i cannot recommend little house enough , absolutely spotless it was like staying in a five star hotel but with friends , overlooking a beautiful manicured garden the perfect position 20 minutes stroll to the beach do not hesitate for a minute if you’re thinking of booking little house A little gem
Lovely place Angel yard location perfect Lovely place Angel yard location perfect Lovely place Angel yard location perfect Lovely place Angel yard location perfect
10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
Rubens Barn is a little rural gem. All of the creature comforts, extremely generous food provisions and a wonderful owner who greeted us on arrival and departure. Accessible to Chichester, Midhurst and Petworth. Highly recommended.
Comfortable, well-equpped pretty cottage in a very convenient location. The landlady and local manager were friendly and efficient. We felt at home straight away, and had a lovely week. It was warm, too, when the weather turned cooler.
We were made to feel so welcome with a greeting of homemade scones and jam, wine, beer and essentials. The accommodation was spotless and fully equipped with everything you could possible need. The furnishings were luxurious and comfortable, a real home from home. The location was ideally situated - a short walk from the town and the beach. The hosts couldn't have been more pleasant providing total privacy but being available if needed. We would highly recommend a stay at Caedwalla House.
I was staying in Chichester visiting family. I've rented a couple of properties in Chichester before, but none were as comfortable and homely as Castleton. The property is a self-contained 'annex' over two floors, but feels like a little house in its own right. Downstairs is a kitchen and living room area. It contains a nice sofa and smart TV (with Netflix etc) as well as a table for dining and working. Upstairs is a vast double/ensuite bedroom. The property is tastefully decorated throughout and in excellent condition. The kitchen is fully-equipped. The bed is very comfortable. The o...more
A modern yet homely apartment with incredible views in a peaceful/beautiful location. Lots of extra touches included to make your stay more comfortable. We will definitely be returning.
A very well converted barn near Chichester. If you want peace and quiet, this is for you. We used it as a base to explore the area, not far from the coast with some lovely walks. There are 2 pubs that you can walk to, both with good food, although ensure you have your torch. The kitchen was large and well equipped but not very well laid out. The master bedroom needed a mirror for hair drying. The underfloor heating was effective although due to it's nature was slow to react, the main areas were always warm, best to leave it on settings recommended. Nice touch to have a Christmas tree up. We had a lovely stay at The Salterns in Chichester Marina for a family birthday. The apartments are stunning and in a beautiful location next to the water. There is plenty to do with walks, restaurants & pubs nearby. Would highly recommend.
A home from home and very child friendly. A break enjoyed by three generations. Great location close to Chichester and plenty of things to do in the area. We'd certainly visit again if back in the area.
We had a very nice stay in this comfortable house. Good location for sightseeing, walks in the neighbourhood and nice pub in the village nearby.
Spacious well-built modern two bed apartment in fantastic location walking distance to Chichester centre. Large bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, perfect for entertaining and relaxing. Plenty of private parking and very quiet. Handy for wheelchair users as it's a ground floor apartment.
We had a lovely long weekend here in October. The apartment was as expected ( actually looked like the photos on website) with beautiful views across the marina. Secure parking was a plus. The weather was glorious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am sure we will return.
What an absolutely FABOULOUS place to stay in Chichester. Location was perfect - in a quiet area across from a large grassy area and small children playground. Absolutely quiet with no street noise. We had a parking space for our car which was really nice. The apartment was clean, well furnished, had everything one could possibly want. We were 4 adults and one toddler. We rented a crib for the toddler. We could walk into town and easily drive to many of the sights of West Sussex. We were there for nine nights. The only thing that needs mentioning in my opinion is that there is a washe...more
Faces on to a private courtyard with table and chairs (and grape vine). Very comfortably furnished. Good beds. Everything for a relaxing stay. Country walks on the doorstep and a short drive to loads of things to see and do.
Flint Cottage was peaceful yet in a great location close to Emsworth. The cottage was very comfortable and stocked with everything needed for our holiday. Easy to walk into Emsworth but also good communications with the South Downs.
This is the second time we have stayed at Oldbury Cottage and were as pleased with it as we were the first time. It is well equipped and ideal for a short break - e.g. long weekend - for a couple.
