The large open plan living space with vaulted ceilings is what allows guests to feel so relaxed in The Stable, with leather sofas and an extendable dining table, there are many home from home comforts. This is a one bedroomed cottage with a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom and an enclosed, private, lawned garden with outdoor seating area so suitable for guests bringing their dogs. This ground floor cottage is suitable for people with disabilities.

Enjoyed our stay here very much.
Very quiet and peaceful.A perfect place to explore Salop

The Stable at Burlton Cottages is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and sits in the midst of glorious countryside. Use of the Spa was the icing on the cake, being able to stroll over to the facility every day and have exclusive use of the pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room for up to two hours was great. Rachel, the owner, was friendly and helpful, a perfect host.

Last minute trip. Booked for relaxation after just having a baby. Secure fencing so we could leave the doors open and not worry about our dog.
Nice to be able to have use of the spa facilities to help unwind.

I love a spa break and I like the freedom of self catering, this holiday gave us both in the most fabulous location. The cottages are beautifully presented and very comfortable with everything we needed for our holiday, including robes and towels, just as you would get at any spa. Plenty to do in the area if you can tear yourself away from the onsite facilities. Booking your exclusive use of pool and spa is very easy and an absolute treat. We used our two hours everyday to energise in the morning and to chill later in the day. Pub within walking distance and other attractions close by made this one of the best holidays in ages. Thank you to Rachel for her hospitality.

We really enjoyed our break in the Stable, which is very comfortable and perfectly equipped with everything needed in a self-catering cottage. The decoration and furnishings are delightful, and the space has a modern yet homely feel. The pool and spa facilities on site are a great bonus, and a joy to step across the courtyard for a swim and to use the steam room and sauna!
Also wonderful to be able to book massages and other treatments at the spa, which added to our experience.
Everything has been created to make the environment special, including a studio with a kitchen for larger celebratory gatherings. The owner hosts Rachel and Gerry were welcoming and helpful including their splendid advice and recommendations for local eating. A thoroughly relaxing, delightful stay, plenty to see and do in the area, so we would happily return.

We stayed in the Stables which was beautifully furnished and clean. It had everything we needed. We used the spa almost every day which was a bonus. It was lovely and warm and we enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the jacuzzi and steam room .
We went out every day exploring the area and went to some of the recommended pubs for
lunches or dinner.
It is a great place for walking in the countryside plenty of places to see..
It is our first time in Shropshire and we will definitely come again.

Always enjoy staying at Burlton cottages.
Location is spot on and having the gym and pool on site is great for us-we always enjoy making use of the facilities,which are first class.
Cottage lovely and in a great location to visit loads of different places in Shropshire.
Ate twice at the local pub and enjoyed the meals on each occasion.
Rachel always friendly and on hand to help if needed.
Hopefully we will be back soon.

A fantastic cottage for two in a good location, with a brilliant spa and great hosts. The cottage was very well presented, clean and well equipped with lovely bed linen, towels, pool robes, slippers and pool towels. The doggy hamper was great, Fenway loved the treats and toy. The towels and blankets were also very helpful. We really enjoyed our two hours per day in the spa, absolutely made the most of it along with the gym. All very clean and well equipped. The 2 pre ordered suppers were brilliant; enormous, they both lasted 2 days, and very tasty, would definitely recommend these. Great information on the App, we visited somewhere new every day and were never disappointed. We would love to come back, maybe at a different time of year, perhaps to see the area in the spring sunshine. Thanks you Rachel for being so warm, welcoming and friendly.

We stayed in The Stable and had a very pleasant, relaxing six days stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean, all the kitchenware was of a high standard. We used the swimming pool on three occasions, we particularly enjoyed having sole use of the pool. The pool area including the changing rooms and toilets were very clean, and the water was a very pleasant warm temperature, enabling us to enjoy a nice slow relaxing swim. The ‘Cottage Information Folder’ was a good reference guide, and we visited the Burlton Inn that was listed in the folder for enjoyable evening meals.
The location of the cottages gave us the opportunity to visit National Trust Properties that were too far for a day trip from home.

