10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Pebblestone is an incredibly well-equipped apartment which is located very near East Wittering beach. Jan has thought about everything - everything you could possibly need is there and it is a really comfortable stay. We have now stayed at Pebblestone twice and have already booked to come back! Jan’s communication is excellent and really cares about her guests having a proper, restful holiday.
We had such a fantastic stay at this gorgeous annex in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to switch off and recharge. The annex itself was spot on, clean, comfortable, and really well thought out, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making it feel welcoming and homely. What really made the experience stand out though were the hosts. They were genuinely lovely and incredibly attentive to our needs without ever being intrusive, a perfect balance. Nothing w...more
This is now our third stay here and it offers a peaceful break in a good location. There is all you need and it is very comfortable, will be back again next year.
Delightful cottage for a short stay, good walks around the area and walkable to Emsworth to access supermarkets and coffe shops
The house is exactly as the photos show. It was in great condition, kitchen has everything you need, beds are comfortable. We had a lovely stay.
Long Meadow is a wonderfully comfortable cottage in a beautiful part of the world. We had everything we needed and were really cosy during our winter break. The views from the bedroom are stunning and it’s perfectly located to enjoy the South Downs National Park in all its beauty. We hope to be back soon!
A very comfortable and well equipped shepherds hut. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with good local pub, chairs to sit out in the sun and great shower and hot water. Highly recommended.
The accommodation itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The penthouse was clean, warm when necessary and furnished and fitted in a satisfying modern style. The location was perfect for exploring Arundel and equally so for walking in the countryside. We had a four day stay there and not once did we need to use the car. There is a path from the railway station directly into Arundel. The same path connects with the River Arun paths which can then take you north or south. The walk to Amberley along the Arun is lovely and the return trip made easy by using the rail connection.
Just the perfect place to relax. This cottage is beautifully arranged and furnished with all you could wish for. Everything always looks and feels as new. Extremely comfortable with a sweet garden to sit in. Wonderful at this time of year with scented roses around the kitchen window. Hosts are on hand for a friendly chat and look after us so well. We love it and have already booked our fourth stay here.
Excellent accommodation on a quiet street but only a short walk from the sea. The owner was very friendly and on hand if needed. We had meals out in two local restaurants again within in walking distance. There is a lot to see and do and in the short time we were here we visited Chichester Cathedral, West Wittering beach and the Weald and Downland Living Museum. The weather could have been kinder but we enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend Caedwalla House.
The Priory Coach house is beautiful, spacious, cosy and homely. My family; grandmother, 2 daughters and 1 son, their partners and kids stayed here for Christmas and had the best week. Lou, the owner, was in contact in plenty of time before our stay to ensure that we would have everything we needed upon arrival. The house was wonderfully decorated for Christmas, trees and lights and tasteful Christmas decor throughout. The rooms were warm and spacious, the shared spaces were roomy yet cosy, the kitchen was well stocked and the grounds were great for exploring and enjoying toasting marshmallows ...more
A pleasant cottage in a beautiful location with a nice enclosed front and back garden and stunning sunsets visible from the kitchen window. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and the nearby bluebell woods. The kitchen was easy to use, and a mixing bowl or two would make it even better. Property management staff were very helpful, as were the property's owners. We would happily stay again!
Stayed here for the week for Goodwood Festival of Speed. Great place to stay. Immaculate and everything provided for our stay. The living room did get quite warm but, then again we were here during a heatwave. Not a huge problem as we were out for most of the day. There was a fan in the bedroom though which was great. We'll definitely consider coming back here to stay.
Everything perfect. Except for tecky things like working TV and heating not clear enough instructions for the non-tecky of this world. But 5 out of 5 for everything else.
A super little bolt-hole in the West Sussex countryside. It’s small but that was clear from the photos when we booked, but it is very warm and comfortable for a couple. Facilities were fine, there’s a gas hob and microwave but no oven, so bear this in mind if you’re planning to self cater. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. It was easy to find with the instructions provided, just be aware it is down a very narrow lane though that was not a problem, parking is fine.
This townhome is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location, a short stroll to the promenade/beach and close to the pier, shopping, cafes, and mini golf. Lovely sea views from the living room and main bedroom which we were not expecting and a nice courtyard garden too. Lots of books and games provided, bicycles, loads of information on what to see/do. Very quiet residential area despite its proximity to everything which was a plus. The owner popped round to say hallo and make sure all was okay, which was a nice touch. Would be very happy to stay again.
This is such a beautiful house with wonderful views in gorgeous little town. It was so much more that we expected and perfect for our group. It ticks every box! We had amazing weather too, which was the cherry on top. The team at Henry Adams are super responsive and helpful - a big thank you to all. Definitely keen to return some time
Very comfortable cottage with easy access to Chichester and Witterings. Great country side setting and lovely owners
This is the third year we have booked this accommodation. Our team enjoy staying at The Parlour Emsworth due to its cleanliness and self catering ability unlike staying at a Hotel. It is ideally placed for their local commute and we would happily recommend staying here.
