A lovely cottage in an excellent location in the centre of Midhurst with a well equipped kitchen and excellent all round facilities. Very clean and tidy and well managed by Henry Adams. Minor issues were dealt with immediately and communication was first class. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at the pebbles the property was very clean and tidy and we have had very good contact with the guys at Henry adams who made booking this property very easy
We found the Parlour to be well equipped, small but comfortable and ideal for a couple such as ourselves. The footpath across the road leading to the South Downs Way offers good walking opportunities. The nearest town, Petersfield, has all the facilities I think one would need. Being able to light the wood burning stove on a chilly evening was an added bonus.
Lovely comfortable and excellent quality accommodation with everything you could possibly need. Thank you.
Great location, near to the village and East Wittering beach and walking distance to West Wittering beach. In a quiet ,pleasant road. Thoughtfully renovated, with quirky, use of materials throughout. Practical, yet still cosy and comfortable. Kids loved the use of the private garden and the outside shower!
My husband, two children, and I spent 7 days at this townhome in Chichester. It was in a wonderful location, completely walkable to restaurants, groceries, and the Cathedral. We used it as a jumping off point to visit a lot of South England, it was very centrally located to all the points we visited on our trip. Be aware that the car parking spot is down a very narrow lane, but there is also street parking nearby (restricted during certain hours). All and all, an extremely pleasant visit, would absolutely recommend to others.
Although we arrived very late due to delayed flight, we were in constant contact with the hosts, who helped us find the way-in the end even waving a torch in the street, so we knew were to go. Every help was available, if it was needed, but we were also able to enjoy our privacy. The cottage is lovely and cosy, the surrounding area due to the art of the host, created a joyful and peaceful surround. We specially loved the stone henge, most. beautifully created. Will try to book again.
We’ve stayed at this property twice now and it’s been fantastic both times. Very very clean and tidy can’t fault the property at all.
Loved the Crab Shack and Rustington. Perfect location for beach walks and walking distance to a small town with various quality shops and restaurants. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful place:Spacious, very well equipped and lovingly decorated rooms. Nice beds, cool rooms on hot days (fell in love with the shutters!). Very light, windows everywhere. All one could wish for is present. Nice large fluffy towels, even perfect reading lights. Close to highway thus ideally located to make day trips and there’s easy on-foot access to large and small stores. Yet super quiet and tranquil place both during day and nighttime. Only pretty sound of whistling birds. Seaside just a short drive away, nice walking. Super stay!!!
This was the nicest holiday home I ever stayed in, very clean, super comfy beds, perfectly stocked kitchen even a bottle of wine on arrival!! Parking was no problem especially with the permit provided, the location is also excellent with shops, pubs, restaurants and the seafront nearby. You book through Henry Adams who are also very reliable, all in all faultless.
This is a lovely house with great interior design. It is spacious with 2 lounges, 3 bathrooms and a large garden. There was plenty of room for our 8 adults and 3 dogs. There are a couple of balconies too to sit on and catch the sun. We used the large barbecue which worked well. It is a two minute safe walk to the beach and there is a kayak and paddle board to use if wanted. There is both a local shop and a pub which was very friendly and served good food in walking distance. Everything was in good condition and modern and we found everything we needed - the kitchen was well stocked with ...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Little Maplewood. It is a comfortable, clean property with everything you need for a relaxing break. Even though it is in the garden of another house, it doesn't feel intrusive and has its own gate and entrance. The only thing I disliked was the rattan mat the bed was on as it was uncomfortable for bare feet but apart from that we loved it, especially the wet room which has the most fantastic shower! It's like being under a waterfall and felt very indulgent!
Rubens Barn is a little rural gem. All of the creature comforts, extremely generous food provisions and a wonderful owner who greeted us on arrival and departure. Accessible to Chichester, Midhurst and Petworth. Highly recommended.
Perfect, loved it! Amazing. Booked this for my partners wedding dress shopping weekend and it was perfect!
Really lovely place to spend with extended family. Clean, comfy and ideal if you have small kids!!!!