We followed the directions to Burlton Cottages with ease and had a lovely 6 night stay at The Stable with our dog Roxy. So relaxing and comfortable and everything supplied even a basket of items and treats for Roxy. Hosts greeted us and showed us around and we felt immediately at home. All facilities fully functional and easy to operate. Bed extremely comfortable and a very good night's sleep. Even had the same hairdryer we have. We had downloaded the app which had lots of useful information on it in addition to the traditional folder of information on the table. A basket with lots of local guidebooks and maps too (a few leaflets need updating)! Good speedy wifi connection. The pool and spa facilities amazing - everything so clean and great to have private use which is easily bookable via the app. Nice pub for drinks around the corner. Walks within easy reach around Ellesmere and little town of Wem. A hidden gem nearby was the airfield called RAF Sleap with Pegasus Cafe offering lovely breakfast called Chocks Away. We will definitely book again!

The Stable at Burlton Cottages is one of the best places we have stayed, we have visited 3 times now and it has never disappointed us. It is clean and cosy and Rachel and Gerry could not be more helpful. The cottage has everything you need and even the dog gets a box of goodies including towels and bed on arrival. The spa is the icing on the cake, gym, swimming, jacuzzi etc and Wida gave me the best massage I have ever had, I was so impressed I booked for my husband to have one and he loved it. Shropshire is a lovely county to explore and we can’t wait for our next visit to Burlton Cottages.

This was our 3rd stay at Burlton Cottages twice in The Granary and this time in The Stable, Rachel & Gerry have all you need for your self catering break in fab accommodation and with the Spa facility it’s Perfect. The booking on line to give you exclusive use of the Spa 2 hours a day is great and that could be an hour in the morning and an hour later in the day or 2 hours together works well. With the park and ride not that far away which is ideal for getting into Shrewsbury or just a short walk from Burlton Cottages you can jump on the local bus. We have had nice meals at the Red Lion at Myddle and The Croft at Beaconsfield. As we say our 3rd visit to Burlton Cottages and our 8 days this time was over in a flash, thanks Rachel & Gerry

A fantastic stay - The Stable had everything you needed but with extra luxuries eg quality of bed linen and furnishings. The app that is provided gives great info on eating out, places to visit, dog walks to local info on best places to try. There isn’t anything missed out !
The Farm itself is great with exclusive use of spa each day as well as plenty of onsite walking, “snug” room which includes table tennis . It is really dog friendly - hot and cold taps a welcome pooch hamper and a great enclosed garden. Highly highly recommend.

We stayed in the stable cottage for three nights and had booked our next visit before we left! The stables is cosy, well positioned, clean and welcoming. Little extras like the doggy bits and the reclining sofas helped to make the stables feel like home from home. Having private access to the pool and jacuzzi area meant there were lots of opportunities to relax and let life’s stresses melt away. We have stayed in many cottages the country wide and this is the first in which our dog ‘Arnie’ was instantly settled. It was a lovely stay and we are looking forward to our return in the summer.

It's out of this world!
The owners are so friendly, lovely family. The added bonus of the pool/spa is heaven.
We needed a relaxing break to totally switch off and this did not disappoint.

We stayed in this cottage over new year. It was perfect for a few days away recharging batteries.

The cottage was warm and cosy with lots of nice touches - the Christmas tree was very cute and the biscuits were delicious!

The best part was having exclusive use of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi for two hours every day - pure bliss!

We will definitely return.

Lovely to go back to the Stable at Burlton Cottages. Hostess made us welcome. Facilities as always were excellent, and the massage packages we received were excellent. We deliberately wanted a restful stay - and this was ideal. We managed to write all our christmas cards, and visited a couple of farm shops. Did some shopping in Ellesmere and Llangollen. Weather was mixed, but staying in the cosy cottage whilst the rain poured outside was bliss. Hope to book again next year.

We had a lovely stay. Really enjoyed being able to use the pool and spa every day. Very warm welcome with a delicious cake on arrival and enjoyed being able to buy fresh eggs from the owners. Lots to do in the area including Hencote winery and restaurant, lots of English Heritage sites and National Trust properties, plus it's not too far from the Welsh border for a day trip to Wales.

