Granary occupies the entire first floor of the Coach House and provides spacious accommodation for up to 8 people in two family bedrooms (plus two double sofa beds in the living area). It was built above the stables in the 1870s to store sacks of grain from the farm.

In Granary you can enjoy:

  • Exceptionally spacious living area arranged into two seating areas and two dining spaces
  • Kitchen with dishwasher, two fridges, a freezer, large cooker, microwave and a washing machine with drier
  • Family bathroom with bath and separate shower
  • Master bedroom with en-suite shower room, a king-size bed and two singles
  • Second family bedroom with two single beds and a super-king bed (this can be split into two singles on request)
  • Original features including the grain winch and the workings of the 19th century Coach House clock
  • All bed linen, towels, cleaning materials, tea towels and oven gloves included
  • Central heating included
  • Free wifi

We enjoyed being able to host our large party of family and friends in Granary for multiple birthday celebrations over the weekend. Paul and Flora did everything - and more - to make us welcome and accommodate our large party; they even organised perfect weather enabling us to walk and picnic in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds!

This was our 3rd visit to Brackenborough Hall. It’s an excellent venue for an extended family get together/holiday.
Plenty of space indoors and outdoors for everyone and lots for the children to explore as well as peaceful walks in the countryside.

The welcome, accommodation and facilities at Brackenborough are all fantastic - Paul and Flora were extremely kind and friendly and our kids (7 and 5) both had a wonderful time. One said he wished we could stay for a month! Only downside is slightly longer drives than we prefer to the coast etc but the location in other ways - walks on the farm etc - make up for that. Highly recommend.

Booked for a big birthday for my husband a family group of 16 had 3 nights staying in the granary and stables, we just used the stables for extra beds but spent all our time together in the granary. There was absolutely everything we needed, the dressing up box for the younger ones was brilliant and all the outdoor equipment kept everyone entertained! Paul & flora made us all feel very welcome & we had a great time. Would definitely return

Staying in the Granary with friends was a delight. The space is flexible and comfy, allowing both privacy and sociability. Flo and Paul are perfect hosts. They have thought of everything and create a warm welcome including linc’s famous plum bread and access to vegetables from the garden. The farm setting was beautiful and a revelation for those of us who didn’t know the area and imagined it flat and boring. Instead, it’s on the edge of the rolling Lincolnshire wolds and is gloriously unspoilt. Great base for exploring a neglected area. Recommended on all levels.

We hire all three apartments out at least twice per year. Paul, Flora, Chris and Norman cannot do enough to make the stays comfortable and the location spectacular (and it improves every time).

Since having this experience booked as a surprise by my children we now meet up here every year. We book the whole place. The grandchildren are safe and the dogs love it too. Paul and Flora (the owners) can't do enough for you and Paul will come and get the Grandchildren when a calf has been born. The properties have been done up sympathetically, keeping some of the old features. We love our yearly gathering and would recommend Brackenborough Coach House to anyone. Brilliant!

They provide a very warm welcome, and are extremely happy to share their wonderful farm with curious visitors. Fresh fruit and vegetables, homemade produce and the opportunity to watch a calf being born, combined with beautiful walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds, made this a perfect little holiday!

The Granary was the perfect location for a family Christmas. It accommodated two families with 5 small children very well. Everything had been thought of from activities for the children to a fully equipped kitchen. Paul and Flora were incredibly accommodating and the farm tour from Paul was a brilliant bonus. We were a large group coming from Australia to the UK then Ireland …our stay here was perfect for the Adults and Children …. Who were made very welcome and included in everything … the kids loved it … our friends and family were able to come and visit and stay over night …fabulous place. Paul made us feel very welcome children also … great experience … the chickens did thei best with eggs .. but we were too many for them. All I can say is I highly recommend this place and hope we are able to come back one day. Thankyou so much

Had a great stay at Brackenborough Hall. The granary was well equipped with anything you could need, books, toys, extra blankets. We enjoyed seeing the chickens and cows outside, the tractors and combine. The kids enjoyed the outdoor play equipment, table tennis, rocking horse and free vegetables! Paul and Flora were lovely and always available to help if needed.

Magnificent facilities for the whole group to dine together in the evenings with a grass tennis court, table tennis and loads of indoor and outdoor games to play. The footpaths provide varied routes for walking and running.

Our extended family stayed in all three apartments for my husbands 70th birthday.
We had a great time. The accom was spotlessly clean and it had everything and I mean everything! Want a large pan to cook potatoes for 19, want to set the table for 20+ for a formal dinner, well just look in the cupboards!
Our family enjoyed the tennis court, the space for football, rounders and the table tennis. We all ached for days.
We hope to do it again next year. We’ll be back!

A museum-like venue packed with fascinating original features but with lots of investment in creature comforts - well specified bathroom, en-suite shower & loo, kitchenette with multiple brand new fridges - has huge spaces with the open-plan kitchen-dining-living-games at more than 100sqm and the family bedroom which sleeps 4 bigger than many 1-bed apartments. The owners are v friendly and perfectly relaxed about you wandering the remarkable gardens of the big house including the newly restored folly looking back to Louth. I only got to stay 2 nights and was working most of that in Grimsby, but this would make a great base for a group of friends to holiday or a team to make their plans, eg musicians, filmmakers (like us) who will love the space for their kit ( and there’s no risk of theft as you’re half a mile down the drive of a large ‘country house’. Ideal for letting the kids wander as no risk of cars, but you might need to point out the bull!

