Beautiful caravan in lovely spot, secluded garden. People so friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money . Caravan has everything you can need . Definitely recommend.
Stayed for half term with wife, two Teens and a dog. Welcomed as we arrived and left milk and Welsh Cakes to enjoy. Such a lovely place and well equipped converted barn. Lovely having the wood burner which warmed us up well, all the amenities you need in a home away from home. Maybe a more comfortable mattress that’s less springy, but otherwise a perfect stay, and we WILL be returning!
The views were spectacular, the peace and quiet amazing and all the facilities etc were top notch. You cannot currently access the coastal path from the garden but can from the front door. So relaxing and special You will not be disappointed
We had an amazing stay in Angorfa - the house was plenty big enough for 7 with done of the comfiest beds we’ve stayed on - loads of kitchen amenities but the winner was the views - sea on one side and rolling hills the other. The house is a great place to explore the peninsula. Would definitely recommend
We had an amazing weekend, this is our 4th visit as a 4 generation family and we all love it, we will be back again next year
Smidden Wen was a great holiday stay, it had everything we needed, it was great space, good location and beds were comfy. Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay at Plas Diwedd. The cottage was clean, bright and very comfortable with everything you need for it to feel like a home from home. The views are fabulous and the weather was warm enough for us to make good use of the decking area outside the kitchen. With lovely walks and a beach just a short walk away we had one of the best holidays we've ever had in Anglesey. From booking right through to the end of our holiday communication with Michael and Coastal Holidays was excellent. Five stars doesn't do it justice.
This was our third stay .Great location, lovely accommodation.Would recommend this property.Great places to eat in Rhosneigh and wonderful sunsets.
Lovely cottage, clean and fully equipped. Our only complaint was the televisions as both had very limited programmes. Both tv's constantly froze or kept breaking up! Upstairs tv was unwatchable. Nights drawing in, tv was required, just basic freeveiw and Welsh channels!! Contacted owner, was offered one night to go next door to watch football ....we didn't bother!!
Beautiful location, lovely cottage and very spacious, David and Fiona are amazing, David has a smallholding with sheep, ducks and chicken, great for kids, Gary from Coastal holidays was spot on with the booking, we loved Anglesey and hopefully will return some day x
What an amazing week away during these surreal times! Spring Cottage was amazing , Ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of life! All the best beaches within half hour away! The cottage was spotless, had everything in it for self catering . More than enough space inside.Very comfy Beds and bathrooms! Felt very safe and relaxed . Outside was WOW !! One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever stayed in. We will return .
Not one for normally staying in a village location but this was a gem of a find. A leisurely ten minutes stroll down to the beach, a workout of a twenty minutes back up the hill. Lots of local shops that are also easily walkable. The local neighbourhood, I found the people to be so friendly and welcoming. The property given only 2 bedrooms is larger than I thought it would be. Very clean and smelling fresh on my arrival. The beds were comfortable and needed after lovely longs walk with the dog. I would say the furniture is dated, therefore if it’s a modern theme you are seeking then this i...more
Great location, plenty of room and thoughtful touches to make it feel like home, would and have recommended to friends.
This was our second stay at this property. Very well kept with everything you need. Great central location. Comfy bed. Clean and tidy. Lovely garden area.
"The View" lives up to its name. It is fascinating to watch the tide and bay continuously changing. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. Cemaes is a good starting point for some excellent coastal walks and we spotted dolphins and grey seals. Another interesting walk was the Copper Mine Trail near Almwch.
The property was very well equipped, everything there you need on arrival and very homely. We had a lovely time there, thank you. It’s a dog-friendly house, so unfortunately there were black hairs all over the lounge and the sofas. The internet connection was erratic and unreliable all week.
This was my third visit. The cottage is ideally positioned for visiting Malltraeth Cob and Marsh area, also for the Newborough Forest area. The village is very quiet with only one small shop and a pub so not for everyone. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants are about a 15 minute drive away. The cottage is clean and comfortable with a very nice enclosed garden. The staircase up to the first floor bedroom is a little hazardous if you have mobility issues but there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.