Stayed a long weekend at Burlton Cottages (The Stables)….extremely comfortable, everything needed was present to allow us and the dogs to relax. The spa & pool were wonderful, made even better by the fantastic booking/info App….all holiday rentals should have this feature!
With open access to wander the farm, there’s really no reason to leave the estate, but if you do, we’d highly recommend a relaxing brunch at The Boathouse, Ellesmere.

My wife never likes going back to a place more than once, but she suggested that we returned to Burlton Cottages. It has a great combination of wonderful facilities on site and a restful location in rural North Shropshire. At present, guests book to have exclusive use of the pool/steam room/hot tub etc in two hour slots. This time we took the opportunity to have a walk round the farm itself - interesting to see the family's approach to farming the land. The welcome was as warm as ever and while I was initially sceptical about as app as a guest book, it was a great innovation and very useful. Thanks!

This was our fourth visit to The Stable. On the first visit I gave 5’s in all categories. Since then there have been the addiction of the swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, gym and the availability of spa treatments. All this plus clean comfortable well equipped cottages that are very dog friendly cottages, where dogs are welcomed with a doggie hamper and access to walks on the farm. The owners, who live on site are very friendly and helpful but respect your privacy. Highly recommended 5+

We chose the Stable because there was no room at the Inn!
No seriously it was due to the accommodation being dog friendly. We were not disappointed and our two sprocker spaniels would most definitely give it the paws up if they could.
Post harvest the purely arable farm offered an endless vista of stubble for them to steam around, and they did!
There is a small fenced exercise area if your dogs cannot be off lead safely, or if you don’t want them covered in mud.
The charming hosts do provide an outside showering area ( with hot water 5 paw treatment! ) so it’s not a problem if they do get a bit mucky charging about.
We visited the local farm shop/cafe and enjoyed several different walks using guide book thoughtfully provided by hosts.
The Spa is absolutely wonderful and we availed ourselves of its facilities daily.
Rachel was a lovely friendly host and we have rebooked which the dogs are wholly in favour of.

This is the second time that we have visited the Stables and I am sure we will return. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Due to a very recent bereavement I just needed some downtime and I was able have that and recharge my batteries and catch up on sleep. We used the pool every day. The pool is spotlessly clean and the booking system is easy to use and amend if you have a last minute change of plans. I also had a lovely massage in the spa. There is a pub within walking distance which we didn’t use this time. There is a lot to do in the area, which is why we need to return as we didn’t venture very far as it was just nice to unwind. Rachel is lovely and welcoming but leaves you to your own devices with the knowledge that she’s there if you need anything.

A beautifully clean, comfortable cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing break for ourselves and our dogs.
Rachel was very helpful but also non intrusive.
The Spa is a massive bonus which we thoroughly enjoyed!
Excellent local dog friendly pubs and walks enhanced to the whole experience.
We had such a good time we have already booked again!

A real gem of a find- excellent accommodation and spa facilities. Rachel is the perfect hostess and nothing was too much trouble. The pub up the road is well worth a visit too. Will definitely be back.

This was our second time staying at Burlton cottages, and it was another great visit. The cottages are nice and clean, decorated very well, and with the right amount of amenities such as pots and pans, glasses et cetera

A real benefit is the spa complex on site, which has a lovely warm pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
At the moment, the gym is not available. There is however a lady who comes on site to give massages and other treatments, which is a real bonus.

This is unlikely to be our last visit, it is a very enjoyable place to stay.

We have stayed numerous times and love it. Rachel is a great host and genuinely cares for her cottages and her guests without being intrusive. The Stable is homely but also feels luxurious. It had everything we needed.
Loved the pool and used it as often as we could. The booking system works well and it is a real treat to use it by ourselves.

We stayed at the Stables for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic website which gave good pre stay info. The cottage was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The use of spa facilities added to the experience Rachel is a fab host helpful and responsive to all queries
We usually stay in hotels but standard so good here will definitely recommend and book again

This was our second visit, delayed for a year because of COVID. Whilst not all spa facilities were open, the ones we usually use were. Keeping to COVID rules by staying local to that area, we found that we had the rest and the weather to have a truly relaxing time The pool booking system worked well. Sitting outside listening to wrens, robins and blackbirds felt that all was well with God’s Creation. We ate out at the Boathouse in Ellesmere(outside) and at the Burlton Inn. Our favourite frozen meal was the Lancashire hotpot. We will definitely return!

