We've stayed here 4 times now, 3 times in the upper apartment. We are four older ladies so have a bedroom each. It's so quiet at weekends a lovely relaxing environment for us to tootle around or just stay in and watch movies....it is spacious, clean and meets all our needs. With the added benefit of having our shopping delivered by a local supermarket just perfect. This is a great place to stay for all types of groups from families to everyone.
Magic location. Superb facilities which are well managed. Seating area behind these converted milking sheds particularly special for the privacy, ambience & views.
We had an incredible stay. The hosts were brilliant, lovely welcome package when we arrived. Plenty of communication. Ideal location with only 5 mins to beach, restaurants, pubs and shop. Beautiful surroundings.
Very pleasant apartment. Good location especially for walking and wildlife. The welcome pack was a lovely thought, particularly the wine and the Welsh cakes! . Would highly recommend this apartment.
Helpful and friendly landlords, set in a beautiful spot. Would go again to the same property. Our only recommendation would be to install a shower.
One disappointment was the lingering dog smell, we are not dog owners and have stayed in other dog friendly holiday rents without the dog smell. Perhaps the owners should ask if a dog is coming then a more extensive cleaning of the carpets etc. could be undertaken for none dog owners. Would not recommend this for none dog owners.
What an amazing week away during these surreal times! Spring Cottage was amazing , Ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of life! All the best beaches within half hour away! The cottage was spotless, had everything in it for self catering . More than enough space inside.Very comfy Beds and bathrooms! Felt very safe and relaxed . Outside was WOW !! One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever stayed in. We will return .
A lovely bungalow in a quiet spot and really well located.I have no complaints and will be returning when we next visit Anglesey.
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
We had a lovely stay in this log cabin. Plenty of room for 6 adults and everything we needed was provided. It was close to wonderful beaches and a variety of pubs/ restaurants.
Spindrift has it all. Amazing views of the coastline. Short walk into the village centre, which has 3 pubs/restaurants, fish and chips, village shop and numerous antique and gift shops. The walk to the harbour is easy to do and the walk up to the church, slightly more challenging for those not liking up hill walks, but the road to it is good. The coastal walkway passes right outside ,so is easy to join. Spindrift is comfortable and larger thank it looks on the inside Rhian couldn’t have been more helpful We are definitely returning soon
What a fantastic 9 night stay we had here in Tan y Bryn. Relaxing, comfortable, tranquil, well-equipped, home from home property, with everything you could wish for. Perfectly accessible (once you find it!!). For an older or less able person there is no need to use the stairs, everything they need is on one level. Walks from the house are great, taking you easily to Penmon, Puffin island and routes alone the Coastal Path. Views across the Menai Straits and the Irish Sea are beautiful. Llandudno can be seen from the carefully planned windows of the top floor. We cannot recommend this ...more
Lavender cottage was in a remote place but within an easy reach of shops and places to eat. The cottage had all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were on hand and reacted quickly to a slight problem we had. The WiFi was intermittent but the sheep in the neighbouring field didn’t seem to mind the intrusion when needing to use our mobiles. This is the perfect place to completely switch off and unwind.
Lovely weekend enjoyed by all the family. Surrounding garden and play area a real success with our little ones
This was our third visit to Guillemot and we will definitely stay again. Its situated in the centre of Beaumaris, perfect for exploring Beaumaris but also perfectly situated to visit the rest of Anglesey. The house is comfortable and has everything you need including a lovely patio area & garden at the back for when the sun shines, & a bright light garden room for when it doesn't! Shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. We purchase a weeks pass from the hut at the car park on the green. Open 9 to 4.30. Although it works out cheaper sometimes to buy a day pass (£5) the weekl...more
Llwyn Collen was the cleanest place we have ever stayed in, and it had everything you could possibly want for a self catering stay. The owner's who lived next door were great, friendly and informative. Only one slight negative, the Internet connection wasn't very good but that wouldn't stop me going back.
Caradoc was just the perfect place to stay, it was most certainly home from home. Situated in a beautiful place with local amenities including beaches within a few minutes walk. The house itself spared no scrimping on quality living with everything you needed as if this was your own home. I would very highly recommend the Caradoc as I would say it is one of the nicest if not the nicest place I have stayed in Anglesey and I have been going to Anglesey for many years. Just perfect and have already booked for next year!
We felt safe and reassured the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned for our stay during the pandemic. We enjoyed the views, it's a great apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday.
Ideal location for a base from which to explore Anglesey & North Wales. I have mobility problems and the layout of the Coach House met all my needs. The owners, who live on site, were lovely, helpful people who contributed to making our stay a very memorable one.
Ty Lawr continues to be our favourite Cottage on the Island. You get what you pay for is true in this case Highly recommended
The name says it all, the ever changing view is amazing and could keep me happy all week. The main drawback to the accommodation is the access. From the private parking you have to descend 11 deep steps, not in a straight line, there is then a short walk to the bottom of a narrow, steep 18 step staircase up to the door of the flat. Holdalls and physical fitness are the order of the day. It would be helpful if the owner could open the gates on a Saturday so that cars can get nearer for loading and unloading. Once in the spacious flat everything is beautiful, my only niggle was the cleanliness...more
I stayed here with my parents and young son for a relaxing break. The cottage is lovely. There are stunning views of the Menai Straits and a little pier right outside where my son went fishing for crabs each evening. At night we played board games that were available in the cottage. The beds are comfortable, there’s a choice of bath and shower and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full oven, pots and pans and a dishwasher. Booking was straightforward. We were well-placed to get to all the sights around Anglesey. The beaches are fantastic. Lovely.