Lovely stay over Xmas. The Creamery is an excellent space for entertaining - a big family dining table in a well-equipped kitchen that easily handled Xmas lunch for 8. And then we all flopped into the sofas at the other end of the room for a bit of Xmas telly and a roaring fire. Perfect. All very comfortable and clean and in a very beautiful part of the world. James, the host, was absolutely charming, very friendly and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at The Creamery! Charlie Young
Our stay in the Diary was without a doubt one of the most comfortable experiences away from home. The place is very spacious, with plently of room for four adults. The open plan kitchen with diner and living room made it easy for everyone to socialize while eating and relaxing. The most welcomed feature however was the beds, which were extremaly large and comfortable. Outside there was a large green open space with plenty of nature to watch incl. baby bunnies hanging around the balcony doors. There was plenty of cooking equipment as well as bread, butter, milk and flavoured water left in the ...more
The house is just what we like in the right situation- our holiday was amazing and Henry Adams always so helpful. It suits all ages of children and we all were extremely comfortable.
Honeysuckle Lodge is a really nice place to stay, quiet & comfortable with easy access to Medmerry nature reserve. Owners friendly & helpful. Some distance from shops but Tesco will deliver & Hunston has a small supermarket & paper shop that sells excellent cakes.
Excellent apartment. All appliance and fittings were top of the range. Fan over cooker was not working and blind in the lounge was stuck. Possibly hadn't been checked.
Excellent stay. Good location near Chichester with access to some lovely countryside walks. Would just like to mention - Could do with a new toilet seat in the first floor bathroom - as the current one is stained.
We spent more than a month at Lynwood and it was perfect. The rooms are neat and spacious, modern bathrooms and amazing garden.Great location, very well maintained property and awesome owners.
We had a lovely comfortable short break at the cottage, which is set in the delightful old farm grounds and within a few steps of open countryside, and a few minutes drive of walks on the Downs and several excellent pubs. Chichester and Portsmouth were an easy drive. The Cottage had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was perfect and very welcome. Harriet welcomed us and encouraged us to simply ask if we needed help with anything. We would definitely stay again.
This holiday home is excellently situated on the edge of een beautiful landscape. The track leading to it (some 3 - 400 metres) is in very bad condition and the holes should be filled. The cottage itself is very roomy and comfortable. There are only some minor things that could be bettered such as the tap over the kitchen sink (it takes hours to get hot water, why not fit a small kitchen boiler) or the fact that the mirrors in the bathrooms do no have a direct light over them (so shaving properly is not easy). Otherwise it is all very good and highly recommandable.
Very comfortable and cosy accommodation,a few minutes walk to town and beach, friendly and helpful owners,we would be happy to return in the future.
We stayed at Still Waters for Christmas and loved it. The house is very spacious with plenty of seating for everyone. The location is superb, very close to a lovely waterside walk into the village. We would definitely stay again but now have a dog so sadly won't be able to.
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
We found New Park Studio was comfortable, with all the conveniences ( such as laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, books, CD's and tourist information). Its location is also convenient: it is a short walk to the shops.
A lovely property in a great location with easy access to the town and beach. The property is very well laid out and although is dated, it is well looked after and has a very homely feel, with great Bognor artwork and charm throughout. Lovely owner who is very responsive to any queries you have. Would recommend highly!
Lovely peaceful location. Apartment had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, nice and warm. Only very very slight niggle is the coffee pods that were provided hadn’t been restocked and tissues boxes left empty in the bedrooms. As I say, only very slight niggles and obviously didn’t affect stay. Overall a lovely apartment, great weekend. We shall return.
Loved this clean warm large cottage .Best beds ever. Everything on hand in the kitchen Few problems No Christmas Decorations had to go and buy a tree/lights etc as had our family & great grandchildren visiting and seemed sad with nothing show at Christmas NOTE ! No room in our car to bring any from home. Also arrived to no logs/wood or matches to start a fire.A small amount would have been a help Also would have liked a DVD player for the children's Xmas DVD presents .Really do need instruction book for the ovens Lovely & modern but needed help to work it
An excellent barn conversion. Well equipped, in the countryside near to many fine amenities. We will be back.
This is a historic cottage in a terrace close to the centre of Chichester so the location is excellent and a real plus. However, parking can be difficult, and often we had to park some way down the road or even in another road, due the volume of cars needing spaces. The owners were terrific - very pleasant and responsive and they made sure we had plenty of parking stickers. The cottage itself needs some work - there were holes in the doors in the extension and it was not clear to us why they had not been replaced or properly repaired before making the place available for holiday let. Had a wonderful stay for 7 days. Would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind a two story house and would love to return.
Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Our third stay in the deck houses and this one was the best. Very comfy bed.
