This was our third stay and we will book again soon. Love it. Perfect for us a group of older ladies having specific needs and liking comfort. Spacious comfortable and clean. It has everything we need even in a storm. We stayed during storm Freya. We ate a lot, slept a lot and watched netflix. We love where this is as well close to some beautiful villages and scrummy restaurants. Anglesey is such a beautiful island and this is a great place to stay especially for difficult older people like us or larger groups. We recommend it.
Cottage was well kept, had everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Beach was only about 5 minutes to walk to. Other seaside places close by .
This booking was a late decision and how lucky were we! An excellent choice, right in the village, opposite the heritage centre for superb coffee and cakes. Steve was most welcoming, lovely touch to provide cake and tea etc. Short walk to the harbour and beaches and free carpark just behind the house. We couldn't have asked for more. We all want to return.
A really quiet location. No noise at all from anything. View to the sea from kitchen and living room windows. A huge field for parking, allowing car to be right by the property. Very friendly and welcoming owner. No shower but a good bath. Directions to the property a bit tricky to follow and awkward parking in nearby village was occasionally a challenge to drive through. Overall highly recommended.
Great cottage on owners property, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, lovely afternoon sun trap behind cottage overlooking (quiet) sheep-filled field and with owners gorgeous cats for company. Have paid much more for much less on previous holidays.
Simdde Wen is a lovely cottage, very well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels etc. It's like a new pin when you arrive, I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere so clean and well appointed. Everything works and the shower is brilliant. The owners couldn't have been more helpful when we were there and best of all, so central to Beaumaris. We will definitely be staying there again, whether it be for a weekend or another week next year!
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
This was our second stay in Guillemot and we will definitely book again. The cottage has everything you need, is beautifully presented with lots of interesting decoration and centrally located in Beaumaris. Guillemot has the added bonus of a private, peaceful & well kept garden at the rear with seating areas and bbq. It's within a few minutes walk of all the amenities & the waterfront of Beaumaris. We buy a weekly parking ticket for the green on the front which gives you easy access with a pass & perfect for parking overnight. It's a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. A holiday cottage...more
We have stayed in the area in various holiday lets in Trearddur Bay over the past few years and this little gem was fantastic. Great location near the beach, and only a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The accommodations is surrounded by beautiful grounds, and we could not fault anything. We highly recommend this property and will be back.
We stayed at Spring Cottage, Fodol for the week of our Golden Wedding and were joined by our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. The cottage was all we could have wished - sparkling clean, beautifully equipped, and with plenty of room for four adults and two boisterous boys under 5. The location was ideal, apparently remote in the Anglesey countryside, but in reality only a few minutes from Waitrose and the other services of Menai Bridge. Spring Cottage had everything needed for a marvellous holiday. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of bathrooms and showers, excellent kitchen fac...more
An excellent spot to explore beautiful Anglesey. Very comfotable bungalow with all we needed to make a relaxed holiday break
We arrived to find the property very well appointed in all respects, It felt like home from home, Advice and guidance on all aspects of our stay from Coastal Holidays and the owners, who knew of my wife’s recent illness, sent flowers, Will be back
We had a great stay at the apartment. It was well equipped with everything you might possibly need for a holiday. The apartment is very well decorated and the views from the balcony are absolutely fantastic! The beach is about a ten minute walk downhill, walking back with a toddler and a small child wasn't as easy! Benllech beach is lovely, well worth the visit.
Our hosts Teresa & dave were excellent hosts the cottage was cosy and warm. Plenty of information about the area. Our dog was made very welcome there was even a welcome bowl of dog biscutes, they were soon gone. We will certainly be back. Shame about weather this did not stop us enjoying our holiday. This obviously new property provided us with excellent standard accommodation. Everything was clean and new. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding high quality. There were a few things missing, for example, we couldn't find a teapot or instructions on heating and hot water, but presume these were because it was all so new Thank you for a lovely stay
A tricky place to find, but upon arrival all of this became irrelevant. The setting was perfect, the house was clean and tidy and the views spectacular. A most enjoyable location to stay for a peaceful stay in the heart of nature. Will go again !
