shabby state of the stairs carpet - but in fact it isn't worn, but damaged by the sun coming through the velux window. We have already changed it once, as we had not worked out what had caused the worn look, but of course it came right back. We are going to replace it again, but choose a lighter colour to see if this will make a difference. Fingers crossed ;)

First time visitors, delighted in every way. The lodgings are perfect, quiet beyond silence, with wide open night skies as you lay in bed peering out the skylights. Countryside is filled with charm. Don't miss the Dolphin trips. Owners Diana and Chris are beautiful and generous. Would go back and will go back.

Comfy and well equipped cottage in a quiet and tranquil spot with good communications to nearby towns and villages. Unobtrusive and helpful friendly owners. Nice to see hares running around first thing in the morning. We would happily stay again.

We stayed for a week on Wood Farm and I would definitely recommend it to any one. Rowan Cottage itself was very comfortable - no sign of the scrimping that often goes into furnishing such places. The beds were very comfy, as was the living space/sofa. The kitchen was very thoughtfully kitted out with all the necessaries - no need to improvise a colander or bemoan the lack of a good sharp knife or a cheesegrater. There was even complimentary tea and coffee - perfect after a long drive. The shower was also fabulous with loads of hot water and good pressure. There was a full bookcase that catered for readers young and old, which even housed some of the classic board games.

The site was just as thoughtfully set up as the cottage. The laundry (washing machine and a tumbler) housed a comprehensive range of tourist leaflets, maps and info on local walks. The kids had plenty to do with a large lawn to run around on, trampoline, zip line, slide and an indoor space for rainy days.

10/10. Looking forward to our next stay.

We have stayed many times at Wood Farm and in most of the cottages and they are all of the same high standard.

Rowan Cottage is probably our favourite. It is cosy, beautifully maintained with a kitchen equiped with everything you could possible require. The new heating is lovely and the farm itself is a tranquil and relaxing environment.

Nothing else we have stayed in comes even close to Rowan. Diana is the perfect hostess, there when you need her but leaves you to enjoy your stay.

We would highly recommend Rowan or indeed any of the other cottages, to familes, couples and those just wanting a quite break away from it all.

We booked Rowan Cottage at the last minute for a quick getaway and we were absolutely delighted when we arrived. The cottage was small but perfectly adequate for a family of four (two adults and two children) The cottage was in excellent decorative order and the playground onsite for the children was brilliant.

The booking process was straight forward and simple and we were made to feel extremely welcome.

Without a shadow of a doubt we will definitely book to stay here again.