Very comfortable flat. Excellent location and with the bonus of a parking space. Small problem dealt with immediately and efficiently.. Good communication with owners.
The flat is a compact roof conversation, with everything new. It is in a beautiful rural location next to a hay field and not far from Emsworth.
This was our third stay in this house and we felt cosy and comfortable over Christmas. We love the location, the views over the canal are beautiful and we enjoyed watching the birds and barges. The house is also conveniently situated for the train station and cinema and it’s a very short walk in to the centre of Chichester. The owners and letting agency couldn’t be more helpful.
We were visiting the area because our daughter is studying at the University of Chichester. Carlton Avenue was the perfect base and the home was very comfortable for six of us. The accommodation had everything required and was close to local attractions. We spent time in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Arundel and West Wittering beach - all our worth a visit. We were very happy with our stay and would book again. Thank you for arranging a lovely stay.
Hi We had a great week at The Salterns. We spent every day at Glorious Goodwood and then spent a relaxing evening having dinner on the balcony overlooking the lovely view and wonderful sunsets. It was very hot weather and luckily we had been supplied with two tower fans which we needed as the bedrooms were very hot mainly due to the safety windows only opening a little at the top. Would definitely come back.
We rented 7 of the Salterns apartments for family to celebrate our son's wedding in Arundel Cathedral with the reception held at Chichester Yacht Club. The location of Chichester Marina is absolutely stunning. All the apartments are spacious and well appointed, particularly No 5 with a double aspect living area and terrace with a beautiful view!!! It was the perfect location to bring friends and family together for a few days. All the apartments worked well with children too. I can only think of one improvement which I consider to be a necessity. A lack of mirrors in the bedrooms,...more
We booked this place specifically because we are researching our family's history in West Sussex, so the location was very good for our purposes. Our great grandmother was brought up here 1844 - 1851 whilst her father was serving a term of transportation for sheep stealing. Of course, it has been done up a bit since then and there is plenty of parking, it's on a bus route, very quiet, and retains the post 1834 Poor Law (Amendment) Act basic structure. It is a grade 2 listed building. Instructions for getting keys and getting in were fine, but we had to seek help from another resident a...more
Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of space. Good kitchen and good showers. Good parking, beautiful gardens, very peaceful and yet right in the centre of Midhurst.
The house was great! All of the appliances worked and the kitchen was wonderful. We frequent Airbnb's and rentals - this is probably one of the nicer ones we've ever stayed at!
we was in the cottage for 16 days. It was very comfortable. The house is full of light, has many spaces and is at a short walking distance to the center of Chichester. The house has any stuff you need from sleeping to washing, from cooking to cleaning, from entertainment to reading. Absolutely reccomended.
Easy to book, easy to collect the keys. Stairs to first floor, 2 sets of keys very large front room settee comfortable. Small kitchen but adequate- would have been better to have a washing machine than a dishwasher. Bedroom large, could accommodate a bigger bed. Lots of storage space and cupboard with cleaning items. Bath not deep so a little difficult to sit in - just used the the shower. Spare bedroom handy for coats and luggage. Everything clean and tidy and towels and bedding changed weekly. The apartments was in a quiet block and 10 minute walk to bus stop. Would have been nice to have an...more
The cottage was lovely, furbished to a high standard with everything we needed. The location was great, easy to use the pubs and restaurants, walks from the door and easy to get around the area. The beds were very comfy. Like others it is worth noting the ceiling in the bathroom is low meaning anyone of 6' of over might have trouble but the bathroom is nice with a good shower. There were a few teething problems as the cottage had not been cleaned when we arrived. We got hold of the emergency number and within 10 minutes the cleaners were on the way to sort everything out. Given the circums...more
The cottage was not easy to find (we drove past it twice) but Henry Adams staff helpful over the phone. Tabernacle Cottage was comfortable and well put together with good quality fixtures and fittings. Main issue was the bad drain smell in the upstairs double bedroom which was particularly noticeable over night when using the bedroom. This needs investigating and sorting out because it detracted from an otherwise good stay. Neighbours had a rather loud party on one evening which included loud music played until after 1am. Cottage is adjacent to a working boat yard and they start work ear...more
The location is excellent with plenty of walks along the harbour foreshore. The cottage is spacious and perfect for a family.
Had a wonderful week. Really enjoyed the stay. Have stayed in bungalow previously, has such lovely views. Good to get away and dogs enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend Pagham.