This was our third annual visit to stay, which in itself speaks volumes. The house is stunning and in beautiful surroundings with excellent facilities. The kitchen in particular has everything you could wish for. I had made an error in booking for a Sat - Tues and despite Henry Adam’s advising this could not be changed the owner very kindly agreed to allow us to amend to a Fri - Mon booking. The WiFi, which had been excellent on our previous stays, did not work unless we were in the room with the router. This was only an issue on our final night when we wanted to watch tv. After messag...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at Elm Lodge, in particular its situation in a peaceful, wooded area where we were able to watch spring unfold and observe many varieties of birds. The lodge was clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a great location for visiting Bosham and the surrounding area. This was our second visit and we will be returning!
The house was comfortable and well placed to access many of the places to visit such as Fishbourne Palace. The house is on three floors and is excellent for a couple or up to a family of six. There are two parking places which are easily accessed and the property is in a quiet area away from the main road. There is a secluded outside area which is pleasant to sit in at the end of a day or if you prefer to sit indoors there is a comfortable lounge. I recommend this property and would certainly stay there again.
Castleton is an annexe to a pretty cottage in north Chichester. The accommodation is very good, it has served us well for both our visits. The location is excellent for the city and for walks to Lavant and around.
A lovely cottage, all home comforts provided for plus extras which all added up to make our stay at Little Crossways very enjoyable. Wendie was there to welcome us and say goodbye, plus extremely helpful when needed during our stay. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Cottage was warm and plenty of hot water for showers etc (unlike some places we have been to elsewhere), very pretty garden to look out on and enjoy when the sun shone. We will definitely recommend staying here.
Great walks from the property without needing to use the car and good pubs nearby. Enclosed garden for dogs.
Good base for touring the area. Comfortable and well equipped house and the welcome pack was a nice welcoming touch.
I recently spent an extended stay at the Nest which was very enjoyable and set in lovely grounds as part of the main house. Clare the owner was extremely helpful and around to help with any issues. The accommodation is modern with very good facilities including the added benefit of the use of the gardens. Highly recommend staying there.
We stayed at the stables for one week. The place was very beautiful and had all the facilities we needed, except for a coffee maker. The large kitchen with lots of utensils made it easy to prepare food. One minor detail was the lighting: in the evening, the available lights were quite bright. Smaller, cozier lights could greatly improve the ambiance.
We had a great stay in this fantastic property - a perfect place for our family gathering. The property is in a perfect location, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The host was also lovely and very responsive to our enquiries. We will be back!
We loved our stay at Millside it had everything you needed. We had problems with the tv when we arrived but that was soon sorted by the lovely owner. Great to have the little extras like milk & bread left for us and soap etc supplied. Great for watching the wildlife in the garden, rabbits woodpeckers and the resident hedgehog who crossed the garden every evening going foraging. Only an 8 minute walk to The Bosham Inn for Great food.
We really enjoyed our short stay at Steddles. The house was very comfortable and clean. The facilities were very good and perfectly matched our needs. The location in Chi was perfect and very convenient. Just a quick note: we could not get the pedestrian gate to open.
If you like modern design with all mod cons then this is the place for you! Situated in the town centre but off the beaten track the cottage was very quiet at night despite being near a pub. All amenities are walkable from the cottage and parking in front of the property was a bonus.
Have stayed in both of the Vellum Court apartments, #2 this time, and once again an excellent stay. Well appointed, warm and comfortable with plenty of kitchen cutlery and crockery - all that you could ask for. We will be looking to stay again
It's a lovely place to stay and the fox family in the garden every day was an added bonus! There are 2 things which I think would have made the stay even better - a small bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival and some hooks behind doors, particularly in the bathroom and somewhere in the hall.
This cottage is so lovely, loved the dog pack too which was a nice touch, great walk from the door towards harbour. Lovely enclosed garden so safe for your dogs. Loved all the lamps. Great stay over all, would recommend.
The property is a spacious, modern house with very comfortable beds and a large sitting room area. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a breakfast bar as well as the dining table. There are two spacious ensuite bathrooms plus a separate shower room and a separate washroom, all with nice fluffy towels. Our party included two small guests (aged 4 and 2) who were thrilled by the selection of toys and books available (and there are books and toys for older kids too) and there is a small enclosed rear garden which was great for them to play out in. There was enough room at the front of the ho...more
Practical and pleasant cottage. We all enjoyed our stay. It was warm! Important for out of season stays. One snag was that we didn't find the heating instructions at first as in unusual position on wall behind kitchen door. Further from the beach than expected. It's actually 25mins of rather dull walk or you have to drive and pay £7. But there are pleasant short walks on footpaths very close and one of them does give access to the beach - slightly further than going down the road but a better bit of beach for swimming.