Delighted to find holiday properties like this still exist...a real credit to Rosie and Simon who are the ideal hosts. We travelled here from Scotland to visit family in Rowlands and have our son over for a couple of weekends from HMS Collingwood. The barn is extremely well equipped with everything you need, including a super selection of kitchen and cooking essentials often missing elsewhere. Plenty of logs for wood burner and good to have outdoor drying for laundry when on longer trip like us & proper hairdriers. Welcoming touches like the Prosecco, milk cookies and fresh flowers really ma...more
The owners made us very welcome, the house was warm and comfortable, everything we needed was there and excellent welcome pack was provided
Caedwalla House provides excellent accommodation in the annexe to the main house. It has everything required, is spacious and comfortable. The contents of the hamper were much appreciated. The living room was a little chilly in the evenings as it was October but the fire soon heated it up. The owners were helpful and on hand if required. We found the location to be excellent, very quiet yet only a short walk to the High Street. The sea is also just down the road. We enjoyed walks in the area and suggest Pagham Harbour and Bosham as places to visit. The Seal in Selsey does excellent food and is...more
We had a lovely stay at The Parlour. The accommodation has been beautifully designed, really comfortable and well equipped. The owner lives nearby and was welcoming, and provided a fantastic welcome gift on arrival. We highly recommend this holiday accommodation.
I had a really good stay. The whole place was very clean, comfortable, and very convenient with a shop just around the corner and an easy walk or drive into Chichester. I will book again.
Crabdon Meadows has everything you will need for a short or even a long term let. It has a comfortable king sized bed, large lounge with dining area, fully fitted kitchen and a good size bathroom with bath and a lovely shower. It is very quiet and peaceful with views over the meadows, easy walk to restaurants, tea rooms, a pub and yet you're only a short drive from the A3. Kim the owner was very helpful and advised us of some good walks and places to eat. We had a long term let and would highly recommend staying there.
This is such a thoughtful renovation with a photo album left in the sitting room showing each stage of the building work. A lovely cottage with many small seated areas inside and a pretty garden too. Someone obviously cares about their guests. An extremely clean property and everything provided for your stay - even a picnic basket! Parking on-site is not available, this is the only drawback. However there is a nearby car park included in the price of the cottage.
This is the second time I have stayed here and it was as good as the first. Great location to sea and town, beautiful view of sea. Owners even provided a fan on request for the extreme heat we had on our stay. Properly very clean and has all the essentials needed. Will be staying again soon
This property was perfect for our long weekend. Great open plan layout and beautifully decorated. Only negative is the garden is very small but not a problem for as it was late October. Highly recommended
Arrived to a spotlessly clean house and a welcome pack of milk, spread and bread. We were blown away by the house, had everything we could possibly need. All the rooms are beautiful and there was a bit of a tussle over who would get the master bedroom, my brother and sister in law won! Family enjoyed playing snooker in the evenings, and having a choice of sitting rooms meant that we could use our PlayStation in one room, while others caught up on TV/films in the other. Very useful, as my mum isn't particularly in to Minecraft, and my nephew doesn't particularly like The One Show! Locat...more
We had an excellent stay over 2021/2022 Christmas period and enjoyed wonderful views of the downs, walks to the village pub (red lion), and walks from Fernhurst up Blackdown Hill. The house was clean, comfortable and well laid out for a family or small group of friends with a spacious and well organized kitchen for cooking and enjoying meals. We also chose this accommodation because the ground floor has a bedroom and same level disabled access bathroom across the entrance lobby, which was necessary for a family member with limited mobility. Access to the property and instructions were clear an...more
A really good holiday house, with excellent furniture and décor. Very spacious throughout. Nice large kitchen (could have done with a full-sized dishwasher, but that's a minor quibble). Very useful separate utility space. Comfortable dining and living room area. Nice big telly - great for lazy evenings after long days out. Didn't try the log burner as it was unseasonably warm - but looked like it would be very cosy. Location was pretty good - lots to do in the surrounding area for days out. We enjoyed Chichester, Fishbourne, Portsmouth, Arundel etc. The only minor downside was limited opti...more
We loved staying in this house and the good weather allowed us to use the sunny garden. Fantastic location; loved the space and natural light. I call this a high tech house mainly because the shower power exfoliated me.....until I figured out how to reduce the pressure. We were a bunch of 60+ technophobes. The only drawback was the poor lighting in the dining area where we needed to bring in bedside lamps to be able to do the jigsaws on the large table.
