Pros: Beautiful gardens, nice outside furniture, useful if weather is good. Great parking area.
Bedrooms modest size, but each has quirky individually furnished style with repurposed period furniture. Bedding used is quality 100% linen with comfortable pillows and matches decor. Scatter cushion overload though. 3 out of 4 beds comfortable, but seem smaller than traditional King size. Kitchen appliances spotlessly clean, as was whole rental. Bathrooms excellent with limitless hot water for filling very large baths. Unique property in unique location. Excellent for a couple of nights stay especially for Goodwood events and if whole party intends eats main meals out.

Cons: unless weather is excellent this property is NOT suitable for a party of 8 self catering for a week. ( we were lucky it was above 25 degrees all week)
Refurbishment of whole property is not yet complete, whilst we were there no work was carried out. Kitchen area and fridge is too small for food prep for a party of 8. Insufficient food storage, cupboards full of jars and storage containers. Biggest issue is NO INTERNAL DINING room or lounge, so you have to eat meals on lap in bedroom or on a table outside. No dishwasher. Minimal crockery and glasses (1 each) and no sharp cutting knives. Property is semi detached, owner discreetly lives in other half of property whilst refurbishing it, consequently outside areas are not total private. Once complete this will be a wonderful rental with more rooms and a massive kitchen. Rooms with baths only have hand showers and no shower curtains. Bath/toilet windows are clear glass on ground floor which means roller blinds are constantly down and get wet when showering. No thermostat controls on hand showers, so temperature varies which poses a risk of scalding (especially for children) as other taps are used in property. Read between the lines of the description and decide if 4 bedrooms, a connecting corridor and a small breakfast preparation area with insufficient seating meets your requirement before booking.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We do feel the property is marketed correctly. We do state there is only dining space for two people indoors. All photographs are of the areas you can stay in and use. A property with four self contained bedrooms , en suites and locks on the doors can be preferable to some customers. Particularly people on work in the area. We do not advertise this house as having dining for eight people indoors. During your stay you gave extensive feedback as to what you would like in the kitchen. All items were provided quickly. There were no renovation happening during your rental and the owner did not encroach on the holiday let space. I am sorry that the lay out did not fit your needs but i hope you enjoyed the stay regardless.