Love staying at this very nicely renovated house. So good to be close to the town and so near the sparkling water. It really is waterfront’
A lovely house and garden. Perfect location for exploring West Sussex. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Thank you for our fourth stay in this ideal accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil setting. It has become our ‘go to’ venue for an annual family get together thanks to the high standards of the facilities and cleanliness. The owners, neighbours and staff at Henry Adams are all charming and helpful, adding to the welcome and the ‘home from home’ feel to our stays.
Such a lovely place to stay, clean and everything we needed for our short stay. So close to the sea plus walking distance to the town. Debbie was very welcoming. We will be back!
Access was easy. Off road parking is available and very welcome. The property is spacious, light and airy. Well appointed kitchen. Plenty of hot water. Surprisingly quiet at night, yet close to sea front. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.
Overall Happy Days accommodation was very comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the crockery needs a little updating as there quite a lot of chipped plates and mugs, and a few of the towels had seen better days.
Loved it. All home comforts provided and a great place to stay. Lots of quirky touches too. Fabulous!
Great cottage for a stay in West Sussex. Good location with off road parking. Peaceful and cosy with comfortable beds and good shower. TV not a Smart one and internet reception a bit hit and miss but not a problem. Would stay again if in area.
This cottage had everything we could possibly need and we were very happy to stay. It has excellent amenities and though its location is rural, distances to plenty of places to visit are small. This area is a cycling paradise and we really enjoyed transporting our bikes to the varied routes in the area of Portsmouth and Chichester etc. Our bikes were very safe in the garden of the cottage due to the gated community. There is so much more I would like to do in this area... Another time. The host was extremely attentive when we had a boiler breakdown and it was repaired before we returned fro...more
A very lovely holiday house right by the sea. I swam a mile every day (watch out for slight rip tides). Mostly cooked in the house but enjoyed chips at Paddy's Plaice. Great walks and swims. Interesting high street with what looked like good pubs *The Seal". Had a few drinks at the Lifeboat and watched the lifeboat shanty singers sing both at the lifeboat station and then afterwards at the pub. Very nice time in Selsey.
We have been coming to this wonderful cottage for over two decades and it never fails to delight us. Guy and Alison are fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The garden is an oasis of calm and tranquility. There is so much to do in the surrounding countryside for families, couples or individuals visiting. We are still finding new things to enjoy!! It provides the best of both worlds - combining proximity to Ringmer and Lewes, (providing all the conveniences of village/town life,) whilst also being in the midst of the countryside (feeling remote and blissfully calm.) Can’t fault it! 10/...more
Very spacious, well equipped accommodation. Clean, well maintained, and with good quality appliances. Great central location. We would stay there again.
Nice bungalow in a great location. Very quiet and close to amenities. Enjoyed our stay. Could benefit from some blackout curtains in the twin bedded room. Some cleaning materials would be useful.
The reason for the visit was to attend some family and friends events. This was made complete by the quality of our accomodation at Sparrow Cottage. Lovely quiet setting, convenient for local Co op, pubs and Indian restaurant. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommended. Frank
Our third week-long stay. We love it here. The location, view from the sofa & balcony, facilities - everything!
The Cloisters is an amazing cottage, a hidden gem. It is so close to all amenities, a short drive to see lots of stuff but you also don’t need to use your car as there is plenty to see and do. The courage is well equipped, very comfortable. We have been twice now, it is one of my very favourite places try stay and I love the fact that it’s within the cathedral grounds.
We have stayed at Little Barn 3 times now because it is in such a lovely location and the owners are helpful and relaxed. We would highly recommend it.
Lovely stay Children loved the pool Adults loved the hot tub The rooms were perfect The beds were comfy. The owners left eggs, biscuits and bread as a welcome gift. Much appreciated Easter egg hunt in the front lawn was perfect and even the frogs came to say hello
This a superb cottage with everything we needed to self cater and enjoy this beautiful Cathedral city. The kitchen was well equipped and maintained. Everything was clean and the lounge area very comfortable. An excellent walk in shower and very comfortable bed.
We had a lovely weeks stay at Red Oaks. Lovely place and beautiful surroundings. Woke every morning and sat outside and relaxed listening to the bird song.
A deceptively large house which has been beautifully updated. The back dining/kitchen area is lovely. Cute courtyard garden. The car park space is very small and difficult to access. Very close to town centre which was great. Easy to walk into town. Would stay again.
A great little base for exploring, lgreat hosts, such a lovely couple. The accommodation was comfortable, clean everything you need. A lovely wood burner gives the Dairy a warm and cosy atmosphere, especially when everything was frosty outside. A very relaxing stay, thank you.
This is our second bit to Culver End and Felpham. We love the cottage and the ares. Lots of space for us to be separate and together. We will be back
This property was perfect for us, the location spot on only 2 mins to the Station and all the amenities in town. The property is fairly new and everything inside reflected that. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We were just missing 2 items, that I thought the property should have, a cafetiere and a hairdryer, maybe they could be added for our next visit as we would definitely return. Thanks a great stay.