A beautiful place to stay in a very well appointed cottage. The hosts were attentive to our needs, but we’re never intrusive. The cottage came with everything you could need and the added bonus of the farm shop on site meant that fresh food was always available. Will certainly return.
A very attractive looking cottage with lovely outdoor seating area. Inside it was very clean and comfortable and the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. The location was ideal for visiting Arundel, Chichester, Littlehampton and many other places.
Cannot fault our stay in any way. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in this wonderful accommodation. Would return.
Faces on to a private courtyard with table and chairs (and grape vine). Very comfortably furnished. Good beds. Everything for a relaxing stay. Country walks on the doorstep and a short drive to loads of things to see and do.
The cottage was a lovely place to stay in with family. Great location for local walks. Kitchen was ample for us to cook as a group of six. Nice wood burner and comfy sitting space. Underfloor heating was lovely. Quiet except for owls! A very enjoyable stay. A minor couple of points: it would be helpful to have a book/folder including all the house information in addition to TV stuff. Also the initial description should include the fact that upstairs there are 2 cross beams in the corridor which are only about 5' high - meaning you have to bend every time you go through. So beware.
Our stay in the Diary was without a doubt one of the most comfortable experiences away from home. The place is very spacious, with plently of room for four adults. The open plan kitchen with diner and living room made it easy for everyone to socialize while eating and relaxing. The most welcomed feature however was the beds, which were extremaly large and comfortable. Outside there was a large green open space with plenty of nature to watch incl. baby bunnies hanging around the balcony doors. There was plenty of cooking equipment as well as bread, butter, milk and flavoured water left in the ...more
The living room was a good size compared to the kitchenette which was basic and behind 3 sliding doors. The small round sink was not big enough to take the dinner plates. The toilet shower room leading off of the bedroom was a reasonable size, however the multiple led down-lights were operated by a PIR. Ok for normal use, but in the middle of the night !!! a dimmer setting would be helpful. There was plenty of wardrobe space, however no full length hanging space for my wife's dresses. Good basic accommodation, in easy reach of Goodwood Racing Circuit.
A very good location to do several trips, e.g. to Brighton, Portsmouth, Arundel, Stonehenge, Highclere and to the races at Goodwood (horses as well as the motor circuit). But also the beach is nearby. The cottage is in very good condition, the bed is very comfortable, also for long tall people. The only thing that's a pity is that there's no possibilty to sit outside.
We had a lovely comfortable short break at the cottage, which is set in the delightful old farm grounds and within a few steps of open countryside, and a few minutes drive of walks on the Downs and several excellent pubs. Chichester and Portsmouth were an easy drive. The Cottage had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was perfect and very welcome. Harriet welcomed us and encouraged us to simply ask if we needed help with anything. We would definitely stay again.
A lovely property in a fabulous location. Will return for another break. Lots of great walks and some lovely places close by to eat and drink.
Excellent location - very comfortable and clean house. The beach is close by and sandy at low tide. Would visit again.
We had a fantastic stay, good location, would definitely recommend, clean and tidy and dog friendly.
We have stayed at this little cottage several times as it’s just perfect for a couple, close to the beach and the village. It has everything you could possibly need provided and has a very relaxing feeling. The owner is so kind, helpful and accommodating we just feel like we are at home. I highly recommend it and will be booking again soon.
Seagull cottage is a wonderful place to spend a week or two. There is plenty of space, a lovingly decorated sitting room and upstairs bedrooms with comfy beds. The surroundings are just magnificent. A 10-minute walk to the beach, an endless choice of sightseeing in the area, from Chichester to Arundel. Couldn't be better.
After our previous stay we booked this property straight away for the next time we were in the area, Great communication with the host, Perfect location and beautiful house.