The accommodation is of a high standard and provided everything you need. We had good weather and enjoyed sitting out on the patio for breakfast and morning coffee.
Exclusive use of the pool twice a day with personally designated loungers really added to the stay. Being able to have an on-site massage was a real bonus.
Good Pub within walking distance.
Lovely area with lots to do nearby.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Burlton cottages.Really enjoyed the pool and having sole use of it was fabulous,the time slots are a great idea.

We had the most amazing time at The Stables and could not fault any part of the stay. I can genuinely say that Rachel is the loveliest host we have ever met. She is friendly and helpful whilst at the same time allowing guests to enjoy their privacy. Nothing is too much trouble and her welcome cake is amazing!! We were delighted with our stay at The Stable - Burlton Cottages. We were greeted with a lovely cake and breakfast hamper by Rachel and it seemed like they had thought of everything, including a box of emergency supplies. There were a lot of great recommendations of places to eat and go in the local area. They were always on hand to help with anything and had everything in place to make sure the cottages and pool area were Covid-secure. We decided to spend our holiday relaxing in the onsite pool and hot tub but for people more active you have the option of pitch and putt, country walks and boat rides at the nearby lakes. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we will definitely return!

The long weekend was perfect couldn’t of asked for a better place to unwind.

Such a super set up, the boutique spa has everything you could want, and we had it all to ourselves. The accommodation was superb with a delicious cake and milk on arrival (the small details make all the difference). We had an excellent massage by wida and Chris. We have just had a lovely relaxing break in Stable Cottage, part of the small Burlton Cottages complex. The facilities available were ample for our requirements and the cottage was very clean and well presented, with some nice welcoming touches,like the cake that the owner makes herself..... scrummy. The location is very good, nice and quiet, surrounded by farmland and the owners are helpful and available on site to deal with any problems/queries you may have.
This has been our second visit to Burlton Cottages and we look forward to staying again in the near future. Well done to the owners for providing first class accommodation.

We spent a few wonderful child free days at Burlton. The cottage was spotless, well furnished and every convenience had been thought about. 5 days away at a great location with excellent on site facilities. Being able to walk around the farm with the dogs and being able to clean them up with the hot/cold cleaning station just outside the cottage was great. Easy access to some great areas to walk, within easy driving distance. Rachel and Gerry were always contactable if there were any issues, but glad to say we had none.
Used the gym and spa facilities every day they were awesome.

We love everything about Burlton Cottages. The accommodation is immaculate and the spa facility is perfect! Can highly recommend the massage treatments too! The farm is fabulous for walking the dog and the local pub, just a few minutes walk away, offers a friendly welcome and excellent food. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back.

We stayed in The Stable which was a lovely cottage, perfect for the two of us, our baby and the dog. Everything had been thought of, we had everything we needed and the facilities were so clean and tidy. The pool facilities are brilliant. I was expecting the cottage to be a bit more private but the cottage windows all looked out opposite the farm house and with such large windows I did feel like we were in a goldfish bowl slightly and this did make the dog bark quite a bit as he seemed to think he was on guard. (Sorry to the other guests for him) The cottage was very clean but there was some dog hair on the rug which I only noticed as I have an allergy (our dog doesn’t shed). The owners and other guests were all very friendly and we had a great stay visiting lots of local places. The local pub does great food. My husbands only complaint was that the cooker extractor fan was too low as he cut his head on the sharp corner but he is 6ft and I didnt have any issues with it :-) we have recommended to friends and family as it is perfect for dog walking and we are hoping to rebook in the summer so we can experience the local area in the sunshine (hopefully). 5/5 from us!

1st class accommodation in a quiet rural location. The Stables was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. We ordered the 'breakfast package ' which was brilliant. Full of local produce and delicious. The owner's were welcoming and friendly. We used the pool every day and really enjoyed it - the pool complex was immaculately clean and well equipped. It was definately the best holiday let We have stayed in for some years.

We stayed in the Stable for ten days, a lovely experience! The welcome and the lovely cake on arrival was much appreciated.
Everything was much as it says on the tin. The bonus for us was the French windows leading out to the little fenced in garden, especially for our little cocker because it was like home from home for him, he settled in really well.
On site, just a few steps away is the spa, which was absolutely gorgeous if your into a little pamper!
We would have no hesitation in recommending Burlton cottages for either a few days or a little longer as we did!

