As a family with a disabled family member funding somewhere to meet all needs is hard especially in our favourite place to holiday ie North Wales. The upper floor of hendy ticked most boxes and solutions were found to small issues. It is a lovely quiet place especially in the evenings and weekends and in quiet still moments you can hear the sea in the distance. One family member had a power chair and it was not up to the job of going around the acres around us being mostly grassy but that was the chairs fault. The pandemic restrictions meant that the pancake house and many of the features I...more
We had such a good time at Eisteddfa. Beautiful house, stunning location and plenty of good food places nearby. Very friendly and helpful owner and special thanks to Coastal Holidays who pulled out all the stops to make our holiday possible. Would love to go back. Highly recommended.
What an unbelievable week. Helped by the wonderful weather, but this was not the only thing that was amazing. The cottage is faultless. Everything you need for a weeks holiday. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, doggy equipment and much more. The most wonderful thing though is the perfect views. Almost unreal. Whether it was coffee on a morning or wine at night, it was simply stunning Sat on the balcony or in the back garden. When you are in “that house” that everyone looks at when they walk past and thinks wow…. It feels very special, We even had a birthday present each left fo...more
Gwlgri is a peaceful farmhouse suitable for up to 8 people. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom so useful for those who cannot 'do' stairs. The kitchen is well appointed and a pleasure to be in. Gwlgri is very safe for children and there is plenty of parking. Church Bay is a 5 minute drive away from where there is a superb cafe and restaurant. On the way to the bay is a pub called the Church Bay Inn...a lovely place to see the sun set. This part of Anglesey is good walking country with plenty of coastal paths. I would highly recommend Gwlgri and the service that Coastal Holidays provide.
We had a lovely stay here and it felt like home away from home! Super clean and Pamela was a great host... thank-you for the Welsh cakes and milk in the fridge! My mum also absolutely loved hunkering down to read while we were out walking. The cottage had such a lovely feel to it and was in a great location for where we needed to get to for our walks and photography... actually planning on coming through again it was so nice!
We have been looked after by Steve the landlord and the whole of his team Very understanding to our needs and patient with us Thank you very much Excellent all round
very comfortable lounge suite and a bed which we highly rated for comfort. we were surprised by the nice goodies a variety too many to mention. The location is great with views of the sea and a few yards to the coastal path and yet convenient for the village. I would recommend Penrhyn cottage for a small family during the long holiday season and excellent for a dog.
Camaes Bay is wonderful. It is a quaint village with all the amenities you need. Everyone is very friendly and helpful including the owners of the house who were great at communicating, recommending things to do and always responded very quickly by text to any questions. Check in was very simple and the holiday was very relaxing. We rented the whole space including the apartment. As a family with children we were pleased we had as, the apartment is very much a part of the house with glass doors into the second sitting area (that can be locked with curtains drawn over them to make it more separ...more
A lovely warm, comfortable cottage. Well equipped and in a great location for walking down to estuary.
Cottage clean and tidy. Key lock easy. Owners went out of their way to assist if required. Also, provided a Christmas tree as Xmas booking. Lovely view. Even though not too bothered by holiday camp next door as winter, I don't know if it would be the same in summer. Regardless, holiday camp is not the run of the mill camp that usually looks like a prison block. Lodges and very select. All in all, I would definitely recommend this cottage. Lovely quiet location, lovely view, and if into stargazing, fab dark skies so you can see the milky way. Final note, very secure if taking dogs ...more
Why we are happy? Because the location is special, comfortable and very clean,Thank you so much Guys
The location of spindrift is perfect with views of the sea from almost every window. Very well equipped. Had lovely holiday, thankyou
Lovely bungalow in a great location in the quiet town of Beaumaris. Perfect place to explore the Isle and beyond. Spotlessly clean with all the facilities you need. Great communication. Highly recommended.
Both the cottage and the location were perfect for us(family of four + doggo). Walking distance to everything you need and 6/7 miles drive from a big range of supermarkets in Holyhead. Rhosneigr itself has great Cafe's, great beaches and a great pub/eateries especially the chilled beach bar/restaurant The Oystercatcher.
This is our second visit to Eirianfa with a party of six over three generations. Lots of space, a home from home with everything you could need and a beautiful spacious garden, in a peaceful location. The wonderful large veranda in the garden, part covered part open, with outdoor furniture, is great for eating al fresco & soaking up the evening sun (or even sheltering on a warm wet evening) You definitely need transport but are minutes away from Menai which has restaurants, shops & a supermarket. The location is great for travelling to any of the wonderful beaches that Anglesey has to offer t...more
Coach House Faner was a great place to stay, within easy reach of many locations in and around Anglesey. The owners, David and Fiona were fantastic, and a great source of local information. The accommodation was very well equipped with every conceivable kitchen tool available. If I had one issue, it would be the very patchy wi-fi which dropped out regularly. So much so, I switched it off and used 4G. The upside of this was my 10 year old had to talk to people rather than being glued to a device. All in all, highly recommended.
Great property for large families and teams working in the ares Owners have been very kind and helpful can't recommend enough
What an amazing week away during these surreal times! Spring Cottage was amazing , Ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of life! All the best beaches within half hour away! The cottage was spotless, had everything in it for self catering . More than enough space inside.Very comfy Beds and bathrooms! Felt very safe and relaxed . Outside was WOW !! One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever stayed in. We will return .
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The owners have thought of everything that you may need - it is perfect.
So nice to see the large open space garden hasn’t been taken up with other accommodation or Caravans etc. Only minor things missing was a shower and the internet but these wouldn’t stop us visiting again. Thanks Jane (the owner) for being very welcoming and helpful.