A beautiful, clean cottage that was amazingly equipped with everything we could need. A great space for a family of four with lots of luxurious touches. We used it as a base to explore the south coast area of Sussex. Highly recommend!
We had another lovely stay at Tabernacle Cottage. We love the location as can go for lots of lovely coastal walks from here. Walking distance to a coffee shop (across the road) and restaurant at Chichester Marina! A great spot!
We had a wonderful week staying at Seasidings. The location was fantastic. The weather was beautiful. The house was quirky and interesting. It had everything we needed for a great family get together.
We had an amazing stay. Bob and Liz were lovely and friendly hosts, provided a really nice breakfast and a nice, tasteful welcome package in the fridge. The authentic cottage was a lovely and peaceful place to stay, well renovated and well accomodated. As is the case in most cottages, some of the beams and ceilings are quite low, so watch your head. The walks on the grounds between the bluebells are an absolute must in spring. In the nearby area the places to visit are Plaw Hatch Farm, Bluebell Vineyards and Kew Wakehurst. We fully recommand this cottage if you like a nice and peaceful holi...more
The property is very comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped. It is in a nice quiet location, within easy reach of Emsworth, Havant, Bosham and Chichester by car. The Cafe Moka and Blooms Cafe (behind Blooms B&B Hotel) in Emsworth, are excellent for freshly cooked lunchtime food, good service and friendly staff. Can recommend. We feel that the owners’ information file should advise guests that the TV WiFi Receiver should not be placed between the back of the TV and the wall behind it, as this causes the picture to ‘break up’ Apart from this, the house is perfect for a lovely holiday...more
This is a perfect house for families getting together who live near and far . It is a well designed house with everything you can possibly need eg games , dog blankets , towels for the beach , all mod cons and a perfect size kitchen and lounge . Loved the massive TV . And the dog hamper and Christmas gifts were a lovely touch and Christmas decorations were superb . A perfect house we will be back xx
Great location, can not fault anything will return. Only thing i would have liked was a later check out, but understand reason for vacating the premises at 10.00am.
What a find. Right on Chichester Marina and Birdham pool Marina. The area around was lovely in a private community. The house was amazing , lovely presented ,comfy bedrooms, kitchen fully equipped. We would definitely go again and recommend . The only reason I have ticked a 4 for cleanliness was that there were a couple of things the oven door was stained obviously overlooked and a dirty cup in downstairs bathroom but apart from that no other issues. Also we would have liked perhaps a small welcome pack..milk/biscuits/bread as other properties we have visited usually provide this. Saying ...more
We had an amazing stay at the cottage! Everything was perfect-cozy, clean, and welcoming. The host was so kind and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
The Stables are close to all the amenities of Chichester and the wonderful West Wittering beaches. Fantastic property if you have a dog, with a huge area of accessible land on the property for your walks. Lovely hosts live in an adjacent cottage.
Very nice location and perfect for a short stay. Minor criticism the settee is very uncomfortable and one of the beds, the one without en-suite needs sorting as you roll into middle. Luckily I was not sleeping in it
Excellent location virtually on the seafront and in a very quiet street. Sitting room small for 6 adults, bedrooms and shower rooms good, shops and good restaurants in easy reach.
The cottage was very spacious for two and was generally in very good condition and comfortable. It was described in the details as "recently converted" which might mislead some people as there were some indications that it had been done a while. Our host was very helpful but not intrusive. The property was very convenient for many attractions in the area but is also in some beautiful countryside ideal for walking and exploring. We would certainly use it again if we were to revisit the area in the future.
My colleagues enjoyed their stay whilst on a training project in the town. Fab location with good facilities - we will be back,
Wisteria Way was a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation itself is perfect for a couple and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, it had a lovely separate lounge/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen as well that included a full sized fridge and washing machine/dryer. There was plenty of storage, and a nice outdoor seating area. It was in excellent condition and quite stylish. I stayed there for nearly 3 weeks and it always felt like a nice place to come back to. There is a lot to see locally, with a number of amazing attractions close by. I was also able to do a regular loc...more
Me and my mum loved our week away. The flat was in a perfect location with a gorgeous view. Very comfortable seating and beds and well equipped kitchen. Great and quick communication with owner. Didn't want to leave and would definitely recommend and choose again if we are back in the area.
This was my second stay at Shires Barn. When I walked in the first time I knew I wanted to go back, and I arranged a gathering of 12 for a birthday weekend. There is so much space - with 3 separate sitting areas and two garden spaces, there are lots of opportunities for a bit of quiet time if needed, but equally, the main communal space is perfect for eating, chatting, drinking and, it turns out, a silent disco! Copious parking, really well furnished and comfortable accommodation, lovely gardens, and all a short drive from the coast or Chichester. I can't recommend Shires Barn highly...more
While I would love to give this home a good review a number of maintenance issues regarding French doors not closing properly, Blinds would not open in upstairs bedroom. Sink was slow to drain. The downstairs bed was very uncomfortable and was held up by a metal pole underneath bed frame. The garden sadly was overgrown and untidy with flowers wilted in containers. Having said all this we did enjoy our time in Elmer village a lovely spot for a family holiday. I would recommend this property if all the maintenance issues sorted as it is a lovely place for large family gatherings. .
