Fort Belan is a stunning 18th century fort on the coast of Caernarfon Bay. Over The Way sleeps 12 and this spacious accommodation is ideal for larger groups. Pets welcome, close to the beach.

We had a wonderful week at Fort Belan, helped by glorious weather. We were a large group of family and friends occupying 3 cottages. It is a very special place, off the beaten track with beautiful views of the Menai Straits. The children had a great time playing in the grassy quadrangle, and we explored the local beaches, mountains and enjoyed our day in Caernarfon.
Gary at Coastal holidays was extremely helpful as was Phil, who helped us when the boiler in one of the cottages wasn't working.
The cottages were clean, although they are old properties and could do with an upgrade - there was some damp on the walls of the bedroom I slept in. The kitchens were well stocked. It was a bit annoying that we had to pay extra for linen, (which didn't include towels - a couple of us forgot theirs and had to buy some!) Some of us paid extra for linen and some brought their own, which caused some confusion.
We loved our holiday at Fort Belan, and would like to visit again.

Great location, very friendly team, good accommodation and kitchen well equipped.
Needs new beds, other than that we were more than happy with everything

Our large family holiday at Fort Belan during early August was a great success. Perched on the mouth of the Menai straits, this was a lovely location for those who like peace and quiet, the outdoors and the sea. We did plenty of fishing, walking, boating and kayaking and and this is the ideal place for it. Accommodation was very good - I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back !

We have been coming here for many years , Wonderful isolation!, Accomodation clean and comfortable but now very expensive for what it is. Owners very helpful and on site.