This was our second stay at Brewery Cottage and we stayed for 12 nights. It is in an ideal location as we have family that live in Chichester and it is within walking distance of the town, pubs and and lots of eating places, a great base for what we wanted. Our disappointment arose when we contacted the owner re the problem with the shower. The shower head would not stay in the desired position and kept falling down so that the water was hitting the wall. The water temperature was also not hot enough to the point that no cold water was required to shower and it still wasn't hot enough. The ...more
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
We very much enjoyed staying at Frankland Terrace. It is perfectly placed for enjoying the area and there are plenty good eating places within a short walking distance. Our only bad comment would be that the shower was more of a drizzle. the hose leaked to make it even more inefficient.
Lovely cottage with a stunning garden. Very peaceful. Felt like it was a much loved home as opposed to an anonymous rental. Would happily return.
Lower Street cottage is a great place to stay. Has everything you need and was clean and tidy. Nice little garden out back for our 2 year old to play in. Very secure. Thanks for having us! Kerry, Justin and Lexi
Lovely location right on the beach in Aldwick, lovely views to wake up to. The property is very dated but clean, for the money it costs to stay there probably needs modernising to stay competitive. Radiators need bleeding and the socket points don’t work in some areas. Alarm sensors also give off a strong blue light which is disturbing at night time. Would have been a nice touch of it had been decorated for Christmas as it was pretty pricey, but we had a nice time nevertheless.
Can highly recommend this flat which is really priceworthy, clean, and big. The much better choice than any of the local hotels that are close to the hospital.
We stayed in this lovely little house for a number of weeks while waiting to move into our new home in the area. Birch End was very well appointed, clean, and perfectly suited our needs.
Looked for somewhere that was in walking distance of the cathedral and saw this place it had everything we needed especially the off road parking the house was easy to find and it was nice inside just what we needed and it done the job.
Delightful period cottage, full of character and well maintained. Host was particularly welcoming and provided an excellent and generous welcome pack. Chichester town centre is 10-15 minutes walk from the cottage.
The cottage was very comfortable and contained everything we needed for a week’s stay with a small supermarket a few minutes walk away. The courtyard garden would seem to have been professionally landscaped and provided plenty of seating with a large table. The road outside can get busy sometimes at certain times of the day but we didn’t find any traffic noise a problem. Internally, the cottage has been designed & decorated to a high standard, providing a pleasing mix of the new with the old (e.g original wooden doors). It was light and felt quite spacious, and if anything, the photos didn’t ...more
Very pleasant stay. Clean and modern with all that you need for a short stay. Nice walks and great we could take our dog. Lovely interesting views over so many boats in the marina. Very accessible by car to Chichester which is a superb town, enjoyed Cathedral and varied shops. Plus Portsmouth to see Henry VIII Mary Rose. Came back home feeling refreshed.
Alright and a very nice old house. For cooking the system is special but interesting. The garden in front is beautiful. Welcome drink, white wine, and fruits was kind. Coffee also. It will be good to know that the second bathroom is only for one room. The little one is for two rooms. We was three couples and it was a little désagrément
Logement bien équipé et confortable,très propre et dans un environnement calme.Le bord de mer permet de faire de belles promenades..
Perfect location, smart modern appartment with all amenities including a nice touch of coffee machine and stock of pods. Wonderfiul place and we want to book again for next year. Michael and Jane Madigan
A pleasant stay at the Clockhouse. Comfy bed and very quiet despite its useful position in the Main Street so we took advantage of shops and inns around. Really nice flat, but no WiFi and almost impossible to park an suv in the designated spot. Needs a mirror in the bedroom!!
Nice roomy house for 6 people. Good size bedrooms, lovely size garden - just be careful playing football that the ball does not go in the stream. Chairs in the lounge were a big hit! Small minus point is the shower - need to make sure there is no water and pressure loss out of the tube under the console. Good wi-fi.