We absolutely loved our stay at Brackenborough Hall Coach House! There was loads of things there for children to do (no need to take toys or games for indoors or the garden!) and they had a great time climbing in tractors and looking at the animals as we had a tour of the farm. Paul and Flora couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful, making sure everything was as we needed it. Would recommend it to other families or groups with children.

We stayed in the Granary at Brackenborough Hall and all aspects of the accommodation were excellent. The working farm and the land on which the accommodation is situated are both great to see and there is a lot to visit in the surrounding area. Louth is very close and is a lovely market town. If it is the right time of year, a visit to the seal colony at Donna Nook is well worthwhile. The hosts are great and we had a lovely time. We will definitely visit again.

Brackenborough Hall Coach House really is the perfect venue for groups and families to get together, and it is truly expertly run by Paul & Flora. Every last detail has been considered, it is been beautifully restored, is spotless, and has absolutely everything you need. Everything is of the highest standard, from the bedding to the complimentary plum loaf which awaits you on arrival, and for a large group like ours it was fantastic having the four bedrooms downstairs in addition to the two large rooms in the Granary. Even for a weekend in November, there is plenty to do from visiting Louth to going to see the seal pups at Donna Nook, and we had the best time. Many thanks Paul & Flora, and I will be in touch to book for next year!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Granary. Brackenborough is a truly beautiful place – the grounds are fascinating. The apartment was superbly clean and really quirky – we really enjoyed the original features relating to the apartment’s past and, of course, the wonderful clock! There were 10 of us and we could all sit round the table easily – this is not always possible! Ping pong and table football were always in use when we weren’t out walking. Paul and Flora are the perfect hosts and we highly recommend Brackenborough. And if you have time for a tour please do it – it was fantastic! Thank you both very much.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. We stayed with our young family. Our 3 year old absolutely loved the shed full of outdoor toys, the climbing frames, swings and the adventure of exploring the garden/wood and paddling in the ford. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped place before - Paul and Flora have thought of everything. In addition to the essentials, there were lots of books, games and toys to keep everyone entertained, and Paul and Flora have compiled folders full of suggested walks/outings and have created nature trails around the farm. The beds were so comfortable and the shower and bath were great! We very much hope to return!

We were a party of 7, including 3 children. It was refreshing to have so many facilities to entertain the children in a safe and exciting environment. Loads of family games that are available to entertain the children and the adults. The location was amazing and we were able to roam across the acres of land and do a nature trail. The 2 bedrooms were well equipped and separate from each other therefore allowing individuals to have their own space. There are walks around the area that children are able to achieve and enjoy. Excellent location and made for a brilliant family reunion, highly recommended.

We booked out the full Coach House for a big family gathering for our parents joint 60th. We have decided to book it every year for a get together because it couldn’t be more perfect. There were plenty of toys and things for the kids, a nice secure garden for the dogs and plenty of farmland to explore. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. They came to get us when a cow was giving birth so we could watch and it was incredible seeing the other babies that had no long been born. All the apartments were clean, warm and cosy. The Granary in particular easily fit our large group for meals and gathering together for drinks and games. Everyone had an amazing time, the kids cried because they didn’t want to leave. The owners really thought of everything, all the kitchen equipment you’d need, dog bowls, kid toys, torches, games, ashtrays. Whatever you need they’ve probably got it. We’re already deciding when our next trip is going to be! Perfect stay and our parents were over the moon with their suprise!

We’ve just got back from our long weekend stay at Brackenborough Coach House. We hired the entire coach house as there was 22 of us in total. Brackenborough Coach House was the perfect set up for what we wanted. Enough room for all of us to dine & socialise together in the Granary. The location was perfect; all of the children & the adults loved going on the farm tour that Paul provided; aswell as being able to free roam the estate & see the cows & chickens whenever we wanted was brilliant! They had plenty of tree swings for the children to use, a play area for young children, a football goal and more!!
We have already discussed rebooking to go back as it was such a lovely place & great value.

My wife and I stayed in the Granary with our son and his wife and their two daughters aged 3 and 1/2 and 18 months. There was plenty of space for us all and the Granary was clean, comfortable and well equipped, including toys for the children (and adults) to play with. There was a play area outside, again well supplied with toys and equipment. We were given an excellent tour of the farm. Louth is a lovely market town and there are several others nearby including Caister. The coast, with wonderful empty beaches, is close by. Slightly further away is Lincoln which is well worth a visit. We had a throughly enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Granary for a weekend away with friends (a family of 3 and a family of 4).
The accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so beautiful. There were so many things for the children including the garden shed filled with ride on toys and toys within the property. We had everything we needed within the accommodation and they even provided a proper cot for us to use instead of the travel cot.
The property is set on a working farm and the boys loved looking at the animals and all of the machinery.
The location was great as it was close to a small town with shops and pubs.
Paul and Flora were really lovely and Paul greeted us on arrival. He took the children to go and see the chickens which they loved.
We have nothing bad to say - it was fantastic.