A good week at Bodafon. Making people wait till 5pm to get keys is unnecessary. The area around the lodge needs some tidying up but the lodge itself is of a good standard. Friendly staff and good location for visiting Beaches around Benellch. Overall an enjoyable holiday and comfortable stay.
In over 30 years of staying on Anglesey, I’ve never stayed in a place as beautiful as Cable Cottage. With four children, all of different ages, this cottage is perfect. One or two baby gates will be needed if you have a toddler but other than that the cottage was safe, secure, very homely and clean. The outside space before the beach is perfect for children playing where you can see them if you have chores to do. The best part, no WiFi. Complete family time for us. Not to everyone’s like, but if you need WiFi you can roam the island and pick it up somewhere. The beach on the doorstep, ...more
Fort Belan is a magical location. You stay in very quaint "cottages" around an immaculately maintained garden/courtyard, deep within the huge fortifications of a Napoleonic fort. By-the-Way is the smallest but cutest. It comprises a cosy bed/sitting room with a clever, tiny mezzanine built-in which really only a child could comfortably use. But there is a small but very grand, full bathroom and a super separate kitchen ( reached through a small tunnel through the massive fort wall! ) Staying Monday to Wednesday we had the whole place to ourselves and the peace and remoteness were heavenly.WE...more
Repeat visitors here and once again, the view just makes this place. It is airy and well configured for an old house. Bedroom 3 at back is very small but comfy and each bedroom can have a seperate bathroom if needed. We are adventure seeking people and it's brilliant to go cycling, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, walking, coasteering and sea jumping (If you know what you are doing). It's at the quiet end of the bay but within easy reach of the shops etc.... 5 min walk. If you just want to chill, there are multiple places to do this, like the side decking with great BBQ (please clean for futu...more
The lane to the house was rather overgrown and could do with a trim back but overall it is a lovely peaceful place to spend a holiday. Coastal Holidays are great will not let you down
Lovely house very spacious, had a warm welcoming feeling. Great location within the town, which is a lovely town with friendly people. Hot tub was lovely. Another key would have been helpfull.
I would highly recommend this lovely cottage in a good location . The kitchen view was breath taking and we found it difficult to leave.
This is a nice, spacious property in an great location just 5 minutes drive from Red Wharf Bay and 10 minutes drive from Benllech beach where there is a well stocked Co-Op store. It is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, everything works and we found it extremely clean. Appears to have been recently re-decorated. Communication with Coastal holidays was excellent. We would definitely stay again.
Spacious house with lots of character. Immediate response when things needed action. Sightings of red squirrels in garden!
The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price. The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday . The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday. However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no fl...more
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Lovely cottage in a stunning location . Large secure garden which our dogs really enjoyed . Short walk down a wooded path leads you down to the beach which was heaven as so quiet . Cottage large and spacious and well equipped . Garden lovely to sit out in . Only slight negative was the garden furniture was tired and some of it broken . Just need a few comfy chairs out there to relax in and would be perfect . Phil the owner could not have been more helpful really accommodating. Definitely would love to go back .
Great location, very friendly team, good accommodation and kitchen well equipped. Needs new beds, other than that we were more than happy with everything
We had a wonderful week in Fort Belan. We stayed in Dock Cottage - a very quiet, private and peaceful location. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the views from every window are stunning. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals (although the cooker takes a while to warm up - I am used to gas and a fan assisted oven). The bathroom is newly fitted. You can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and soak up the wonderful views The decor needs some updating, the double bed wasn't very comfortable and the rug in the lounge definitely needs to be replaced. However, t...more
We were incredibly lucky to grab this property at short notice for a week in the summer holidays. The location is stunning, right on the Menai Strait with fantastic views over to Snowdonia from the conservatory. This is a peaceful spot, dark and quiet at night, great for bird watching. The house is spacious with plenty of seating areas and a really well equipped kitchen. We found plenty to do on Anglesey and particularly enjoyed visiting nearby Newborough Beach. Coastal Holidays could not have done more to help us so we would highly recommend Coastal Holidays as an agency as well as the proper...more
The cottage is in a beautiful location however its tired. It appears that there were some upgrades a few years ago but there is some damp in the main bedroom around the window (the windows down stairs are difficult to open which doesn't help this situation). The sofa was quite smelly perhaps someone had slept on it and the lounge furniture overall lumpy and unsupported as was the main double bed.The cottage could benefit from new table lamps throughout and one or two in the lounge would be a great addition. The fridge/freezer is old and rusty and the fridge light has blown and was missing. The ...more
Access via a very bumpy track, but worth it for the beautiful location. Lodge was looking rather tired. Shower door didn’t fit properly and couldn’t close, but unit well equipped. Peaceful, secluded week, enjoyed it!
Good basic holiday accomodation. Would recommend having more comfortable outdoor furniture. Owners very friendly and very helpful Coastal Holidays were excellent. Would definitely use them again Thank them for all their help and advice
Clean and well equipped with unusual layout of rooms. Bedrooms quite spacious but no chairs provided. Comfortable beds. Lounge small for more than 6 adults. Kitchen OK but operating the cooker hob needed a technical degree! Garden private and secure for pets and children. Although there was no traffic or noisy neighbours, the trains on the adjacent Holyhead line and the jets from RAF Valley were quite intrusive at times, and we found the frequency and noise of both much more than expected. Also the boiler fired up around 6.20am every day causing disturbance to the two bedrooms on either s...more