The pool and gym were particularly good. The location was excellent, convenient pub, good shopping - Wem, Moor Farm Shop, Shrewsbury Market.

The Stable is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. Rachel Mee was very helpful in pointing us the direction of the local Inn, of which we made much use, as the weather during our stay was bitterly cold and snow-bound. The weather was the reason we did not make use of the Spa facilities, although it look to be well-equipped and very clean.

Booking the cottage was very easy and efficient with lots of information about the area and arrival and departure. Lounge dining area was spacious and there was a pleasant sitting out area which would be lovely in summer. On our first evening we discovered that the DVD remote had gone missing. We contacted Rachel the next morning and she produced a replacement DVD player that evening. The control still hasn't been found! Bed was extremely comfortable with lovely fluffy duvet which felt like feather but was man made. I know because I checked the make so that I could buy one for home! Swimming facilities were clean and pool was a good size which is always nice. There is a lot to do in the area around the cottage even in November. Local pub was welcoming and did good food. Would definitely recommend Burlton Cottages.

Rachel and Gerry very helpful and welcoming. Accommodation spotless with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Spa beautiful, pristine condition. We both had two lovely massages through the week off Wida which were amazing. My husband could move his shoulder more easily following her working on it. I booked this as a surprise break for my husband to celebrate our anniversary. He grew up near Shrewsbury so I knew he’d love to show me and our daughter the area.
This property was fantastic and beyond expectation. There was nothing missing, we had everything we needed. The pool is a brilliant facility and our 16 month old girl was in there each day.
We had a lovely welcome on arrival and a very tasty homemade cake was waiting for us. We very quickly felt at home especially with all the toys and things that were provided for our daughter.
Such a relaxing stay, felt like home from home. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in The Stable which had a lovely grass outside area for our dog Dobbie to play in. Saying that, she ran all over the place once out in the fields & absolutely loved it. Fantastic facilities including a pool, Jacuzzi, steam room & sauna - which we used daily & often had to ourselves. It was good muscle therapy after walking several miles each day out and about in Shropshire.
The cottage was clean & had everything you could possibly need. Rachel was very welcoming as was Star their Labrador that liked to run around with our dog Dobbie. We even had a dog welcome hamper with treats & toys! Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely nine day stay Burlton Cottages. Our cottage (The Stable) was just right for us, more than fulfilling our expectations. The cake (thanks Rachel) left for us on arrival wasn't bad either. It went down a treat with a cuppa. The indoor swimming pool was wonderful and well used by us as was the jakuzzi. We shall miss them both greatly and hope to return again soon. Full marks to Rachel and her husband.

We had a lovely, restful stay at the stables. We had a friendly but not intrusive welcome. The cottage was clean and the food pack and welcome cake was good quality and tasted lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped. convenient to all the places we wanted to visit. We used the pool and steam room every day and it was a lovely way to end each day. It was perfect for our little dog. The enclosed garden was safe and she loved that the windows were at ground level for her to see out.
The only negatives is that the spa was not quite finished and builders were still on site. They were friendly and discreet but would love to come back and see it completed. I am of an age where I needed a handrail to get in the pool and jaccuzzi. Had a bit of a slip but the owner Rachel said she would get it sorted asap as it was already on order. Everything else perfect. Can't wait to come back.

Burlton Cottages are easy to find and we were warmly welcomed by Rachel and shown the wonderful spa facilities. Rachel also gave us all the initial information we needed for walking our dog around the farm along with maps and leaflets for going further afield. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and we immediately felt at home with everything we needed. The local pub, only a few minutes walk away, was dog friendly, welcoming and served good food. We also took up the offer of the delicious frozen suppers from Rachel - ready in minutes. There is a convenient village shop in nearby Myddle for supplies. We used the map/books to plan our days and walked each day travelling not too far from Burlton, taking in Meres, deciduous woods, pine forests, quarries, vast countryside views and canal towpaths. We loved nearby Ellesmere, with several visits to the dog friendly Boathouse, the Sculpture Trail and walks by the Mere. The furthest we travelled by car was to the impressive aqueducts at Chirk and Trevor. The hosts are always around if you need them and nothing is too much trouble. Our week passed by all too quickly and we hope to return here for another great holiday. This was probably the best location and holiday cottage we have experienced for taking a dog. We found a little piece of heaven at Burlton Cottage.Our dog was made to feel very welcome too.
The cottage was spacious, clean and well equipped. We were very comfortable in the cottage-cosy settees and a lovely big bed resulting in a very relaxed, stress free break. The swimming pool is sheer luxury and we were able to find a time slot which meant we had sole use of it while we were staying there.