We have stayed at St Faith's on many occasions and always love our time there. The house's setting in the grounds of the Cathedral is magnificent as are the views from the windows. The Georgian house itself is charming, comfortable and quirky with two of the bedrooms in the eaves. It's easy to feel at home there. The two bathrooms and four loos make it convenient for a group stay. We love its central location. Henry Adams are always helpful and easy to deal with. The team at the Cathedral go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay.
Only scored 3 for cleanliness because the lounge suite covers are very grubby and smelly. Although the beds are extremely comfortable the duvets and pillows needed laundering as they had an odour about them. This was our second visit to The Run this year and we thought the above had deteriorated since then. We have said "No" to "Would you recommend this property to others" due to the comments above. Also, a basic welcome pack would be appreciated in such a rural setting, other self-catering properties we have used in recent years all seem to provide one.
Great flat with amazing views. The flat has everything you need to be comfortable with Tesco 4 minutes away and plenty of Deliveroo options. The window front is brilliant and with a drink in hand you can watch the world go by..not to mention join in on the evening watching of the moon which seems to be very popular there. Being on the right side of Bognor, it gives you a super chilled vibe around you. The Management Company is very Efficient and helpful. No hiccups or chasing needed. Access to flat was easy with a lock box and flat was clean and presentable. I took earplugs (always do on trip...more
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
Wonderfully idyllic lodge especially in the evening when the sun set which was perfect for two adults and a small one who enjoyed spotting rabbits and the field. We appreciated the thoughtful touches: a bountiful welcome basket, beach towels and children's books. The owner was kind and considerate. The location is great in being equidistant to West Wittering and Itchenor and near beautiful walks and great pubs. We had a lovely stay.
We chose this cottage for its quiet rural location and easy access to Portsmouth. Everything you need is available in nearby Petersfield.
We stayed at Little Russets between house moves - Carol & Jonathan were wonderful hosts, down to earth yet always thinking about the small details and touches that make a stay so good and memorable. The lodge itself is spacious, well kept and with a stunning view across the woodland and grounds at Russets - the main house. It’s private and set away from the main house - perfect to relax or in our case a mix of relaxing and working remotely from the lodge. Great WiFi, great location and the welcome hamper of food and fizz was very appreciated too!
We stayed at Orchard Mews for more than a week and had a fabulous stay. The house is well located for exploring Sussex and Hampshire. It was comfortable, spacious, and beautifully clean with a lovely garden space. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it inviting with various thoughtful touches. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will return again if we are in the area. The lower grading on customer service is because we ran into some issues with the letting agent --it has nothing to do with the owners who were lovely and very responsive.
Location is superb, so close to the harbour and so much interesting wildlife. Cosy and warm in November, comfortable and well equipped, and with plenty of local choice for food to eat in or out and wonderful places to visit. Wine glasses are a bit chunky but that’s just personal preference. Could well become an annual treat.
We loved the apartment. It is spacious, with comfortable beds, a washing machine and well equipped kitchen. It is in the centre of town, within the walls, with restaurants and pubs nearby.
Clean and comfortable. This is our 4th stay at this lovely holiday home. Easy access to beach. Would recommend.
A stunning cottage in a quite area a short drive from the beach. Near marina and small lake. Wonderful interior. Quiet and peaceful. Customer service excellent.
Great location, can not fault anything will return. Only thing i would have liked was a later check out, but understand reason for vacating the premises at 10.00am.
Comfortable, well equipped and convenient. Secure parking a bonus. Handy for shops and restaurants. Nice and warm.
We were pleased with our choice of this property which is very conveniently located in Chichester. Overall the property was clean and tidy with furniture and fittings in a good condition. The balconies needed cleaning up.
It’s been a hot week in Midhurst but a really nice and cold house! I really recommend it!i do really recommend it!!
Bright & airy, with a lovely view of the countryside from the kitchen window. Private parking. Well designed interior.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage at Hale Hill Farm. It is very spacious and was clean and well equipped. The owners, Clare & Nick, who live in the neighbouring farm were very welcoming without impinging on our privacy and ensured that we had everything that we needed. The cottage is situated in a peaceful spot overlooking water meadows. There are footpaths leading directly from the cottage onto the ridge of the South Downs, from which there is a large selection of possible walks. There is a wide variety of other attractions within a short drive.