Back in the early 1970s, IBM Canada transferred my wife and I to Havant for a three year assignment. During that period we lived on Hayling Island across from the Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club and then at Woodend up near West Stoke / Funtington. My wife taught in the Havant school and our first son was born there. So we came back to attend a wedding in Bosham of the son of one of our friends who lives in Bosham. We knew the Anchor Bleu very well back then and I raced a Finn all over Chichester Harbour. So the Oysters location could not have been better bringing back many memories of the beau...more
We've just spent a wonderful week in this property, we were 3 couples and 1 single. There wasn't a 2nd set of keys for us to use as indicated in the house details and I have to admit we struggled with the key safe, height, getting the keys to stay in the safe and to close it then, plus the prickly shrubbery next to it. One of the sofa chairs was a bit lumpy and lobsided ,( the one immediately in the lounge) . Lack of wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms meant We had 5 people using the the main bedroom wardrobe. Also lack of any mirror close to a socket for doing hair in every room. The property w...more
A perfect location for exploring Chichester.. The flat itself is large and well equipped. However, there were a few things which could have been improved. A bath mat and a tea towel would have been useful, as would an oven glove and spare toilet roll! A couple of dishwasher tablets and some detergent for the washing machine would also have been handy! Also, no bed side light on one side. Parking in Chichester is obviously difficult: this parking is extremely tight - I only have a small car but was blocked in and couldn’t even get into my car. There should be a folder of useful informat...more
THE LOCATION IS GREAT FOR VISITING THE GRANDCHILDREN. LAVENDER COTTAGE IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR A SHORT STAY.
It was a lovely, very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back some time.
I stayed in No1, Cathy's own flat,as she had mistakenly double booked No 2. It was very comfortable & Cathy made me very welcome & let us use all her equipment.
The property itself was lovely: decorated to a high standard with very interesting and quirky furnishings. However, the mattress is probably towards the end of its life and not very comfortable. In addition, the location was a little disappointing being wedged between a main road and train line .... in winter it was fine with the windows closed but not quite the peaceful, relaxing and comfortable retreat for which we were hoping.
Comfortably furnished apartment within walking distance of beach. Sadly our stay was let down by the poor maintenance. On arrival I had to de-ice the freezer in order to store food in it and shut the door. The fridge door was broken, the kitchen tap was permanently running, the front door wouldn't shut and several of the lightbulbs needed replacing. Clearly needs some time/money spending to bring this place up to the standard expected. Shame as the furniture is clearly good quality with very comfortable beds and the apartment is in a peaceful location. Due to the poor maintenance I would...more
This was our second stay at Himalaya. We visit during the West Dean International Classical Guitar Festival as a base to go to the concerts. We also love to visit Pallant House and other galleries in Chichester as well as Bognor for the sea. The flat is clean, bright and comfortable and the price seems right for what it offers. We love the Buddha and being able to browse the travel books written by the owners who let out the flat while they are away on adventures! One small(ish) thing - We had hoped that the shower experience would have been improved during the year between our visits - A w...more
The house is wonderful. Modern and nicely decorated. Comfy beds, comfy sofas and a wood burner. Just 10 min walk from the city centre. Henry Adams agency was very helpful and efficient. Thank you to the team for organising our holiday. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in the area.
We spent a fantastic Christmas week at Fisherman’s Cottage as a family of 8, all adults including my in-laws who are in their eighties. First impressions were resounding WOWS from everyone and when we went inside it just got better. There’s plenty of room for everyone and even a games room and an upstairs bar, with fantastic views, that you can disappear to to get some peace and quiet. The bedrooms were all lovely and comfortable, we had the pleasure of sleeping in the main room upstairs with an En-suite. It was lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the waves lapping at the shore and what a vie...more
The overall cleanliness of the unit wasn't good. Also thought there would be more privacy, didn't expect a bedroom above the bedroom of the unit.
We stayed for a week , beautiful garden, nice and spacious house. The shower glass screen in main bedroom was leaking so the floor was always getting very wet and we had to dry it out with towels not very practical... Toilet flush was leaking as well. We could have done with a few more glasses ... We mentioned it as we checked out so should be fixed.
My husband and I enjoyed our weeks stay in this well positioned bungalow. A short walk to the beach, local pub for lunch and the parade of shops. The bungalow catered for all our needs and we really liked the shower. Nice private garden with chairs and table provided. The bungalow does seem to have a damp issue and at times the bathroom smelt a bit musty. Also we were surprised that only one double bed had been made up. There were only the 2 of us but we could have been brother and sister and that would have caused a problem. We rented the whole bungalow so really expected both rooms to be ava...more
Beautiful house with lovely garden. 3 double beds and 4 single beds so great for a big group like we were. And house has got everything you need. Only the double bed in the garden house was quite uncomfortable and only suitable for 1 person, not a couple. But the other beds in the main house were great. In terms of the location please note that the map on the ad is very misleading, it shows the house being in Eartham and we thought we could walk to the local pub in 5 mins. It is actually 5 mins drive/40 mins walk north of Eartham! so don't expect to be able to walk anywhere. Also we found it o...more
Overall the house was ok, clean and great location. Personally i think a little work could be done with regards to the holiday letting side, no welcome manual, so no instruction on how to use the shower, heating, etc. and details on where is good in the local area, for dining and sight seeing. We were staying for nearly 2 month as relocating to the area, so for this length of stay, further items were needed, the hoover is hard to use, no mop provided for cleaning the wood effect floors. Only 1 door key. parking can be a little tricky in the cul de sac, no selected parking bay.