This is a beautiful property. The owner has provided everything you would ever need. It was newly decorated and clean. As this was the first let since refurbishment it was very dusty but not a problem to us. Would stay again, no problem. There was instructions for everything and a very friendly and knowledgeable next door neighbour He had lots of information about all of the peninsula. Just suggestions. The beds all looked new but very low for people with mobility problems. My husband had to be helped out of the bed each time. The water pressure is not very good for 6 people trying to get...more
We stayed at the property for 4 nights with our dog. The cottage is situated close to the centre of Beaumaris. The cottage was clean and tidy with everything on hand that we needed. It also has a lovely private enclosed garden and yard. The only thing that may cause a problem for some guests is the lack of parking at the property. We ended up having to park someway up the main road. On street parking in Beaumaris is limited as there are yellow lines everywhere. All in all a great place for a short break. We would stay at the cottage again.
This was my fourth visit to Caradoc in Rhosneigr, it is a very comfortable bungalow, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is spotlessly clean and also in the most perfect location overlooking the beautiful lake at the back and literally 3 minutes walk to the most stunning beach. Coastal Holidays were efficient and friendly and always on the end of a phone if needed. Rhosneigr is a very pretty village with plenty of cafes and pubs and lovely walks with the dogs. What more can I say, my idea of heaven!
We had a fabulous stay in this lovely lodge. It was well equipped, warm and felt like home from home . The location is well placed for loads of lovely beaches and it was so quiet! Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to re book!
Great location with amenities close by. Apartment very comfortable and clean. Shame balcony at the front as it doesn’t get the afternoon sun but there’s always the beach close by.
Amazing location, breathtaking views. Well eqipped kichen and living area. Fabulous balcony and outdoor space. Lounge furniture a bit tired and grubby looking. Second bedroom quite basic with awful matress on lower bed. Not really up to standard for the property. Low quality bedding and linens throughout. We did have a wonderful time but feel interior decor needs some improvement.
We had a wonderful four day stay at The Moorings. The property was very clean and probably the best-equipped house we've ever stayed in. The views over the bay are second to none and we loved watching the changing tides. There are superb walks right from the cottage, one of which was the best walk we've ever done. The village has a couple of handy local shops and good pubs and restaurants. I also want to thank the owners who very kindly let us change our dates at the last minute due to a serous family issue. We'll be back!
Fantastic Location, literally yards from its own pebble beach, with the Anglesey coastal path passing through the front . Well marked coastal path trails of in both directions , one way to the Church Bay beach, Lobster Pot restaurant and delightful Wavecrest Cafe. The other takes a twisty route along the coast to other wonderful beachs and onward to Holyhead with excellent views of beautiful Anglesey seascapes and countryside Had a small problem with the TV during our visit, which was very promptly resolved by the agents with no inconvenience to our stay at all and good communication all roun...more
The house is huge and really well suited to our extended family of 6 adults and three children (aged 15, 5 and 2) plus two dogs. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with utensils etc. Instructions on how to use the washing machine would have been helpful as would a comprehensive ‘guide to the house’. The hot tub was a hit and well used. The outside area is small and a couple of more comfortable chairs or loungers would have been welcome but we spent most of our time out and about so not a big issue. We got used to having find space for our cars (4 between us) and could always find a free...more
The above boxes speak for them selves! It is our equal first, by a long way. ………………………… ………………………..
Accommodation was excellent and the property was perfectly situated. Pulling the curtains back to the views was good for the soul.
Spacious house with lots of character. Immediate response when things needed action. Sightings of red squirrels in garden!
The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price. The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday . The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday. However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no fl...more
Fort Belan is a unique place to stay in a wonderful location. It is however, as a holiday rental venue, in need of a major updating, particularly in respect of the furnishings and fittings and as such does not represent good value for money.
Location was very good but property more suited to a summer break than a winter one. Owner was helpful but the house was cold.
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
The only issues we had were that a few items were missing from the kitchen - corkscrew, scissors, can opener, good knives, casserole dishes. Also, most importantly, there was no information left for us in the property - wifi code, how to set up the TV, local street map, good pubs/restaurants, walks etc etc. Otherwise, clean and comfortable and great location.
Great location, very friendly team, good accommodation and kitchen well equipped. Needs new beds, other than that we were more than happy with everything
We had a wonderful week in Fort Belan. We stayed in Dock Cottage - a very quiet, private and peaceful location. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the views from every window are stunning. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals (although the cooker takes a while to warm up - I am used to gas and a fan assisted oven). The bathroom is newly fitted. You can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and soak up the wonderful views The decor needs some updating, the double bed wasn't very comfortable and the rug in the lounge definitely needs to be replaced. However, t...more
Lovely location and well equipped, it’s just a shame that the decor and bathrooms were all tired and in need of redecorating/new installing (in particular the downstairs en-suite really needed the ventilation addressing as it smelt decidedly damp). The 5 star rating that the cottage advertises itself with online was misleading as the 5 star classification certificate displayed in the cottage was dated 2013. Overall the cottage could have done with a thorough deep clean too.
Really loved this location with the view of the bay and easy access to the Coastal Path. Great to have a garden at the back too for lunches in the sunshine. A beautiful area and we even saw a red squirrel on the verandah!
we stayed at the trees in amlwch for new year the was a large group of us of all ages the trees provided a fantastic base for our weekend and loads of space it was stocked with everything we needed relax and bring in the new year. Everywhere was clean on our arrival and the house was warm and welcoming even if the weather wasn't we had rain like you never believed . Couldn't really find anything to say as a negative it suited us down to the ground and hope to return soon. If there was one slight negative i heard people mention during the weekend is they would have liked a toilet on the grou...more
