4 The Clockhouse is a first-floor apartment set in the heart of Midhurst market town. With its own parking space around the back, you couldn’t be in a better spot to enjoy this historic village. Within easy walking distance are the Cowdray ruins, one of England’s most important Tudor homes, visited once by Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII. If you’re a fan of polo, Midhurst is a prime spot to be in the spring season as well.

Very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this wonderful apartment right in the centre of this beautiful little market town. The property had more than enough room, was very clean and the facilities were excellent.
Parking and access to the property was easy, although having to wait for the electronic gates to close before you can park in the allocated space is somewhat annoying as they take an age to close.
Overall we loved this stylish, elegant apartment and we will definitely return, highly recommended.

The flat is in a lovely building which even though it is on the main road as it doesn't suffer from road noise. The one parking space allocated to the flat is only suitable for a small car. The decription of the car park entry button is incorrect in the information. There is no entry to the building from the car park. The only access is via the front door.

There is no information in the flat - rubbish/recycling (although there is a recycling calendar - but no where to put it. We ended up taking all our rubbish home)/facilities in Midhurst/ How things work in the flat e.g. heating. It seemed as though the boiler kept starting throughout the day.
The items in the flat are tired. The seals on both the fridge and freezer are coming away from the doors and the inside of the fridge looked stained. Many of the items of crockery have chips and there are only 2 teaspoons. We didn't use the oven, microwave, dishwasher or washing machine.

The sofa is tired and uncomfortable. There were no batteries in the dvd remote. Wasn't able to use the newly installed wifi.
In the bedroom the wooden base of the bed sticks out beyond the matress restricting space around the bed. Mattress uncomfortable. Space is also restricted by bookcases in the room. The was no lightbulb in one of the bedside lamps.

The shower, due to the shape of the shower enclosure, access is limited and may not be suitable for everybody.



A well-designed flat conveniently in the middle of Midhurst.

The flat provided pleasant, comfortable and adequate accommodation for our stay and was very convenient being in the middle of the town.

However - several downsides would deter us from staying there again which is a shame because it was a lovely flat but not properly provisioned for holiday rental.

1. The parking was difficult to say the least and if there had been a car in the next space or more cars in the car park, we would not have been able to access the allotted parking space which was in the corner behind the gates. Helpful neighbours showed us which one it was.
2. It was not ideal we had to carry all our bags round to the front door.
3. The bed was not at all good. It was like sleeping on a jelly, there being two springy mattresses (one on top of the other) on a slatted base that was not secured. We actually righted the base which made some difference. Underneath the bed was a large stepladder and children's toys such as hula hoops.
4. There was no wi-fi or a folder with information for the flat and the town. No re-cycling instructions and only one bin provided.
5. Very poor provision of crockery and (especially) glasses. There was not enough for us to use the dishwasher but there was no plug in the basin nor a bowl for washing up either.
6. It was unfortunate that there was a dog in one of the other flats that barked a great deal during the day which made relaxing in the flat difficult.

A lovely little spot to stay in Midhurst. Nice and convenient. With a couple of touches it would take it from good to great. I'd definitely recommend to others.

Great location, very nice neighbours. Flat was well equipped and very comfortable although several lights in living room and bedroom didn't work. The instructions on arrival paperwork for gate opening were not clear, neighbours were very helpful and said it happens a lot with flat 4 visitors.. No direct access to building, have to haul luggage along a side street. The lack of WiFi was very disappointing and scored a low mark for value for money.

Great place to stay and spacious. Generally clean, but a bit dusty in the corners/ venetian blinds etc. Bed was comfortable but very low - a bit of a struggle to get up from if you are no longer in the first flush of youth! Wardrobe shelves are full of linen - would be great to make at least a couple free for guests to use

Service was generally good all via email - but instructions for parking space could be clearer - none of the spaces are numbered and ended up in wrong space as wasn't clear it was actually the one behind the gate. Instructions on driving in, waiting for gate to close etc. would have been helpful . Also instructions could have been clearer on which button inside the gate to press!

Sitting room very comfortable with great sofa to lounge on. Good sized TV . Kitchen diner great size with plenty of facilities. It would be good if at least one cupboard could be cleared of the owner's possessions to make space for a larder/store cupboard
Glasses, crockery, cutlery etc could do with a refresh. What is there is a bit limited and showing its age a bit.

A welcome pack for the flat which could also include instructions for appliances, where the dustbins are etc would be a good idea for holiday lets

Overall though very enjoyable stay and would definitely use again

We were asked to delay entry for extra cleaning only to find when we entered the property it had not been cleaned.
We made contact with Henry Adams and the boss of the cleaning company arrived within the hour who was shocked at the condition we had found it in and they then gave the flat a thorough clean and then left it in a satisfactory condition for us to start our holiday.
At this time of covid 19 restrictions we felt that the flat was very cluttered with the owners belongings which would not have been there.
We do have to say that our complaint was handled very well by the Henry Adams staff.

A pleasant stay at the Clockhouse. Comfy bed and very quiet despite its useful position in the Main Street so we took advantage of shops and inns around. Really nice flat, but no WiFi and almost impossible to park an suv in the designated spot. Needs a mirror in the bedroom!!

I stayed in The Clockhouse for a month whilst waiting to move to my new home. I was pleasantly surprised by the space and light. The agent was very accommodating and I thoroughly recommend both the agent Henry Adams and this property.

Last minute booking for this superb character apartment, right in the centre. Better than the photos. Bed a bit on the low side, but comfortable. Not advertised as having WiFi - which I didn’t notice when I booked. However we could get BT WiFi-fon on a paid service - so we could get on line. Well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The bed was uncorfortable and the apparment is good but no like the pictures that show in the web site.