Compass Cottage is so cosy and feels like home. The location on the mill pond is perfect and within close walking distance to Emsworth village.
This was our third visit to Marie’s Cottage & we had a wonderful time, just as the last couple of times we stayed there. It has improved on the cleanliness and the carpets, cushions etc looked like they’d been cleaned, but the smaller things, such as descaling the taps have been overlooked; However, as I said in my previous review, we still love it there. The location is perfect for our group’s needs & we will certainly be going back again. There was no reason for us to call the Agency for anything, but I have no doubt they would have addressed any issue immediately. We were lucky that we wer...more
A comfortable cottage perhaps not recommended to dog owners as lacking an enclosed garden area. Was surprised that some expected items were not supplied as would normally expect these. ie hairdryer, umbrella.
We had a lovely 5 days stay. Excellent location and great enclosed garden. We were a family girls group and there was plenty of room in the property for us all not to be on top of each other! Very well equipped kitchen. Will be back!
This accommodation is sub-par. Although clean enough, it is badly lit and care worn. We had no landing light all week and when we changed the bulb, it still wouldn't work. All the bedding needs replacing as it is thin and old and there is a horrible rusty old loo roll holder in the bathroom which needs throwing out. The place is generally badly lit ans gloomy. It feels like nobody cares about the place or about the poor people who spend their main holiday of the year there... We had to wade through ankle deep water to get ot the car after several showers - the parking area needs redeveloping ...more
I really enjoyed staying in this property, I had an extended stay with my three boys, it’s local to their school and they had a friend who was living next door. The property was very comfortable and clean throughout and suited our needs. The owner was contactable and helped us out when needed. I would recommend this property to my friends
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at Spence Cottage with our dog and had a lovely time. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Birdham Pool and Chichester Marina are a 30 minute walk down the road and the witterings only a short drive. We would definitely stay again!
Great house very comfortable. Everything you need. Would stay again. Quiet neighbourhood. No issues at all.
Frankland House is situated right in the heart of Emsworth village. Walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and the waterside. It has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms upstairs and a lounge, dining, kitchen & wc downstairs, with a small outdoor terrace and a free parking space. Reasonably appointed, and easy to live in... I loved my long-term residence there. Some parts are a bit tired - the dg windows have serious condensation issues, and the kitchen lacks a microwave. However, as a short-term holiday home, it's great value. John is local, and very friendly and responsive to issues. Thoroughly...more
Family of four plus 10 month old Smooth Collie stayed 5 nights. As per pictures spotlessly clean and spacious enough for us to put up the dog pen in sitting room. Lucky with the weather the hot tub was a bonus as was the outdoor furniture. Everything you need in the kitchen although dishwasher didn't seem to work and there was no manual to be found. We didn't do much cooking so it wasn't a problem. Well located for pub, pebbly beach and walks.
A comfortable and spacious bungalow which is clean and well resourced. We had a lovely stay at Bracklesham Bay and keen to return next summer!
We stayed here as we were delayed moving into a property on the Island. Location great and felt quite private to the owners house. Clean, comfortable and a very pleasant stay.
Was a great spot within easy distance of Midhurst. Only complaint is the difficulty in turning right on Petersfield Rd but turned left and went down June Lane. The cost of the place was high but the value was there.
Very clean lines to this property but very sparse on furniture. Very hot inside when it's sunny due to windows in roof which I believe don't open?, and due to its location the property sits in sun most of day so the inside is only cool in morning and evening. The shower also is either hot or cold, and you can't seem to regulate the temperature as the water pressure then drops if you add too much hot or cold. The bed/sofa in the lounge area is also hard and uncomfortable, I spent most of my time sitting on the chairs on the balcony.
Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!
Lovely house. Lots of room for 2 couples with 2 kids and great outside space. Can walk to E wittering and v easy to get to West by car.
We loved spending Christmas in Dolphin Cottage, it was exactly what we hoped for. The kitchen is fantastic, perfect for cooking a big meal with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting by the cosy wood burners after a chilly walk along the beach. The garden looks beautiful although we didn't use it as it was winter. Comfortable beds and really nice bathroom. Also brilliant communication with Henry Adams Holiday Cottages who were super helpful and kind. Thanks for the Christmas decorations too! It is a gorgeous place to stay.
Thank you for a very comfortable stay. The house was well prepared for our visit and clean and tidy. There is plenty of space and ample reception rooms for a sociable and comfortable break with friends and family. Sea views were something special. Location on the outskirts of Bognor Regis town centre with plenty of eateries and shops. Roomy off road parking. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Thank you!
