Situated in the charming town of Emsworth on the south coast of England, this newly renovated cottage seamlessly blends character and historical charm. Church Path, once part of St. James School from 1865 to 1974 and then the Verger’s cottage. It was abandoned in 2015 until purchased and thoughtfully brought back to life by the owners in 2021, now offering all modern amenities and a characterful and comfortable "home away from home" experience.

We were very happy with our stay at Church Path! It was the perfect place to explore sites of interest in the county and beyond, well connected by road & train, but serving as a really lovely and chilled place to come back to for a good rest. Emsworth is a fairly easy going place, for what we experienced, but Church Path is conveniently tucked in by the church, making it a delightful corner. The back garden/courtyard is ideal for evening al fresco dinning, evening drinks by the summer fire and refreshing breakfasts. It is beautifully done and well kept. The house itself is ample, with plenty room to stay, eat and hang out in comfortably, without feeling like you are crammed in. Very useful kitchen with handy utensils & appliances. The customer service is absolutely superb. They were incredibly good, reliable and helpful during the booking process (we had a few issues, and the team at the office were SO GOOD throughout). I had never rented from Henry Adams before, but I will be doing it again. At a time when bigger global platforms (Airbnb...) fail to provide transparency, safety and reliability, businesses like Henry Adams are very much appreciated. Thank you so much to the team and the Church Path family for making it so easy to have a smooth holiday break.