Great apartment , i really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment was very clean . The customer service is excellent , i will stay again thank.you Henry Adams Holiday
Lovely small cottage done up to a very high standard in a central location. Well equipped but small kitchen, lovely fittings throughout. Short walk to the West Wittering beach, saving on the daily parking charge! (Very) steep stairs and the fact that the toilet is downstairs make this unsuitable for very young children or those who are not 100% mobile.
Lovely apartment, great location. Good facilities except we could have done with a kitchen bin and wi-fi.
Although we loved the location of West Mount Cottage and the welcome pack was very thoughtful, the 2 most crucial items in this property were sadly lacking. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (my husband suffers with a bad back and was in agony by the middle of our stay), and no relief could be found on the sofas as they also lacked any support whatsoever. No dishcloth (I bought one), mop and bucket, broom, vacuum or toilet brush were provided so any cleaning was almost impossible. I would suggest the beds and sofas be replaced to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests and more facili...more
Springs in top bunk poking through, uncomfortable for grandson. No mention of the fact there was not a table to sit at for meals which is difficult for young children to balance plates on their lap. But otherwise a lovely cottage.
We found Beacon Square to be more than adequate for our week in Elmsworth. The property had everything we needed, was warm, comfortable and well located in a quiet street, a short walk to the front and walking paths. Easy to get to the town and all in all, very pleasant.
We were over from the USA for unfortunately a funeral...We did not want to stay in a hotel or B and B situation..We also wanted to have peace and quiet and a nice natural surrounding area with plenty of room... This cottage was excellent..Filled with art work and books..Everything worked...Very pleasant and spacious old home..Great vibes..A horse farm in the back gave us a vista and we got to feed the horses apples...Great pub 5 minutes walk away...Queens Head...Cab service reliable and excellent.Gravers...Got to explore Petersfield..Sleepy small typical English village...Good restaurant Fez ...more
Quirky accommodation in a perfect location. Easy walk to Emsworth for pubs and shops. Would thoroughly recommend.
Well equipped and comfortable, ideal place to stay with a pet as beach is so close. Easy parking. Short walk into Emsworth which is pretty and has good choice of individual shops and places to eat.
The bungalow is lovely, very clean; it is also spacious - there were 5 adults and it felt roomy and certainly not closed in! the Mattresses /linen/ towels and the cooking utensils were all of very good quality! There is a good sized bathroom & the garden a real bonus (weather turned lovely whilst we were there and it was lovely to be able to seat out)! Enough parking for 2 cars in front of bungalow; The location of bungalow is good; very easy walk to high street (less than a few mins) with a walk to the beech easily done; the avenue itself very quiet (we heard no noises in the time we were th...more
Our 3rd visit. The kitchen is now lacking in some areas - the oven and knives in particular. WiFi is poor. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
Position good although reading the notes and viewing pictures I thought this cottage was overlooking the prom. The cottage was not very clean. The rug in lounge very dirty. I don't think any cleaning has been done under the beds (see bunk room) the ironing board was left out in lounge. The kitchen bin has a banana skin in so that wasn't cleaned. The bathroom cabinet too low so that you bump head when rinsing mouth or washing face. The extractor in bathroom not working so mould on tiles and very damp. When window open the builders can see in as their ladder was outside. The wardrobe in the bunk...more
We stayed at the property for 4 weeks and enjoyed being there. Emsworth has a lovely atmosphere and Rookery Cottage was an ideal base from which to walk and also to explore the coast. It was ideal for the two of us and our two young grand children loved it when they visited for a few days.
Good location but house needs made maintenance and cutlery and plates needed proper cleaning asking and poor selection of glasses
The property was very disappointing. This is the 7th property we have rented this year and by far in the worst condition. I hesitate to use the word but it was filthy. The dirt under chairs, tables and beds was pretty disgusting. The dining table still had the remains of a previous tenant's meal on it.The bedding smelt and felt damp. There were numerous dead insects in many of the rooms including the bathroom and cloakroom. The cloakroom, although having a towel rail and towel, does not have a sink to wash your hands. The kettle is so furred up the boiled water for a hot drink is just not drinkabl...more