Ideal location for a base from which to explore Anglesey & North Wales. I have mobility problems and the layout of the Coach House met all my needs. The owners, who live on site, were lovely, helpful people who contributed to making our stay a very memorable one.
We love this place and have stayed many times however there is no wi fi and during our recent stay we were spending more time at the library in Beaumaris using their computers than we would have liked. We still own and are responsible for a business and need to be in contact even when we are away. I realise that this won't be the same for everybody. We would certainly return.
Yet another wonderful family holiday in Cable Cottage - everything is just great and we have already booked again!
Absolutely majestic place to reside for the week we stayed , The house had all mod cons and the views are stunning. Every evening we just looked out to see until the sun went down. As Arnie says I'll be back .
We stayed at View @ The Moorings in Camaes Bay for a week. The property owners, Nigel and Toria, are wonderful hosts. Milk in the fridge when we arrived and lots of thoughtful touches: hand gel, dishwasher tablets, kitchen foil etc. The flat is spacious, airy and very well equipped, and as for the balcony - amazing. We could sit out there and watch the bay all day. Oyster catchers, herons, swallows, kayaking, scuba diving, jet skiing, boats coming and going. There’s a big TV in the lounge but with a view like that, who needs the television? One evening Nigel and Toria (who were staying in the ...more
I stayed here with my parents and young son for a relaxing break. The cottage is lovely. There are stunning views of the Menai Straits and a little pier right outside where my son went fishing for crabs each evening. At night we played board games that were available in the cottage. The beds are comfortable, there’s a choice of bath and shower and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full oven, pots and pans and a dishwasher. Booking was straightforward. We were well-placed to get to all the sights around Anglesey. The beaches are fantastic. Lovely.
4th year of visiting, a superb property in a superb location, albeit the parking can get on your nerves a bit ! Problems during the stay were quickly acted upon by the owners, and for one problem it appears a bnew dishwasher will now be installed so that will benefit guests immensely Patio furniture not in the best of condition but I am aware that this is being completely replaced in August, so that is great Otherwise, a freshening up of the interior paintwork wouldn't go amiss, but in the end it is the only place we would stay in Anglesey, and to that end we have already booked for nex...more
Unique place to stay, a great place for a family get together, very clean with everything you needed. Loved the wheelbarrow touch, the deckchairs and the welcoming flowers on arrival. You needed a car but a nice beach not to far away for the younger members of the party. The whole site was well planned and beautiful laid out with flowers and lawns, wish we could have stayed longer. - perhaps next year!!
Wonderful place to stay, gorgeous beach, peaceful, full of character and history. A true escape for a lovely holiday. There's no Wi-Fi and poor phone reception within the very thick stone walls so don't go if these are important to you. If you want to see wildlife and relax this is the pace for you.
