A charming property just a stones throw from the beach in Selsey.
Wonderful return visit

Our second visit to this property - excellent location just a short walk to an off lead dog exercising area, the fabulous beach and a stroll along the promenade to a good pub. We weren’t very lucky with the weather sadly but managed to explore the lovely quiet area in between showers and had bracing windy walks around Selsey Bill. Thanks for letting us stay.
Beautiful location. Shame about the holiday experience

We booked a "dog friendly" rental for a week. The location more or less on Selsey Bill was lovely. The house however was not cleaned properly and despite Henry Adams being contacted, and promising to send a cleaner when we arrived on a Friday tea time, there was still no sign of a cleaner a week later when we left. The rear garden was nicely set out, with a patioed area and seating, plus BBQ. Mostly grassed which was useful for the dogs but it hadnt recently been cut and this made picking up their excrement more difficult than if it had been cut prior to our stay. There was only one key to the front door and two families staying, so often impractical to be miles away from each other in case we needed access to the property. A large walk in porch made a good storage area but the front door's locking handle was loose. Only just enough space to park one car. The upper bunk bed in one of the children's bedrooms was broken and we had to fashion a repair to make it functional, despite telling the letting agent. Only one shared bathroom and lack of en-suite facilities meant a fraught wait sometimes to access the bathroom/toilet. The apparent indifference to our reports of some damage and concerns about cleanliness was disappointing and no compensation was offered either. The house was adequate to use as a base but I would not stay there again. Selsey is lovely. The same cannot be said of "Pebbles", the name of the house.

Thank you for taking your time to leave a review. I’m very sorry we have not met expectations in our communication in respect of any feedback you have offered. I don’t have any record of any cleanliness items requiring a housekeeper to re-visit. If you could contact me directly with more information I will investigate what has happened. After your stay we were in regular communication and arranged for a parcel to be picked up and posted to you which I hope has shown that we do take customer service and care very seriously.
In respect of a key. We do not offer more than one key at our holiday homes for security reasons. We would encourage guests to use the key safe if holiday groups are out and about during the day.
We feel the marketing of Pebbles is correct so no further bathroom facilities should be expected compared to what is offered. I hope this did not cause you too much inconvenience.
Parking is suitable for a minibus or even 2 hatchbacks but there is further parking also on the road outside. The garden is regularly maintained but that is helpful feedback from a pet owner.
I hope that you did enjoy your stay at Pebbles. It’s a wonderful holiday home in a brilliant location.
Loved this place!

This house is in an amazing location - very close to the sea front and a lovely little green area for exercising the dogs yet super quiet. Short walk along the sea front takes you to the fabulous Lifeboat Inn pub where we enjoyed a tipple and some great food in the lovely garden area. Some of the food offerings in Selsey are brilliant (try the Thai - and the immaculate Indian restaurant). I feel like Selsey is a hidden gem - there weren’t crowds of people and I finished our week away feeling well rested and very relaxed.
The only negatives for us were the mattress in the bedroom next to the bathroom could do with replacing as the sides are very soft and inclined to tip you onto the floor if you turn to close to the edge, and some building work to a home over the back which obviously is temporary and out of the control of the homeowner/ rental company.
All in all this is the best UK stay we have had in years - totally loved it and hope we’ll be welcomed back for future stays.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to leave this lovely review. We're delighted that you enjoyed the amazing location near the seafront and the peacefulness of the area. Your kind words about the nearby Lifeboat Inn pub and the local food offerings are greatly appreciated. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the mattress and the temporary building work in the neighboring property. We're thrilled to hear that your stay with us was the best UK experience you've had in years, and we would be more than happy to welcome you back in the future.
Would recommend staying here