Had a lovely time but master bedroom the mattress needs replacing as springs coming through and settee in lounge very uncomfortable also needs replacing but over all had a lovely time
2 Walled Garden was spacious enough and close enough to the beach. Unfortunately the lounge/dining area could do with modernisation. It felt dark, old and carpets were stained. The shower was over the bath was a not very powerful and tricky to wash long hair. The kitchen was bright but the cutlery and crockery was filthy dirty and had to be washed before using. The only dinner plates do not fit into the dishwasher and had to be washed by hand. It was dusty and dirty under all the beds upstairs and the bed linen was old and outdated. The whole place was just a bit grubby all round which was su...more
, great centre location , the house is lovely , comfortable and well equipped and the staff from Henry Adams are the best and very helpful , many thanks , i will be back for sure
The house was well equipped and comfortable. It’s a 20 minute walk into Emsworth which is a lovely little town with some good eateries and a little harbour area. We enjoyed our stay very much
Our 4th stay at this cottage. Peaceful yet close to Emsworth and excellent road links. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need. Staff at Henry Adams are lovely.
Kalami is a lovely bungalow in a great location. Brilliant for the beach & local restaurant. Comfy beds and all the essentials provided. We had a great holiday. Our only improvement would be an upgraded TV with teenagers being able to access our Netflix/YouTube in the evening and a new microwave the coating inside is coming off. Minor improvements it's a great holiday let. Thank you
We will without question return. The Stables is a beautifully thought out and well appointed cottage. It’s is exceptionally comfortable, from the crisp linens to the plentiful cosy towels. There is plenty outside space, and our hosts made us very welcome, encouraging us to take advantage of their wonderful farm. The cottage is ideally placed for the beaches and surrounding places of interest. It’s so nice to stay somewhere with great appliances and lovely crockery- the hosts have made this a lovely home from home and we have already recommended to friends.
Our family loved this house. It's in a great exclusive location - just next to Chichester Marina. Great summer accomodation with two large, light and airy bedrooms upstairs. Southern England's best beach (West Wittering) is just on your doorstep too. Best holiday wi-fi we've ever had. Would definitley consider booking this cottege again.
We had a great time at Blacksmith's Cottage in Bosham. The cottage was well positioned in the village with only a 5 minute walk to the quay. It was comfortable and well equipped with plenty of space in the all the rooms downstairs & good size airy bedrooms upstairs. The garden was well kept with plenty of furniture and equipment for enjoying it
Fantastic location. Beautiful home. Friendly and welcoming owner. Comfortable furniture. Lovely garden area. Thank you for a fabulous stay. 2 adults. 2 older teenagers.
A lovely cottage close to the seafront. Exceptional quality and one I always stay at when I travel to Bognor. Thanks. Absolutely perfect.
Had a wonderful week. Really enjoyed the stay. Have stayed in bungalow previously, has such lovely views. Good to get away and dogs enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend Pagham.
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
Spence Cottage is a lovely property. Warm, cosy and rustic. A lovely garden area. Very well laid out. A great location for a base, a local shop only a 100 yards away. Petrol station very close by too. Well thought out interior, plenty of room in the spacious bathrooms. Great to have a washer AND dryer too. A very comfortable little cottage. The down sides, the cooker was not clean. We ate mostly takeaways and cold food anyway, so it didn't really affect us too much. But, the one use it did get made me reluctant to use it again. Parking, for the 15 days that we were there, it ...more
Found furnishings and television a bit dated but overall a lovely place to stay and relax in such a marvellous location.