I like the fact that you can book flexible breaks throughout the year.

Rachel was very welcoming and helpful and the jammy sponge cake was divine.

Rachel was very welcoming even giving us a home made cake on arrival. Very dog friendly and the property is of a high standard of equipment actually matching the description for once. Slight blip when the hot water went off due to an electrician turning the power off to the boiler but apologies given and soon rectified. I think Rachel was more bothered than us about it which is good.

Lovely local pub dog friendly within walking distance as described. Lovely area of the country. One of the very few places we would consider a return trip.

Overall we loved it and felt very relaxed from arriving and a bit sad to be leaving which is how a good holiday should feel.

We were looking for a short family get away from it all holiday! That is exactly what we got! A calm and relaxing atmosphere was created the minute we stepped out of the car. Our daughter adored the hens and collected the eggs for her dinner was simply fabulous! We are so inspired we are strongly considering getting some! Rachel was welcoming and helpful - if we are in the area would def stay again.

We really enjoyed our short break in The Stable. We were warmly welcomed by Rachel, and also a lovely cake! The cottage was very comfortable , especially the bed. Everything was to hand - the open plan made for easy living . It was all very quiet and peaceful there, but a good centre for a variety of visits. We liked being able to walk to the local pub where they served excellent food.

We were very pleased with The Stables. It was clean, well-designed and well-maintained. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was good. Everything worked. We liked the styling - which was un-cluttered and attractive. We particularly liked the plentiful windows which made the cottage light and airy. it felt quiet and private. It was very useful for us to be able to stay for part of a week .

We had a wonderful relaxing time at the Stable in extremely quiet surroundings and with all the mod coms to make our stay stress-free and extremely comfortable. As always, we received a warm welcome and appreciated the addition of the dog basket with blankets, drinking bowl, bed mat for the pup to use if need be.

Very glad we returned and looking forward to another visit soon.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting,the owners are most helpful and have set it up to its best for visitors.The freshly baked cake and tea and coffee were a welcome after our journey.Also our dog enjoyed the areas provided for him to stretch his legs.
So ultimately a great holiday cottage in a fantastic position for walking,cycling or seeing the sights.

We had a fantastic holiday at Burlton Cottages. Lots to see and do in the local area (we had no children with us) and it was great to come back to a very comfortable and quiet cottage at the end of each day. Would definitely recommend.

Staying at the stables as part of Burlton cottages was a truly special experience. Set in very relaxing and peaceful surroundings, we were able to recharge the batteries, explore a beautiful part of England and walk the dog to his heart galore.

The cottage is extremely comfortable with all the mod coms you need and our hosts most welcoming. Thank you Rachel for the delicious cake on arrival and showing us around as well as providing ample suggestions for our visits during our short stay.

So tough to leave but looking forward to returning at the first opportunity.

The cottages are in a great spot amidst the north Shropshire countryside and if you take your dog, exercising around the farm couldn't be easier. The cottage is an absolute delight, modern with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. The
linens are of a high quality, as are all the furniture and equipment within the cottages.

The stay at The Stables was excellent. Welcoming greetings from Rachel, a tour of the cottage and a sponge cake waiting with plenty of milk in the fridge for a cup of tea.

The booklets and information regarding the cottage and surrounding areas were plentiful easy to understand and helpful.

The garden was delightful and if the weather had been better would have been used.

The stay at The Stables was ideal for us as we were part of a wedding party for our grand-daughter and being here allowed us to be involved but also retain our privacy.

If we ever need to be in the area in future The Stables would be on our 'stay' list.