We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at Fort Belan we are already wondering how soon we can return. It is a magical place and we both enjoyed being able to visit such amazing sites in North Wales so easily, and the beautiful tranquillity of the Fort. The grounds are beautifully kept, with stunning planting tended with love and attention. I wish my garden was as nice. Yes the accommodation had a few spiders, yes the floor needed a sweep, the draw fronts needed a bit of TLC, and there was a musical recital taking place we weren't warned about one night. But the water was always ho...more
Booked for a small family get together in advance of Xmas. Beautiful arts & craft house attached one side to neighbors in a small hamlet in the middle of nowhere but 0.5 mile downhill to coastal path and Llanddona beach. Easy access to key and house. Oodles of character and very spacious downstairs with log burner in lounge. Good central heating throughout. Great WiFi. Well laid out kitchen and breakfast area. Great fan assisted double oven no issues with cooking a full Xmas dinner. Plenty of plates etc and well equipped 4 good size bedrooms 2 en-suite plus main bathroom albeit shower in...more
The location of Kings House in the heart of the village is ideal- the shops are on the doorstep and an excellent curry house is next door which provided us with a brilliant take away meal for 13. The hot tub is a real winner with the children. The Kitchen is a great size with seating for a large group; there’s plenty of fridge space and crockery etc. There are sufficient bathrooms for so many bedrooms which we wanted. The group in the top bedroom found it less comfortable than everyone else- the bed itself was uncomfortable; that was our only complaint. I’d book it again without hesitation. ...more
Large bungalow supplied with absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. Situated close to beaches and easy to get to mainland Wales. However the cleaning company had let the property down by not cleaning the bathroom to an acceptable standard and leaving a long black hair across the breadbin. Also the base of the spokes of the chair in the twin bedroom were thick with dust and dirt. I would have given it 10 out of 10 if the bungalow was cleaned properly. I am sure all this is easily put right for future guests. We had an enjoyable week with lovely weather.
On arrival slightly disapointed about some items of cutlery & crockery were dirty. Kitchen window too. But everything about Seaview was excellent. Right next to the water. Wonderful walks. Lots of activities going on right outside your door. Local amenities close to hand. Fabulous chinese takeaway, delivered hot to your door within minuites. Being a connoisseur of chineses. Brilliant. Beds comfortable. Could have been better if a sofa in the kitchen instead of a dresser. But beautiful cottage. The sunsets are ama..zing. I have soooo many photos of the ever changing sunsets incredible.Apart fro...more
This house was perfect for our large family and catered for all of our activities.the outside storage for all the wet gear was indispensible and the large garden was perfect for storing the canoes and playing football.the house itself was well equipped and comfortable .i think an improved washing line or similar would be a great help!otherwise a perfect holiday home for an active family holiday
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Overall this was a fantastic house, in a great location, loads of space inside and out and really well provided for in terms of furnishing, kitchen etc. Given that, the following are only a couple of small issues that might be looked at: - though generally it was well cleaned, this was a bit uneven - some areas needed a bit more going over; - the kitchen is really well kitted out but some areas could do with a bit of maintenance (e.g. things like kitchen draw coming loose/not closing properly); - we were aware that though we had good wifi, the adjacent houses had much poorer coverage and th...more
Clean but a bit dismal. Didn't get warm enough with central heating, required use of wood burning stove too.
Spacious rooms, well equipped. Fantastic views, nice secure garden. Only downside is the spiral staircase is very narrow .
Our large family holiday at Fort Belan during early August was a great success. Perched on the mouth of the Menai straits, this was a lovely location for those who like peace and quiet, the outdoors and the sea. We did plenty of fishing, walking, boating and kayaking and and this is the ideal place for it. Accommodation was very good - I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back !
Pumpkin Lodge is a very good base to stay and explore the rest of the island. It felt very comfortable and homely. The table football was definitely a winner, as the kids played on it everyday! My children enjoyed playing with the other kids staying at the lodges nearby. A lovely, quiet location and close to Beaumaris. Definitely need a car as no shops or pavements near the holiday park.
Fab place to stay loved it and has every thing you need and more lovely garden and seating areas will be returning for another stay thank you so much
The cottage is in a beautiful location however its tired. It appears that there were some upgrades a few years ago but there is some damp in the main bedroom around the window (the windows down stairs are difficult to open which doesn't help this situation). The sofa was quite smelly perhaps someone had slept on it and the lounge furniture overall lumpy and unsupported as was the main double bed.The cottage could benefit from new table lamps throughout and one or two in the lounge would be a great addition. The fridge/freezer is old and rusty and the fridge light has blown and was missing. The ...more
To recommend this property a total make over is required, carried out by trained trades people. The decking needs to be replaced. The vaster was to die for and we would be happy to return.