The property was in a fantastic location, with excellent views. The pair of little grebes on the pond were a joy to watch. The property was within easy reach of the town centre, which has much to offer. The property was clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa was not comfortable if you have the slightest back issue (style over function), but we didn't spend that much time on it. We enjoyed the balcony, and peace and quiet of the location. We will be back!
House was very warm and cosy and we had a comfortable stay and would recommend it. Just a couple of points to bring to your attention for the benefit of others. The bed in the spare single room we assume had a broken base so there was a piece of MDF under the mattress which we caught our leg on a couple of times. The back door was hard to lock amd unlock. Some of the pots and pans were damaged or not thorughly cleaned by the previous occupants perhaps and under the beds could do with a hoover and tidy as we found out when trying to hide Xmas presents! All minor points so hope this is helpful....more
We had a lovely 3 day break at Costal. The house and location is perfect for a family get together, house is child friendly with an enclosed sunny garden, and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. There’s games and toys for the children and even boogie boards to take to the beach. If you need any help they respond with quickly.
The White House suited our needs for the weekend whilst attending a local wedding. The location was great and the setting really relaxing. We were a family of 6 adults and a baby so having the 5 bedrooms worked well. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the evening. However, points for consideration for future guest visits:- We only had tepid water in the ensuite and house bathroom so not ideal We did get a call saying the garden was overdue a lawn cut but it would have been nice to see this done prior to our arrival The recycling bins were absolutely full of bottles prior to our arr...more
Ems cottage is a lovely, spacious and comfortable bungalow with excellent access to walking paths into Westbourne and Emsworth. The Dolphin house was in a perfect location for our needs. Close to bus and train links, with the town centre just a few steps away. The house was quaint and full of character which I'm glad was kept. However the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Pillows were lumpyand the mattress too soft. The bed creaked everytime you moved. The duvet was not the right size for the duvet cover. There was also dust on all the glasses and the kitchen equipment and tools needed a good wash before using. There was also a build up of dust and fluff behind the settee and bedroom furniture. It was a sham...more
We recently stayed over the Christmas period 2025. Positives: comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and house, good location, nice welcome pack, made very festive for us. Not so positives: no instructions for the digital heating/water system or ensuite bath/shower digital system which failed to function correctly and subsequently could not be used. The SKY tv has very minimal channels and kept switching off mid programme, few areas needed more cleaning attention and finishing, few radiators in property not working/switched off. In particular we feel there should have been a manual supplied with...more
Very quant little cottage ideally positioned for Chichester town centre Would highly recommend for a holiday stay
The Cottage was homely and comfortable within a reasonable walk into the center. Very close to a very busy road but not too annoying as we were out most days from mid morning until late evening. All mod-cons in kitchen. Only drawback was the shower over the bath and no non-slip mat.
The beds were Very comfortable great nights sleep. Great living space well equipped kitchen. short walk to the beach.
In a sweltering week the shaded living room proved to be relatively cool and the car parking spot was in some much-appreciated shade. The short approach to the front door (in need of a fresh coat of paint) with its aggregation of dried leaves could do with some attention. But overall it was a delightful, well-equipped place to stay.Thoroughly recommended.
fantastic - lovely house, kids love it! been there many times and will hopefully still go back plenty!!
Good things: the apartment is right opposite the seafront, central to everything and has fab views. Beds are comfy. Showers powerful. Niggles that could be sorted to make this a good stay experience: the balcony areas are all quite tatty looking and there were no seat cushions, even though it said there were in the pack. The inside sofas are very small for the size of the room and have seen better days, various marks and scratches on them, furniture generally quite shabby. Kettle desperately in need of a descale. Sinks in the bathrooms are tiny, anytime water is run it splashes over the sid...more
The space was clean enough, convenient and private. There was lots of space for our family of 5. Overall the property was good it just needs some tlc. The kitchen floor boards look like some water damage has occurred in the past, the toilet seat is cracked and taped back together. These things didn’t cause us issues, the unit just needs a bit of maintenance and a good deep clean. Access to the unit upon arrival was easy. Would definitely stay again if we went back.
The impression we were left with as a result of a week here is that this company have NO interest in the experience of their holiday tenters. We arrived to a house with nothing as a welcome. Zero! Not even one sachet of milk for coffee after we’d travelled four hours! No explanatory notes about the house. Not even absolutely basic health and safety information about where the fire extinguishers were, where the nearest hospital is, and who to call in a medical emergency. The t.v. did not work on any live channels. Presumably because the company are saving money by only having the inte...more
We had a great stay in this lovely house. It was a bit hard to find, but once we got there, it was super. The beach, literally one minute away, was a great asset, but the location itself was also very relaxing, in a very calm, green and beautiful neighbourhood. A few cute squirrels kept us company. The house is very spacious and very clean. There were great tourist attractions in the vicinity. The gardens were larger than they looked on the pictures, and the back garden is completely private and all one needs on a nice day. We got immediate response when we reported a small issue with the dish...more
Stunning location with everything you could possibly need. Perfect for family and friends birthday celebration.