I booked Gwlgri for two weeks to celebrate my 80th birthday with my family and to complete walking the Anglesey coast path. The farmhouse is a lovely venue for a large family stay and is ideally situated to take advantage of the island location. The farmhouse is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We all felt safe and relaxed there. Thank you.
Fabulous three nights stay in the best location in Cemaes, very comfortable, spacious house with garden! and patio! right on the bay!! Very well equipped kitchen and dining, relaxing lounge and wrap around sun lounges with fantastic views. Nigel, the owner was easily contactable and had lots of advice and helpful tips. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
If you are looking for an excellent base to explore the area around Aberffraw, 40 Church Street has much to offer. It is set in the heart of the village, a minute’s walk from the village store/post office (a rare find these days!) and Y Goron, the recently reopened pub. Five minutes will take you down to the historic bridge and the start of endless opportunities for walking, along the estuary, over the sand dunes and out to the breathtaking splendour of Aberffraw Bay. In the other direction you will discover the Llys Llewelyn kitchen which serves delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon ...more
We all loved this house (8 adults, 1 child, 1 dog!) . It has so much character. Plenty of room for all of us. Some delightful quirks, like the meat hooks in the living room, the view through the window to the ancient walls, and the sloping floors! If you want IKEA furniture and straight lines, this is not the house for you; if you want old world charm and a wonderful place to explore, book it, you won’t be disappointed. Perfect location in the centre of Beaumaris.
Wonderful location and a lovely little place to stay. We had the ‘by the way’ cottage which is fine for two people. We had the Fort to ourselves that week so it was just us, the sea and the birds - I would recommend it.
This gorgeous cottage is set in the most beautiful location, it was very comfortable, clean and cosy. We only stayed 3 nights but I wish we'd stayed longer. Definitely be back.
The above boxes speak for them selves! It is our equal first, by a long way. ………………………… ………………………..
The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price. The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday . The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday. However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no fl...more
The property was excellent with a well tended enclosed garden. The barbecue and hot tub were a particular hit. Rooms were spacious and well equipped with the exception of the double bedroom. This was quite small and the bed was very soft and uncomfortable. There was parking for 3 cars right by the front door. The location was ideal for exploring all the lovely beaches on the east coast of the island.
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
We had a wonderful week at Fort Belan, helped by glorious weather. We were a large group of family and friends occupying 3 cottages. It is a very special place, off the beaten track with beautiful views of the Menai Straits. The children had a great time playing in the grassy quadrangle, and we explored the local beaches, mountains and enjoyed our day in Caernarfon. Gary at Coastal holidays was extremely helpful as was Phil, who helped us when the boiler in one of the cottages wasn't working. The cottages were clean, although they are old properties and could do with an upgrade - there was...more
The owner is a very nice man who will try to please you as much as he possibly can but the fort itself has big potential if money would be invested in it but as for now is old and shabby and full of cobwebs and is only made for people who love these kind of places but is defiantly not value for money.
We had a wonderful week in Fort Belan. We stayed in Dock Cottage - a very quiet, private and peaceful location. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the views from every window are stunning. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals (although the cooker takes a while to warm up - I am used to gas and a fan assisted oven). The bathroom is newly fitted. You can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and soak up the wonderful views The decor needs some updating, the double bed wasn't very comfortable and the rug in the lounge definitely needs to be replaced. However, t...more
Lovely location and well equipped, it’s just a shame that the decor and bathrooms were all tired and in need of redecorating/new installing (in particular the downstairs en-suite really needed the ventilation addressing as it smelt decidedly damp). The 5 star rating that the cottage advertises itself with online was misleading as the 5 star classification certificate displayed in the cottage was dated 2013. Overall the cottage could have done with a thorough deep clean too.