Probably the best cottage we've ever stayed in. Spotless, very well apponted, everything you could need, even two lovely labradors across the very pretty communal area for my dogs to woof at! This is the perfect location to visit the glacial lakes of the Shropshire Lake District. We had daily walks around The Mere, followed by excellent coffee and cakes at the very good cafe/restaraunt, The Boathouse on the lake shore. Hope to go again in the not too distant future.

We stayed here for a long weekend and highly recommend a stay at the cottages. We took our dog and the facilities for her were excellent with an enclosed garden with hot and cold outside taps for cleaning muddy paws. The cottage was spotless and well appointed. The bed was very comfy and the ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating was ideal. We'll be going back for another visit!

A wonderful peaceful hideaway, just what we needed after Christmas. It was lovely to go to a quiet cottage with a really comfortable bed and lovely cotton bed linen. I appreciated the large fluffy bath sheet too!
The hosts were really friendly and there if we needed them.

We stayed in The Stable over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The cottage itself is modern, exceptionally clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed. The owners had provided a Christmas tree and decorations in the cottage which made it a real home from home. They were on hand if we needed them and very friendly. The cottage is completely dog friendly, ideal for our little dog as we could just let her out into the fenced garden when needed and know she could not escape. I can honestly say this is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in and hope to visit again soon.

Nicely decorated, thoughtfully planned cottage. Comfortable bed, lashings of hot water, and warm & friendly welcome from Rachel and the dogs! Only downside was the towel rail booster switch provided a bright blue light in the bedroom all night. I like to sleep in a dark room & couldn't find a way to turn it off, but I never got to mention it to Rachel so it might well have been fixable!

Our stay at Burlton Cottage was just perfect, from the minute we arrived the lovely owner Rachel greeted us made us totally feel welcome & at home, the home baked Victoria Sponge that was waiting for us was rather yummy thank you for that much appreciated. The Cottage is finished to such a high standard it was amazing & spotlessly clean, the little fenced garden was just perfect for our two little Bolognese pooches, they loved it too. We will certainly be staying again & will recommend it to all our family & friends.

An excellent short break holiday in The Stable - the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, everything we needed for our stay was provided. The enclosed area around the cottage was ideal for our dog and the small private area at the side of the cottage was a nice addition. Access to the adjacent farmland was appreciated by us all for our morning walks. the owner was very helpful and there was always someone available if needed.

An excellent property in a good location. All facilities were as described. Good food from the pubs in Loppington and Ellesmere. We visited a number of National Trust properties in the area and this was an ideal base for this activity. Plenty of opportunity for walks in the area as well.

A real home from home. We were made really welcome by Rachel and Jerry and had a wonderful relaxing stay. Well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances. A home-made cake together with tea and coffee waiting for us when we arrived. Our border collie was made really really welcome as well. She needed to see a vet whilst we were staying and Rachel organised a vet to the vets for us. We will definitely return, and would recommend without hesitation.

It was spotlessly clean and was well equipped with everything we needed for our short break. There were small details (which made it top places we have stayed previously) including the home made cake and the honesty box (although not needed, was an excellent idea). Cannot fault the cottages and the owners were extremely friendly. Will be recommending to everyone!!

It was excellent can't praise the accommodation and location enough. The owner Rachel was lovely, helpful and friendly and she had baked us a cake on arrival a very nice touch I thought.



Great few days in a lovely light and well stocked cottage.

We had a great few days in this lovely cottage on a working farm. We were warmly welcomed by Rachel. The parking is close and there's plenty of room. The Stable is separate to the other 2 lets and has lovely high ceilings in the living area and bedroom. The under floor heating keeps the property very warm. The kitchen is well stocked and we had no trouble cooking from scratch.

It's an easy drive to Ellesmere to the north and Shrewsbury to the south, both 15-20 minutes away. There is a supermarket at both.

I brought this cottage as a christmas gift for my Dad and his fiancé. They really enjoyed their stay at the cottage, said it was in a beautiful location, was beautifully decorated and the service they received was excellent. They are hoping to return to the cottage one day soon and I am already looking at a cottage break for myself.

Chose to stay at Burlton Cottages for our first stay in the area. We were absolutely delighted with the cottage, the area and with our welcome from Rachael, nothing was too much trouble for her.We have returned home feeling renewed.
