We had such a lovely stay and would highly recommend staying here. The place was spotless and set in a wonderfully quiet location, with birdsong all around from the surrounding trees. The bed was really comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We made great use of the fire both inside and out, as well as the pizza oven. The outdoor bath was a perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommend walking over to The Barn for dinner and drinks. We loved paddle boarding to the Knipoch Hotel for lunch. We drove from Llanelli, a 10 hour drive. The property and location are outstanding.The specification inside is excellent. More importantly for us the peaceful, whispering glen was magical. Sandie our booking agent was fantastic too.A treasured memory in a bath tub full of peat brown pure water with a wren on the tap. The islands are a must do especially the Slate Isles…12 hours back to Llanelli full of chatter of returning… Diolch o galon
We booked a stay at Saltspring for a weekend away to coincide with the Clipper Race start. Excellent comms from West Coast Cottages in advance and the property was better than the description and photos suggested. House was spotless on arrival. Generous living dining kitchen area with the kitchen being well appointed and all that you can ask for, even champagne flutes! The bedroom we used was well sized and en suite was really well finished with great water pressure. Lovely cottage in a very quiet location just 10 minutes from Oban. Well equipped kitchen and excellent facilities over all. Lovely welcome pack when we arrived. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely stay in the beautiful apartment, spacious, everything you can think of was supplied. Beautiful view and no bother from the restaurant downstairs at all!
We have stayed at this cottage at least four times during the last decade. The fact that we keep returning says everything about its location, amenities, and cleanliness.
Feochan Bheag was the perfect place for our family holiday. The location is simply wonderful, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, yet only a short drive from Oban and everything we needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped and felt like a real home from home. We especially loved the secure garden, which was ideal for our dogs, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and making special family memories. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Feochan Bheag and would love to return in the future.
Overall a great stay in a comfortable and well equipped house. Car essential as road not suitable for walking into Oban, especially for families with young children. Oban and the surrounding area have much to offer without having to drive too far. The sauna is good but the wood fired hot tub requires planning ahead to use - it takes hours to heat. In the main the property was clean but some areas are lacking attention to detail such as dusty skirting boards and patio door tracks. Tigh Beg is a complete one-off. The location and setting of the cottage is just perfect. Days spent on the patio, watching the sea, hearing the birds and basking in the tranquil setting just pass by effortlessly. Seals, otters, sea eagles, buzzards and sea birds frequently join you throughout the day, along with wonderful birdsong from all the trees and shrubs surrounding you. The property is well equipped for 4 people staying and is in generally very clean and tidy. Having the porch with dishwasher is a bonus as you are remote and need to bring plenty of supplies and cook a lot of the time...more
