We just had a great week at The Cottage. Both the property and the area are a very welcome respite from the craziness of London (and the people you meet are actually friendly...). Peter was as good host: There when you need him but without being intrusive. Our little Jack Russell loved the outdoors: The field behind the cottages is great for shorter walks and there are many location in the Beacons for the longer walks (and the Gower peninsula is also within reach if you want a bit of beach). The cottage itself was really good: a smart layout with all the things you need including a big sofa...more
Lovely to go a quality dog friendly property, often 1 beds are small but this was a great size with enough room for 2 adults and our 2 staffies. The Laundry had every conceivable kitchen acrutement, lovely large sofa in living room, and huge door leading out to private enclosed garden. Super king size bed and a gorgeous bathroom. To top it all the complex had a very large enclosed field where the dogs could run to their hearts content in safety. In a beautiful area with stunning views. Needless to say we will be back!
I have just returned from my second visit and it was just as I remembered; comfort, beauty and bliss! The cottage is beautifully furnished, yet cozy and warm, and is well equipped with everything I needed so I only had to arrive with clothes and food. The location is in easy reach of towns, and the most beautiful countryside. It's also so peaceful; ideal for days curled up with a book or resting the afternoon away. Peter is on hand if needed, but not intrusive in anyway. The perfect retreat from the noisy, demanding world.
Very quaint cottage - everything you would need is here including Netflix to catch up on TV in the evenings including films! The kitchen is great with everything you would need. A lovely lounge with a wood fire (in colder months) with an excellent TV in case the weather is unkind - with small dining table which is perfect! .Upstairs - lovely bathroom with walk in shower, twin bedroom and finally a master bedroom - the only downside is that if you are tall the ceiling could be a problem, as it has a sloping roof, I had to keep bending down getting to my side of the bed. The owner was very h...more
Loved our holiday at The Coach. The cottages are in an outstanding location - very peaceful and with walking from the door. Very stylishly furnished with everything you could possibly need and also immaculately clean. We were very lucky to have hot, sunny weather and would have preferred a summer weight duvet as it was very warm at night but that is a minor point that did not detract from our holiday. In fact we loved The Coach so much we have already booked for next year.