Molly and all the team at Henry Adams have been amazing we want to say a huge thank you and would highly recommend them.
The only issues were the garden at the back which was covered in weeds that were very old and looked shabby. My grandson couldn’t go out there because of the weeds in the patio area. This should be tied up and wouldn’t take long. The other thing to note is that the en-suite bedroom should have a mirror in the bedroom near to a socket to dry hair. The last thing was that there were no oven gloves. Having said this , we would stay here again as the cottage is very comfortable.
This tidy apartment has a well-organized kitchen. Perfect for a peaceful stay, offering both comfort and functionality in a serene environment.
I love this cottage and you pay to stay in a beautiful old cosy cottage which is steeped in history. The garden is delightful and you are very close to Middleton -on- sea village, with two or three pubs within walking distance and the beach 10 min walk away. . It is not for everybody. I have stayed before so knew what to expect. The cottage is small inside but cool on hot summer days. Access would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues and there is no room to eat at table inside. However there is a picnic bench in the garden and another little table and chairs so you can eat outside whe...more
The house had everything we needed, from cleaning products to bed linen, coffee, tea, ... The location is perfect, a quiet street with the beach, supermarkets, shopping street, ... just around the corner. There was no street noice and the garden was nice and calm. the only unfortunate thing was that the dishwasher was not working. The customer service replied immediately they could send someone to fix this, but we didn't here from this again before the end of our 6 night stay. Also, the temperature of the shower was hard to manage, being very hot mostly.
Enjoyed our stay - house in great location, plenty of parking great garden for dog. Bit Disappointed - When we arrived bins had not been emptied and there was a box of rubbish left in the kitchen - bedroom bins also not been emptied - beds seemed to be made but there was a throw placed underneath the duvet in one of the bedrooms - presuming left there by previous guests ? So not sure. Previous guests had left a note next to the co2 alarm with a battery out saying - new battery needed - which nobody had bothered with at changeover - could have been better.
Lovely accommodation. Reasonably well equipped for a few days although no hairdryer. No microwave. Comfy beds. Lovely bathrooms. Good parking provision. Excellent location in the town.
Beacon Square was a lovely location and had a fabulous garden, and good for a weekend if you don’t mind very basic accomodation. We were there for 5 months and found the furniture old and uncomfortable and general internals in need of deep clean and repaint. For £1000 a week it wasn’t value for money.. we couldn’t move again as we just came back from Australia and didn’t want to upset the dogs with another move .. So for one or two nights maybe, but anything longer I would suggest unless renovated and furniture updated I’d look elsewhere. Staff at Henry Adams were amazing, but neighbour...more
Lovely location - however it’s not really suitable for rental. The hot tap in the kitchen sink doesn’t work at all - nothing comes out of it? A mystery as the downstairs loo next door has plenty of hot water in the tap. Really inconvenient to wash up. Dishwasher doesn’t really clean properly. Aga is good but no shelves available to fit in the oven. Everywhere has peeling paint or chipped damaged wall paper. The showers are a disaster- the en-suite is taped together with masking tape with a feeble spray and the family bathroom shower drain - is blocked some how - so as soon as you have a shower...more
As the property was so uncomfortably hot and stuffy we felt unable to stay and left that evening. The master bedroom shore side had a sash window that only partially opened. The living room sash didn't open at all which meant you would have to keep the front door open instead. With a red heat alert forecast for the coming week we didn't think the property would.be habitable.
Overall, The Clock House in Midhurst was delightful, comfortable and clean. The one problem we had, was the shower. There was no shower mat, rubber or plastic, also there needs to be a grab handle on the tiles, lastly, also on the tiles somewhere to put shower gels etc. Apart from the last comments, a lovely stay Midhurst, Many thanks.
If you book this we will be jealous as we have had a fabulous time here, 8 minutes walk to beach 15 minutes to station/town, very quiet location wonderful neighbours, lovely sunny garden, heating worked lovely, obviously some minor maintenance needed but nothing to worry about or get in the way of your stay. Highly recommended Cheers Trevor and Paula
A very spacious and modern holiday home in a peaceful setting surrounded by fields and sheep. Brand new accommodation with a very handy brand new washing machine in the modern kitchen. We enjoyed our holiday here and would not hesitate to recommend it. Thank you!