We had 3 nights in the granary, which is a lovely old building. Plenty of room for us all. The beds are made up with lovely white linen, and there are fresh white towels provided. Paul and Flora were really helpful, and very friendly on arrival and departure. There was fresh produce from the gardens for our use, potatoes, tomatoes, courgettes etc.A good garden with play area for our children, and very dog friendly.Loads of lovely walks on the estate. The only negative was at the time of our visit there were a lot of flies around,we did appreciate the fact that we were on a farm, but maybe an electronic 'blue light' in the ceiling Kitchen area would be helpful. Also the kitchen is a little small for the amount of accommodation on offer, but plenty of crockery ,dishes and utensils are provided.Lovely walks all around the farm in very pretty countryside.

Booked for a family get together, had two families in here and there was loads of room.
Everything you could want and was very comfortable. Everybody had a great time. Children loved stroking the bull, and exploring.
I can highly recommend staying here.
Paul was very helpful and friendly and Norman the gardener was very informative

An ideal base for exploring Lincolnshire or just relaxing. We love the peace and quiet, walking around the farm and fields. We've stayed 6 times over the years. Kids love it. This place is our little secret.

Brackenborough Hall is one of the best places we've ever stayed. It's phenomenally well thought out and equipped for families, and the location is just perfect. Paul and flora were wonderful hosts - Paul was very generous with his time giving us a tour of the farm and letting the kids sit in the tractors and combine. The granary was perfect for us, our 7 year old, and my parents (in their 70s). Vey comfortable and spacious. Loved it!

We booked the Granary and the Stables for a family get together and had a really enjoyable weekend. It was a pleasure to walk in the gardens and to be shown around the farm. The Granary had everything we needed, comfortable, plenty of space and lots of things for the younger ones to do - they loved the bagatelle board! The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms had everything, good showers and decent sized towels! Lovely to be able to buy eggs and honey and make use of the garden produce, including some herbs.

Booking process was excellent with good communications from the owners.
On arrival everything was as we expected. A lovely location and well appointed accommodation.

Would recommend the Granary for larger family groups. Plenty of comfortable seating, two fridges and a freezer plus all the expected equipment.

The birdsong was deafening, the setting stunning. Ancient woodland, lincolnshire wolds, a moat, ancient medieval village, history (2nd world war pill boxes) friendly cattle, bio mass boiler and I could go on. A most special place deserving its many awards. Great for packing in the children in the granary. Flexible bedrooms, sofa beds etc. Well equipped, good bed linen, flowers, excess produce from the veg garden in the communal area. Table tennis and loads of books, guides etc. Great hosts. Do take up the offer of a tailor made guided tour. A beautiful conversion.
Also ideal for an office getaway. Great for meetings. 2 large tables, breakout rooms and plenty of comfy sofas and chairs. 2 bathrooms.

This was an after COVID family reunion and what a place to celebrate. This is our 5th trip to brackenborough and will definitely not be our last. We have all made some really special memories here. What a comfortable stay for my birthday weekend away with family and friends. The Granary is lovely and spacious and equipped with everything you could need for a short break. Good kitchen facilities, extremely comfortable beds and plenty of room for lounging even for s large group. Paul and his wife were very accommodating to help us book at short notice.
We spent the weekend walking in the wolds, which is a hidden gem often overlooked by some of the more well known national parks. A really peaceful, quiet and beautiful area of the UK.

Excellent accommodation with everything you could think of for a comfortable stay, including free homegrown vegetables and fruit from the garden. We were part of a larger family group staying in all of the Coach House and using it as a way of meeting up in a socially distanced way. Perfect holiday for groups who want to get together safely due to coronavirus. We explored the farm with our dogs, walked on the coast at Theddlethorpe, walked the wolds above Fotherby, wandered through the harvest fields, and relaxed in the lovely surroundings. Thank you, Paul and Flora.

Our family stayed in The Granary apartment, the largest of the 3 apartments on site. The Granary is super, so spacious and with everything you need for a perfect family stay. The new whirlpool bath is a lovely addition. The outdoor space matches the indoor and having the table tennis under cover helped when we had a few showery days. We love Brackenborough, this was our 4th stay

This was our first family visit to Lincolnshire and we were very impressed by the location and beautiful surrounding countryside. We felt very much at home in the comfortable Granary apartment. Our grandchildren had plenty of room to play indoors and really enjoyed exploring the outdoor play areas and the farm. We had lovely country walks and visits to the seaside.
Paul & Flora were very welcoming and ensured that we were comfortable. We also enjoyed talking with Norman who showed us round the wonderful vegetable/fruit garden.

We hired all 3 apartments between 4 families & we used the Granary as a base. Everything was perfect - location, cleanliness, provision of equipment which included a whole cabinet full of games, puzzles etc. Paul & Flora the owners were wonderfully attentive, whilst equally giving us space to do our own thing. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay & will definitely be back! Which I think speaks for itself! Thank you!
