The Cider Mill is a 5 Star Gold and Rose Award 2025 winning cottage on one level save for one small step up into the porch and similarly from the sitting room down onto the terrace. It is surrounded by a large, enclosed, beautiful and mature garden and situated in a peaceful hamlet. The Cider Mill overlooks farmland and the Breacon Beacons in the distance and is close to the apple cider orchards and River Wye. There is wonderful walking from the door to suit all abilities. There is a fabulous farm shop at the top of the lane which will enhance your stay!
We welcome small families or groups of 3 couples. There are 3 bedrooms with hypnos superking beds (zip and link). Each bedroom has its own bathroom or shower room and has luxurious 400 count egyptian linen and toiletries from Myddfai Trading who support social enterprise. The kitchen, sitting and dining room is spacious and brimming with light even on a dull day. There are 5 big windows and roof lights. The sitting room room faces south and has french doors onto a large terrace and the very pretty garden with mature borders. On the terrace is a soft seating area with sofa and chairs and also an additional dining area. During the summer months a weber style bbq and parasol are available.
The Red Lion at Bredwardine and Garden Cafe at Brobury House Gardens are within a good hours walk which is mainly off road. Canoeing on the Wye, fishing on the Wye, go karting at Weobley, visiting the village of Weobley and the wonderful book lovers town of Hay on Wye are enjoyed nearby. The Mappa Mundi in Hereford is fascinating and well worth a visit. Great selection of pubs and cafes to suit all budgets.
Wonderful cottage in peaceful and beautiful location which is very comfortable. Lots of local activities, adventures to be had and places of interest within 20 minutes.