Birch End was perfect for my husband, pets and me for a six week stay while we waited for our house purchase to complete. The owner was very helpful and friendly as was the neighbour who keeps an eye on things for her. We already knew Midhurst well, it is a lovely town in the beautiful South Downs with lovely walks, pubs and restaurants. The property is on a very quiet estate within easy walking distance of town or there is a very regular bus service. The house is cosy and warm and very well equipped, the conservatory and enclosed garden were great for our dog. Thank you for your hospita...more
On the positive side, the cottage was very comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The garden was well kept and and very useful for sitting out in the sun. The only negative comment is that the kitchen was lacking a number of necessary cooking utensils. The shape of the only frying pan was such that it was difficult to use on the hob. Also, a sieve would have been useful, as would more than one saucepan! Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and well situated for walking to the centre of Chichester.
Lovely, well appointed and equipped cottage, good location. Booking, payment, info etc efficiently handled. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The owners were very friendly and even presented me with a punnet of their own home grown strawberries, which were delicious. The bed was comfy, shower good, kitchen well equipped, roomy living room. The owners were relaxed and happy with me feeding the birds during my stay. Although I worked a relaxed peaceful stay.
The location is great and the beds are comfortable. The furniture is filthy and broken. It was so bad that we couldn’t sit in the chairs two of which were missing legs and with stained, revolting covers. We were told that they had been washed but they were so stained that we didn’t want to sit on them. Half the light bulbs were broken, they were replaced when we complained. The shower trap was so full of hair…hadn’t been cleaned for months ??? ….that it overflowed and came through the utility room ceiling. The fittings are shabby and a lot are broken. All in all I didn’t feel comfortable at ...more
Lovely homely property we were a group of 7 across 3 generations. We have stopped at the property before and enjoyed it. There are however a few things that need sorting. During our stay the ensuite shower head was broken as it kept falling off, the downstairs toilet handle did not work so you had to pull the mechanism manually in the cistern. There were a number of bulbs out and 1 light fitting hanging from the ceiling on the landing. One of the hobs did not work as there was no gas to it and the hinges on the over door need replacing. Having said all that it is a lovely cosy property. it is ...more
We had a lovely time at the cottage. It is nestled in the English countryside, and wonderfully quiet. It was clean, well-equipped, and the garden at the back was great for summer barbecues. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay. It was a lovely place to stay in and a great location. We would recommend Oysters as a place to stay.
House is in a good location on the beach but in need of some repairs. Some windows don't open, front door lock was broken, hoover wasnt working well, had to empty the full clogged out hoover, no brush and shovel.
A spacious and secure property in a stunning location next to the sea. Customer service and communication was excellent.
Very well placed and equipped. 10 minute walk to the centre, 5 minutes to the Festival Theatre. Private parking excellent. On a main road, living rooms and main bedroom are quiet. Would visit again
We spent a wonderful week in July in the Loft, located just 50m from the gravel beach. With 6 sunny days we were quite lucky. As we cooked every day, just a dish washer was missing (but we knew about that before) - and sharp knives!
The house is very spacious and comfortable, with great views of the beach and coastline from the first floor. We loved the first floor little lounge - with its own dartboard too, and at night you can spot the cruise ships all lit up and lining up on the horizon to enter Portsmouth or Southampton. The kitchen was well equipped - the extra larder fridge in the utility room would be useful if a large family or two families were staying. The door handle on the French doors by the dining table was broken - we reported this to Henry Adams who checked if we needed it repaired during the visit....more
We had a lovely 2 week stay here in Oct '22. We have stayed in these deck houses a few times and this is a lovely example. Cosy, well equipped with lovely comfy beds and a full size bath! Great location up near the water too with beautiful views of the harbour. Hope to stay again soon. And thanks to the office team too, who were very helpful.
Cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely siuation. Unfortunately the cleaners had left dirty towels in the washer, dirty dishes in the dishwasher and crumbs left in the kitchen cupboard. Rest of the house was clean. When we informed the agents they were very concerned and said they would double check on the condition of the property before the next occupants.
Flat is well appointed with state of the art appliances. Plus point is book with manuals for the above. Two small problems -eco flush toilet takes a long time to fill -shower head mount is loose . Neighbourhood is noisy .