Pros: Beautiful gardens, nice outside furniture, useful if weather is good. Great parking area. Bedrooms modest size, but each has quirky individually furnished style with repurposed period furniture. Bedding used is quality 100% linen with comfortable pillows and matches decor. Scatter cushion overload though. 3 out of 4 beds comfortable, but seem smaller than traditional King size. Kitchen appliances spotlessly clean, as was whole rental. Bathrooms excellent with limitless hot water for filling very large baths. Unique property in unique location. Excellent for a couple of nights stay espec...more
Pros - great location, near pub and nice coffee shop. Short walk to beach. Cons - not very clean on arrival, mould problem in bathroom, strong damp smell throughout property. Had planned to cook but found mould growing on wooden spoons and cobwebs on the pans - so ate out instead! Having read through the comments in the visitor book we could see these issues had been raised several times, so it’s disappointing they haven’t been addressed. Would not stay again.
Perfect location, well presented, comfortable and spacious. Like home from home. Will definitely book again.
We enjoyed our stay in Kingley, although felt that the property could do with some extra tlc, especially regarding carpets and window fittings. It would also have helped if there had been a sofa bed in the study, as we had two boys who did not wish to share a double bed and we had two girls in the twin bedded room.. A good size garden and patio, although lack of umbrellas meant that we needed to move the furniture around to avoid the (very hot) sun. Easy to access Chichester, the beach at W.Wittering and interesting places like Arundel, where the castle is a must see.
A very welcoming and comfortable cottage which was very well equipped. Having the benefit of good weather meant that we could make use of the pretty little garden and listen to and watch the birds over breakfast while enjoying the views over the downs. The Shed is well located just on the edge of Pulborough making numerous local attractions within easy reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The Loft was everything we needed for our family of four. The living room area was bright and well laid out. The kitchen contained everything we needed and more, and the bathroom was spacious for a holiday let. We used the pull out bed for our youngest… which was absolutely fine for him (it would be too short for anyone over 5 ft). Everything was as described. We loved the luxury of being able to pop down to the beach each morning… it felt even closer than it looks in the photo, and the little cafe on the beach (Salt) was great for morning breakfast treats! We would definitely stay again! Than...more
Party size 4 Adults and 2 children (3 &6). Bedrooms - none of the rooms had any hanging space, only chest of drawers. There was one large double bedroom, children’s room with three beds and one other bedroom which was so small could only accommodate one adult and that was tight. There is only one shower bathroom. Separate toilet up stairs. Cloakroom downstairs. Unfortunately when using the washing machine the filter was blocked making the machine unable to expel the water. Removing the filter flooded the utility room. The dryer - this also had the problem that the filter hadn’t been empti...more
This is a beautiful house in a wonderful location. The house was clean and tidy but, unfortunately, the 'Condition' review dropped to a lower rating for us. The barbecue was in such a greasy and dirty condition that we had to abandon our plans to eat barbecues in the fine weather. This was disappointing, especially as we had paid a premium price for our short stay.
We booked The Little House as a last minute break. The property is in a lovely location with a great outside pool, but the house itself would benefit from some TLC. There was no appliance or pool information readily available and some of the appliances were either damaged or not working fully. The cooker and BBQ had not been cleaned and the upstairs windows and glass kitchen roof were very dirty. For our first few days we had vintage and military aircraft flying over on a regular basis which was great to watch. Unfortunately our use of the garden was reduced for the last 3 days of our ...more
Location directions at marina incorrect. No electricity on arrival. Took marina staff a while to figure it out. Basic Welcome pack would have been very helpful, including photos. Shower pump button extremely hard to locate, Henry Adam’s staff unable to help. Gave maintenance guy same information as given to me; took him 15 minutes to find switch, having been in every cupboard and flicked every switch on the boat. Sofa not clean. If there had been a vacuum would have done it myself. Removing For Sale sign while rented out would have prevented random people just coming aboard. Otherwise, ...more
Desirable location, 10-15 mins pretty walk to the beach, 3 mins walk to a coffee shop and pub. House overlooks a horse field which makes exciting viewing for the kids. Adequate facilities, enough space for what we needed although the kitchen equipment was limited, no wine glasses, limited dinnerware. Great to have a garden but a bit untidy and at the time there was a lot of debris from a broken shed which the owner did apologise for. Nothing a quick tidy could have fixed but a bit disappointing for a special holiday stay.
On arrival, checked over the property as we had children as part of our guest party - found half eaten food in the bunk bed room, crumbling walls and left over clothes from previous guests indicating the property had not been efficiently cleaned. Contacted the owner and was advised "our usual cleaners are away so unfortunately we had to use someone else who clearly was not as thorough as they should have been" which I note has been a previous excuse for another review. The bed in the master bedroom was broken and unfit for purpose leaving us with bad backs - not the relaxing break we had h...more
⭐☆☆☆☆ We stayed at The Clockhouse from 5–8 June and unfortunately it was the worst holiday rental experience we have had in over five years of staying in rental properties around Midhurst. The check-in process was unnecessarily difficult. The key collection point was in a separate location from the property and not easy to find, and despite the booking being for two guests, only one set of keys was provided. Given that the building's front door remains locked, this created obvious practical difficulties whenever guests wished to come and go separately. On arrival, the apartment had al...more
