We drove from Llanelli, a 10 hour drive. The property and location are outstanding.The specification inside is excellent. More importantly for us the peaceful, whispering glen was magical. Sandie our booking agent was fantastic too.A treasured memory in a bath tub full of peat brown pure water with a wren on the tap. The islands are a must do especially the Slate Isles…12 hours back to Llanelli full of chatter of returning… Diolch o galon

Our stay was a very last-minute booking, and we truly struck gold! From the moment we arrived, we fully relaxed. The house is beautifully presented, well equipped, and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.
The spacious open-plan living area was perfect for spending time together, and the bedrooms are a great size and very comfortable. The outdoor sauna, hot tub, bath and pizza oven were absolute highlights—especially after a wet day out on the water.
The location is fantastic too, with Oban just a 10-minute drive away, making it an ideal base for exploring the area by car and boat.
We had an amazing week and can’t thank our hosts enough. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful property and are already looking forward to returning!

We were excited to stay in Penlarach having stayed here many times around 10-15 years ago and we were not disappointed. The new owners have done a fabulous job of upgrading and remodelling the house which is very comfortable and superbly appointed.

We had such a lovely stay at Penlarach and honestly didn’t want to leave!
The house is gorgeous and super comfortable—everything from the beds to the outdoor sauna, hot tub, and baths made it feel really special and relaxing. We spent loads of time hanging out in the kitchen and living area, which is perfect for a group. It was so fun watching the kids run between the hot tub and the cold water bucket! The views over the hills and down the glen are just beautiful too.
There was plenty of space for all 8 of us, plus our two dogs, who absolutely loved the outside space.
We’d definitely come back and would happily recommend it to anyone.

A lovely well equipped house that had everything we needed and beautifully furnished.
Fantastic outdoor space with wood burning hot tub, baths and sauna ( the water bucket was a big hit).
The best bit was the spectacular view across the Glen .
Will definitely be back.