I have stayed at Stonesthrow twice, both times off season when it’s quite cold. The flat is cost, warm and well equipped. The location on the seafront with local pubs, take aways and a handy supermarket mean you don’t need a car for the essentials. The second room has bunk beds, so more suitable for children than adults.
Very much enjoyed our stay at 5 Avocet Quay. Beautiful quiet location . Deck house very well equipped and comfortable . Found the walk to Emsworth easily on our first day. Walk through the marina , cross the middle of Slipper Pond !! and come out by the Raglan Arms. Fish and Chips at the Bluebell Inn the best in the world ! Our French Bulldog loved sitting on the balcony in the afternoon sun watching the world go by .
The space was clean enough, convenient and private. There was lots of space for our family of 5. Overall the property was good it just needs some tlc. The kitchen floor boards look like some water damage has occurred in the past, the toilet seat is cracked and taped back together. These things didn’t cause us issues, the unit just needs a bit of maintenance and a good deep clean. Access to the unit upon arrival was easy. Would definitely stay again if we went back.
Found the Property Easy enough. Parking outside the garage was perfect. Just be aware of reversing onto the road. Getting into to the property with the key codes was perfectly OK. Ans easy to achieve. Everything you possibly need is either in the garage or on the cottage!! Which we've never had before when renting a property for a week. Very thoughtful. Gardens were lovely and so is the gardener!! Our only issues were the mattresses are not that comfy what so ever. We played musical beds most nights, until we were in a bed we found comfortable. And the property wasn't that clean. Everything wa...more
The apartment was clean and comfortable and well located. Accommodations were basic eg we missed a stove and coffee maker. Parking sometimes hard. Lack of fresh air access a problem.
The house was in a lovely village with easy access to the beach and Portsmouth. Ideal for our family get together. Couldn’t of asked for anything better for the money.
Parking a nightmare unfortunately. When we arrived at the cottage kitchen bin was half full. Back door mat & area full of leaves/debris, obviously not swept for weeks & no outside table & chairs, which was a shame as it would of been nice to sit out. Shower head was dirty & shower not very good as difficult to stand under in bath. Rest of cottage very clean & homely & location was beautiful being so close to the estuary.
the house is only a few minutes walk away from the beach, perfect for walks. the living room is a bit dark and seating uncomfortable. unfortunately no outdoor seating available. a steep staircase to the bedroom
Great place to stay and spacious. Generally clean, but a bit dusty in the corners/ venetian blinds etc. Bed was comfortable but very low - a bit of a struggle to get up from if you are no longer in the first flush of youth! Wardrobe shelves are full of linen - would be great to make at least a couple free for guests to use Service was generally good all via email - but instructions for parking space could be clearer - none of the spaces are numbered and ended up in wrong space as wasn't clear it was actually the one behind the gate. Instructions on driving in, waiting for gate to close etc....more
Located a short stroll to the beach and prom, and right behind the main shopping area, so lots of cafes/restaurants very close by. Good wifi. Nice for a short stay.
Church Cottage is a comfortable mid terrace house. It was ideal for 3 adults and a small elderly dog. The patio garden is enclosed so secure for the dog and a suntrap later in the day. The house is tastefully furnished and quite spacious. Considering it is a self catering holiday let, the kitchen could be better equipped with some new baking trays and a saucepans with lids that match. The parking is difficult especially if you return later in the day or choose to go out in the evening. We had to park several streets away on 2 days we were there. On entering the property we found a procession of ants along the skirting board that ran from the front door up to the flat. We had to deal with literally hundreds of ants for 12 days of our 14 day stay. Henry Adam’s sent someone twice with ant powder. The master bedroom contains only 3 pieces of furniture - a very comfortable king size bed, one small bedside table, and a 2-seater sofa. No wardrobe or hangers. No dressing table/chest of drawers. After contacting Henry Adams, a temporary hanging rail and hangers were supplied. The bedrooms have large, high feature windows like the living area, ...more
We have a saying in Dutch which goes as follows "A blind horse can do no damage here". For us no problem with the dogs and the bad weather. But it will be not everybody's cup of tea.
Excellent location great property really enjoyed the stay. Relaxing and easy going. Close to the beach and village shops
